Work Text:
Naksin let out a loud giggle as he ran through the snow, his sister letting out a loud whine, finding the cold uncomfortable on her conteli. She lazily dragged her feet through the dirty, off-white snow, wincing as sticks scraped on her legs and rocks dug into her feet, “why are we out here, it's going to storm soon.”
She crossed her arms, a clear pout on her face which only made her brother laugh and tease her, “You act like you hate the snow.” he spun around, suddenly running through the snow, putting his hands in front of him, pushing aside any branches so he wasn't hit in the face.
Alaina let out a groan of annoyance, finding Naksin’s behaviour exhausting so late in the day. Eventually, Naksin stopped and climbed onto a tree branch, waiting for his sister to catch up, “come on Alaina! You don't have to be such a slugbug!” he called out, teasing his sister with a smug smile.
Finally, Alaina had caught up, walking towards Naksin to slap his head for teasing him but before he could take another step his foot caught under a root hidden by snow. She lets out a shriek as she trips into the snow, her voice muffled by the snow. She continues to lay there, groaning in annoyance as Naksin bends over, laughing with glee. Once he stopped laughing he grabbed his sister’s hand, dragging her through the snow, “get up!” he whines at his sister who still refused to get up.
“If you don't hurry up we're going to miss it!” he huffed, letting go of his sister who finally sat up, “Miss what?” Alaina responds, confused by her brother who only grinned and grabbed her hand, pulling her to her feet and dragging her along.
Finally, after ten minutes which felt like half an hour the siblings reached their destination, there at the base of a tree were mushrooms, plain-looking mushrooms. Alaina threw her arms in the air and turned her back to Naksin, acting dramatic, “you dragged me out here for mushrooms?! Just, mushrooms!” her words made Naksin pout and cross is arms, puffing out his cheeks, “not just mushrooms, look closely, they're weird mushrooms!” he exclaimed, watching as his sister whined and kneeled in the snow, looking at the mushrooms with a raised brow, “there's nothing interesting—”
Before Alaina could finish her sentence she pushed herself back into the snow, covering her face and glaring at her brother who had just picked up a mushroom and crushed it in her face, releasing spores. “You little rat!” she squeals, standing up and rushing over to her brother, putting him in a headlock and ruffling his hair which gained a whine from him.
