No matter how fast she walks, no matter how she ignores him, he’s still following her; and doesn’t that man know what it’d look like on the outside when the king is rushing after some random woman in the castle hallways; and what the fuck does he want from her every single time, anyway, why does he insist on talking to her every damn chance he gets?
But there’s no one around in the first place, so Rin grits her teeth as she spins around, grabbing Laios—King Laios, or whatever, and she never did like this man—by his stupid fur cape to shake him (and for some reason, he goes slack in her grip, knees buckling, letting her slam him into the wall until he’s eye-to-eye with her), hisses, “I’m not in the mood, don’t you get—”
The rest of that sentence gets stuck in her throat at the sight of him; wide eyes, pupils blown out, mouth slack, face red, and for some reason, Rin’s heart skips a beat, for some reason, Rin thinks for the first time literally ever, oh, oh, oh, he’s kind of… and then immediately hates herself for it.
