Work Text:
Lucy doesn't know how they found her. But it doesn't surprise her that they did. The smile on Betty's face is sugary sweet, but it was fake and they both knew it. “It is good to see you again Lucy.”
Her father seemed to have aged since she last saw him or maybe she was seeing truly for the first time. He doesn't smile or speak.
Cooper was somewhere here, in this place. Lucy knew that. She just needed to find him and they could leave. Run and run far.
Lucy still didn't know much about him, not the way she knew these people. She had loved them once, all of them in some way or other.
Everyone always said it was the better devil you know, than the devil you don't. But Lucy was beginning to learn that wasn't true.
