Work Text:
Lucy MacLean was burning. Flesh and bones turning to dust. She'd read somewhere that eventually everything in the universe becomes stardust.
Cooper had warned her this would happen. When Vault-Tec could no longer call the shots, they'd dropped nukes twice before, why not a third time? Third time the charm to build the world they want.
Lucy reached for Cooper, he's burning too. Like he had before it's different this time. He won't survive. Cooper won't wander around alone in the world. He will finally know peace. Lucy was grateful for that. Who knows maybe they would end up as Stardust together.
