WAᴷE Uᴾ!

WAKE UP!!

𝐖𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐔𝐏!

Y/N woke up with a gasp, on her back, drenched in her own sweat. She quickly sat up on her bed and ripped the sheets off her. She felt like she was drowning in them. She took deep breathes to calm herself and glanced over to Grim who didn't awaken from her scuffle, thank god, he would have gotten angry if something awakened him especially since it was 3 am. She took a few more deep breathes before quietly getting up and going into the bathroom to rinse her face off and as she did, she tried to decipher what the dream meant. She didn't recall anything visual in her dream, only people's voices overlapping each other and a sense of dread while listening. She swore she heard someone telling her to wake up, but she didn't understand why. The strangest part is that it sounded almost like a voice she knew, though she couldn't place her finger as to whose voice it was... Was it her subconscious trying to get her awake up from her bad dream? She sighed as she grabbed a nearby towel to dry her face.

𝐺𝑜𝑑, 𝐼 ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑒 𝑡𝑜𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑤 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑎𝑦... Y/N thought to herself, already doubting the words she said. She has had it up to the ceiling dealing with magic mishaps. Y/N could already feel the migraine settling in, so she instead pushed the thought away and focused on trying to sleep again.

Before Y/N left the bathroom, she noticed a purple lace bow clip that was on top of her accessory box. She was invited over to Pomefiore yesterday and wanted to wear a cute accessory to go with her outfit, but ultimately chose a different accessory to go with it. It somewhat unnerved her seeing it, since she thought and REMEMBERED she placed it back into the box but she wasn't sure if that was the only thing uneasing her. Maybe she was overthinking about it, its always been a bad habit of hers... Maybe the ghosts were playing a trick on her again? Oh those ghost... Y/N went with that conclusion to help her sleep better. She picked up the purple bow and placed it inside the box and left to bed, hoping for no more weird dreams tonight.

-------------

It was a Friday and everyone was attending their usual classes and they were almost done with the day, but they had a test in History class. Y/N, as usual, finished early and tried to ignore Grim and Ace when they tried to ask her for help. When everyone was done with their test, Professor Trein allowed all the students to talk among themselves, as long as they talked quietly.

"Ace. Grim. You guys REALLY need to stop asking Y/N for help 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 we have a History test." Deuce says.

Y/N always liked how much of a gentleman Deuce is, any girl would be lucky to have a guy like him and he is a little dumb, and girls like 'em a little dumb. At least she did.

"Stop asking like a goody-two shoe, Deuce!" Ace loudly whispered to him. "I bet you stole some looks at her paper too!"

"Actually, I didn't. Unlike you, I actually go over to Y/N's place to study with her." Deuce leaned over to Ace, so that Y/N wouldn't hear. "Not just stare at her like you do..."

Ace was so ready to fight Deuce about his correct accusation's, getting up from his seat about to exchange fists until Professor Crewel came into the classroom unannounced. Ace sat back down quietly as Professor Crewel walked up to Professor Trein desk, and said something to him in a hushed voice. They talked for a while, Trein was trying not to shout and Crewel kept telling him not to be so loud, Y/N was able to make out one sentence Crewel said; "You don't think I'm aggrieved by this?!" Making the class wonder what they were talking about before both teachers turned to look at Y/N in her group. The trio stared back at them, scared, Y/N felt like they were looking at her.

"They found out you cheated Ace." Deuce says quietly as jokingly, as the group huddled a little closer together.

"No they didn't! I-I mean I didn't cheat!" Ace says quietly as well, Y/N, Grim and Deuce gave him a unamused look.

"Totally believe you, bud." Grim says sarcastically.

"Prefect."

The boys yelped and instantly gripped onto Y/N as Professor Crewel stood in front of them.

"Yes, Professor Crewel?" Y/N asked calmly

"May you follow me to the Headmages office. You as well, Grim." Crewel says in a calm tone. Y/N noticed that Professor Crewel expression was that of worry, which made her equally as worried. "I would suggest packing your things, it might be a long discussion in the office." She packed her things and she and Grim said goodbye to her friends as they left the classroom with Crewel, leaving Ace and Deuce anxious as to why they needed to talk to Y/N and Grim.

They walk through the sunlight hallways, passing by the ghost that reside in the paintings and occasionally waving at some who waved over to them, but Y/N felt something was off, it was unusually quite, and Grim noticed too. Y/N and Grim glanced over at each other wondering why they were walking to the office in silence, usually Crewel would talk to them every time they would bump into each other in the halls, he was usually chatting with them. So this worried them, whatever they need to talk about, it was very serious. They were somewhat scared to say anything so they just kept walking in silence until they reached the door to Crowley's office. For some odd reason she and Grim didn't want to enter. Were they in trouble? Whatever it was, they both felt something serious is going down or about to go down.

"Y/N." Crewel says in a serious tone.

𝑂ℎ 𝑛𝑜, 𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑳𝑳𝒀 𝑏𝑎𝑑! 𝐻𝑒 𝑢𝑠𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑠𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑝𝑢𝑝 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠, ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑠𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 ℎ𝑒'𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠. Y/N thought as she tried to figure out why they would suddenly want to talk to her and Grim.

"Yes, Professor Crewel." She says calmly, not showing how shit scared she was.

"You can deny his request. No one will blame you. I certainly won't." Professor Crewel says as he places his hand on the door handle. Grim was really scared, drifting closer to Y/N when the door to the office was opening. Grim gulped loudly as he grabbed onto Y/N's leg, Y/N patted the top of his head to comfort him, but also to comfort herself.

"Ah, Prefect Y/N, Grim! Come in, we have been expecting you!" Crowley says in a happy tune, Y/N immediately scrunched up her face in disgust back at him, Crowley was used to that expression so it didn't phase him as much as before. She picks up the scared stiff Grim and hesitantly walks inside as Professor Crewel closed the door behind them. Crowley was seated at his desk with his hands cupped in front, only to then extend a hand out to the chair in front of his desk and waited for Y/N to take a seat to join them. She and Grim give each other a worried look before taking the seats that Crowley offered them. She placed Grim to the seat next to her.

"You're probably wondering why I asked for your presence here today." Crowley says

"Yeah we wonderin' why! We were in class and then suddenly we were summoned here! What are you up to now!" Grim asked annoyed, trying to hide how anxious he is.

"Settle down Grim, I assure you that I, along with our guest will explain everything. We just have to wait for him... Professor Trein and Coach Vargas will join us soon along with him."

"Guest?" Y/N and Grim ask in unison

"All will be explained soon." Crewel says patting the top of her head before standing near Crowley's desk, he continued to have a worried look on his face. The feeling of moths in her stomach were getting more and more intense. Yes, they are moths not butterflies. The butterflies have long since vacated the area.

The bell rang not to long after Crewel finished talking, after the sounds of students footsteps become faint and then silence, Professor Trein and Coach Vargas came into the office a few minutes later with an older man that Y/N and Grim didn't recognize. He had short white hair and a short white-beard, who wore a long blue robe with a long white scarf draped on his shoulder, very round glasses, and a bent blue cone hat. But the thing that caught Y/N's eye was the emblem that his hat had, it was a Royal Sword Academy emblem, she also noticed how tense Coach Vargas and Professor Trein were, which scared her since one usually is level headed and other doesn't seem to have anything going on his head aside from exercising.

𝐷𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠-

"Thank you for having me again Crowley. I certainly missed our conversations!" The man says happily.

"Yeah... So did I..." Crowley says in a somewhat sarcastic tone. "𝐴ℎ𝑒𝑚! Since everyone is here, we can now hold our meeting. Headmage Ambrose, these two are Night Raven College Prefects; Y/N and Grim. These were the one's that I mentioned earlier to you. Y/N, Grim, this is the Headmage of Royal Sword Academy; Ambrose LXIII."

"Mrah! Headmage of Royal Sword Academy!" Grim says doing a double-take of the man.

"I somewhat guessed from the emblem he had on his hat, but why is the Headmage of Royal Sword here...?" Y/N asked, very worried about the answer they would give her.

"Do you want to explain?" Crowley says to Ambrose, secretly hoping he does so that he didn't have to.

"Well, its only appropriate for me to explain, since this problem takes place in Royal Sword."

"Wonderful! I-I mean, Y/N, Grim, you will need to pay attention to his explanation, then we shall explain why you two are here."

"Great..." Y/N and Grim say in unison in a sarcastic tone. Grim jumps into Y/N's lap, already needing comfort from the news they are about to hear.

𝑌/𝑁 𝑐a𝑛 𝑛e𝑣e𝑟 𝑐a𝑡cℎ 𝑎 𝑏r𝑒a𝑘, c𝑎n sℎe?

"Recently, Royal Sword Academy has been dealing with something... 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 troubling. Something Night Raven College dealt with not to long ago."

"Overblot." Y/N and Grim says bluntly in unison

"How did you know!?" Ambrose says stunted

"WHAT REALLY?! W-WE LITERALLY JUST GUESSED! Crowley, didn't you tell me that its "rare" for overblot to happen?!" Y/N says sticking her finger in his face.

"Yeah you liar!" Grim hissed

"N-Now, now Prefect's!! L-Listen to his explanation!" Crowley says putting his arm up in defense.

"Hmph!" They both say turning their attention back to Ambrose, with annoyed expressions.

Ambrose was somewhat surprised with how invasive they both were, and how the other instructors were okay with it.

"...Yes, overblot is indeed rare ESPECIALLY in Royal Sword Academy, Night Raven College has had some students be overcome by overblot in the past, but that's is to be expected." Ambrose says, not seeing that he received death glares in the room by all the instructors, including Y/N and Grim. "But this overblot is different. I have a theory that something is causing the overblot in my students."

"Do you have anything to back this theory up?" Y/N says as she pats the now crossed arm Grim.

"Actually, I do. This theory that I have has to do with the fact that many of these cases appeared suddenly less than two week ago, and the students who overblotted say they used a minuscule of magic on the same day they overblotted. Mind you, you need to use sufficient magic to overblot but I'm sure with your past experiences, you already knew that." Y/N raised an eyebrow at his knowledge of that. "Those said students have been placed in the Nurse's Office to be looked after and are in terrible conditions, some haven't been able to use their magic at all or can't control it... And others choose not to use it, in fear that they will overblot again." Ambrose rubs his temples, Y/N just noticed how tired he looks. Poor guy.

"Overblotting again? The same students?" Grim asks. "I thought they were in the nurse's office restin'?"

"These events happened before we started to connect the events. This is where the situation gets complicated... The first student who overblotted recovered and we thought that was the end of the matter, but when they were in one of their classes casting a spell, they unfortunately overblotted once more. Again, they didn't use any magic that day until they tried casting the one spell in that classroom. Then more and more cases of overblot started to arise since then and more of the same students overblotted again using a simple spell. Thus started the fear that once you overblot you can't use magic. That is when we placed them to be supervised in the Nurse's Office until we find what is causing it." Ambrose sighed and rubbed his temples, Professor Trein used a bit of magic to pull a chair close for Ambrose to take a seat, he knows how much of a headache and how worrying this all must be for him, he was already getting a headache listening to him, Ambrose thanked him and took the seat.

"Thank you Ambrose. So this is where we explain why you two are here. There is something important we would like to ask you-"

"You have the right to reject this proposition." Professor Trein says, interrupting Crowley.

Crowley gave an exhaustipated groan before continuing. "YES you can, but I intend let you sit with the thought before I let you make your decision, but since this is a timely manner you would need to make your decision's with haste, two days." The instructors were about to object, but Crowley put his hand up to stop them. He was serious now, the air somewhat got heavy when he raised his hand. They bite their tongues and Crowley cupped his hands back together, making the air go back to normal. Grim gulped again. "Y/N, Grim, you both have had to deal with and solve all the overblot cases here in Night Raven College. Therefore, you might be able to help us with the situation we have at Royal Sword Academy. Ambrose and myself, have had an idea to sent someone into the school to act as a spy and to inform us if they see anyone that may seem suspicious or see anything that might be causing these incidents. But we also didn't want to let just 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑒 into the school, that would be foolish on our part. We need someone who knows how to keep their mouth shut, since this is classified case meaning no one outside this room knows anything about the situation happening in Royal Sword Academy, aside from the students and instructors attending there, of course. We also need this person who has prior knowledge of people who have overblotted and how to deal with them. Then I thought of you two." Crowley says pointing both index fingers at them, causing Grim to gulp again. "I know two day's doesn't seem like enough time to decide, but the lives of the students as well as the instructors in Royal Sword Academy are at stake," Crowley looks over at the instructors as he explained. "And if Y/N and Grim don't intend to help, then we will need to take another form of action and or find another suitable person for the job. We shouldn't waste time with their decision making. So, Y/N, Grim, I want you both to go home for the day and decide unanimously on what both your decision would be. Remember, don't tell anyone what is happening at Royal Sword Academy. The last thing we want is the press and other academies to catch wind of this, if this gets out... It could be disastrous..."

Y/N and Grim look at each other and sit in silence as they took the information in.

"I know this must be a lot for you. I would appreciate all the help we can get, though I would rather not force anyone to help. So please, take your time. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask." Ambrose says with a comforting smile, Y/N forced a smile back and looked down to Grim who was looking up at her with a scared look, as if asking her what they should do. She petted him to comfort him.

"I do have questions." Y/N says putting on a brave face. "How did you keep any of this information from leaking out from the students? Did you put some kind of force field around the academy or something? I mean do they still have access to the internet?"

"Oh hoh hoh! My, she doesn't hesitate does she!" Ambrose says. "Well, actually yes, I did. Which is the main reason why I am very drained of magic at the moment and tired... I have placed the whole academy on lockdown to keep the students in so they don't overblot in town and to keep information from leaking into the web. Many students are not happy about it, since many use an app called Maggiecam?"

"Magicam. Alright, well that explains that... also Crowley mentioned to you that I am magicless, right?"

Ambrose give you a first confused then shocked expression. "You don't possess magic!"

"Crowley!" Everyone in the room spouts to him.

"Even I remember that Y/N can't use magic!" Vargas spits out

"How could you forget something so incredible important!" Trien shouts at him

"To be honest, that fact completely slipped my mind~" Crowley says with a chirp in his voice.

"Ugh, I can't believe you sometimes." Y/N says slumping in her chair

"Yeah! You tryin' to get us killed!" Grim hissed again

"Well, even if you two were to get in a predicament that involved an overblot, I really doubt you two would get killed. Remember, you had to deal with seven students who overblotted. Six of those were Housewardens, so no, I don't think you would die." Crowley says confidently

"Yeah, the only reason we are still alive is because we have a group of people helping us AND they have magic! Which I don't have and Grim has very little!" Y/N says lifting Grim up.

"Hey!" Grim spits back.

"Well, I did want to leave this for when you actually 𝑑𝑜 say yes, but since I am such so very kind, I will show you." Crowley pulls a small-long mahogany box from his drawer and places it on his desk for all to see. "Since you guessed the first question right, what do you think is in this box, Y/N?"

"TUNA!" Grim spouted

"I SAID Y/N!"

Grim pouts as Y/N thought. "Hm..." Y/N stared at the box while she thought. 𝐼𝑡 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝑏𝑜𝑥 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑠 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑏𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑟, 𝑖𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑎 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑏𝑖𝑔.....

"A wand...?" She says with a cringed face not expecting it to the right answer.

They all sat in silence before he answered.

"ITS A WAND!" He says popping open the box to reveal a long and skinny silver wand, it almost looked like a huge sewing needle. It was looked very rusty however, looking like it hasn't been used in a while.

"What a sad and... displeasing wand." Crewel says to fill the excitement with a heartbroken tone. "Where did you even get that?" His eyes felt like they were tearing up with how bland the wand is.

Crowley frowned at his reaction. "Actually, I was gifted this wand a very 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 long time ago. So long I had completely forgotten how to use it, but with the help of 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 I was able to remember how to use it! Its no wonder why I never remember using it since this wand is only made for those with no magic! Perfect for Y/N! Though I'm sure who gave it to me or why they bothered giving it to me..."

The room was filled with silence again, then when anger. Crewel and Trein were squabbling to Crowley as to why he didn't give it to Y/N sooner, while Ambrose enjoyed how lively these instructors are and how comfortable they were with each others presence. Y/N covered Grim's ears since he has more sensitive hearing than people, though her ears are sensitive too.

"SILENCE!" Crowley shouts and the rooms goes quiet once more. "Good, I can explain. Remember when I said that this wand is old? Well, its so old SO MUCH SO that magic can not completely fix it."

"How... old are you Crowley?" Grim asks

"Never. Never ask me that again. 𝐴ℎ𝑒𝑚! The main problem is that the wand now has a limited usage, which is one of the many reason as to why I didn't give it to Y/N before and since I knew she could handle herself without the use of magic of course!"

"Of course! She just brute strength's it all!" Coach Vargas says while he flexed an arm. "Just like all the students should!" He says proudly

"Exactly! If she says yes to the plan and due to the circumstances she might face in RSA, I will give the wand to her but she would have to use it only when she truly needs it, such as when she comes face to face with an overblot, which I hope, truly I hope that that does not happen. The other problem is that I have no idea how much usage it has, which could prove to be quite a predicament if she needed in a serious situation before, being another reason why I didn't give it to her before. But I do in fact know that it should have at LEAST seven uses in it. And another big reason, it requires the magic of another mage to infuse magic in it."

"Someone has to infuse magic in it? But isn't that like an old regular wand?" Grim asks

"Well yes but this wand was made for those who don't posses magic." Professor Trein says. "So a mage would need to infuse the wand with their own magic so any magicless being can posses and use it through the wand. I'm curious how you even have one even after all these years and how I never seen these wand types."

"It may have to do with the fact that they are hard to make and how they aren't made anymore." Crewel chimes in. "They need a unique type of mage stone in order for them to be made, since the stone needs to expel the magic with a code word and not use magic from the mage themselves but from a being without magic."

"Wouldn't it be easier for the wand to have a button? Like the toy ones that Sam sells." Grim says

"Ha! And have anyone take the wand from you and abuse its power? Of course not. The wand would HAVE to have a code word that the owner would have to say before being able to use the wand."

"How do you know so much about these wands?" Professor Trein asks, quite impressed with Crewel's knowledge.

"When I was younger, I went to a museum that had a wand that possessed a beautiful, detailed design. So I instantly took a liking to it." Crewel explains. "It was said to belong to a princess who didn't posses magic and was given the wand as a gift from her father, the King at the time. Sadly, with time people forgot about the kingdom and eventually the princesses name's. But one day it was stolen by a masked man, never to be seen again. They still have an image of the wand in the museum, if I remember correctly its located in the Shaftlands. I'm actually surprised that you didn't know of it."

"Even I get history wrong or miss a few things. I'm surprised you know so much about it..." Trein says

"All I know about these wands is that very few were made for the reason Instructor Crewel said earlier." Ambrose says. "The magestones were rare to find, and because of that reason were only given and custom made for royalty or people with enough money to ask for one. This is actually my first time seeing one in person and its been decades since I even heard anyone mention them."

"Its has also been decades since I heard anyone mention these wands, but I suppose I thought they were making it up since I couldn't find anything in writing about them. Are you sure you saw this museum in the Shaftlands?"

"I am quite positive! Maybe you just missed it with your poor eye sight or memory is just fogging up!" Crewel states

"How old are you Professor Trein?" Grim asks

"He's 58." Y/N says bluntly.

"I'm not going to- Wait, how do you know that!?" Trein asks with a shocked expression while Crewel, and Ambrose hold back their chuckle.

"Uhhhh, Crowley! You can continue!" Y/N says ignoring his question.

"Oh! I thought everyone forgot about me!" Crowley sit back up after slumping into his chair. "As I was saying; It requires the magic of another mage to infuse magic in it. Once magic is infused into the wand, the magic inside will become stronger than the magic previously was, deeming it to be quite powerful if used for the wrong reasons. Oh! And don't worry Professor Crewel! Once the wand is given to their new owner, it will change its form to a form that is suited to the owner of the wand!"

𝐻e𝑎d𝑚a𝑔e C𝑟o𝑤l𝑒y a𝑐t𝑢a𝑙l𝑦 𝑑i𝑑 𝑠o𝑚e𝑡h𝑖n𝑔 𝑡h𝑎t c𝑜u𝑙d t𝑢r𝑛 𝑡h𝑒 𝑡a𝑏l𝑒s o𝑓 𝑡h𝑖s s𝑖t𝑢a𝑡i𝑜n? 𝐻o𝑛e𝑠t𝑙y I a𝑚 𝑠u𝑟p𝑟i𝑠e𝑑... I w𝑜n't h𝑜l𝑑 𝑖t u𝑝 𝑡o h𝑖m tℎo𝑢gℎ, h𝑜w𝑒v𝑒r I w𝑜u𝑙d l𝑖k𝑒 𝑡o s𝑒e h𝑜w tℎi𝑠 𝑤a𝑛d𝑠 𝑤o𝑟k𝑠 o𝑛c𝑒 𝑖n u𝑠e.

"But where is the mage stone? I thought these wands are suppose to have one? I don't see one on it." Y/N asks while staring at the wand.

"Hm. I'm not sure... Perhaps once you take the wand the stone will appear on the wand." Trein theories

"Maybe flexing at it will give it a boost!" Coach Vargas says while flexing at the wand. Nothing.

"It was worth a try Coach." Y/N says to make him feel better

"You don't think that perhaps we need another magestone, do you?" Crewel says poking at the wand with his pointer.

"Of course not." Crowley says as Y/N picks up the wand to inspect it. "Like I said before it works, it just needs magic to be infused into it. H-Have any of you been listening to me?" He says slapping both hands on the desk.

"Yes, but what if it only worked for you because you already have magic, like you said before it only works for those who don't have magic, yet you said you were able to get it to work? How sure are you that it will work for Y/N?" Trein states

"Sadly, I agree with Trein..." Crewel said with a disgusted tone, as he closed his pointer. "He makes a grand point... Also, all wands need a code word in order for them to work, if you were able to get the wand to work then you know the code. Then if Y/N is able to use it then we could believe you. So what is it?."

"Of course I-" Crowley stopped and then thought for a moment. Then he gasped. "I don't remember..." Of perhaps, he forgot to ask.

Both Trein and Crewel ganged up on Crowley while Coach Vargas inspected the box that had the wand. Reading the name the box had engraved at the bottom. It said;

𝑇𝑜 𝑚𝑦 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑑𝑎𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑟, 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒
𝑀𝑎𝑦 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑢𝑝𝑜𝑛 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟
𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑒.

Vargas thought it was strange that Crowley had a box that had a wand that he said was gifted to him, when the box it self says other wise. He wasn't sure what to do with this information so he kept it to himself and tried to find any other clues that the box had. Then something else fell out.

As the instructors squabble among themselves, Ambrose scoots closer to Y/N and Grim who were looking at the wand in her hand. She turns it in all angles for anything like writing or a magestone but Crewel was right, there was no magestone on the wand, not like they needed to look at it very hard, the wand was thin as a needle, there was no way a magestone would fit on it. It reminded Y/N of another wand she saw a famous fictional godmother have back at home.

"Hm. I wonder..." Y/N thought aloud

"Do you have an idea?" Ambrose asks. "Go on and try it, if it doesn't work then we can keep trying." He says with a comforting smile.

She smiled back. "What I'll say will be embarrassing... Promise you two won't laugh." Grim and Ambrose glance at each other before nodding in agreement. "Thank you." She says before closing her eyes to take a deep breathe, closing out all of the noise the room had to put all her attention to the wand. With another deep breathe said those famous words.

"Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo."

The wand starts to glow on que with the words and started to change its form in her hand, their eyes widen but then squint shut with how bright the light got and the bright light caught the attention of everyone else in the room as they turned to see where it was coming from.

The wand started to change at the handle, changing its thin silver shape and material into a somewhat thicker, white wooden handle that was smooth to the touch but had a fine wood texture to it. In the middle the wood started to twist, making two small columns of twisted wood that were on top of each other that went in opposite directions, at the base of the wand stayed silver and so did its needle shape only becoming thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top and it wasn't rusty anymore. At the top of the wand sat a pink diamond and a large crescent moon sat on top of it, inside the crescent moon was a eight point star. And finally to finish it all off all the light went to the bottom of the handle to reveal a another pink diamond and attached to it at the very bottom of the wand was the magestone that the wand hid from them with gold filigree around it.

"Wow! I didn't actually think that word would work!" Y/N says happily as she stared at her wand. She felt like she used up all her lucky stars with how much she has gotten right today...

"Y/N, you did it!" Grim shouts happily as he also stares at her wand. "You said those dumb words and it worked!" Y/N glared over at him. "Hey, at least I kept my promise on not laughing!" He protested

"Yeah I guess so..."

"It's beautiful, Y/N!" Crewel says as he skipped over to Y/N and Trien trailed behind. "It more beautiful than the wand I saw at the museum those years ago!" He gushes.

"I don't think I've ever seen a wand with so much detail before. It's a lovely wand that suits you, Y/N." Trein says

"Thank goodness." Crowley says sinking into his chair, relieved that he no longer is getting yelled at by Trein and Crewel. "But remember, you only get the wand when you say yes to helping in Royal Sword Academy."

"Yeah I remember..." Y/N says with a pout. "Does the wand keep its shape if I put it down?"

"Of course! Since you said the code word, it is now your wand and will keep its shape until someone else says the code word." Crowley explained. "Now, if you please." He asks for the box back that Coach Vargas took and opens it for Y/N to place the wand back inside.

She placed the wand back into the box and Crowley locked and placed the box back into his desk. She was sad to see it go, since it was hers now... She could finally get the chance to use magic and be closer with her friends...

"Remember, two days." He says once more bringing her back to reality.

She looks down at Grim who was looking up at her. "We'll think about it, and we'll be back Sunday to give you our answer." Y/N says

Crowley and Ambrose needed to speak in private and everyone else was dismissed to attend their classes, and Y/N and Grim were allowed to leave for the day to think about their decisions. If they were to say yes, then they could be move on to the next part of the plan.

Y/N and Grim walked back to Ramshackle in silence. They went through the Main Street, every time she went down that street, she swore she felt all the statues look at her. Though some had their eye's closed. This time however, she swore she heard one of them laugh at her but when she turned she saw her friends not a laughing statue.

"Y/N! Grim!" Ace yelled at them. Ace and Deuce ran over to them, Grim gulped at the sight of them. They both knew, they couldn't say anything to them about what they talked about in the Headmages office. And they both knew how nosy they were.

Deuce and Ace were making their way over to their next class and were waiting for Y/N and Grim to leave the Headmages office, so this was perfect!

"Y/N! You guys are out, thankfully you guys are still alive!" Ace joked, but not getting a laugh from both Y/N and Grim. Deuce looked at Ace who looked at him back, both having concerned looks. "We thought it was strange that last period we had free time since all the teachers left for something important..."

"Are you two okay?" Deuce asks. "What did you, Headmage and Professors talk about?"

Ace said rubbing his neck, getting uncomfortable with how quiet Y/N and Grim were being. Y/N and Grim glanced at each other, turned and continued walking to Ramshackle. Deuce and Ace were confused as to why they weren't talking to them and Deuce thought the worse.

"Oh my god, did you guys get expelled!" Deuce spouted

"No! It's.... its complicated... I-WE can't tell you guys what happened in there. I'm sorry..." Y/N says as Grim jumps into her arms.

"Oh...okay." Ace says giving Deuce another confused look. "Well, you guy's are going the wrong way. Heh heh, silly Y/N, we still have one last class to go to!"

"We were giving the last class off... So, we won't be joining you guys. Sorry." Y/N says turning away from them. She promised them that she wouldn't keep anymore secrets from them, the really REALLY big ones, yet here she and Grim were keeping something big away from them. Grim was covering his mouth with his paws, it was really difficult for him to keep secrets.

She thought of their options. If they say yes, she would have to leave NRC to RSA without being able to tell them why and then everyone will question what happened. If she said no, she still won't be able to tell them about why she was ignoring them and not telling them what happened in the Headmages office. Both outcomes were a lose lose situation! This isn't fair! Why did she and Grim always have to deal with it! If only she had that wand right now, she could cast a spell to make forget they saw them, but then again she didn't know how to use it.... She felt tears start to whelm up in her eyes and bolted to the Ramshackle with Grim in arms, leaving both Deuce and Ace.

She hated this, she hated all this! She could never truly be honest with her friends. How left out she feels being around them, along with other things she didn't want to think about now.

Why couldn't today just have been a normal day?
