This was not the first time Rajura had found himself in this type of situation. But Kami willing, he thought, he’d live through to not find himself here again.
The webbing he had found himself caught in was far stronger than he’d thought to give credit for, though the reasons were quite apparent; the culprit behind the recent disappearances was, in fact, a jorogumo, her desiccated victims strung up around him. The issue, however, was twofold; first, that there was not one of the creatures, but a nest of them; he had counted a dozen as he had been dragged in, and strongly suspected from the number of vanished livestock that there was at least a dozen more. The second, and far more pressing issue, was what Gen’s animalistic side had endowed him knowledge of – knowledge that he currently wished he did not have.
The entire nest was in its mating phase. And they regarded him with eyes of a very different kind of hunger…
Very well… He scowled to himself as he carefully went over his options, watching as one of them began to approach, the mandibles that made up her lower jaw clicking with excitement.
