Field Trip into Another Dimension

Summary:

Teenager on a field trip gets isekai'd into Pokémon via Ultra Wormhole while playing Pokémon GO on their field trip. It seems like some strangely familiar Pokémon have ended up being dragged into this world with him, but can be find the others?

Original/Previous Title: An Amusing Field of Accidents

Notes:

First fanfic I've ever made! I decided that I wanted to make a Pokemon Isekai fanfic (because I am so original) after an idea came into my head one day (Aka about a week ago).

If you notice anything like misspellings or have suggestions or anything really, feel free to comment!

(Also you are free to use that tag about the roller coaster I made up wherever the fuck you want.)

Chapter Text

“This is the 3rd time in a row we've gone to the Enchanted Kingdom for the field trip. Can they really not pick a different destination?” I asked my classmate.

“I dunno. They either don't have any other places in mind or there's something between our school and Enchanted Kingdom.” My classmate answered.

I sigh as I look out the bus window. “I'm gonna go back in there out of pure boredom.” I tell my classmate.

“Well, you better be back here in an hour Matt. Wouldn't wanna get left behind, now would we?” My classmate teases me.

“Ya, ya, I know. It's not like they'll actually leave anyone behind unless they're really, and I mean REALLY late.” I tell my classmate before standing up and walking out of the bus.

I walk back into the Enchanted Kingdom after presenting my ticket to the guards. I pull my phone out of my pocket and open Pokémon GO. “Maybe there's a raid somewhere around here? Or at least a gym to conquer?” I ask no one in particular. I continue walking through the Enchanted Kingdom as I play Pokémon GO.

After walking all the way to the other side of the Enchanted Kingdom, I sigh in disappointment. “No raids here and all the gyms are already under my teams control and full. I should probably walk back to the bus. Maybe grab a snack on the way back or something?” I say as I walk back the way I came. As I walk through the Enchanted Kingdom however, something feels off.

Suddenly, all the power around the Enchanted Kingdom turns off! “What the hell is going on?” I say as I look around. The rides stopped moving and some of the people on said rides are now stuck on it. “I guess it was a good idea not to get on that one ride I was seriously thinking about going on one earlier.” I tell myself as I continue walking to the exit.

Suddenly, a shadow casts over me from behind. As I turn around, I see one of the carts from the Twin Spin ride approaching me rapidly! Panic fills me as I try to run to the side to dodge it but my body freezes in fear. Suddenly, right before it hits me, the manhole I was standing on suddenly falls, taking me with it! But instead of landing in the sewer, I end up going through a weird looking tunnel, looking a lot like a wormhole. As I fall, my consciences starts fading...

AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF HOURS LATER:

I let out a small grunt as I slowly regain consciousness. After some time, I sit up as my headache starts going away. After it fades away completely, I look at my surroundings. Despite the fact that it looks like sunset is approaching, I can still see my surroundings, leaving me aghast to see grass, trees, mountain ranges and a nearby river.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light visible from the corner of my eye. I turned to look at the direction it came from, but all I saw was the clear sky. “Where the hell am I?” I ask as I continue to look around before noticing something on the ground some distance away from me.

“What the hell is my bag doing here? I left it at the bus...” I say as I approach my bag and start going through it. “Well it looks like everything's intact at least... Spare clothes, some food, water, charger, powerbank, my headset, and the spare headset.”

I check my pocket after I finish going through the bag and take my phone out. “It doesn't seem damaged, that's good. But there isn't any signal here which is a disaster. All of this is a disaster to be honest.” I start putting my stuff back into my bag before I notice something on the bottom of the bag. What appeared to be four Poké Balls, six Ultra Balls and one Cherish Ball were sitting in the bottom of my bag. “What the fuck?” I stare at the balls for what feels like forever before grabbing one of the Poké Balls and examining it. Red top, white bottom, black stripe in the middle and a white button on the front, just as I remembered it.

After examining the Poké Ball, I contemplate on if I should press the button and see if a Pokémon was inside it because apparently, my mind just automatically thought there would be a Pokémon inside despite the fact that they definitely didn't exist... right? Sadly, it doesn't seem like I get a choice as it opens by itself and a red beam comes out of it! I accidentally drop the Poké Ball out of shock as the red beam finally stops coming out of the Poké Ball. I stare at the area the red beam stops at, a red light shining above the ground before quickly dissipating, sparkles appearing for a brief second around the creature that took the place of the red light. Green eyes meet mine, as the VERY REAL POKÉMON noticed me. Guess I was wrong about them not existing then! But then the Pokémon did something I wasn't expecting.

Oh, evening already? Well, what did you want, human?

I stare at it- Her, it was definitely female. Not that I was sure but I just had this feeling it was a she. She stared back at me with a smile as I stood there in silence. ‘This can't be real, can it?’ I thought to myself. Hovering in front of me was a Celebi! A SHINY CELEBI! I stood there and stared at her for what felt like an eternity, trying to wrap my head around what was happening. There was an honest to god Celebi right infront of me! AND SHE COULD SPEAK?!

You're looking at me funny, is something wrong? She asks me.

“It's nothing, this is just very...” I trail off. “You're a Pokémon, yes?” I ask her, despite the answer being very fucking obvious. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going clinically insane, y'know?

Yep! A Celebi to be specific! Hey, I never got your name! Celebi asks me.

“Uhh... I'm Matt. So... You're a Pokémon, but how can I understand you?” I ask.

Telepathy, silly! I'm a Psychic Type! She answers."

“...You know, in retrospect, that was a stupid question with a very obvious answer. But... how and why are you here?” I ask curiously.

From the way Celebi tapping her chin, I could tell that she didn't know herself. “...I actually don't know? Last thing I remember was talking with the others in that weird green and white place? She answers before suddenly getting an idea. Wait, I know! I'll just ask myself! She says excitedly before a blue portal appeared behind her. She flew into it, the portal vanishing for about two seconds before reappearing in the exact same spot, Celebi flying out of it and the portal disappearing once again. I'm back! How about you ask me some questions?

“Uhh... Let me repeat the last question then, how and why are you here?” I ask.

So apparently, me and the others got summoned from a place called HOME? I think that was the name? Anyways, we got turned from code or something into actual Pokemon? I was always a Celebi though so I'm not sure... So, basically, when you fell into the Ultra Wormhole, our Poké Balls were placed into your bag somehow? I don't really know the specifics of how that works so please don't ask me. I won't be able to provide you with an actual answer. She said, adding that last part in sheepishly (Or would it be "Mareepishly" or something?).

After a few seconds of dead silence and processing what she just said, I decided to just get on with it and ask the next question. “So... I fell through an Ultra Wormhole? Then where the actual hell am I now?”

The World of Pokémon, duh!

Again, more seconds of silence before my next question. “So... I do have one last question? I hope it's my last. Who else are in the other Poké Balls?”

The others! Also known as, your other Pokémon! Well, the ones from the HOME place specifically?

I look back at the other Poké Balls and walk over to one and click the button, which ends up releasing a shiny Bounsweet. “Huh...”

Celebi approaches with Bounsweet with a hint of confusion in her eyes. Weren't you a Tsareena a few minutes ago?

Bouns! Bounsweet! Bounsweet replys.

“Ya, I didn't get any of that?” I tell her.

She said that she noticed and is a bit frustrated about it. Though what I don't get is how you even devolved in the first place, since that shouldn't even be possible?

As they continued talking, I grabbed the other two Poké Balls and pressed the buttons, releasing both a Shaymin and Rotom. Shaymin, for whatever reason, was in Land Forme instead of the Sky Forme which was what I had them- Nope, it's definitely a her like a Celebi. I know that she was in Sky Forme when I last checked Pokémon HOME if I'm assuming what Celebi said was true.

Man, it feels great to finally touch grass! Shaymin said as I released her. ‘I'm not even gonna ask.’ I moved onto the six Ultra Balls.

I open all six. each containing an Eevee, Chansey, Bidoof, Bronzor, Magby and Elgyem. All shinies of course, having been caught from GO and transferred to HOME when I fully evolved them, which begs the question, what's with the devolving? I finally get to the Cherish Ball and open it, releasing the Melmetal you get for transferring a Pokémon GO Pokemon to Pokémon HOME. I was also fairly certain that the Melmetal was level 100 last I checked but decided not to bother with it.

After getting everyone settled, Celebi held a meeting of sorts. She told them what happened and everyone seemed fine with it for whatever reason? Then again, assuming they were the same Pokémon from Pokémon GO, they definitely would've seen some shit like Shadow Pokemon, GO Rocket or the whole thing with Necrozma during the 2024 GO Fest.

Suddenly, Shaymin spoke up to ask a question, unknowingly changing the subject. Question, why did some of us devolve? Blissey's a Chansey now, not a Happiny and Melmetal didn't devolve at all so it definitely isn't just devolving everyone to the first stage of their evolution line for whatever reason.

“I might have an idea as to why.” I answered. “I think I have an idea... I caught Blissey as a Chansey, Melmetal was a Gift Pokémon and everyone else was caught as they are right now...” After a few seconds, everyone seemed to agree with that idea. “We should probably find a place to stay at for the night. I can barely see the sun anymore.” We spent some time looking around before finding a small cave in the of a cliff. It was fairly easy to set up shelter in a small grotto on the side of a cliff face when you have Pokémon do all the work. Not to say I didn't help, but they definitely did more than I did in the past month of my life. After getting a campfire started, courtesy of Magby, everyone decided to get some rest.

I had some difficulty sleeping as I thought back to everything that happened in the past not even 24 hours. ‘Going on a school field trip, ending up in the same amusement park for the 3rd time in a row, almost getting hit by a roller coaster, falling through an Ultra Wormhole and being isekai'd into the World of Pokémon. Yup, definitely normal.’ I decided that I had enough for one day and went to sleep.

Chapter Text

I'm gonna start making notes on my phone for important events. Wouldn't wanna loose track of my activities in a different universe, now would I?

So... I've ended up in... Quite the interesting predicament if I do say so myself...

In under 24 hours, I have:

1. Gone to the same amusement park for the 3rd field trip in a row.

2. Nearly got hit by a roller coaster.

3. Fell through an Ultra Wormhole.

4.Got isekai'd into Pokémon.

5. Found a bunch of balls in my bag.

6. Somehow ended up with Pokémon I owned in HOME, which was a bunch of shinies and 3 mythicals.

7. And finally, took shelter in a small grotto in the middle of a random forest somewhere in the world of Pokémon.

I wonder what region I'm in... Wait, I just realized how worried everyone back home must be! I really wish there was a way back. Now if only I had an Ultra Beast or Jirachi. Maybe even Arceus? Ya sadly, I don't. Oh well... I should probably mark this as the end of Day 1. Day 2 coming tomorrow! Wonder how this is gonna turn out!

Matt POV:

After waking up and having some breakfast with my Pokémon (Me eating some reheated leftover food I brought for the field trip and the others eating berries they found nearby), I started organizing my things in the bag and noticed something in one of the side pockets of my bag. It was another Poké Ball with a note attached!

Gift for creating a Binder!

After reading that short note, I just stared at said note for awhile. “Did I really forget to check the Gift Box in HOME?”

Check the what now?

I nearly fell forwards as the voice suddenly spoke behind me. I turn around and saw Shaymin looking up at me curiously as I held the Poké Ball.

“I found this Poké Ball in the side pocket of my bag.” I told her as I held out said Poké Ball.

Huh... Can't say I would know who's inside it. Everyone that I knew of that was in the HOME place is here with us.

“Actually, do you know how I got Rotom and Melmetal?”

While I wasn't there when they showed up, Magby, who was a Magmortar like a day ago, told me something about them being given to you for some reason? Melmetal was right after they were transferred from our original home to the HOME place and Rotom was after one of them was traded away?

“Yeah. Anyways, this Poké Ball and the Pokémon inside it seems to have arrived after I changed my binder in HOME. You think it would be a good idea if I open it now?”

You do that. I'll go get the others and tell them what's happening. She proceeded to walk back towards the others.

I decide to just go with it and open the Poké Ball. It releases the Pokémon the same way as all other Poké Balls do. And now there was a slightly confused looking Pichu staring at me before walking up to me and hugging my leg.

‘Now that I think about it, I did read the list of Gift Pokémon in HOME on Bulbapedia and it did say that stickers would give me Pichu. Probably should've expected that.’

After Shaymin returned with the others and having some brief introductions, I returned everyone to their Poké Balls for the first time ever since getting here as I ventured through the forest in hopes of finding some sort of civilization. What followed would have been an uneventful journey for the average person in this world but to me, it was like something out of a storybook. Seeing Pokémon in such a beautiful environment would have been something I'd never have been able to experience back on Earth. I would occasionally let the team out for lunch and whatnot.

It was Day 3 of being stranded in this world. I had some berries for food and now I can confirm that they do indeed taste the way the games and Bulbapedia says they taste like. Later on in the afternoon, Rotom ended up possessing my phone for reasons I do not know. While a bit annoying, it did at least fully charge my phone, so there's that.

It was Day 4 and we decided to stop in what looked like an abandoned cabin near a lake. The cabin was a bit dirty, signifying that no one had been there for quite some time but after a quick cleanup session (And by quick I mean like 2-3 hours of cleaning), the cabin was in a better state than previously.

We decided to hit the hay for the day and get some rest.

SOMEWHERE NEARBY...

??? POV:

So you actually saw him?

Yep! Went into a cabin near the river! Some of the others whom we haven't seen for awhile were there too!

Good. These last few days have been very confusing. It'll be good to see some other familiar faces.

Should we go there now?

Not yet. It's night so they're probably asleep. But tomorrow noon,we go there. Hopefully we can get some answers as to what happened and where we are from him.

Let's go get ready, then! I flew back into the forest, my friend following close behind.

Notes:

Pichu ♂ *Gift Pokémon*:
Level 5 before creation
Static
Moves: Thunder Shock, Tail Whip, Play Nice
Poké Ball

I'm gonna try to start making the chapters longer and I'm probably gonna make a story now since I've just been gunning it for awhile.

Trivia:
-I received the Gift Pichu sometime after Chapter 1's release since I didn't check the Gift Box for awhile. Thankfully, I managed to incorporate him into the story still!
-The voices in the end we're originally gonna show up to Matt physically during this chapter. Decided to push it to next chapter since Pichu happened. You'll see who they are next chapter!

It's 5:48 AM as I release this so I'm gonna go to bed now, ciao!

Chapter 3: Meeting of Allies

Summary:

Matt and his Pokémon are finally getting used to this new world. Sadly, things don't go exactly as planned and may result in some injuries or even death if they can't win! Thankfully, it seems like some old friends have shown up to lend a hand!

Notes:

YOOO 250 HITS! LES GO!

Also, sorry this chapter took so long! Procrastination and laziness is a real issue for me lmao.

I tried to make this chapter longer and I think I did a good job at that! Again, comments on anything, even criticism, helps out alot so I'd appreciate some feedback!

Also, new Co-creator! Snoop's a good friend of mine and won't update this herself and is just here for proof reading!

Welp I better stop boring you with this beginning note lol.

2024-09-18 Update: Made my own work skin and added colors to Pokémon dialogue.

2025-08-20 Update: All dialogues or thoughts that used the following symbols: ", ', have been changed to instead use the following symbols: “, ”, ‘, ’. Some sentences were also changed to have much better wording and some grammar and spelling mistakes were corrected.

Chapter Text

Entries for Day 2-4:

Decided to put Day 2-4 together since not much happened in those days for each of them to warrant an entry of their own.

Day 2: After eating some leftover food from the field trip, I decided to organize all my belongings in the bag. I found a Poké Ball in one of the bags side pockets for "Creating a Binder" and now I have a Pichu. I now thank my past self for having downloaded some Bulbapedia pages and my entire Spotify Playlist. I suppose charging my phone won't be much of an issue considering I have two electric types, one of them even being able to posses my phone! Thankfully, they haven't done that yet. That's about it for today!

Day 3: I had some berries for food and now I can confirm that they do indeed taste the way Bulbapedia says they taste like. Specifically, I had Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Leppa and Oran. Also, Rotom possessed my phone for a while. Ended up fully charging my phone at least. Anyways, we'll continue the journey tomorrow. Hopefully find some civilization.

Day 4: Found a cabin near a river. It was very dirty but was easy enough to clean, and by easy, I mean it took 2-3 hours. Needless to say, the others are already asleep. I don't have much else to write so that's about it for now. Signing off now.

After breakfast and a quick bath in the nearby river, I started going through the cabin to see if anything useful or cool was there. While I did find a few clothes here and there, they were too small or big and were too torn to wear. I did find a small wooden box with a pin lock on it and seeing how small and nicely kept it looked, I decided not to break it open and just put in my bags side pocket.

When I got back outside however, I saw Pichu and Magby fighting! Magby used Ember but Pichu dodged and returned the favor with a Thunder Shock!

“Hey! What's going on? Why are you two fighting?” I yelled as I ran up to them.

Magby Mag?

Pichu Pi!

I sighed as they continued talking. “Must I need to remind everyone I don't speak Pokémon?”

They we're having a battle. That's about it really. Nothing too bad. Shaymin replied.

“Oh. Well, continue on then! I forgot that Pokémon can battle without trainers sometimes...” And just like that, the battle resumed.

Magby used Ember again which Pichu dodged. Before being able to fire off another Thunder Shock, Magby used Smokescreen to hide herself and Pichu missed the Thunder Shock because of it. Magby then charged out of the smoke and tackled Pichu. Pichu dodged another Ember after getting back up and got close enough to Magby and used Tail Whip which actually whipped Magby with his tail. Pichu then fired a Thunder Shock but was countered with Ember. Another Smokescreen was created by Magby and she ran out of the smoke to try and tackle Pichu again. Having known this trick, Pichu dodged to the right and avoided the tackle but before he could celebrate, Magby fired an Ember and hit Pichu. Pichu tried to get back up but fainted as he tried to lift himself up, making Magby the winner of the battle. After both got their injuries healed thanks to Chansey, they fist bumped which was probably the most adorable thing I've ever witnessed!

It had been an hour or two after the battle and noon was approaching so I decided to make some lunch. Me, Chansey and Elgyem went berry hunting for about half an hour. Elgyem would find and pick the berries and Chansey would inspect the berry to see if they we're good and I would carry the berries in a paper bag I had in my bag which I had brought in case I brought to the field trip in case I bought something that wouldn't fit in my bag. After making our way back to the cabin, I took some wooden bowls from what I would assume used to be the kitchen of the cabin. After cleaning the bowls in the lake and drying it with a tissue, I placed them on the table and took a cutting board and a knife which were also cleaned and start slicing the berries into pieces and place them into the bowls, each berry having it's own bowl, which was six. Me and my team then had a pretty juicy lunch.

After lunch, me, Eevee and Bidoof (And technically Rotom as well though they were possessing my phone at the moment) decided to take a look for firewood in the forest. As we look around, we suddenly hear a bunch of chirping, making both Eevee and Bidoof tense. I look around my surroundings and see that we've been surrounded by a bunch of Fletchlings, a few Fletchinders and a single Talonflame! Must've accidentally stumbled into their territory by accident, and they don't seem to be the merciful type. Eevee and Bidoof seem to be trying to talk things out but fall on deaf ears as some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders attack!

Not expecting the sudden attack, Eevee and Bidoof aren't able to react fast enough only for the attacking Fletchlings and Fletchinders to be hit by a Thunder Shock as Rotom zips infront of the two. Some of the other Fletchlings attack as well but are stopped by Eevee's Quick Attack and Bidoof's Rollout and are also zapped by Rotom afterwards. Some of the Fletchlings either flee or faint but most are still fighting! Some more Fletchlings and Fletchinders join in as the Talonflame watches from above a tree. Eevee, Bidoof and Rotom are all separated and are each fighting about 4-8 Pokémon at once.

Eevee battles four Fletchlings and two Fletchinders. Being my 2nd highest level Pokémon right behind Melmetal, Eevee has enough experience to dispatch them pretty quickly, using a combination of Sand Attack, Quick Attack, Swift and Bite

Bidoof battles three Fletchlings and two Fletchinders. He struggles a bit more compared to Eevee due to not having as much experience and having less moves but makes up for it by using a combination of Yawn and Rollout, eventually hammering them away.

Rotom struggles the most compared to the other two, having the least expensive due to being a Gift Pokémon and having three total moves. Facing off against, five Fletchlings and one Fletchinder, they use all moves differently. Astonish when close enough to an opponent, Double Team to dodge and make the opponent guess which one is the real one and Thunder Shock to attack from a range, eventually laying down the law on them.

With most of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders taken care of, the remaining ones tense up and get ready to attack as well. All three of my Pokémon get into a fighting stance, challenging them until the Talonflame decides to join in as well. We all have a stare down, me looking at the Talonflame dead in the eyes. After what feels like an eternity, Eevee, Bidoof, Rotom and the remaining Fletchlings and Fletchinders charge into each other like soldiers in a battlefield! Despite being outnumbered, my team holds up pretty well and even defeats some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders before an entire minute even passes by!

Some minutes later, my team defeats most of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders and is about to defeat the rest of them until the Talonflame suddenly joins in and attacks my team! Caught off guard, my team barely dodges the Talonflame's Flare Blitz which allows the leftover Fletchlings and Fletchinders an opportunity to attack. With the battlefield a bit more even now, my team struggles against the Talonflame, sometimes failing to dodge it or the Fletchlings and Fletchinders attacks. My team eventually takes care of all the Fletchlings and most of the Fletchinders but continues to struggle against the remaining Fletchinders and Talonflame.

Eventually, my first Pokémon goes down, that being Rotom who was taken out by Talonflame's Flare Blitz. I recall Rotom into their Poké Ball, leaving only Eevee and Bidoof in the fight. Suddenly, more Fletchlings and Fletchinders appear, most likely being the ones from earlier but looking a lot less beaten up now. The sudden reinforcements make both my Pokémon struggle, both having already been exhausted by Talonflame alone. While some of the Fletchlings are taken out, most of them as well as the Fletchinders and Talonflame continue the assault, eventually leaving them both exhausted and panting as they struggle to even stand. I decide to back up a bit and recall both of them before making a run for, ducking under the trees and some of the following Fletchlings and Fletchinders.

After some running, a end up in a clearing with a cliff-face, essentially being a dead up les I climb the cliff without being assaulted by the relentless bird Pokémon following me. “Well shit!” I shouted as I turn around and realize I'm surrounded by the bird Pokémon on all sides, including above the cliff. Some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders charge at me and start pecking at my forearm and shin which thankfully were covered by sleeves and pants but it still hurt like shit!

Eventually, they stop as a sudden Twister forms in front of me, making the attackers either back away in suprise or be flung by the Twister. The one's that didn't dodge the twister in time were immediately knocked out as soon as they hit the ground. All of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders that were able to dodge charged towards me again but were all unable to dodge a sudden Hurricane that was again formed in front of me and were all knocked out. Some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders that were watching from the sidelines earlier charged at me, this time looked around everywhere but up in case something else happened. The remaining Fletchlings and Fletchinders were lying on either the ground or the branches they were on with a barely noticeable purple hue on, which from what I've researched meant they were poisoned. The ones charging at me were struck by a something colored brown and cream with a what looked like wings one their sides which had a metallic shine on it. After striking all of them down, the Pokémon landed in front of me, revealing itself to be a Pidgeot! It looked back at me and nodded it's head and turned back towards the Talonflame on the other side of the battlefield. But as it looked at me, I noticed something on it's neck. It was a pink colored necklace with a orange and pink marble on it's pendant, which I swear I've seen before but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't remember what it was.

The Talonflame on the other side of the battlefield shrieked loudly and used Flare Blitz as it flew towards us with Pidgeot countering with a Quick Attack and Steel Wing combo. The two clashed in a conflict, with both pushing against the other.

Eventually, both pulled back and clashed again, and again, and again. After some more clashes, Talonflame flew up quickly, Pidgeot following close behind. I looked up and saw a red glow falling towards me, a silver glow following closely behind it. It quickly becomes apparent that the Talonflame is nose diving towards me to attack me! I try running but the Talonflame seems to be locked onto me, heading towards me. I try finding something to get behind before realizing the nearest trees are too far to get to before being struck. I turn my back against the cliff-face and prepare to dodge and have the Talonflame hit the cliff-face instead until, just about two dozen inches away from me, something stops the Talonflame dead in it's tracks. I try to see what's blocking it but the red and orange glow from the Flare Blitz makes it difficult to open my eyes without being blinded although I do see a bit of a turquoise sphere around me meaning it's most likely Protect that's blocking it though who's actually using it is difficult to see.

Talonflame is then smacked aside by a Quick Attack from Pidgeot. The two have another clash between Steel Wing and Flare Blitz, but I notice something behind the Talonflame. A stinger? It glows a purple hue and strikes Talonflame in the back, poisoning it! Talonflame flinches from the sudden attack, allowing Pidgeot to easily overpower it's Flare Blitz, knocking them aside. Talonflame attempts to get up before suddenly being stung with two stingers belonging to a Beedrill. The Beedrill also had a black necklace with a black and yellow marble on the pendant. The Talonflame is knocked unconscious, leaving just me and the two Pokémon that saved my ass from death. I sit down on the grass, leaning against the cliff-face and panting. Running for dear life, being pecked relentlessly and almost dying definitely was not a relaxing experience.

As I rest, the Beedrill and Pidgeot approach me albeit without looking like wanting to murder me like the Talonflame. The Pidgeot stands next to me, observing me whilst the Beedrill circles my head. After catching my breath, I finally speak up. “Thanks for the save back there you two...” I say as I pause briefly to catch me breath. “I'd probably be dead right now had it not been for you two...”

Beedrill stopped circling my head and hovered in front of me before closing their eyes and replying happily. Bee!

Pidge. Pidgeot replies, albeit in a more calm and serious tone.

“You know? I'd ask why but I really don't speak Pokémon.” I reply whilst shrugging. “We could head back to the cabin though I kinda lost the path? Look, when you're being chased for your goddamn life, you really don't tend to pay attention to where your going as long as it gets you away.”

Pidgeot nods once and takes off as Beedrill continues circling above my head. After a few minutes, Pidgeot returns and points to my left. Pidgeot Pidge.

I look to where their pointing and look back at them as I point in the same direction they are. “That way?” Pidgeot simply nods their head and crouches down before looking at me and gesturing me to hop on. “You want me to get on?” They nod again and I simply shrug and get on, Beedrill following close behind as I slowly mount Pidgeot's back, making sure to be careful to not accidentally pluck a feather or something. Pidgeot looks back at me once I'm fully mounted and I nod at them. They turn their head to the sky before flapping their wings and taking off with Beedrill following closely behind.

It took until we we're in the sky for it to fully sink in that I was flying on a Pokémon! Seven year old me would freak out and so did I until I looked down and immediately regret that as I realize how high we we're, the cliff I was backed into earlier now being below us. Having a small fear of heights definitely didn't help. What made it worse was how sudden and fast we went flying towards the cabin, the wind slapping against my face. It stayed like that for a few minutes at least.

By the time we landed outside the cabin and right next to the river, it was already sunset. I got off Pidgeot and immediately felt nauseous. The Pokémon I left here in the cabin ran up to me to make sure I was ok and helped me feel a bit better (Though still nauseous). I stood up and grabbed all the balls in my pocket and released Eevee, Bidoof and Rotom from their balls. Though they looked less exhausted now, they we're still injured and we're immediately given medical treatment courtesy of Chansey.

After finally getting most of the nausea out of my system via barfing onto a nearby patch of grass and having Magby scorch it, I finally cleared my throat and looked at all my Pokémon. “So the search for firewood did not go as planned, as you can tell. Whether it was the others being injured or the fact I don't have any firewood that made you realize that, it doesn't matter.” The reason I even searched for firewood was to have Magby light it on fire so everyone could sleep around it. As hot as Magby is, you'd need to be pretty much right next to her to feel the heat so unless we all dogpile on poor Magby, not everyone would get that warmth.

I continued talking about what happened out there to the rest of my team. From the aggressive flock of those damned roasted birds, to the chase and to the rescue. Eventually, night fell and thankfully, Chansey, Elgyem and Bounsweet had picked berries before we got back for dinner so dinner wasn't an issue. They also gathered some firewood just in case we didn't have enough and since I didn't have any to bring back, we obviously used it.

It was nearly midnight now, everyone having fallen asleep in the cabin, with Beedrill and Pidgeot deciding to stay there as well. I sat in top of a hill near the cabin for awhile before a voice came from behind me. You alright there?

I looked behind me and saw Celebi hovering behind me. “Ya. Just thinking about what happened today really...”

What about it? Celebi asked curiously.

“Two things really. One, why did Beedrill and Pidgeot save me? Like, don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did and I owe my life to them but why? And two, those marbles on their pendants. I feel like I've seen them before but I don't know where. It's just... It's just very confusing to me...” I replied as I stared at the night sky.

I guess that's valid. They did tell me they'd ask us questions tomorrow. Well, Pidgeot specifically since Beedrill's just happy to be here from the looks of it! Oh,also, their both girls apparently and Beedrill gets a BIT mad if you refer to her as a male so... Ya, don't do that. Celebi replied staring at the sky as well.

“Heh, I'll keep that in mind.” I replied. “The sky looks beautiful tonight, does it not?”

Oh definitely! I've always wanted to go to space! Celebi replied.

I looked back towards her before speaking. “You know? The night sky was never this pretty back home. Most of the stars and the nebula never appear back home cuz of light pollution.” I looked back towards the sky before continuing. “I've only ever seen this once before when I was kid on vacation in a province visiting some cousins. It was breathe taking. I don't even know how long I stared at the night sky before we got on the bus back home. I never saw it again afterwards until a few nights ago but I never really stopped to look at it during our first few days here...” I stopped talking as I stared into the sky. “I'm rambling aren't I?” I asked her jokingly.

Celebi looked down at me and giggled before replying. Hey, nothing wrong with sharing interests and stories!

We continued star gazing before I suddenly yawned. “Welp, I should go to bed now.”

I should too. Last one into the cabin is a rotten egg! Celebi replied before speeding off towards to cabin.

“Hey, no fair! You can fly and got a head start!” I shouted at her before following closely behind.

Notes:

So I'm assuming y'all aren't dumb and know what the marbles are. If you don't, they're Mega Stones (A Beedrillite and Pidgeotite to be specific). If y'all wanna know how a Pokémon I have to have a Mega Stone, they must either have Mega Evolved at least once or have enough Mega Energy to Mega Evolve. Pidgeot counts for the former and Beedrill for the latter.

I love star gazing it's just kinda relaxing tbh. Love astronomy.

New Pokémon:
Beedrill ♀ *Mega/Purified*:
Sniper/Adaptability *Mega Only*
Beedrillite
Moves: Poison Jab, Return, Aerial Ace, X-Scissor, Twineedle, Toxic, Protect
Premier Ball

Pidgeot ♀ *Mega*:
Keen Eye/No Guard *Mega Only*
Pidgeotite
Moves: Aerial Ace, Feather Dance, Hurricane, Quick Attack, Sand Attack, Twister, Steel Wing
Great Ball

Trivia:
-Me and Snoop absolutely despise the Talonflame line in Unite. Goddamn roasted chicken.
-Beedrill is a Purified Pokémon from my GO Account which is why she knows Return.

Day 5: Almost fucking died today! Yippee! :D

I should start from the beginning, shouldn't I? So after breakfast, I went through the cabin looking for something. I found a small wooden box with a pin lock on it. I decided not to break open yet since the box actually looked pretty neat. I went outside and saw Pichu and Magby having your run of the mill Pokémon Battle. I was a bit confused at first but after being told as to what was happening, I let them continue. The battle, while not as intense as the battles shown in the games, anime or the manga, was still pretty neat! I mean, a real life Pokémon Battle right in front of you? Sign me up, baby! Anyways, Magby won and she and Pichu had their injuries healed by Chansey then fist bumped which was probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen!

When noon arrived, me, Chansey and Elgyem went to look for berries. Elgyem would find and pick the berries and Chansey would inspect the berry to see if they we're good and I would carry the berries in a paper bag I had in my bag which I had brought in case I brought to the field trip in case I bought something that wouldn't fit in my bag. We then ate said lunch in bowls I found in the cabin. After lunch was when things got really intense. It started with me, Eevee, Bidoof and Rotom looking for firewood in the forest before accidentally stumbling upon the nest of some pretty hostile Fletchlings and Fletchinders, as well as their Talonflame leader. They wouldn't just let us leave so my team had to fight a bunch of Fletchlings and Fletchinders. It was going pretty well until Talonflame decided to join in which was when things very, and I mean VERY bad. Rotom was knocked out near immediately and was soon followed by both Eevee and Bidoof. I recalled all three and ran as fast as I possibly could through the forest before being met by a cliff-face which was essentially a dead end. I was surrounded on all sides, including above, by the Fletchlings and Fletchinders and the Talonflame. Some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders then started pecking at my sleeves and pants. They didn't cause too many injuries but it fucking hurt. Suddenly, a Twister formed right on them, with them either dodging or being yeeted by the Twister, knocking them unconscious. The ones that dodged went on the attack again before all by hit by a Hurricane, also knocking them out cold. It was at this point I noticed some of the Fletchlings and Fletchinders that were watching had been poisoned and knocked out. The ones that weren't charged at me, albeit looking left and right. Sadly, they didn't look up, allowing of my saviour to swoop down and use a Quick Attack and Steel Wing combo on them, knocking them all out cold. The mysterious Pokémon was actually a Pidgeot who had a pink colored necklace with a orange and pink marble on the pendant. She and the Talonflame then fought fiercely. Eventually, the Talonflame flew up, Pidgeot following closely behind. The Talonflame then tried to Flare Blitz into me before being stopped by my other saviour whom used Protect in front of me, allowing Pidgeot to catch up to the Talonflame and toss them aside with a Quick Attack. Pidgeot and Talonflame then clashed again, which allowed my other saviour to poison them with a stinger. They flinched as they felt the stinger hit them, allowing Pidgeot to use Steel Wing on them, knocking them aside. They tried to get up before my other saviour, a Beedrill whom had a necklace similar to Pidgeot's except black with a black and yellow marble on the pendant, used Twineedle on them, finally knocking them out cold. It took a while for me to catch my breathe. After some introductions and all that, we went back to the cabin, me getting on Pidgeot's back. The experience was a mixed bag to be honest.

When we made it back, I had myself, Eevee, Bidoof and Rotom looked at by Chansey (After I got rid of the nausea by vomiting might I add). We had dinner and thankfully, some of the others found some firewood which we used.

That's about it for Day 5. Combining Day 1-4 wouldn't even get to half of this summary which is crazy! I should probably head to bed soon. After star gazing for a bit longer though... The night sky here is really pretty.

I woke up at around eight o'clock in the morning and saw that some of the others were still asleep with the exception of Chansey, Shaymin and Bounsweet whom I could see outside through the window. Weirdly enough, I didn't see either Beedrill or Pidgeot anywhere. I carefully tiptoed around the others that we're still sleeping. I manage to avoid everyone and get to the door. I open the door and step outside, stretching my arms as I got outside. I went over to the nearby river to wash my face. After splashing myself wide awake, I went over to the others to see what they were doing.

“Hey there! What're y'all doing?” I asked as I walked up to them.

All three of them looked at me a bit suprised judging by their facial expressions. Preparing breakfast. I'm suprised you got up early though. You were the 2nd to last to wake up yesterday. Shaymin replied before going back to counting the berries they collected.

“Trust me, I don't understand my own sleep schedule sometimes.” I replied. “Anyways, you know where Beedrill and Pidgeot are?”

They told us they'd be back. They just needed to do something? They didn't really tell us the details. Shaymin replied.

“Alright then... Anyways, you guys need a hand or something?” I asked as they continued preparing breakfast.

Sure. Just help us sort the berries into different bowls. Shaymin replied before handing me a bowl.

We started working on breakfast, each one of us doing something different. Shaymin would sort the berries, Bounsweet would cut them using Razor Leaf, I would place them into bowls and Chansey would take the bowls and place them on an old bench near the house. The others also started walking up during this.

Everyone had woken up by the time we finished setting it up so everyone except the missing Beedrill and Pidgeot had breakfast. It had been some time after breakfast when Beedrill and Pidgeot had returned from whatever the hell they did. Pidgeot had my shoulder bag hanging from her neck which I didn't even realize was missing.

“And where have you two been?” I ask them curiously.

They both tried telling me something but I obviously don't understand a thing they say until a voice to my side speaks up. They went to their old nest to get some things. The voice, which I realize is Celebi, helpfully translated for me.

I take a quick glance at Celebi before turning back to Beedrill and Pidgeot. “You went back to your nest for some of your belongings then?” I ask them to which they both nod. “So exactly what did you get?” I ask curiously.

They reply to me in the usual Pokémon speech. I give Celebi a quick glance which she notices before translating for me. That would require an explanation so you don't get confused apparently.

“An explanation?” I curiously ask the three of them.

You might wanna sit down because this'll take a while apparently. Celebi translated.

We went inside the cabin and made ourselves comfortable in the makeshift bedroom we made a few days ago.

“So, spill the beans. What is it?” I asked as I sat down on an old chair.

They speak in Pokémon language which I still don't understand (Maybe I should learn how to). “Uhhh... Translation, please?” I ask Celebi as I turn to her.

I know, I know. So, they said that they've been looking for you from the moment they got here, whatever that means. Celebi answered.

“You've been looking for me? Why?” I ask, confused.

More Pokémon speech. Alright, they said, and I quote: "We woke up here a few days ago and knew you were here so we tried to find you for answers." Celebi translated. Huh... What answers were you looking for though?

Those first few words really caught my attention as I looked at them curiously. “Wait, youu woke up here a few days ago? What do you remember before that?”

Not much, but the last thing we remember was being with you walking around and looking for what they think were gyms?

“Wait, so you two are technically my Pokémon?” I ask, shocked by the revelation.

Yep! You know? Considering that everyone from that HOME place ended up here, the others from... Where did you guys come from? More Pokémon speech. Ya! The GO place-thing! That's where I was caught too! Anyways, it's not much of a stretch to think that the others from that place would end here as well.

“That... I suppose it makes sense.” I say, deep in thought. “But that would mean...”

The others are here as well. Celebi said, finishing the sentence for me. "Now that I think about, this would explain that strange feeling that everyone here has been feeling..."

I turned to Celebi, confused. “Strange feeling?” I questioned.

It feels like a tug. Like, something is making me want to go in, say, that direction. Celebi said before pointing in a random direction. While everyone can easily ignore the feeling, when we focus on it, we can feel a tug pulling us into random directions. But... Celebi then turned towards Pidgeot and Beedrill. I can feel a tug on you two. You two, you can feel it too, can't you? They both nodded. That would mean that this tug pulling us in random directions is where the others are! The closer they are, the stronger the tug feels too. Although the others that have Poké Balls don't have a tug. So, if we we're to go in say, that direction- Celebi then pointed in another direction. -we'd find someone!

“So you technically know where the others are?”

Mhm! But I wouldn't recommend going out to find them, not yet at least. Like I said, the closer they are, the stronger the feeling. The tug feels so weak, all of us wouldn't be able to feel it unless we actually tried, meaning they're probably days, if not weeks away from us. Besides, they themselves have probably noticed the feeling by now so they'd be on their way.

“So, do I have to be worried about them being caught by someone else, or...?”

Pidgeot suddenly spoke up, saying something I, again, didn't understand until Celebi translated again. I don't think you'll have to worry about that. Open the bag they borrowed from you.

I approached Pidgeot and took the shoulder bag off her neck before opening it and being shocked by the contents inside of it. It was a Great Ball and Premier Ball. “Wait, these are yours?” I asked them as I held the two balls up.

They both nodded, Pidgeot pointing towards the Great Ball and Beedrill pointing towards the Premier Ball. I click the buttons on both the balls but it only opens. “Does this mean I have to recapture both of you?” They both nodded again. “Well then! Let's see how you do this!” I say before throwing the Great Ball towards Pidgeot, the Great Ball curving through the air before...

Bonk!

The Great Ball hits Pidgeot right on the head and opens, turning her into a red beam of energy before sucking her in. It lands on the floor, wiggling. It wiggled three times before...

Click!

I walk up to the Great Ball before opening it, releasing Pidgeot. I turn towards Beedrill, holding up the Premier Ball. “You ready?” She nods. I take a step back and throw the Premier Ball at her! It curves like the Great Ball before...

It missed just by a small amount.

“That... didn't go as planned.” I chuckled before walking towards the Premier Ball and picking it up. I walk up to Beedrill before pressing the button of the ball on her head. It sucks her in like Pidgeot, wiggling in my hand before...

Click!

I open the Premier Ball, letting Beedrill back out.

Welcome to the team, you two! Celebi said, congratulating them.

“We should probably get to making lunch. After that... I actually don't know. I'll think about it later.” I said. “You two make yourselves comfortable!” I told them before leaving the room. The rest of the day had passed like a blur. I went to bed later that night.

I opened my eyes, suprised to see where I was. Home. That was where I found myself now. I was back on Earth. Back in my home with my parents and little brother. I didn't know how. Maybe it was all a dream? It was like any normal day. I woke up, ate breakfast, took a shower and went to school. But as I walked to school, things felt off. It was only then I realized that everyone didn't have faces? That couldn't be right, right? Everything slowly faded away, being swallowed up the void until I stood there in the middle if the void, alone with my thoughts.

It was silent for what felt like forever until I felt something change. Before I could figure out what it was, I was suddenly at school, sitting on my desk. Like before, no one had faces. I blinked and suddenly, it was night and everyone was gone. I stood up and walked out of the classroom, walking down the empty hallways of my school.

I reached the exit of the building and tried to open the gate but found my hand gripping onto nothing. Everything was gone again, replaced by the void. It stayed like that for what felt like ages. I started thinking. Something tapped my shoulder and I turned around only to see-

I sat up on the floor as I woke up from the dream. I looked around and realized I was still in the cabin, surrounded by my Pokémon. “That was a strange dream...” I said out loud. “I definitely feel homesick now. I feel like I'm missing so much of what's going on Earth. And I definitely miss family and friends, no doubting that.” I told myself as I stared at the somewhat broken window, looking out into the night sky. I looked down at floor, lost in thought.

Notes:

No new Pokémon so no list for now.

So, I usually ask you guys for feedback but I really need some now! Like, I don't even know what region to have the story take place in yet. It's between Kalos or Alola tbh. I was hoping you guys could get decide on which!

Also, from this point on, I'm essentially writing chapters without knowing what to do. I have some plot details already but not much so it might take awhile for the next chapter.

That'll be it for this chapter since it's very late and I have a trip tomorrow! Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! Again, comment any ideas you have for the story! I might incorporate it in some way!

Chapter 5: A Battle in the Forest

Chapter Text

Day 6 was certainly interesting...

Past noon was nothing unusual (A week ago this'd sound bonkers) but we did have two bombshells dropped on us:

A. Beedrill and Pidgeot were actually Pokémon from GO.

B. The others are also here but are very far away.

I've been making plans on heading out eventually to hopefully find the others. We just need a plan first.

Edit: I woke up at 2:37 AM from a nightmare. Long story short, I am definitely homesick. Not like I could do much about it tho.

It had been a week since I was somehow stranded in another world. How time flies, eh? It was the middle of noon and we were preparing to eventually head out again. We would probably come back to this cabin one day, but being on the move might make finding the others easier. Something also just tells me to not stay somewhere near my arrival point, though I don't know what it is or why I feel it. I know I'm forgetting something about Ultra Wormholes but my memories are foggy about it.

I relayed the information Beedrill and Pidgeot gave to me to the others so everyone knows about the others. The others agreed that actively looking for them would be the best way to find them. Who knows? We might even find a town or something.

After we packed up some of the more important things we had (And the small wooden box I found two days ago), I returned mostly everyone into their Poké Balls except for Rotom who ended up possessing my phone again and Beedrill since it's probably a good idea to have at least one Pokémon out when you're walking through an unknown forest with Pokémon that could kill you in less than a minute. And if someone does see us, they'll just see a normal guy with their Pokémon. Hopefully. Oh, and I hid her necklace in my bag since that marble may or may not draw attention if it WAS something important.

Before we left, I had asked Shaymin in which direction the nearest tug was pulling, and she had pointed to the east, so we went east. We wandered through the forest for about an hour before hearing what sounded like water splashing in the distance. We decided to follow the sound in case it lead to anywhere interesting. Peeking out from behind a tree, lo and behold, there was a Pokémon battle, though the suprising part was the Pokémon that were battling; a Mudkip and a Rowlet! Starters are quite hard to come by normally. But the most suprising part?

“Mudpie! Use Water Gun!” Someone else was here. I looked a bit more to the left and I was right. They were black and looked quite tomboyish with black curly hair. They wore a white sweatshirt under their orange jacket, jean shorts, black shoes, a black hat with a red visor and button and also had a white Poké Ball symbol with red outlines on the front and they had a red hiking bag on their back.

I continued watching the battle against the presumedly wild Rowlet out of pure curiousity. This was the first time I've ever seen another Trainer have a Pokémon battle in real life! Maybe I could-

“Now use Tackle!” I was pulled out of my thoughts as I heard them shout another attack for Mudkip to use. Mudkip ran towards the Rowlet and used Tackle. The Rowlet used Peck mid-tackle, causing Mudkip to flinch a bit, allowing Rowlet to slap the Mudkip away using it's wings. The Mudkip got back up near immediately after hitting the ground and looked back towards their trainer, most likely awaiting another command.

“Now use Rock Throw!” The Mudkip took the order and obeyed, four white orbs appearing behind them. The orb then dissolved into multiple sparkles that turned into rocks with a white glow around them and fired them at the Rowlet. The Rowlet successfully dodged two out of the four, being hit by the last two with the last rock knocking it out of the air, causing it faint.

The trainer simply smirked before throwing a Poké Ball at the fainted Rowlet.

Bonk!

The Poké Ball hits the fainted Rowlet, turning them into a red beam of energy before sucking them in. It lands on the floor, wiggling three times before...

Click!

The trainer walked towards the Poké Ball, picking it up and attaching it to their belt. They started talking to their Mudkip though I really couldn't hear them. I tried to eavesdrop but accidentally trip over one of the roots on the tree and faceplant directly onto the grass. “Ow...” I mumbled into the grass.

“Uhh...” I heard the other trainer say.

Suddenly, I was reminded that I may or may not have been eavesdropping on them. “Putang ina...” I mumbled into the grass. Guess I'm gonna be forced to interact with a human for the first time since arriving here. Fun! ‘They probably didn't know I was eavesdropping so I could just lie and say I was just taking a walk or something...’

“Who the FUCK are you and what are you doing here?” The trainer asked as I stood back up.

“To answer your first question, the name's Matt, and to answer your second question, I was taking a stroll, heard a battle, got curious and followed the sound.” I answer before asking my own questions. “Now, who are YOU and WHAT are you doing this deep into the forest?”

The trainer stares at me for a second before replying. "Firstly, I do not trust you with my name. Second, I'm here to catch Pokémon, duh?" The trainer replies.

“Well that just isn't fair. You get MY name but I don't get yours?” I say.

“Well life ain't fair either, which seems fair to me.” They reply.

“Fair point.” I reply back.

“No shit.” The trainer replies before asking the question I wanted to ask when I saw the battle against the Rowlet. “Hey, wanna have a battle? Me and Mudpie against you and your Beedrill!”

“Heh, I don't see why not!” I smirk. “This clearing seems like the perfect place for a battle. You go to the edge of the clearing behind you and I'll go to the edge behind me, alright?” I ask. The trainer simply shrugs and we both walk to our respective corners of the clearing. “You ready for our first battle, girl?” I asked Beedrill, who nods enthusiastically. “Alright then.” I turn towards the trainer on the other side of the clearing. “You ready?”

“I'm always ready!” The trainer enthusiastically replies before looking at their Mudkip (Or Mudpie as they called them) and nodding. Mudpie placed themselves in front of their trainer before taking a stance. Mud!

Seeing this, Beedrill also took a stance in front of me. Bee!

Faller Matt OXXXXX

VS.

Pokémon Trainer ???? OXXXXX

“Water Gun!” The trainer orders. Mudpie obeys and opened their mouth. Mud... Kip! Suddenly, they blasted water out of their mouth.

Seeing the oncoming attack, I immediately remembered Beedrill using Protect back in Day 5. “Beedrill, Protect!” Bee! Suddenly, a turquoise sphere surrounds Beedrill, protecting her from the Water Gun.

“Now, Return!” Beedrill looks back at me, seemingly confused. I realize that the word had two meanings and clarified. “I meant the move!” Beedrill nods and faintly glows white before charging at Mudpie.

“Oh hell no! Mudpie, Rock Throw!” Suddenly, four white orbs appeared behind Mudpie. The orb then dissolved into multiple sparkles that turned into rocks with a white glow around them. The rocks suddenly flew towards Beedrill.

Shit! Not enough time to set up Protect! That means...’ “Beedrill! Aerial Ace to evade!” The faint white glow around Beedrill suddenly disappears and is replaced by a white streak behind her as she uses Aerial Ace to quickly dodge out of the way, three rocks barely missing but one managing to hit her side. ‘Well that could've gone better.’ “Use Aerial Ace on Mudpie!”

Beedrill flies towards Mudpie at high speed, a white streak behind her as she holds out both her stingers. Mudpie isn't able to block the attack and you can't really dodge Aerial Ace without the assistance of certain moves and ends up being caught by both stingers. Kip!

The trainer simply smirks before countering. “Try a Mud-Slap to the face!”

Mud! Mudpie opened their mouth and fired a glob of mud out of their mouth. The mud quickly hits Beedrill right in the face, causing her to be blinded and let go of Mudpie, Mudpie landing on the ground. Beedrill shakes her head to get the mud off her face.

“Now, Water Gun!” The trainer ordered. Mudpie fires a stream of water from their mouth and right at Beedrill, causing her to be pushed back a bit but also getting rid of the mud covering her face. “Eat some rocks! Rock Throw!”

I grit my teeth before giving my next command. “Protect!”

A turquoise sphere surrounds Beedrill again as the rocks bounce off of the sphere. ‘I have an idea!’ “Try to get in close again with Aerial Ace!” A white streak appears behind Beedrill as she flies towards Mudpie like last time, her stingers out.

The trainer balls their hand into a fist before giving a command. “Rock Smash!”

Mudpie's hands glows orange as they punch both of Beedrill's stingers, causing them both to come a to standstill.

“Got you! Now, Poison Jab!” Beedrill's stingers glows purple. She quickly pulls one of her stingers away from the standstill before jabbing Mudpie with one of the stingers.

Kip! Mudpie is sent flying back by the force of the jab and lands on the ground sideways before getting back up. It doesn't appear to be poisoned which I'm not really sure how to feel about.

“Tackle!” The trainer orders Mudpie.

Mudpie charges at Beedrill and tackles her into the ground.

“Now, Mud-Slap!”

Mudpie opens their mouth and fires another glob of mud at Beedrill's face, blinding her again.

I think of a way to get Mudpie off Beedrill before getting an idea. “X-Scissor to get Mudpie off you!”

Despite being blinded, Beedrill obeys and spreads both her stingers, both glowing a light green, before slashing in an "X" formation, leaving behind a light green trail from each of her stingers. Mud! The attack sends Mudpie flying right above. Beedrill then shakes her head, getting the mud on her face off her.

Suddenly, the trainer smirks. “Now, Rock Throw!”

Mud... Like before, four white orbs appear behind Mudpie before they turn into rocks. Kip! The rocks fly downwards towards Beedrill. Add in the fact their being pulled down by gravity, and the rocks go faster than usual. The rocks rain down on Beedrill, all four hitting her and erupting into smoke. Mudpie lands some distance away from the smoke.

When the smoke finally clears, a small crater is visible and in the center layed an unconscious Beedrill.

Faller Matt: XXXXXX

VS.

Pokémon Trainer ????: OXXXXX

THIS BATTLES WINNER IS: Pokémon Trainer ????!

Mudpie runs back to their trainer and jumps into their arms. They then proceed to head bump. “Good job, buddy!” The trainer tells Mudpie.

Mud! Mudpie replied happily.

I give a small shrug and smile as I return Beedrill to her Premier Ball. ‘Oh well. Not like I would've won my first battle. That'd be stupid!’ I thought to myself. I look at the trainer and Mudpie who are still head bumping before calling out to them. “Good battle you two!”

“Heh, wasn't too hard.” The trainer replied before walking up to me and holding out a fist. “It's a fist bump, bozo.”

“Oh.” I reply as I stare at the fist. I then bump my own fist into it.

“Anyways, the names Sian Taylor.” The trainer, Sian, said. “Also, I'm a girl. Call me a boy and we will kill you.”

I hold back the urge to let out a small chuckle at the last sentence. “Heh, I'll keep that in mind. Nice to meet you, Sian. I know I've already said this before but the names Matt.” I reply before asking a question I've been dying to ask. “Anyways, you know where the nearest human settlement is?”

“You don't know? Geez, what are you? A human disguised Pokémon?” The trainer asks before answering. “Anyways, the nearest "human settlement", your words not mine, is Aspertia City. Though I should note we're kind of outside the region's territory right now. Took me two business days to get here.”

“Uhh no I'm not a Pokémon. Also, what regions territory are we outside of right now?” I ask Sian.

Sian looks at me weirdly for a second before answering. “Unova.”

Summary:

Matt and Sian start their route to Aspertia City. Mother nature, however, has other plans for them.

Notes:

Yooooo sorry for not posting a chapter last month! Ended up getting burned out of not just writing, but Ao3 as a whole. When I got back about a week ago, I had to brainstorm the dialogue in this chapter and I'm pretty happy with it! Again, sorry for my long absence but if you read the tags, this was to be expected lmao.

Also, 39 Kudos and 1,427 Hits! Yahoo!

2025-08-20 Update: All dialogues or thoughts that used the following symbols: ", ', have been changed to instead use the following symbols: “, ”, ‘, ’. Some sentences were also changed to have much better wording and some grammar and spelling mistakes were corrected.

Chapter Text

It was nearly evening and here I was, walking through a forest on the outside of the Unova region with a stranger I met not 2-3 hours ago. “So it'll take us two business days to get to Aspertia?” I asked Sian.

“Mhm.” Sian replied. “Not a problem for me, of course. I planned for the walk home! The only predicament is you suddenly joining me.”

“Hey, gimme a break!” I argued. “I've been lost out here for a week and I just wanna get back to civilization!”

“What the hell were you even doing this far out, anyways?” Sian asked.

I turn away for a moment to think of what to say. ‘What do I say?! I can't just go "I fell through a wormhole and ended here from a different dimension"! That's fucking stupid!’ “Uh... I got lost?”

Sian looked at me for a second or two, her eyes suspiciously narrowed before closing them and shrugging. “As I expected.”

“What's that supposed to mean?!” I shouted, a bit offended.

“Of course you'd be lost. The nearest city is two business days away. Plus, you asked where the nearest one is and asked to come with me to Aspertia. No shit you'd be lost!” Sian replied with a bit of sass in her voice.

I just decided to ignore that and looked to the side, a bit annoyed. I didn't have a Pokémon out right now except Rotom who was STILL possessing my phone since I'm not really sure how Sian, who I have not known for more than 3 hours at most, would react to me having multiple shinies and three mythicals. Besides, I trust Rotom to protect me and keep watch for anything nearby that might cause us trouble.

Suddenly, the sun gets blocked by something. I look up and notice a bunch of storm clouds in the sky. “Oh how great. Just when I decide to leave my shelter, there's rain!”

I look over to Sian who seems to seems to have just remembered something judging by how she looks up at the clouds and facepalms. “Fucking hell, I forgot there was a storm that was told to last for around an hour this Thursday...”

So it's a Thursday? Makes sense. I fell through the Ultra Wormhole on a Friday and it's Day 7.’

I take a quick glance around us in case there's shelter nearby. “Nothing around us but trees and that cabin I was staying at for nearly a week is hours away from us now. We better get to looking for nearby shelter!” I wasn't sure if Pidgeot could carry me and Sian together. Even then, who knows if we'd be fast enough to outfly the storm.

We ran through the trees before spotting a small grotto in a nearby cliff face. ‘Wait a fucking minute, this grotto looks familiar...’

We entered the small grotto before looking around. It looked like a relatively normal grotto except for one thing: an extinguished campfire layed on the cavern floor. I immediately realized where we were the moment I saw the extinguished campfire. “Fucking hell, back here again?”

Sian looks at me questioningly. “You been here before?”

“Yep. First place I spent the night in after getting lost here.” I answered before suddenly, the sound of thunder crackling through sky rang as the rainstorm finally began. “Looks like we'll be stuck here for awhile.” I said, shrugging before sitting down on the cavern floor, my back leaning against the cavern wall.

Sian does the same thing on the wall infront of me, her eyes never leaving me. “Well then, why don't we have an exchange of questions and answers to pass the time?”

I think about the offer for a second before shrugging. “I guess we have nothing better to do.”

Sian pauses for a second before asking the first question. “So, where do you live?”

“Hmm... The answer to that's... complicated.” I reply. “It's far from here, a different continent at LEAST.”

Sian simply nods. “Anyways, so you got any other Pokémon other than Mudpie and Rowlet?” I asked.

“Nope. Only the two of them.” Sian replied. “Now that I think about it, I haven't actually interacted with Rowlet since I caught them earlier. I should fix that!” She suddenly stands up and tosses two Poke Balls into the air, releasing both Mudpie and Rowlet.

Mud!

Row!

As Sian released all her Pokémon, I decided to release a few of mine. None of the shinies or mythicals obviously (Still didn't know how to explain them to her honestly). “Well then, I should release my Pokémon!”

I tossed three Poké Balls into the air, all of them releasing my non-shiny and mythical Pokémon. At the exact the moment they released, Rotom suddenly popped out of my phone.

Bee!

Pidge!

Pi!

Ro!

My and Sian's Pokémon decided to have a conversation as Sian walked up to me. “Where the fuck did you get a Rotom?”

“I don't really know. They just came up to me and joined me.” Technically, it isn't a lie. Beedrill and Pidgeot showed up and joined me some time after I arrived to this world and Pichu and Rotom are Gift Pokémon.

Sian stared at me blankly for a bit. “Oh okay, that sounds believable.” She said, shrugging it off.

I can't tell if she's being serious and thinks that sounds believable to any extent or is being sarcastic and just deciding to not question it.’

“So, sudden question...” I say, about to change topics. “But what's your occupation? Like, are you a trainer or something?”

“Well, not legally or officially. I still haven't gotten my Trainer ID.” Sian stated.

“And exactly how do you get a Trainer ID?” I asked.

“Well, you need to get through at least junior high to get an ID, though I've heard in other regions you only need to get through elementary and be 10 years old.” Sian answered. “Anyways, once you do graduate, you get to choose to either go to senior high physically or do modular classes as you go on your journey. You'd have to send scans of your completed works every month to prove you're still learning. If you don't get passing grades for one of the semesters, you're Trainer ID will be revoked and you'll be forced to go to physical senior high.”

I stare at her in horror before mumbling to myself. “So being sent to another dimension doesn't let me escape school. Fantastic.”

“Hm? What was that?” Sian asked, not hearing what I said.

“Nothing. Just me cursing the fact that going on a Pokémon journey doesn't stop me from going to school.” I replied, a bit of venom in my voice.

Sian snickered at that little joke I made. “Sounds a lot like me, pal!”

We ended up catching as the storm continued before eventually, Sian's attention went to Rowlet and they had some introductions. The storm ended up lasting longer than expected, and by the time it stopped, the sun had already set. We decided to rest here for the night and continue tomorrow morning.

It was nearly midnight now, everyone having fallen asleep in the grotto. I sneaked outside the grotto as to not disturb Sian and her Pokémon, who had already fallen asleep. The Pokémon I had already let out followed me outside where I let the rest of the others out. “Alrighty everyone! I've got good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?”

Everyone whispered amongst each other before Shaymin spoke up. The good news, please.

“Well, I found someone who can take us to the nearest city!” I cheerfully said before giving them a thoughtful look and continuing. “Now as for the bad news, I don't really have something to prove my identification. Like, all my legal documents are in another dimension and I highly doubt they'd accept them even if I brought them cuz I highly doubt my birthplace is a place that exists here.”

So... plan? Celebi said. Like, what's the plan? Assuming you have one, that is?

“Well, first, we get to Aspertia which is the city we're going to. Second, I find a building where they do the legal document stuff. Third, I lie about my origin. I have no idea if that'll work considering they may have a mind reading psychic-type there but if it does, hopefully I can get legal documents in this world via lying. And whilst I don't like lying, I highly doubt they'd believe me if I said I fell from the sky because of a wormhole, and if they did believe me, I'd rather not be spied on by the government. If you guys have any other ideas I could add in, feel free to speak up!”

We ended up discussing the plan for a bit, refining some parts and discussing the possibility of a mind reading psychic-type. Eventually, we had a much more complete plan. I ended returning everyone who Sian hadn't met (And they all agreed returning was for the best anyways) and I headed back inside the grotto with the Pokémon that Sian already knew of. I used my bag as a pillow once again and my Pokémon slept in a large group. I glanced at my phone for a second, thinking about home before putting my phone bag inside the bag and laying on the cavern floor, my eyes slowly closing.

Notes:

I am now trying to figure out how to give Matt an identification thingy in this world cuz my guy does not have the legal documents to prove he exists.

Anyways, next chapter will come out. Eventually. Maybe. Ya I'm done making promises.

Chapter 7: The City that reaches for the Sky

Summary:

Matt and Sian finally make to Aspertia City! Architecture in the Pokémon World sure is different from the one on Earth. Now then, how do you do legal documents...

Notes:

I'M NOT DEAD! Sorry about the long absence (Though in terms of Ao3 updates, this is a pretty short timespan). I've been busy with school then got sick in the first half of Christmas break, then writer's block. It sucks, lemme tell ya. Also, group projects suck. They suck even more when your groupmates aren't cooperating.

Anyways, 12,052 hits and 48 kudos!

2025-08-20 Update: Additional dialogue added. All dialogues or thoughts that used the following symbols: ", ', have been changed to instead use the following symbols: “, ”, ‘, ’. Some sentences were also changed to have much better wording and some grammar and spelling mistakes were corrected.

2025-10-30 Update: Some dialogue has been changed. Changed apartment room numbered since I actually know how the room numbers work now.

Chapter Text

Day 7 was certainly interesting, exciting even.

Everyone had agreed that leaving the cabin to actively look for the others. We left the cabin around noon, me returning everyone except Rotom courtesy of possessing my phone AGAIN and Beedrill since having at least one Pokémon out was a good idea.

Eventually, we stumbled across a wild Rowlet battling a Mudkip, who was under the ownership of the trainer behind them. They beat the Rowlet and the trainer caught it. I was about to leave to continue my search for the others and a human settlement but it seemed like mother nature had other plans, me tripping on a tree root and faceplanting directly into the grass. Of course, this caught the trainers attention.

After some introductions (From me, since the trainer did not trust me with their name), they challenged me to a battle, Beedrill VS. their Mudkip, or Mudpie as they called them. We lost. The trainer then introduced themselves as Sian Taylor, and also said they were female and that if I got her gender wrong, she'd kill me. I couldn't tell if she was joking or not...

I asked Sian for the nearest human settlement and she said that a place named Aspertia City was about two business days away. She also said that we were actually outside the territory of any region and that Aspertia City was in the Unova region. We walked for about 2-3 hours before the (beautiful!) sky was blocked out by storm clouds. We quickly went looking for shelter before stumbling across a familiar looking grotto. Turns out, it was a grotto from Day 1!

We then talked about how one obtains a trainer license. Turns out, you need to get through at least junior high to get an ID, though in some other regions, it only requires getting through elementary and being 10 years old or above. Once you do graduate, you get to choose to either go to senior high physically or do modular classes as you go on your journey. You'd have to send scans of your completed works every month to prove you're still learning. If you don't get passing grades for one of the semesters, you're Trainer ID will be revoked and you'll be forced to go to physical senior high.

Never in my life have I felt fear comparable to what I felt in that moment.

Once Sian and her Pokémon had fallen asleep, me and my Pokémon that were out if their balls went outside. I released the others and we started discussing legal documents. To summarize the plan, first, we get to Aspertia which is the city we're going to. Second, I find a building where they do the legal document stuff. Third, I lie about my origin. I have no idea if that'll work considering they may have a mind reading psychic-type there but if it does, hopefully I can get legal documents in this world via lying. Just in case there is a mind reading psychic-type, I'll release Celebi, Bronzor and Elgyem outside the legal documents building and will have them use their psychic abilities to hopefully throw off the mind reader if there is one. Whilst I don't like lying, I highly doubt they'd believe me if I said I fell from the sky because of a wormhole. Anyways, after we finished discussing the plan, I returned the others who weren't out earlier back into their balls and I went back to the grotto and went to sleep.

It was some time after nine o'clock. Me and Sian had left the grotto after some breakfast and we were heading towards Aspertia. All our Pokémon were back inside their Poké Balls (Yes, I somehow managed to convince Rotom to go into their ball instead of my phone for once) and the the walk was ok. We saw some Pokémon here and there and I could tell we were probably inside Unova by now. Pidoves flew across the sky, Sewaddles climbed nearby trees, Deerling in their spring form ran across the nearby fields, and many other Pokémon were doing their own thing. It was quite the spectacle, I'll tell you that much.

“...and then we flew back to that dingy old cabin, the end. I don't actually know what happened to the Talonflame and it's flock, we just kinda left em' there unconscious.” I told Sian. I had been telling her about that time I was chased by a Talonflame and it's flock and how Beedrill and Pidgeot saved my ass.

“Well that's one hell of a story!” Sian replied. “Though I shouldn't be suprised. Apparently, that flock is quite infamous for being very aggressive with their territory to anyone that passes by.”

I grimace at the information. “Geez, territorial much?”

Sian simply shrugs and we continue walking through the slowly-getting-less-dense forest. Eventually though, I spotted something in the distance.

“Hey, what's that?” I ask Sian, my arm pointing at the thing.

Sian stared at the thing I was pointing at for a few seconds before she let out a sigh of relief. “Oh finally, we're nearly there. Just about 10 more minutes of walking and we should be in the city.”

I also let out a sigh of relief as I bent down. “Oh finally, my legs felt like they were about to crumble at any point.” I looked back up only to see Sian was no longer next to me. I looked in front of me and saw her sprint walking towards the city. “H-hey! Wait up!” I shouted as I ran after her despite my exhaustion.

After about four minutes of me chasing Sian, we finally made it to inside Aspertia City. Why did she run off? Because apparently, running would get us to the city faster. To be fair, it took us only about half the time it would if we had walked, though I could have gotten here faster with the help of one of my Pokémon, but I forgot that was an option and ran instead. Can you blame me? I've only been in this world for a week! It takes time to get used to the fact I have flying to the city as a realistic option.

The city was pretty big, had plenty of buildings and houses and was more than a Wailord's length unlike the games; it actually looked more like it's anime counterpart.

Right at the entrance to the city, there was a giant sign with the city name and slogan. It read:

Aspertia City

"A city that reaches for the sky."

Mikey would love this place for sure.

Right next to the entrance was a map of the city. How convenient!

“So like, you got anywhere to stay or what?” Sian asked me. “From what you told me yesterday, it sounds like you're technically homeless.”

“I guess that's technically true...” I replied. “My home is at least continent or few away.”

“Hmm... I guess you could crash at my place, even if only for a few hours at least.” Sian replied.

“You sure?” I asked uncertainly. “I mean, not being ungrateful here, mind you. I'm just making sure you're fine with bringing a complete stranger to your home?”

“Well, I did beat your ass yesterday in a battle!” She cheekily replied. “Just think about what you're doing before doing it.”

I decide to not look a gift horse in the mouth (or would it be "Ponyta" here?) and just accept her offer, ignoring her cheeky reply.

She led me to what looked to be an apartment complex. From what I could see, they were 10 stories tall.

“Follow me,” Sian told me. “this place is big. You'd get lost easily.”

“How big exactly?” I asked.

“10 units per floor.” Sian answered. “And I don't mean per building, I mean 10 units per floor across the whole complex.”

I stared at the complex for a bit longer. “So each unit is bigger than my house, got it.”

“Damn. Small house?” Sian asked.

“You can barely fit five people in there.” I replied.

Sian simply nods and heads into the complex, me following close behind. We entered the elevator (Yes, the apartment complex had an elevator.) and headed up to the 6th floor.

“So this place has 12 floors?” I said as I looked at the amount of buttons on the panel.

“No, not really.” Sian replied. “B1F would be the underground parking lot, GF to 10F would be the actual apartment, although GF only has 16 rooms instead if the usual 20 since one of the buildings is used for the entrance, and RF is the rooftop.”

It was at that point the elevator dinged indicating we had arrived at our designated floor. “Ya know, this place feels more like a hotel at this point.” I told her as we walked out of the elevator.

“Ya, we get those a lot from newcomers.” She replied. “But hey, it's a good place to live in, and rent isn't too expensive.”

“So, do you live with anyone?” I decided to ask. “Cuz you did mention the rent and I would only really expect a comment like that from the person that pays for it.”

“Nope.” Sian replied. “I have no siblings, no aunts or uncles, and my parents and grandparents are six feet under right now.”

An “Ah” escaped from my mouth as I took in the information. “Wait, how DO you pay rent? You got a side job? I mean, it sounds you still go to school, junior high at that.”

“Ya, I got a side job at the local cafe.” Sian answered. “They got good food and drinks. You should try some time.”

“I will once I got the money to do so.” I replied, my current financial state being... less than desirable. ‘The current ₱1,000 in my bag was kinda fucking useless unless they accepted random ass currency, which I doubt. Or would it? There could be a currency similar enough from a different region I've never heard of. Perhaps-’

“We're here.” Sian said, snapping me out of my thoughts. “Room 612.” She said as she opened the door. She glanced back at me as she went through the door. “Come in. Though, leave your shoes at the rack next to the front door.”

I went it after her, making sure to take my shoes off and leaving it at the small rack next to the door.

“Go sit on the couch or whatever.” Sian told me. “I'll be right back.” She said as she walked into a separate room, the door clicking the moment it closed meaning it was locked. I sat on the couch as told and surveyed the room. For an apartment unit, it was pretty big, though that might've had something to do with the fact they have to take the size of Pokémon into account.

After some few minutes, Sian came before. She was wearing a monotone black and white clothes. We had a short chat wherein I learned I few interesting things. Firstly, she lived alone. Her grandparents were dead before she was born, her dad left her at an early age, and then her mom died when she was 11. Apparently, in the Pokémon world, being 10 or older qualifies you to live on your own. Yeah, this place is a bit fucked up. Second, I learned where to do legal papers! Apparently, the city had it's own building for legal documents. I was never old enough to have to worry about these back home, so it could also be like this on Earth, but who knows? (Not me for sure.)

After taking an actual shower in Sian's bathroom (With her permission), I left for the city's legal office. It was pretty near the center of the city which was about a five minute walk. Eventually, I arrived.

Before heading inside, I went around the building and found a small alleyway. After making sure no one had been following me, that there were no nearby doors or that there weren't any windows that someone could look through, I released my three psychic-types.

“So, you remember the plan?”

Yes, sir!

Bronz!

Elgy...

“Alright. Remember to stay out of sight and be quiet. Now, let's take our first steps into becoming a trainer!”

With that, I left the three to their own devices. I left the alley and headed inside the building. It was smaller than I thought to be honest, though that might have something to do with the amount of people here. The queue was pretty damn long. Guess this'll take a while.

After a one and a half hour wait, and a five hour process of some other bullshit, I finally had an identity! I won't go into detail on what I did/said, but the backstory I came up with was me growing up in a place outside any region (Or what the official Pokémon League considered a region) and that I had to leave my old home due to... complications. Since I grew up outside any region, I had no birth certificate or identification.

And as for the whole mind reading psychic-types, they did exist, but not here. Apparently, due to Aspertia being a somewhat new city in Unova (Only being about a decade old and only being finished a year or two ago), they didn't currently have one. Well, kinda. They had a Duosion. Whilst a Reuniclus might've given us some trouble, the Duosion wasn't too bad. According to my psychic powered friends, it wasn't even trying! Guess when no one really lies when there's mind reading psychic-types, why even try? But hey, all that matters is that I get myself an identity in this world.

By the time I got out of the legal office, it was already past evening, the night sky being visible in the sky. I went back out to the alley next to the building to meet back up with the others. “I'm back!” I whisper-yelled.

I heard a slight, quiet "WHOOSH" sound behind me. Turning around, I saw Celebi, Bronzor, and Elgyem just hovering in the air.

Welcome back, boss! Celebi said, greeting me. How'd it go? The Psychic-Type didn't give you any problems? She asked. Because they really didn't feel like they were trying from what we felt from out here.

“Ya I don't really think they were trying. I said some very obvious lies, and they didn't even do so much as stir.” I replied.

That's good! Also, I ended up being visited by my past self! Specifically, me from when we first got here.Celebi said. Remember when I left for about two seconds through a Passage of Time? Ya, I ended up here.

“I see. Also, that was a Passage of Time? That's interesting. I always just thought you'd just pop in and out of thin air, but whatever. C'mon, let's head back to Sian's apartment now.” I said before returning all three of them back into their balls.

See, right before I left, she told me I could stay with her for a while, with me either doing things around the unit for her or paying her rent, which, fair game honestly. I was apparently pretty deep in thought that I had walked there without me realizing. The door had been locked though she had given me a key to both the front door and a spare bedroom she never used.

After some last minute things, I climbed onto the bed and dozed off to dreamland.

Notes:

Not really anything to say here, though this chapter only took about a week to actually do. Ya I've also been a bit lazy and writer's block. Though once I finally locked in, dialogue kinda wrote itself. Huh, it was pretty easy now that I think about it... Hope this doesn't kick me in the ass eventually haha! (Oh it absolutely will.)
