Chapter Text
Lisa lay on her bed, she’d been struggling and it felt like there was no hope, nobody was noticing the change in her behaviour, why she’d lost weight or wore clothes that covered her more, bought more makeup etc, well.. nobody except Úna, the woman who Lisa would eventually work for. Truth be told Úna and Lisa were both very attractive women, well girls actually, Lisa’s only 18 and it feels like her world has ended, Úna is 19 and has started a company, Lisa feels pathetic compared to her crush. Yeah, she’s crushing hard on Úna, but she would never tell her, after all, she’s in a relationship with Damien, a man who is freakishly older than her.
So Lisa stayed in bed, sitting on the edge of it and smoking a cigarette, an unfortunate habit she’d picked up after being introduced to her boyfriend, she wished she could escape this nightmare but there was just no way. Her parents wouldn’t accept her if they knew she was into women, so she smoked more. She drank more. She cried more. And she ate less. It was a truly vicious cycle.
Úna approached the home Lisa lived in, praying that that creep was out. She opened the door and let herself in, taking off her shoes and going upstairs to Lisa’s room, hoping she’d catch her in a tank top or without makeup so she could see the extent of abuse or scars, after all, she knew Lisa was in a bad situation. She opened the door and stood in shock, looking at the girl in front of her, Lisa was black and blue, thin and smoking???
“Lisa.? Oh Christ..”
Úna sat on Lisa’s bed and hugged her, holding her closely. Lisa paused, struggling to understand how Úna got in without making a noise and hugged her even though she was a mess.
“Úna..?”
Lisa whispered, feeling the tears in her eyes threatening to fall, she dropped her cigarette in the ash tray and laid her head on Úna’s chest, longing for the sense of comfort she used to find so easily in the woman or anyone she had loved in her life, the same life that felt so pointless that she’d drown out the world by taking a chunk of glass, from a mason jar she’d broken, to her thighs and cut so much and so deeply she’d feel faint. When Damien learnt she’d cut herself he bought her a razor, when Una would eventually find out about this she would be livid and fucking try kill him, obviously more protective of the girl than she let on.
“It’s okay.. it’s okay Lisa..”
Úna whispered into the top of the girls head, gently kissing it.
Lisa cried like a baby into Úna’s arms for hours, then keys in the front door were heard and the sound of boots clacking against the cold wood floor sent shivers down her spine.
“You have to go..”
Lisa spoke in a frantic and hushed tone, her gorgeous green eyes wide.
“Why? After what a cunt I’ve hear-“
Lisa shushed Úna.
“Please..”
“What.? Lisa?”
Lisa opened the window and threw Úna’s bag out.
“You’ll be fine with the jump, I know.”
She looked down, she was so pathetic, like a little puppy, always pushing away the love she got.
Lisa loved like a dog, she bit like one too.
Lisa shoved Úna out of the window, it was relatively quiet, though there were a few loud cracks that were presumably her bones snapping, as well as the yelp Úna let out.
Well, though Lisa made an attempt to hide that Úna was even there in the first place, Damien heard, after all, who wouldn’t hear the noise of a woman hitting the floor from the second floor window? The man frowned, then turned round and opened the front door. To his left was Úna, in a heap on the ground, in so much pain she couldn’t cry. Her bones had broken and gone through the skin, she was bleeding heavily from the wounds and there were chunks of presumably her flesh and bone in the blood on the ground. Damien paused, what the fuck was he looking at???
“Excuse me?”
He said, his voice gruff and his frown deepening.
Úna let out a pained whine in response, shaking and hyperventilating, she’d never felt pain like this before (cause she’d never fell from the second floor onto large rocks, bits of glass and an upturned rusty rake).
Lisa, by this point, had worked out that something was amiss, though not knowing what, she looked out of her window and gasped.
“Oh my god..”
