Work Text:

Hirano was well aware of how serious Kagiura's feelings were towards him, but he never thought that their daily touching routine wasn't nearly enough for him. In fact, it just kept hurting him more because he needed to hold back. Hirano realized that just 'thinking' wasn't enough if he wanted to understand Kagiura's feelings and how he wanted them to become lovers.

That was what he intended to tell Kagiura, but one thing led to another, and he ended up being pushed to the wall, with his taller kouhai conveying that touching for 10 seconds wasn't enough for him; he desired much more.

And there was a memory that wouldn't fade from his mind...

The flashback of Kagiura being a second away from kissing him.

Every time that thought crossed his mind, he was swarmed by unrecognisable feelings and wouldn't be able to concentrate for the rest of the day. There were times when he kept got distracting thoughts because of Kagiura, but this one was without a doubt different. The impact was too big for him.

While he tried to maintain a natural composure, Kagiura wasn't being much of a help. Jumpy around him, averted Hirano's eyes, and got flustered with the littlest move Hirano made towards him. Even just with Hirano sitting beside him when they were having study sessions.

It was already hard for him with his own thoughts and he wanted things to go back to how it was before. Meanwhile he thought that maybe it was a little bit unfair, but whatever was happening was definitely troublesome for both of them.

It needed to end.

---

Right now, they were doing their study session on the table in the middle of the room, with Kagiura jolting with everything Hirano did. Hirano was on the verge of just nagging him, but he knew it wouldn't go anywhere.

He unconsciously let out a sigh which made Kagiura's body stiffened, he stole a glance, wondering is he did bad at the work he's doing or if he did something to upset Hirano.

"Kagi-kun," Hirano called.

"Y-yes?" he answered with a subtle rise in pitch.

'There he goes again.'

As he was about to continue, Kagiura interrupted him. "I think I'm going to the vending machine!" he said as he stood up.

Hirano clicked his tongue and quickly grabbed Kagiura's wrist. "No, you are not!"

"B-but I'm thirsty!" he looked away as he whined, fakely.

Hirano stood up. "Can you stop acting like this? I'm here trying to keep things normal and you aren't helping at all!"

Scratch that, he nagged Kagiura.

Hirano grasp on his wrist tighten, "I know what happened that day was kinda bad and I'm sorry for not saying it clearly."

He paused for a bit before continuing, "..But I don't like you avoiding me like this."

Kagiura could feel his face burning up at Hirano's words that sounded like he wanted to always stay close to him. (He didn't say that)

"H-how could I?! ...After I did such things to you," Kagiura answered, regret lingered in her voice and eyes.

"And the fact that you didn't get weirded out and told me that you'll still think about my feelings...," he paused.

Kagiura shifted his glance, straight to Hirano's eyes, which send shiver down his spine. His usual sparkling eyes glistened with unspoken emotions that kept him captivated.

"Even when I tried to focus, I just can't bring myself to. Do you know how many basketball has hit my face this past few days?! It probably meant nothing to you and you don't-"

"There you go again, jumping into conclusion on your own!" Hirano shouted.

"You think that incident only affects you? You keep getting distracted in basketball, while I can't even focus in my class this whole day!"

Kagiura retreated when Hirano stepped closer as he spoke, until his back was met with the cool touch of their room's wall. As the emotion tightened in is chest, Hirano couldn't stop his mouth, and he found himself rambling out.

"Every little seconds when I spaced out, the image of you just...," Hirano stopped himself.

"Are you.. saying that you kept on thinking about me?" Kagiura asked in a low voice.

"That's what I'm trying to say, damn it!"

Kagiura's heartbeat thundered to the point he felt like he could hear it in his ears.

"Hirano-san, you really are...," he mumbled.

"How can you be so unfair. Stop saying stuff that made me want to kiss you."

Hirano let go of Kagiura' wrist and went to grab his collar. "Then do it already!"

"Eh?"

"Huh?"

The atmosphere shifted abruptly. Both of their heartbeat echoed like a thunder in their room. Hirano tried to regain his composure, but the more he tried, the hotter his face became when he realized how much he had said.

"Forget-"

"No take backs!" Kagiura quickly said before Hirano could finish his sentence.

He placed his hand on top of Hirano's hand that was resting on his collar. "Please."

Hirano was stunned, silently cursing at his mouth that won't just shut up when it's about Kagiura. Wouldn't refusing make things even worse than how it was right now? But, it's not like Hirano was feeling like he was forced. He realized the feeling that he felt whenever that incident crossed his mind was not embarrassment. It was regret. Not a bad way regret, but as in he wanted it to happen. He desired for it too.

"10 seconds," Hirano murmured.

"15 seconds!" Kagiura added.

"Ugh, fine," Hirano shrugged, knowing he couldn't win against persistent Kagiura.

"And with a timer!" he continued.

Kagiura chuckled and nodded. He let go of Hirano's hand so his senpai can reach out for his phone. Hirano, who was obviously not calm, clumsily set up the timer.

"Have you started?" Kagiura asked, eager.

"Not yet."

And as "beep" could be heard, Kagiura grabbed Hirano's hand and guided it to his cheek. He nestled into the curve of his hand, just like he did last time. Hirano could feel the warmth of his breath gently brushing against his palm.

Seconds passed by and Kagiura did nothing, which made Hirano somewhat antsy.

'Is he not gonna kiss me?'

Down to 10 second. "Hey, are-"

Without letting Hirano protest, Kagiura planted a quick peck on his lips. He chuckled when he catches how flustered Hirano looked like.

"You brat-"

He once again, closed the distance between them, not cutting it short this time. Kagiura tilted his head, his hand found their way to Hirano's thin waist and giving it a small squeeze which made Hirano gasped.

Kagiura didn't waste any second and slid his tongue, Hirano's fingertips twitched on his cheek. Soft moans escaped from Hirano as Kagiura explored his mouth. His hand pulled their body closer, the kiss grew more urgent. Hirano grasped Kagiura's uniform hem as his mind started to became blank.

It was a moment where both of their desires collided, nothing else mattered but the connection they had right now.

And that's until the timer ran out. The harsh beep cut through the haze of their intense connection.

They finally pulled apart, breathing heavy, forehead resting against eachother.

"You cheeky brat."

Kagiura let out a small laugh. "You hate it?" he asked playfully even though he already knew the answer.

"..No."

"No, I didn't hate it."

Notes:

I didn't realize writing kissing scene is really hard??? (I'm bad at it, I'm sorry)
