You move to Pelican town and find friendship in the carpenter Robin, and a keen interest in Haley.

Notes:

Hey guys, this is my first post, you like it! I don't really have a schedule or anything but I will try to post once a week or every two weeks

Chapter 1: Spring part 1

Chapter Text

Spring 4th

It’s your fourth day in Stardew Valley. You have enough resources to buy a coop for your forest farm.

Robin: Hey hun, I’m Robin. You must be the new farmer, it’s really nice to meet you

You (nervously) : Uh, yeah, that’s me. It’s nice to meet you too

Robin: Have you met everyone in town yet?

You: I have met most people, I haven't been to the saloon or or the blacksmiths yet

Robin: That sounds exhausting! I am glad you came to meet me today

You: Yeah, I actually was wondering if, uh, you could build me a coop? I have all the materials, and stuff

Robin: Sure thing hun, I can get on that tomorrow if you could pass me the materials

You place a pile of logs into her arms and place some gold on the counter.

Robin: Thanks hun, I’ll see you at your place tomorrow

She winks just as you turn around to leave the shop.

Spring 5th

The next day you see Robin arrive as you water your plants.

Robin: Hiya hun, what are you growing?

She places down her tools next to your farmhouse.

You: Just some parsnips and potatoes

Robin: That sounds lovely. Where would you like the coop built?

You: Beside that wood stump would be great.

Robin: Alright then, I’ll get to work and leave you to do your work.

You go to the town and meet Mayor Lewis who unlocks the community centre. When you exit the community centre, a girl is standing next to the fountain

You: Hi there

Haley: Oh, you’re that new farmer girl aren’t you? Huhh… I’m Haley. Hmmm, If it weren’t for those horrendous clothes you might actually be pretty. Actually, nevermind.

You (Blushing) : Thanks… for that

Haley: Don’t you get tired of running around on that farm all day, or whatever you do?

You: Not really, it’s a nice change from the city to be honest.

Haley (ignoring you) : I couldn’t stand getting all dirty like that. You probably get a nice tan, though.

You: One day I will clean up the farm and it won’t be dirty, unless you wanted to have a mud fight or something

Haley: Ew what

You: I’m joking, if you came to my farm I would keep the mud away

Haley: Whatever, do you need something?

You: Nope, just saying hi

Haley: Okay bye then farmer girl

You spend the rest of the day in the mines. When you get back, Robin is still working.

Robin: Hey! I heard that Lewis showed you around the Community Center... It'd be great if you could fix that place up. It used to be a really nice building

You: Yeah, I might give it a try

Robin: Do hit me up if you need any help

You: Will do!

Spring 6th

It’s raining when you leave your house. You don’t have to water your plants. Hoorah!

You: Hey Robin, aren’t you getting wet working in the rain?

Robin: The rain doesn't stop me from getting a job done! Although soggy wood isn't a joy to work with.

You: I have a rain jacket inside if you would like to borrow it?

Robin: That’s alright hun, thanks for the offer though. Where are you off to today?

You: I am going to visit the Wizard that lives down in the Cindersap forest

Robin: Funny fellow that guy, I’ve never really spoken to him. I’m sure he’s a nice guy

You: Do you want to come in for tea later? I don’t really have much in the house yet but I do have some really nice tea which I brought with me from the city.

Robin: That sounds lovely, I sure could do with a cup of tea after this work.

You: Alright, I will see you soon!

Robin: Bye hun

After meeting the wizard and going fishing in the river, you head back home

You: Woah, the coop looks lovely! Thanks so much for building it!

Robin: My pleasure, darling

You: Would you like to come in for tea?

Robin I would love to

You open the door, allowing Robin to go through first.

You: You can take the chair, I will sit on my bed

Robin: Thanks hun

You: Do you prefer Tulip or Blue Jazz tea?

Robin: I’ll have whatever you’re having

You make the tea and place it on the table, then go and sit on your bed.

Robin (sipping the tea) : This is delicious, where did you get it from?

You: My dad made them for me before I came. He used to make tea bags from the flowers my grandfather grew. Now he grows them himself on the balcony of his flat.

Robin: That’s really sweet!

You: Yeah, I love my dad, he’s great. He sent me some money yesterday to help with the farm.

Robin: What about your mum?

You: We’re not very close. I saw her every now and again growing up, but I haven’t seen her for a few years.

Robin: Ahh hun, you seem to be doing great, and i’m here if you need anything.

You: Thanks, Robin. That’s really nice of you.

Robin: I’m a mother myself if you didn’t know. You’ve met my son Sebastian right? He lives downstairs. He’s a little shy, but I'm sure he’ll warm up to you if you’re nice to him. Sometimes I worry about him, he doesn’t have many friends and doesn’t seem to care about his future very much… I would talk to him about it but he never opens up to me.

You: Uhh, I did meet him outside your house once, he seemed like a nice chap. I’ve heard he’s friends with Sam who also seems friendly. I bet you’re a great mum, you have been so kind to me.

Robin: Thanks hun. I just worry about him so much. My daughter, Maru, is really close with her father, but Demetrius doesn’t even look at my Sebastian. I’m so sorry sweetheart for putting this all on you. I normally talk to the other mums about it but I feel they don't really understand. All their kids are normal and have hope for the future.

You (under your breath) : Abigail eats rocks

Robin: Pardon hun?

You: Uh, I didn’t say anything, I mean, I am sure they may have problems with their children that they are too afraid to express.

Robin: Yeah, you’re right. I wouldn’t want them judging my kids. Oh dear, it’s getting late, I should go. I’ll be at the Saloon next Friday if you want to pop by.

You: Thanks so much for coming, this was really nice. And thanks for the coop. Maybe I will.

Robin: Thanks so much for the tea. Hey, if you ever need any materials or blueprints, my shop is the place you’re looking for.

You: Will do

Spring 7th

On your way back from the mines you stop of at Robin’s

You: Hey Robin, I have a gift for you

You hand her a piece of quartz

Robin: Thanks, this is lovely!

You: No problem, I’ll be on my way.

You spend the next week farming, mining, fishing, and giving gifts to all the people in Pelican Town.

Spring 13th

You water your plants before heading to the egg festival

You: Hey Pierre, can I get some Strawberries seeds please?
Pierre: Here you are

You: Thanks

Robin: Hey, strawberry seeds I see, Maru and Demetrius love strawberries.

You: Strawberries are pretty great

Robin: I haven’t seen you much this week. Spring is a busy time of year

You: Yeah, I think the farm will be busy all year around unfortunately.

Robin: Mostly likely, so it’s nice to have a day to catch up with some friends. I was just talking to Caroline, her kid has won the egg hunt every year since she was five!

Caroline: Did I hear you talking about my Abby? She’s always loved the egg hunt, ever since she was a tiny girl.

Robin: I was just saying that exactly, I wish Sebastian was still into that sort of thing.

Caroline: Farmer, will you be entering?

You: I think I’ll give it a try. There is nothing like this in the city.

Caroline: I could never live in the city, that life just isn’t for me

You: I’m going to go and get some food now, see you later.

You grab a plate of food and head over to Haley and Alex

You: Hey guys

Haley: Oh, hey farmer girl, what are you doing here?

Alex: She’s probably going to do the egg hunt. I hope she beats Abigail, that would be so hot. Anyway, as I was saying, I try to eat at least three eggs every day. I need that protein for my legs.

Haley: That’s so cool, I bet that’s how you got all those muscles

Alex: Actually, the muscles are from hard work, pushups and football and all. Hey farmer, did you know I was an all star quarterback in high school. It’s true, ask Haley.

Haley: Yeah, he was. I was the star cheerleader and we made, I mean make, the perfect couple.

You: Oh, are you together?

Alex: Nah, that was high scho-

Haley: Actually we sometimes hang out. Quite often actually. I just, you know, am really into guys. Like Alex. Of course

Alex: Yeah sure, whatever. We hang out at the beach sometimes. The beach is a cool place to hang out and soak up some rays. Do you wanna hang out with me at the beach some time, farmer girl? Do you have a bikini?

You: Err, I do not have a bikini. I am going to go, the egg hunt is about to start.

Haley: This festival is alright, but what I’m really looking forward to is the flower dance. Alex always chooses to dance with me.

You find 10 eggs, meaning you win the straw hat and beat Abigail.

Spring 14th

You do some farm maintenance then head down to Haley’s house.

You: Hey Haley, happy birthday!

You hand her a daffodil

Haley: gasp…for me? Thank you! I’m glad flowers are starting to bloom, they smell so nice.

You: Yeah, there are so many beautiful flowers across town. (Whispering) Beautiful like you

Haley: Did you want anything else?

You: I just came to wish you a happy birthday.

Haley: Well… Thank you. You can go now.

You: Okay, bye, I shall see you soon.
