Rukawa scented something. It’s sweet, soft sweet and calming. Coming from the person beside him.
Sendoh Akira.

The ace of Ryonan had invite the younger man to hang out with him. Of course, he was coldly rejected. So he has to pull out the ‘I will one-on-one with you’ card.
And it was very effective.
Resulting in both of them now walking together on the street. Because of their height, they really did stand out. Many people were looking at them. Well, especially girls. They were also gossiping something to each others.
Sendoh knew that Rukawa doesn’t enjoy being in a situation like this. So he suggested them going to some diner and find something to eat. At least less people will be paying attention to them.

They decided to settle in one small and quiet restaurant. Sitting at the table at the corner. Both of them ordered a simple meal. Like a burger and fries with some drink. While waiting for the food, Rukawa suddenly spoke up.
“Perfume.”
“?”
Sendoh who was looking at the menu looks up, a bit confused. Those black dead eyes are staring at him. Still not showing any emotion. But he thinks he could feel something.
“Your perfume stinks.”
After quietly staring at each other for a while. Rukawa finally said what’s on his mind. And that made Sendoh wanted to laugh. But he suppressed it. A smile tinted his face.
Opposite of the ace of Shohoku who is not looking so happy.
“My bad. I didn’t know you wouldn’t like it.”
He said half-joke half-serious. Well, he did wear perfume almost everyday when he go out. He’s a handsome man after all. He wanted to look good and smell good.
Nobody ever complained about it before too. Except for Rukawa.
Seeing the expression on that pale face. He must really not like it. But what can he do? It will probably stick to him for the rest of the day. Well, maybe it will fade when they one-on-one?
“Just bear with it for a while.”
Sendoh smile and said gently. Fortunately, that doesn’t help one bit. Rukawa is still pouting. He sat back and crossed his arms. He has been enduring it since they first met this morning. It’s better from when they were walking side by side now though.
The older let out a short laugh. Putting one arm on the table and resting his head on his palm. Looking at the pouty kid before starting to explain something.
“That made me sad you know?”
Rukawa doesn’t know if he was serious or not. But still stay silent. Waiting for the other to speaks.
“I wore a different one today. Especially for you.”
He said, staring at those dark eyes. Which still showing no emotion. Seems like he doesn’t believe it, huh?
“This scent, I put it on only a few times. So I don’t know if anyone will like it. I just thought that you might like it.”
“…”
“Looks like my prediction is wrong.”
What he just said was all the truth. His usual scent would gave more of a cool vibe. He thinks he would go for sweet this time. But the other seems to be dissatisfied with it. Well, not that he’s sad or anything. Kinda funny to be honest.
Surprisingly, Rukawa calmed down. His brows soften and his mouth no longer a pout. Still a sight of annoyance left though.
“Not that I hate it.”
The latter said softly, avert his eyes. Looking out the window. His voice feels genuine and that made Sendoh lighten up.
“Really?”
“I’m just not used to it.”
The smile on his face widen. He would feel bad if someone feels uncomfortable around him.
“Alright! The next time we date I will definitely put on a scent you like.”
“Huh?”
Rukawa is clearly confused by those words. Date? Next time? This is a date? Aren’t they going to one-on-one later?
Drowning in his thought, he was brought back to reality by the familiar laugh. His brows furrowed hard together. His expression was soften for just like 5 seconds.
“We’re not dating.”
“My bad again.”
Even though he apologized it doesn’t seem like he was feeling it. He was having fun teasing him. Rukawa already said too much more than he intended too. So he decided to stop talking from now on.
And it’s not too long before their foods arrived. The aces from both team started eating in silence.
He should just keep his mouth shut and not mention about that perfume ever.
