Work Text:
Eremi = Eren + Mikasa
Commander Eren Yeager loves his kids equally.
His boys are his joy, his pride, his life, his oxygen, his heart.
Rin, the firstborn. He’s got Mikasa’s calm and reserve while also getting Eren’s determination and curiosity. Quiet, but there's this adventurous spirit in him. His Eren-green-eyes sparkle with Mikasa’s intelligence. Their firstborn and first pride. He's the best of both of his parents, wrapped up in one amazing polite little kid.
Sae, the older twin. The boy was a striking mix of his uncle Levi, with a sprinkle of Eren-green-eyes, creating an interesting blend of family traits. Despite being young, Sae had a maturity about him that was both impressive and a little uncanny, so mature for his age – like he's an old soul (Levi) in a toddler's body.
Shidou, the youngest twin. Oh boy … The little kid was a whirlwind of energy, darting around the yard with a wild grin on his face, his laughter echoing through the evening air. His brown hair was always tousled, and his clothes were covered in dirt from his latest adventure. Eren’s mini-me, a copy-and-paste of his father in every sense. He was adventurous, wild, and always getting into some sort of trouble. His Eren-green-eyes sparkled with mischief and excitement, causing mayhem.
But…
Eremi .
His daughter …
She is his little Princess, his sweetheart, his angel, his baby girl, his sunshine, his pumpkin, his cutie, his precious, his cherub, his darling, his little girl, etc….
It was like Eren’s world orbited around the baby Princess when the little girl was born.
Eren had always dreamed of having a big family.
He was blessed with three wonderful boys — a chill yet stubborn one, a mature and serious one for his age, and a mischievous and full-of-life one. He wouldn’t change them for anything in the world.
But when the fourth child, a baby girl named Eremi, came into his life, everything changed…
The cries of our newborn filled the room.
The doctor smiled as he saw the gender of the Royal baby, knowing General Yeager was so excited to have, he exclaimed. "Congratulations, it's a girl !"
Eren couldn't believe it — his heart soared with indescribable joy. Mikasa beamed at him, her eyes twinkling with tears of happiness. "You were right," she whispered, her voice filled with slight annoyance.
As he held his newborn daughter in his arms, a flood of emotions overwhelmed him. Eren already had three wonderful sons, each unique and cherished in their own ways, but this moment with the baby girl felt profoundly different for him.
Eremi was a miracle wrapped in a tiny bundle, her delicate features so captivating and new. As the father of four gazed into her already- Eren-green - eyes , he felt a surge of overwhelming love and protectiveness. Her arrival completed the Yeager family in a way he hadn't realized was missing.
Mikasa lay as he stood beside her bed, dark eyes sparkling with joy and tenderness as she looked at her daughter held by a loving father.
He gently kissed Eremi's gooey forehead, marveling at her perfect face. The weight of responsibility mingled with profound gratitude as Eren envisioned the future ahead. He wanted to shield her from every harm, to guide her through life's challenges, and to witness every milestone she would reach.
In that quiet moment, holding Eremi close to his heart, he fell in love again.
It was a typical evening in the Yeager household.
Eren and the four children — three boys and a three-month-old baby girl — were gathered in the living room. As always, Eren had his little princess cradled in his arms, showering her with affection. Eren was sitting on the living room couch with Eremi, now a cheerful baby, cooing as he baby-talked to her as her brothers were playing with their wooden toys on the rug in front of them. Mikasa, bustling around the kitchen, couldn't help but notice the scene and grinned to herself. Setting down a tray of snacks, she sauntered over to her husband, the boys dropped their toys and rushed to eat snacks.
"Enjoying yourself, Eren?" Mikasa asked with a playful glint in her eye.
Eren looked up, his smile widening. "Absolutely! Eremi and I were just having a nice conversation, weren't we, sweetheart?" He gently squeezed Elise, who responded with delighted laughter.
Mikasa leaned in closer, her tone teasing. "You know, I remember a time when you claimed you'd be tough on our kids. Now look at you — soft as a marshmallow with our little girl."
Eren chuckled, not the least bit offended. "Well, my baby girl has a way of melting my heart, what can I say?" he said as he gently took Eremi in his arms, then leaned to the coffee table to grab food.
Mikasa, who was used to the chaos of raising three rowdy boys, observed Eren's newfound doting with a mix of amusement and exasperation. Eren's attention was now divided, and most of it seemed to be directed solely at Eremi. He would spend hours playing with her, making funny faces, and cooing at her giggles. He bought her the softest blankets, the cutest outfits, and the most adorable toys — far more than he had ever done for their boys.
Eren
Mikasa stood in the warm, cozy kitchen, gently rocking her four-month-old daughter, Eremi, in her arms. The soft bubbles bursting against the bottom of the pot filled the room as she heated a bottle for the baby. Eremi cooed quietly, her little fingers grasping at Mikasa's shirt, her big, curious eyes taking in the world around her.
Mikasa glanced through the kitchen window, her heart swelling with love as she watched her sons playing outside on the swing Eren made for them by the big oak tree. Rin was gently pushing Sae and Shidou, their laughter ringing out in the golden evening light. Sae, ever the serious one, held on tightly, his expression one of determined focus on not falling thanks to his twin leaning back, arms outstretched, his wild laughter filling the air.
A soft smile spread across Mikasa's face as she looked down at Eremi, who was gazing up at her with wide, adoring eyes. "Your brothers are having so much fun, Eremi," she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her daughter's forehead. "And soon, you'll be out there playing with them too."
The bottle was ready, Mikasa carefully grabbed the pot off the fireplace and tested the temperature of the milk on her wrist before moving to the porch door. She stepped outside, the cool evening breeze brushing against her skin. Eren had built a sturdy wooden swing for her, a place where she could sit and watch their children play, and it had quickly become one of her favorite spots.
As she began feeding her daughter, Mikasa felt a profound sense of peace and contentment. The porch swing swayed gently, and she hummed a soft lullaby, watching her boys play and thinking about how complete their family felt. Eremi's tiny hands grasped at the bottle, her eyes slowly drifting closed as she nursed.
Soon, Mikasa feeding Eremi, and the sound of hooves reached her ears. She looked up to see Eren riding into view, his horse trotting gracefully down the path leading to their home. Her heart leaped with joy at the sight of him. Eren's face lit up with a broad smile as he saw his sons running toward him, their excited shouts filling the air.
"Daddy's home!" Shidou yelled, he jumped off the swing, his small legs pumping as he sprinted to meet Eren. Rin followed at a more measured pace, his expression calm but his eyes sparkling with happiness. Sae climbed off the swing, his usual stoic demeanor softening as he joined his brothers.
Eren dismounted, his laughter echoing as he was surrounded by their boys. He scooped up Shidou, tossing him playfully into the air before catching him again. Sae tugged at Eren’s coat, his face lighting up when Eren ruffled his hair affectionately. Rin stood nearby, a shy but happy smile on his face as Eren pulled him into a hug.
Mikasa watched the scene with a smile, her heart full. Eren glanced up and met her eyes, his expression softening with love. He set Shidou down and began walking toward the porch, his sons trailing behind him like eager ducklings.
As Eren reached the porch, he leaned in to kiss Mikasa gently, his hand brushing against Eremi’s soft hair. "How are my favorite girls?" he asked, his voice warm and affectionate.
"We're good," Mikasa replied, her smile widening. "Just enjoying the evening. Eremi was just having her bottle."
Eren sat down beside her on the swing, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and looking down at their daughter, who was drinking her bottle contentedly. He reached and gently took Eremi from Mikasa, his eyes filled with adoration as he looked at his daughter.
"Hey, little princess," Eren said softly, taking the bottle from Mikasa's hand. "I've missed you so much today," Eremi gurgled in response, her tiny hand reaching out to grasp Eren’s finger. He chuckled, his eyes twinkling with joy.
Their sons gathered around the swing, eager to share their day with their father. Rin spoke about a new book he read, while Shidou excitedly recounted his latest adventure in the backyard and the bugs he found. Sae, as usual, added his own quiet observations, his mature demeanor making Eren smile with pride.
Once their excitement calmed down, Shidou dragged his older brothers back to the tree swing, leaving their parents and little sister.
Soon, Eren’s attention was back to his baby girl – like always.
"Look at her, Mikasa," Eren cooed, his eyes sparkling with adoration as he gazed down at Eremi, still sucking on her bottle. "Isn't she just the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?"
Mikasa, sitting next to him, smiled wryly. "She's our daughter, Eren. Of course, she's beautiful."
Eren chuckled, planting a gentle kiss on Eremi’s forehead. "But she's more than beautiful. She's a treasure. Look at these tiny fingers and those little cheeks!"
Mikasa rolled her eyes playfully. "And what about our three 'treasures' over here?" she gestured to the boys, who were now engaged in a lively game of tag. "Don't they deserve some of your attention too?"
Eren glanced over at their sons, grinning. "Of course they do! But Eremi is different. She's my princess. My little angel."
Mikasa sighed, amused but slightly exasperated. Ever since Eremi was born, Eren had been completely captivated by their daughter. He spoiled her endlessly, Mikasa couldn't deny that she also adored their baby girl, but Eren was clearly biased.
He continued to feed Eremi, singing to her softly and cooing at her. The boys, accustomed to their father's undivided attention being mostly on their sister these days, didn't seem to mind and were happily occupied with their own games.
As the sun continued to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over their home, Mikasa looked at Eren again. She could see the contentment in his eyes, the joy of being surrounded by his children after a long day at work.
"Eren," Mikasa said softly, touching his arm to get his attention. "Why don't you stay out here and finish feeding Eremi? Keep an eye on the boys while I start dinner."
Eren looked at her, a grateful smile spreading across his face. "Are you sure, Mikasa? I don't mind helping with dinner."
She nodded, her eyes sparkling with love. "I'm sure. You've had a long day. Spend some time with the kids. I'll call you when dinner is ready."
Eren kissed her forehead. "Thank you, Mikasa. You're amazing."
Mikasa smiled and stood up, giving Eren one last kiss before heading inside.
Later that night, after putting the boys to bed, Mikasa found Eren in Eremi’s nursery, gently rocking her in the rocking chair, the baby nodding to sleep. She leaned against the doorway, watching them with a mixture of fondness and amusement.
"You know, Eren," Mikasa began, her tone teasing, "You've changed ever since Eremi was born."
Eren glanced up, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I can't help it, Mikasa."
Mikasa chuckled. "Just wait until she's a teenager. You'll be pulling your hair out worrying about boys."
Eren's expression shifted, a hint of concern flashing in his eyes. " Boys ? No way. She's never allowed to date. Eremi deserves the best. And until she's ready to handle boys, I'll make sure they know she's off-limits."
Mikasa laughed, shaking her head. "Ah, the protective father emerges. You'll be scaring them off with that glare of yours.”
Eren raised an eyebrow, feigning seriousness. "Absolutely. No boy will be good enough for her."
Mikasa laughed, knowing Eren was only half-joking. "Oh, I can already see you training the boys to be her protectors, ready to scare off any potential suitors."
The head of the household expression turned thoughtful. "Actually, that's not a bad idea. I'll make sure her brothers are well-prepared."
Mrs. Yeager playfully glared at him. "Just don't embarrass her too much, okay? Let the poor girl have her fun."
Eren nodded, but deep down, he knew that letting Eremi grow up was inevitable, but the thought of her facing the world without his constant protection made his heart clench.
Mikasa stepped into the room, her presence quiet and calming. Eren looked up and met her gaze, a tender smile spreading across his face.
"I'm going to get ready for bed," she whispered, leaning down to kiss Eremi's forehead and then Eren's cheek. "I'll wait for you."
Eren nodded, his eyes filled with love. "I'll be there soon."
Mikasa left the room, her footsteps light as she made her way to their bedroom. Eren turned his attention back to Eremi, who was now almost fully asleep. He continued to rock her gently, his thoughts drifting to the precious memories they had already created in her short life with every person he cherished…
The "Older" Yeagers
Stepping out into the crisp afternoon, Mikasa stayed behind with their three boys, promising to keep them entertained while Eren made the short drive to his parents' house.
(In the days following Eremi's birth, Eren found himself filled with a sense of eager anticipation. He couldn't wait for their friends and family to meet their precious baby girl, and to see the joy and love she brought into their lives. But as the weeks passed, a small illness began to spread through the community, causing Eren and Mikasa to become increasingly cautious.
Eren was especially adamant about keeping Eremi safe. He had heard horror stories of infants falling ill, and he was determined to do everything in his power to protect her.)
Now that the illness was gone, he was going to introduce his three-week-old baby girl to his parents.
Eren rode his horse down a familiar path, cradling his daughter securely in his arms. The brisk wind rustled the colorful leaves, sending a cascade of reds, oranges, and yellows fluttering to the ground. Eren had wrapped Eremi in a warm, soft blanket, ensuring she was snug and comfortable against the cold.
The crisp air was invigorating, and Eren felt a sense of anticipation as the familiar outline of his childhood home came into view.
As they approached the house, Eren saw his parents waiting on the porch, bundled up against the chill. Carla, waved enthusiastically, her face brightening as she spotted them. Grisha, stood beside her, a warm smile on his usually serious face.
His parents gathered around, their expressions softening as they laid eyes on their granddaughter for the first time when he dismounted the horse, smoothly and carefully.
"Oh, Eren , she's beautiful," my mother exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder.
My father chuckled, his eyes twinkling with joy. "A granddaughter at last ," he said, his voice thick with emotion since he and Carla always wanted a girl.
They had always imagined a little girl, someone to cherish and protect, someone to dote on and shower with love. But fate had different plans, and they found themselves with two sons instead—Eren and Zeke.
(Which they wouldn’t trade for anything.)
However, having Mikasa in their lives had been a gift beyond measure. She had grown up alongside Eren, her presence filling their home with warmth and light. From the moment she had come into their lives, The Yeager family had felt a special connection to her, as if she had filled the void they hadn't even realized existed.
When Mikasa married Eren, it had felt like a natural extension of their family. She had been instantly welcomed as a daughter, her bond with Eren strengthening the ties that bound them all together.
But now, as the grandparents looked at Eremi, they realized that having a granddaughter was a different kind of joy altogether. It was a chance to relive those dreams they had once held so dear, to experience the wonder and innocence of childhood of a little girl.
Carla reached out, her fingers gently brushing against Eremi's tiny hand. "She's perfect," she whispered, her voice cracking at the end as she felt tears form.
Grisha’s eyes alight with affection. "She's quite the beauty, isn't she?" he said, his voice filled with admiration.
Eren chuckled before the sound of the front door opening echoed through the house, signaling Zeke's return from work. The blond man stepped into the living room, his eyes scanning the familiar faces, his lips curved into a warm smile.
"I’m home!" Zeke greeted, his voice filled with affection as he shed his coat and kicked off his work boots. It was almost instinctual for him to greet his family as soon as he entered the door, a routine that had been ingrained in him since childhood.
But as Zeke's gaze fell upon the unexpected visitor in the room, his smile widened into a grin so wide it threatened to split his face in two. He gasped in delight, his eyes lighting up with pure joy.
"Oh my goodness," Zeke exclaimed, his voice tinged with excitement. "Is that who I think it is?"
His family chuckled at his antics, exchanging amused glances as they watched Zeke's reaction. Carla, sitting on the couch with Eremi in her arms, couldn't help but smile at her eldest son's exuberance.
"Yes, Zeke," Carla replied with a fond chuckle. "It's your niece, Eremi. Say hello."
Zeke wasted no time, quickly crossing the room and dropping to his knees in front of Carla and Eremi. His face was alight with happiness as he gazed at the tiny bundle in his mother's arms, his heart swelling with love.
But as the moment stretched on, Zeke couldn't resist a mischievous twinkle in his eye. With a chuckle, he turned to his brother, Eren, who was watching with amusement.
"Hey, Eren," Zeke teased, a playful grin spreading across his face. "Remember that bet we made about the baby's gender?"
Eren raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. "I remember. What about it?" Eren asked even though he knew the results of said bet.
"Well," Zeke continued, his grin widening, "Looks like I owe you some money. You were right all along."
Eren laughed, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "I told you she was going to be a girl. Looks like my pleas paid off."
“Oh – I have to warn you. I'm going to spoil her rotten."
Eren chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "I figured as much. But just remember, she's still my daughter. And Mikasa might have something to say about it if you go overboard."
Zeke's smirk widened into a grin. "Oh, I'm well aware. I've seen the look she gives you when you try to argue with her."
Eren laughed, knowing exactly what Zeke was talking about. Mikasa had a way of making her opinions known, and she wasn't one to be trifled with. "Yeah, she has a way of keeping us all in line."
As Eren’s family continued to stare at Eremi, talking to each other, Eren watched with a sense of warmth and happiness. In that moment, surrounded by family and filled with love, Eren knew that their newest addition had already captured the hearts of everyone around her.
For the next hour, Eren sat with his family in their cozy living room, sharing stories of Eremi's arrival and marveling at her every feature. They couldn't take their eyes off her, and Eren soaked in their adoration with a deep sense of fulfillment.
The Ackermans
The following week, on another chilly day, it was the Ackerman family who now came to visit the Yeager cabin to meet their newest Princess.
As night fell and the house quieted down with the boys tucked into bed, they wanted them to meet their one-month-old daughter, Eremi, properly – without the boys tugging on their grandfather’s pants or asking their Uncle Levi to hold them.
Eren and Mikasa had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Mikasa's father and brother.
Soon a knock on the door was heard and Eren hurried to answer it, a smile spreading across his face as he greeted Kenny and Levi. "Kenny. Levi. Come on in."
Kenny and Levi stepped into the warm embrace of the Yeager cabin, their eyes scanning the room until they landed on Mikasa sitting by the couch, who was waiting eagerly by the fireplace. Mikasa's heart swelled with emotion at the sight of her father and brother, and she hurried over to greet them, a soft smile gracing her lips.
"Father. Levi," Mikasa said, her voice filled with warmth. "We're so glad you could make it."
Kenny pulled Mikasa into a tight hug, his gruff exterior softened by the love he felt for his daughter. "Wouldn't miss it for the world, sweetheart."
Levi nodded in agreement, a small smile quirking at the corner of his lips. "Yeah, it's good to see you, Mikasa."
As they exchanged greetings, Eremi stirred in her place on the couch, her tiny fingers reaching out into the air. Mikasa's heart swelled with love at the sight of her daughter, and she turned to Eren with a smile.
"I think someone wants to meet her grandfather and uncle," Mikasa said, her voice soft with affection.
Eren nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "Let's introduce them properly."
They led Kenny and Levi over to Eremi, where the baby girl lay peacefully, her green eyes wide with curiosity. Kenny's heart swelled with emotion at the sight of his granddaughter, and he reached out to gently stroke her cheek.
"Hey there, little one," Kenny murmured, his voice surprisingly tender. "You're even more beautiful than I imagined."
“Hold here, Father,” Mikasa smiled, encouraging Kenny, who nodded and gently brought Eremi to his heart and then took a seat on the couch as everyone round him.
As Kenny held Eremi in his arms, a rare vulnerability crept into his weathered features. His rough exterior softened, replaced by an expression of profound emotion. Tears glistened in his eyes as he gazed down at the newborn, his hands cradling her with a tenderness that seemed incongruous with his gruff demeanor.
Mikasa observed her dad quietly from across the room, her heart swelling with unexpected sentiment. Kenny had always been a pillar of strength — a man of few words and unyielding resolve. Seeing him now, moved to tears by the sight of Eremi, evoked a flood of memories and unspoken emotions.
Levi, who had been observing from a distance, stepped closer, his sharp eyes betraying a rare hint of affection. "Are you alright, Father?" he asked, his voice unusually gentle.
Kenny blinked back tears, his voice hoarse with emotion. "Yeah, I'm fine," he managed to reply, his gaze never leaving Eremi's tiny face.
Mikasa approached quietly, her eyes shining with unshed tears. She sat next to her Father as she placed a hand on Kenny's shoulder, a silent gesture of understanding and support. "It's okay, Father," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion.
Kenny looked up at Mikasa, his gaze filled with a mixture of pride and longing. "She reminds me of you," he confessed quietly, his voice wavering.
Mikasa's breath caught in her throat. She had seen in a couple of times her dad vulnerable before, and the realization that Eremi had stirred such deep emotions within him touched her deeply. Eren was sporting a huge smile while Levi watched the scene unfold with a rare softness in his eyes.
A swell of emotion rose within Kenny, threatening to spill over. The baby girl looked up at him with wide, curious green eyes, her tiny features so reminiscent of his own daughter, that it took his breath away. It was as if he was holding his own little girl all over again, transported back in time to those precious moments when Mikasa had been just a baby herself.
Tears pricked at the corners of Kenny's eyes as memories flooded his mind — the soft cooing of his daughter, the warmth of her tiny body against his chest, the overwhelming love that had consumed him from the moment she had entered his life. He had never imagined that he could feel such a profound connection to another human being, and yet, here he was, experiencing it all over again with his granddaughter.
Taking a deep breath, Kenny composed himself, his grip on Eremi tightening ever so slightly as he fought to control his emotions. He glanced over at Levi, his eldest son, who was watching him with a knowing look in his eyes.
"She's something, isn't she?" Kenny said softly, his voice thick with emotion.
Levi nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, she really is."
Kenny cleared his throat, trying to push aside the memories that threatened to overwhelm him. "Do you want to hold her, Levi?"
Levi's eyes widened in surprise at the offer, but he nodded eagerly, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Yeah, I'd like that,” the King said as he sat on the other side of his Father’s seat.
With careful hands, Kenny passed Eremi over to Levi, watching as his son cradled her close, his expression softening as he looked down at her.
Levi's eyes lingered on Eremi's delicate features, and a bittersweet smile played on his lips. "She's a beauty, Mikasa," he remarked quietly, his voice carrying a hint of emotion.
The mother chuckles as she feels Eren’s presence behind the couch, she nods in agreement, observing the tenderness with which Levi holds Eremi.
Levi's expression softened further, and for a fleeting moment, they all saw a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. "It's... It's like déjà vu," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
Curious, Eren puts his hand on his wife’s shoulder, and she places a hand on top of his. The Head of the household asks his bother in law. "Déjà vu?"
Levi took a deep breath as if gathering his thoughts. "When I look at her, it reminds me of... Mikasa," he confessed, his voice tinged with nostalgia.
Kenny felt a pang of sympathy for his son. Levi rarely spoke or showed his emotions so openly.
Levi nodded, his gaze fixed on Eremi's tiny face. "Yeah. When Mikasa was born... I remember holding her, feeling... overwhelmed when M-Mom placed her in my arms. She was so small, so fragile. Just like this little one," he explained, his voice laced with wistfulness.
They all listened in silence, struck by the depth of Levi's sentiment. Mikasa held a special place in Levi’s heart — a connection that transcended time and distance.
Levi gently touched Eremi's cheek, his touch feather-light. "You're lucky, Yeager," he murmured, his tone sincere. "Cherish every moment with her."
Eren nodded solemnly, grateful for Levi's rare display of vulnerability. "I will," he promised, his voice filled with determination as he squeezed Mikasa’s hand.
Suddenly, memories seemed to wash over Levi's stoic demeanor. His mind was transported back to a distant time — when Mikasa was just a newborn when life was simpler and filled with hope. The weight of past losses and regrets bore down on him, and for a fleeting moment, he looked as if he might indeed shed a tear.
Armin
The sun was beginning its descent, casting a warm golden hue over the Yeager’s cozy cabin nestled in the woods. The serene beauty of the forest, combined with the sounds of nature, made it an idyllic setting for a family home. Eren had invited Armin over that morning at work, eager for his best friend to meet his new niece and spend time with his nephews. Armin had been excited all day, looking forward to the visit.
As Armin approached the cabin on horseback, the familiar path through the trees brought a smile to his face. The sense of peace and contentment that always accompanied visits to the Yeager home was something he cherished deeply. He dismounted his horse and tied its reins to a sturdy tree near the cabin. The smell of pine and the crisp, fresh air filled his lungs, reminding him of the simple joys of life.
Armin barely had time to stretch before he heard the excited shouts of his nephews. He turned just in time to see Rin, Sae, and Shidou racing towards him, their faces alight with joy.
"Uncle Armin! Uncle Armin!" they called out in unison, their voices full of excitement.
Armin's heart swelled with affection as he knelt down to embrace them, his arms opening wide to catch the three boys as they barreled into him.
"Hey there, little rascals!" Armin laughed, ruffling their hair affectionately. "How have you been?"
Rin, the eldest, spoke first, his eyes shining with excitement. "We've been good, Uncle Armin! We've been waiting for you all day."
Sae, ever the serious one, nodded solemnly. "Yeah, Dad said you were coming. We couldn't wait to show you our new swing."
Shidou, the youngest and most energetic, couldn't contain his enthusiasm. "And you have to meet Eremi! She's so cute!"
Armin chuckled, his heart warming at their excitement. "I can't wait to meet her. And I definitely want to see this new swing of yours."
With the boys still chattering excitedly, Armin allowed them to lead him towards the cabin. The front porch was decorated with hanging flower baskets, and the soft glow of lanterns created a welcoming atmosphere. Eren and Mikasa stood at the doorway, smiling at the heartwarming scene unfolding before them.
"Eren, Mikasa," Armin greeted them warmly, embracing each of them in turn. "It's so good to see you."
"We're glad you could make it," Eren replied, clapping Armin on the back. "The boys have been talking about your visit all day."
Mikasa smiled, her eyes filled with warmth. "And we’ve been looking forward to introducing you to Eremi."
As they stepped inside the cozy cabin, the scent of freshly baked bread and herbs filled the air, making Armin feel right at home. The interior was a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, with wooden beams, soft rugs, and a crackling fireplace that added to the inviting ambiance.
"And here she is," Mikasa said softly, leading Armin to the cradle where baby Eremi lay, swaddled in a soft, pink blanket.
Armin's breath caught as he gazed down at his niece for the first time. Eremi was the picture of innocence, her tiny features a perfect blend of Eren and Mikasa. Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at Armin with curiosity, her little hand reaching out as if to greet him.
"She's beautiful," Armin whispered, his voice filled with awe. He reached out gently, letting Eremi grasp his finger with her tiny hand. The connection filled his heart with a profound sense of love and wonder.
"She likes you already," Eren said with a smile, his eyes shining with pride.
Armin looked up, his heart full. "I’m honored to be her uncle. She’s truly a blessing."
As the evening wore on, the family gathered around the table, sharing stories and laughter. The boys took turns showing Armin their new swing, their adventures filling the air with youthful exuberance. Eremi remained the center of attention, her presence a beacon of joy.
Soon, the cozy ambiance of the Yeager cabin was filled with the delicious aroma of dinner being prepared. Mikasa moved gracefully around the kitchen, serving up hearty portions of stew and freshly baked bread. The warm glow of the kitchen lanterns cast a soft light over everything, making the scene feel even more intimate and inviting.
Armin sat at the kitchen table, cradling Eremi gently in his arms. The baby girl looked up at him with wide, curious green eyes, her tiny fingers grasping at the fabric of his shirt. Armin's heart swelled with affection as he gazed down at his niece.
"She's so perfect, Mikasa," Armin said softly, his eyes never leaving Eremi's face. "I can't believe how much she looks like you."
Mikasa glanced over, a soft smile gracing her lips as she saw the tender scene. "We're so lucky to have her."
Armin nodded, his heart full. "I can't wait to spoil her. I've already started thinking about all the things I want to do with her when she's older. She’s going to be so loved."
Mikasa chuckled, a knowing look in her eyes. "She’s going to be a very spoiled little girl with so many people who love her."
Armin's gaze softened as he rocked Eremi gently. "You and Eren have created something beautiful here, Mikasa."
Mikasa's smile grew, and she walked over to the table with a bowl of stew in hand, setting it down in front of Armin.
As she returned to the stove to serve more bowls, Armin continued, "Eren must be over the moon. I remember how excited he was when you were expecting, saying it was a girl this time."
Mikasa laughed, her eyes softening as she ladled stew into another bowl. "He was. He still is. Eremi's arrival has brought so much joy into our lives."
Armin shifted Eremi slightly, making sure she was comfortable. "I can see that. She's going to be surrounded by so much love. Not just from you and Eren, but from everyone in the family."
Mikasa carried another bowl over to the table, placing it down with a grateful smile. "We’re lucky to have such a supportive family. And we're glad you’re a part of it, Armin."
Before Armin could respond, the sound of playful splashing and giggles echoed from the bathroom. Eren's voice could be heard, gently chiding the boys as he washed them up for dinner.
"Alright, you three, that's enough water on the floor. Let's get you cleaned up and ready for dinner," Eren called out, his tone a mix of exasperation and amusement.
Armin chuckled, shaking his head. "Sounds like Eren has his hands full."
Mikasa laughed softly. "He always does with those three. But he wouldn't have it any other way."
In the background, the sound of laughter and splashing water echoed from the bathroom where Eren was washing the boys, and preparing them for dinner. The noise brought a smile to Mikasa's face as she turned to head back to the kitchen, but not before pausing to place a hand on Armin's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Eren will be out with the boys in a minute," she said. "Thank you for holding Eremi. She seems very content with you."
Armin smiled, feeling a deep sense of contentment. "It's my pleasure, Mikasa. Holding her is the highlight of my day."
As Mikasa continued to serve dinner, Armin remained focused on Eremi, talking softly to her, and sharing stories about her brothers and how much they adored her. His voice was soothing, and Eremi seemed to respond, her little fingers curling around his thumb, her eyes growing heavy with sleep.
Soon, Eren emerged from the bathroom with the boys, all freshly washed and still buzzing with energy. They made their way to the table, their excited chatter filling the room.
"Alright, everyone, dinner’s ready," Mikasa announced, her voice warm and welcoming.
Eren smiled as he helped the boys into their seats, then turned to Armin and Eremi. "You two look comfortable over there."
Armin chuckled, reluctantly standing up with Eremi still in his arms. "She’s a natural at stealing hearts, Eren."
Eren grinned, coming over to take Eremi from Armin. "Thanks for holding her, Armin. Now, let’s eat."
As the family settled around the dinner table, the room filled with the comforting sounds of conversation and laughter. The warm, inviting atmosphere of the Yeager cabin made everyone feel at ease.
Eren, always attentive to the needs of his family, noticed that Armin was still holding Eremi as the food was being served. He smiled, standing up and making his way to a corner of the living room where a beautiful light wooden cradle stood. The cradle, crafted with care and skill, was one of Eren's proudest creations, built with love and anticipation before Eremi was born.
With a gentle touch, Eren brought the cradle closer to the table and placed it next to Armin. "Here, Armin," he said warmly. "Why don't you set Eremi down in the cradle so you can eat dinner comfortably?"
Armin looked up at Eren, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thanks, Eren. This cradle is beautiful. You did an amazing job."
Eren chuckled a hint of pride in his voice. "Thanks. I wanted it to be special for her."
Carefully, Armin stood and walked over to the cradle. Eremi stirred slightly in his arms but remained peaceful as Armin gently laid her down, her tiny form nestled snugly within the soft blankets. She let out a contented sigh, and her eyelids fluttered closed, lulled by the gentle rocking motion of the cradle.
"Sleep well, little one," Armin whispered, a tender smile on his face.
With Eremi settled, Armin returned to the table, where the rest of the family was already beginning to eat. He took his seat beside Eren, who clapped him on the back in a friendly gesture.
Dinner continued, the boys couldn't contain their excitement and began to talk Armin's ear off. Their voices overlapped as they animatedly shared their stories and adventures.
"Uncle Armin, you should have seen us on the swing today!" Rin exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement. "We went so high, it felt like we were flying!"
Sae chimed in, his voice more measured but equally enthusiastic. "And we found a cool lizard in the garden. It was so fast, but Shidou almost caught it!"
Shidou, always the most energetic of the trio, jumped in with his own dramatic flair. "And I almost climbed the big tree in the back! But then Mom said it was too dangerous, so I had to come down."
Eren and Mikasa exchanged exasperated but amused glances, knowing how overwhelming their boys' chatter could be. Eren decided it was time to intervene.
"Alright, boys," Eren said firmly, his voice carrying a note of authority. "Give Uncle Armin a break and let him enjoy his dinner."
Mikasa chuckled softly at the scene, amused by her husband's attempt to corral their energetic sons. She knew Eren had a soft spot for the boys' enthusiasm but also appreciated his efforts to keep things in order.
Armin, ever the gentle soul, held up a hand to stop Eren. "It's fine, Eren," he said with a warm smile. "I love hearing their stories. They're full of life and excitement. Besides, I love my nephews to death."
Rin, always the most obedient, immediately calmed down and nodded, his excitement giving way to a more serene demeanor. "Sorry, Uncle Armin," he said politely.
Sae nodded as well, turning his attention back to his stew. "Yeah, sorry, Uncle Armin."
Shidou, however, couldn't resist adding his own dramatic touch to the situation. He let out an exaggerated sigh and theatrically picked up his spoon. "Fine, I'll eat my food," he said with a playful pout, causing everyone at the table to chuckle.
Eren shook his head with a smile, grateful for Armin's patience and understanding. "Alright, just remember to eat your dinner."
As the meal went on, the boys continued to sneak glances at Armin, clearly wanting to share more of their adventures but restraining themselves out of respect for their parents' instructions. The warmth and camaraderie around the table were palpable, a testament to the strong bonds that held the Yeager family and their friends together.
In the midst of the lively conversation and the cozy atmosphere, Armin felt a deep sense of belonging and happiness. Surrounded by the love and laughter of his closest friends and their wonderful children, he knew that these moments were the ones that truly mattered.
Years later…
Shiganshina now thrived, bustling with activity and progress.
The town became a place where technology and tradition intertwined seamlessly.
The King, with Hange and Moblit by his side, Levi began to outline his vision for his country's future — a future built on collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to progress. Together, they would lead into a new era, one filled with promise and possibility.
Mikasa, the beloved Princess, dressed in regal attire yet radiating warmth and compassion, she embodied the spirit of her people.
Accompanied by a small retinue of guards, would spend hours visiting patients, offering words of comfort and encouragement. Her gentle touch and genuine concern brought solace to those in pain and hope to those in despair.
She would also venture to the orphanage, she made it a priority to ensure that every child felt loved and cared for. She played games with them, listened to their stories, and promised to always be there for them.
At the schools, Mikasa's arrival sparked excitement among the students. She spoke to them about the importance of education and the power of knowledge. She encouraged them to dream big and never give up on their aspirations. Her words resonated deeply with the young minds, inspiring them to strive for greatness.
In the bustling plaza, Mikasa addressed the gathered crowd, her voice strong and unwavering. She spoke of unity and resilience, reminding her people that they were stronger together. She thanked them for their unwavering support and promised to always serve them with dedication and love.
Erwin's leadership style was a blend of fairness and strict discipline. He demanded excellence from his soldiers, pushing them to their limits while also ensuring that they were treated with respect and dignity. His unwavering dedication to his subordinates earned him their loyalty and admiration.
Under Erwin's guidance, the militia had become a formidable force, well-trained and highly skilled. They underwent rigorous training exercises, honing their combat skills and tactical prowess. But more than that, they were instilled with a sense of duty and honor, a commitment to serving their King and protecting their people.
In the barracks, Erwin personally oversaw the training of new recruits, pushing them to excel and surpass their own limitations. He led by example, showing them what it meant to be a true soldier — to fight with courage, to lead with integrity, and to never waver in the face of adversity.
In Shiganshina's military headquarters, Colonel Armin Arlert would sit alongside Commander Eren Yaeger and General Erwin Smith, poring over maps and strategizing for the defense of their beloved country. Armin's keen intellect and strategic prowess had earned him his recent promotion, and his presence was invaluable in times of crisis.
Sasha Blouse, once Mikasa's loyal lady-in-waiting, now served as the devoted babysitter to the young Princes and Princess. With a playful spirit and a heart full of warmth, Sasha watched over the royal children as if they were her own. As the demands of their respective roles as Commander of the militia and Princess of the realm grew, Eren and Mikasa found themselves increasingly busy with royal duties and military matters. In their absence, they relied on trusted individuals to care for their children, ensuring that they were well taken care of while they fulfilled their responsibilities. Sasha was their first choice and the kids loved her.
In the heart of Shiganshina, a grand marketplace stood, where once there had been a small one. Stalls overflowed with goods from both Eldia and Marley — fresh produce, intricate crafts, and exotic spices. Merchants haggled and laughed, the hum of commerce a soothing symphony of success.
On a sunny afternoon, Eren found himself strolling down the bustling street with his two-year-old daughter, holding her small hand in his.
The little girl's eyes sparkled with excitement as they approached an ice cream parlor, her face lighting up at the sight of colorful frozen treats displayed behind the glass counter.
"Daddy, can we get ice cream, please?" Eremi asked, her voice sweet and pleading.
Eren couldn't resist her adorable request. Despite knowing that Mikasa might disapprove of spoiling their daughter with too many treats, he found himself unable to deny Eremi's earnest plea, especially when she gave him those irresistible green-eyed puppy looks.
"Of course, sweetheart," Eren replied with a grin, scooping Eremi up into his arms and carrying her into the parlor.
The ice cream man behind the counter looked up, his eyes widening in recognition as he saw the familiar figures approaching. A wide grin spread across his face as he greeted them warmly.
"Commander Yeager! And little Princess Eremi!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine delight. "What a pleasant surprise! It's an honor to have you here."
Eren nodded in acknowledgment, a small smile playing on his lips. "Good afternoon. We're just here for some ice cream."
The ice cream man's smile widened even further as he turned his attention to Eremi, who was peering up at the colorful array of flavors with wide eyes. "And what can I get for you, Princess?"
Eremi beamed up at the ice cream man, her excitement palpable. "I want strawberry!" Eremi exclaimed, pointing at the bright pink ice cream.
Eren chuckled, unable to resist her enthusiasm.
The ice cream man chuckled too, scooping a generous serving of the ice cream into a cone and handing it to Eremi with a flourish. "There you go, Your Highness. One strawberry ice cream cone, fit for a Princess."
Eremi accepted the cone with a happy squeal, her eyes lighting up with delight as she took her first bite. Eren watched her with fondness, his heart swelling with love for his precious daughter.
As the server handed them Eren his ice cream cone, Eren watched with amusement as Eremi took her first lick. Her face lit up with delight, and Eren's heart swelled with happiness at her pure joy.
"Daddy, can I have sprinkles too?" Eremi asked, her eyes wide with anticipation.
Eren glanced at the toppings bar and couldn't help but indulge her further. "Sure thing, sweetheart," he replied. Eren couldn't resist the adorable request, his heart melting at the sight of his daughter's hopeful expression. He glanced at the ice cream man, who was already reaching for the container of rainbow sprinkles with a knowing smile.
"Of course, Princess," the ice cream man replied, sprinkling a generous handful of rainbow-colored confections over the top of Eremi's cone.
Eremi's face lit up with delight as she watched the sprinkles cascade down onto her ice cream. She giggled with glee, her tiny fingers reaching out to touch the colorful array of toppings.
"Thank you!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with gratitude as she clutched her cone tightly.
"Thank you," he said to the ice cream man, reaching into his pocket for the coins to pay for their treats.
The ice cream man waved off his offer, a look of genuine warmth in his eyes. "It's on the house, Commander. Consider it a token of appreciation for all you do for our kingdom."
Eren was touched by the gesture, grateful for the kindness and support of the people he served. "Thank you," he said again.
Once outside, Eremi giggled with delight as she admired her decorated ice cream cone. Eren couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt knowing Mikasa might not approve of the sugar rush he was allowing their daughter to enjoy. But seeing Eremi's face light up with happiness was worth it.
"Daddy, you're the best!" Eremi exclaimed between licks of her ice cream.
Eren laughed, tousling her hair affectionately. "Anything for my little princess," he replied, his heart swelling with love for his daughter.
After finishing their ice cream, Eren wiped Eremi's sticky hands and face with a napkin before they continued their walk through the lively streets. Eremi chattered excitedly about the flavors and colors of the ice cream, and Eren listened with a smile, treasuring these precious moments with his daughter.
"Daddy, look !" Eremi exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder.
Eren couldn't help but smile at his daughter's enthusiasm. "What do you see, sweetheart?" he asked, crouching down to her level.
Eremi's eyes widened as she gazed at a display of stuffed animals in a nearby store. "Bunny! Want bunny, Daddy," she pleaded, her voice sweet and eager.
Eren glanced at the shop, then back at Eremi, who was giving him again her best rendition of the infamous green-eyed puppy look that Mikasa had warned him about. He knew he was going to face Mikasa's disapproval later for spoiling their daughter, but at that moment, he found himself unable to resist.
"Alright, let's go get you that bunny," Eren conceded with a chuckle, unable to deny his daughter's infectious joy.
Eremi's face lit up with delight as Eren led her into the store. As they entered the toy store, the sound of bells tinkling overhead greeted them, and Eren was immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The shelves were lined with toys of every shape and size, and Eremi's eyes widened with wonder as she took it all in.
An old woman behind the counter looked up from her knitting as they entered, her eyes twinkling with warmth as she saw the familiar faces.
"Well, if it isn't the Commander and the little Princess!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "What a pleasant surprise! Welcome to my humble shop."
Eren smiled warmly at the old woman, touched by her genuine kindness. "Thank you. We're just here to pick out a toy for Eremi."
The old woman nodded knowingly, her eyes crinkling with amusement. "Ah, I see. Well, you've come to the right place!”
"We'll take the bunny at the window, please," Eren said, grinning at Eremi.
Eremi squealed in delight as the woman nodded and went to retrieve the bunny, she then handed Eremi the soft, fluffy toy. "Thank you, Daddy!" she exclaimed, hugging the bunny tightly.
Eren couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness at his daughter's joy. He decided to make the most of their outing, indulging Eremi's every whim as they continued their walk through town.
With Eremi clutching her new fluffy pink bunny tightly against her chest, Eren led her out of the toy store and back onto the bustling streets of Shina. The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the city as they made their way towards home.
Eren's horse waited patiently at the edge of the street, its gentle whinnies filling the air as they approached. Eremi's eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of the majestic animal, and she bounced up and down on her toes as Eren helped her onto the saddle in front of him.
"Are you ready, Princess?" Eren asked, his voice filled with warmth as he settled onto the horse behind her, his arms wrapping protectively around her waist.
Eremi nodded eagerly, her laughter echoing through the streets as the horse began to trot forward, carrying them on their journey home. The cool evening breeze tousled their hair as they rode, and Eren couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and contentment settle over him.
As they passed through the familiar streets of Shina, Eren couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the city at dusk. The towering buildings seemed to glow with the warm light of the setting sun, casting long shadows across the cobblestone streets below.
Eremi leaned back against Eren's chest, her tiny hand reaching up to grasp his own. "Daddy, thank you for the bunny," she said softly, her voice filled with love and gratitude.
Eren smiled down at her, his heart swelling with affection. "You're welcome, sweetheart. I'm glad you like it."
Together, they rode on through the city, the gentle clip-clop of the horse's hooves providing a soothing rhythm beneath them. And as they neared home, Eren couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these—simple moments of connection and joy shared between a father and his daughter.
Eren braced himself for Mikasa's gentle reprimand, knowing he had spoiled Eremi a bit too much. But when he glanced down at his daughter, her face still beaming with joy, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance to share such a simple, joyful experience with the little girl who had stolen his heart from the moment she was born.
As they finally arrived home and dismounted from the horse, Eremi clutched her new bunny tightly against her chest, a smile of pure happiness on her face. As they made their way inside, Eren knew that he would treasure this memory forever — a precious moment of love and laughter shared between him and his beloved daughter.
When they finally entered home, Eren braced himself for Mikasa's reaction. She raised an eyebrow as she noticed Eremi clutching the new stuffed bunny and licking remnants of ice cream from the corner of her mouth.
"Eren, what have you been up to?" Mikasa asked, her tone teasing but affectionate.
Eren grinned sheepishly. "I might have spoiled her a little," he admitted, glancing at Eremi, who was now giggling and showing off her new toy. Eren sheepishly scratched the back of his head, unable to hide his guilty smile. "I couldn't resist, Mikasa. You know how she gets with those puppy eyes."
Mikasa shook her head with a fond smile. "You're impossible," she said, but there was a glint of amusement in her eyes.
Eremi, oblivious to the exchange, ran up to Mikasa and held out her toy proudly. "Look, Mama! Bunny!"
Mikasa's expression softened as she ruffled Eremi's hair. "It's adorable, sweetheart," she replied, exchanging a knowing look with Eren.
As Eren watched his wife and daughter interact, he felt a surge of gratitude for the beautiful family they had created. Despite his penchant for spoiling Eremi, he knew that their love and laughter were the true treasures that made every moment worth cherishing.
Mikasa
With Eren taking the boys to visit his parents for the day, Mikasa seized the opportunity to have a special "mommy and daughter" date with Eremi. As the boys excitedly waved goodbye from the carriage with their father, Mikasa turned to Eremi with a bright smile once the boys were out of sight.
"Shall we have some fun together, Eremi?" Mikasa asked, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
Eremi clapped her hands, her face lighting up with joy. "Yes, Mama!"
Mikasa grabbed Eremi’s hand and headed out for a day of adventures. Their first stop was a nearby park, where Mikasa pushed Eremi on the swings and helped her navigate the playground. Eremi's giggles filled the air as she gleefully went down the slide, her tiny hand firmly held by Mikasa's.
After playing to their hearts' content, Mikasa and Eremi stopped by a quaint cafe for a sweet treat. Eremi's eyes widened in delight at the sight of colorful cupcakes and cookies on display.
"Mama, can I have that one?" Eremi pointed excitedly at a cupcake topped with rainbow sprinkles.
Mikasa chuckled, unable to resist her daughter. "Of course, sweetie. Let's get one to share."
They settled into a cozy corner of the cafe, indulging in their treats while chatting and sharing stories. Mikasa listened intently as Eremi animatedly described her latest adventures with her older brothers, her little hands gesturing animatedly.
"Mama, did you know Rin built the tallest tower ever?" Eremi exclaimed, her eyes shining with admiration for her older brother.
Mikasa smiled warmly. "That's amazing, Eremi. Rin is very talented, just like you."
After finishing their snacks, Mikasa and Eremi strolled through a nearby garden, admiring the colorful flowers and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Mikasa took the opportunity to teach Eremi the names of different flowers, her heart swelling with pride as Eremi repeated the names with enthusiasm. She had always found solace in the gardens, a place where she felt connected to her mother despite to never meeting her. But now, she hoped to pass on that same sense of peace and belonging to Eremi.
As Mikasa and Eremi enjoyed their special day out together, they stopped by a small boutique to browse through some clothes. Mikasa was focused on a rack of dresses when a man approached her, flashing a charming smile.
"Hello there, beautiful. Can I help you find something?" the man asked, his tone overly familiar. Mikasa turned to face the man, her brow furrowing slightly as she took in his stylish attire and confident demeanor. She was used to being recognized as the Princess, but something about the man's casual approach suggested that he had no idea who she was. Or was acting like he didn’t?
Mikasa glanced up politely, a hint of caution in her eyes. "No, thank you. We're just looking."
She knew that she was more than capable of defending herself if the need arose—after all, her brother Levi had taught her well during their years together in the military. But with Eremi by her side, her top priority was keeping her daughter safe from harm.
Mikasa couldn't help but wish that she had brought at least one guard along with them, just for added peace of mind. Normally, she preferred to keep their outings as low-key as possible, wanting her kids to experience a sense of freedom and spontaneity without constantly feeling under watch.
Eremi, who had been exploring nearby, suddenly appeared at Mikasa's side, eyeing the man suspiciously. Sensing her daughter's wariness, Mikasa smiled reassuringly at Eremi.
But the man seemed undeterred by Mikasa's polite dismissal. "You two look like you're having a great time. Maybe I can treat you to a coffee sometime?" he suggested, his gaze lingering on Mikasa.
Eremi's expression turned serious, her little brows furrowing. "I don't like you," she declared bluntly, stepping protectively closer to her mother.
The man chuckled nervously, clearly caught off guard by Eremi's straightforward response. "Oh, come on, sweetheart. I'm just being friendly," he said, attempting to brush off Eremi's disapproval.
Eremi shook her head adamantly. "No, I don't want you to talk to my mama. I'm going to tell my Daddy to punch you!" she exclaimed, her voice rising in defiance. Mikasa felt a surge of pride at her daughter's perceptiveness and bravery. Despite her tender age, Eremi was astute beyond her years.
Mikasa stifled a laugh, both amused and touched by her daughter's fierce protectiveness. "Eremi, it's okay," she reassured, placing a comforting hand on Eremi's shoulder.
The man, now looking slightly uncomfortable, took a step back. "I think I'll leave you two to your shopping then," he said hastily, retreating from the scene.
As Eremi excitedly returned home with Mikasa from their outing, she couldn't wait to share every detail of their day with her father, the delicious aroma of Eren's cooking greeted them, filling the air with its comforting scent. Bursting with enthusiasm, Eremi ran up to Eren, who was in the dining room sorting through some papers on the table while the boys were at the living room playing on the rug with their toys.
"Daddy, guess what?" Eremi exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement.
Eren looked up, a warm smile spreading across his face at the sight of his daughter. "Hey there, princess. What's up?"
Eremi's expression turned serious as she leaned in closer to Eren, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "There was a man smiling at Mama today," she revealed, her tone filled with innocent curiosity.
Eren's smile faltered slightly, a flicker of concern crossing his features. "Oh? Really ?" he asked, trying to keep his tone casual. Eren's expression shifted, his brows furrowing slightly. He exchanged a glance with Mikasa, who playfully rolled her eyes at Eremi for being a snitch. Eren's protective instincts flared up at the thought of someone else showing interest in his wife, trying to mask his jealousy with a neutral face.
Eremi shrugged. "Mama just smiled back, but I didn't like it," she confessed, her brows furrowing in a miniature frown.
Mikasa, who had been listening nearby, stepped in with a gentle laugh. "Eremi, honey, Daddy doesn't need to worry," she said, shooting Eren an amused glance, then went to greet her boys, who greeted her back.
Eren tried to play it off with a smile, but Eremi's innocent observation had stirred up an unexpected pang of jealousy within him. "Of course not," he replied, though his tone lacked its usual easy confidence.
Mikasa shot Eren a knowing look, understanding the cause of his unease. "It was just a friendly smile on my part, Eren," she assured him, her voice gentle.
Eren nodded, trying to shake off the irrational feeling. "I know," he replied, forcing a smile.
Mikasa stepped in, gently guiding Eremi away to give Eren a chance to cool down. "Why don't you go wash up for dinner, Eremi?" Mikasa suggested, shooting Eren a meaningful look.
As Eremi skipped off to the bathroom, Mikasa turned to Eren, her expression a mix of amusement and understanding. "Eren, you know Eremi is just a curious little girl. I'm sure the guy meant nothing," she reassured him.
Eren crossed his arms, his pout evident despite his efforts to appear unaffected. "I know, but... I don't like the idea of other guys smiling at you," he admitted, his voice tinged with possessiveness.
Mikasa chuckled softly, stepping closer to Eren and placing a hand on his arm. "I'm yours, Eren. You have nothing to worry about," she said, her eyes warm with affection. She then wrapped her arms around Eren’s neck, pressing a kiss to his pouty lips. "Thank you for having dinner ready, love. It smells delicious."
Eren’s softened and returned her embrace, his heart swelling with love for his wife. "It's my pleasure, babe. I thought you would be tired."
Later that day, Mikasa tucked Eremi into bed, brushing a gentle hand over her daughter's soft hair. As she watched Eremi drift off to sleep, Mikasa felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the precious moments they had shared together — a reminder of the deep bond between mother and daughter, one that would only grow stronger with time.
With a soft smile on her lips, Mikasa quietly whispered, "I love you, Eremi," before leaving the room, her heart full of love and contentment.
After tucking Eremi into bed and Eren the boys, the man of the house sat on the edge of their own bed, frowning to himself. He was already in his sweatpants and shirtless, ready for bed. Mikasa exits their bathroom, her expression a mixture of amusement and exasperation upon seeing him.
Mikasa, having changed into her nightgown, noticed her husband's lingering tension. She sighed softly, a small, amused smile playing on her lips as she approached him. Standing in front of Eren, she gently placed her hands on his shoulders, looking down at him with a mixture of affection and exasperation. "Eren, are you still thinking about that?" Mikasa asked with a soft sigh.
Eren glanced up, his jealousy evident in his eyes. "It just bothers me, Mikasa," he admitted, his voice tinged with frustration. "I trust you, love. It's just... well, you know how I get," he admitted, his voice softening as he met her gaze.
Mikasa couldn't suppress her amusement any longer. She chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with affection. Mikasa shook her head slightly, her fingers tracing soothing circles on his shoulders. "Eren, after all these years, you still get jealous?" she teased gently. "We've been married for a while now and we've known each other our whole lives. There's no need for you to feel insecure."
Eren sighed, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips. Eren let out a heavy sigh, his shoulders relaxing slightly under her touch. "I know, I know. It's just... you mean everything to me, Mikasa. I can't help but feel protective. Knowing my wife is hot as hell and someone else shows interest in her just brought up all these old insecurities. I can't stand the thought of losing you."
Mikasa felt a warmth inside of her, hearing he still finds her attractive after four kids, makes her heart soar.
She knelt down in front of him, bringing her face level with his. She cupped his cheek in her hand, her thumb brushing gently against his skin. "Eren, you will never lose me to another man. We've been through so much together, and our bond is stronger than anything.” Mikasa leaned in to kiss his lips, her touch soothing and loving. "And you mean everything to me, Eren. But you have nothing to worry about. I love you, and only you."
Eren sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping. "I know, but still..."
Mikasa leaned in, pressing another kiss. "Let it go, love. It was nothing," she urged gently.
Then standing up, she reached up and slowly slipped the spaghetti straps of her thin nightgown, letting it slip like slik off her body. Eren watched, mesmerized, as the fabric began to slip away from her body.
With one swift motion, the nightgown pooled around her ankles, leaving her bare, standing before him. Eren's breath hitched in his throat as he took in the sight of her. His wife was beautiful, more beautiful than ever.
Mikasa climbed onto the bed, straddling Eren's lap as she leaned in to kiss him.
She sure made him forget about the man that night.
Rin
One sunny afternoon, Mikasa found herself in the living room, trying to multitask with Eremi, who was toddling around with her toys, while also tending to some household chores. Rin, their responsible and caring six-year-old son, was playing nearby, occasionally glancing over to make sure his little sister was staking the wooden blocks right.
"Careful, Eremi," Rin instructed patiently, guiding his little sister's tiny hands as she stacked the blocks. "Like this."
Eremi looked up at her older brother with adoring eyes, eager to emulate his every move. "Like this, Rin-y?" she asked, her voice soft and sweet.
The six-year-old smiled warmly, his brotherly instincts kicking in. "That's right, Eremi. Good job," he praised gently, his eyes never leaving her.
Mikasa, who had been observing the interaction with a tender smile, couldn't help but feel a swell of pride at her son's maturity and kindness towards his younger sister. Rin had always been a caring and responsible boy, but his devotion to Eremi was especially heartwarming.
As the afternoon sun streamed through the windows, Mikasa decided to make a snack for the children. "Rin-Rin, could you help me keep an eye on Eremi while I prepare some sandwiches?" she asked, knowing full well that Rin would eagerly agree.
Rin nodded eagerly, taking his role as protector seriously. "Yes, Mom," he replied, a hint of pride in his voice.
Mikasa smiled gratefully at her son before heading into the kitchen. As she busied herself with sandwich-making, she could hear snippets of Rin's gentle instructions and Eremi's delighted giggles from the living room.
"Let's play a game, Eremi," Rin suggested, his voice filled with gentleness.
Mikasa peeked out from the kitchen to see Rin setting up a game of peek-a-boo with Eremi, who clapped her hands in excitement. It warmed Mikasa's heart to see how patient and attentive Rin was with his little sister.
After a while, Mikasa emerged from the kitchen with a tray of sandwiches and juice boxes. Rin and Eremi paused their game, their faces lighting up at the sight of the snacks.
"Snack time!" Mikasa announced cheerfully, setting down the tray on the coffee table.
Rin helped Eremi settle down on the floor, making sure she had her juice box within reach. "Here you go, Eremi," he said kindly, handing her a sandwich.
Suddenly, the four-year-old twins came from outside. The troublemaker bounded over from the couch (Mikasa quickly reprimanded him) and the calm one quietly sat in front of the coffee table. They peered curiously at Rin and Eremi.
"What are you two doing?" Sae asked, his eyes bright with interest as he took a bite of his snack.
"We're building a tower," Rin replied proudly, casting a glance at his younger siblings.
Shidou grinned mischievously. "Can we help too?"
Rin hesitated for a moment, knowing his little brother was sometimes rough while playing and he didn’t want to get in trouble if one of them get hurt, especially his little sister. Rin sighs and Mikasa finds it so amusing how her kids are so mature for for their own good.
"Okay, but be gentle with Eremi," Rin instructed firmly, taking on the role of the responsible older brother.
The twins nodded eagerly, joining Rin and Eremi in their play. As the room filled with laughter and the sound of children's voices, Mikasa felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the beautiful chaos of their family life—the way her children cared for and looked out for one another, a testament to the love that bound them together.
Twins
Eren worked in the kitchen, tightening up the cupboards since Mikasa had complained about them being a bit loose. The sound of laughter and little footsteps echoed through the house when suddenly, there was a loud yelp followed by Eremi's cries of pain. Without a moment's hesitation, Eren dropped what he was doing and rushed towards the commotion in the living room.
He found Eremi sitting on the floor, tears streaming down her cheeks, clutching her scraped knee. Nearby stood the four-year-old Sae and Shidou, their expressions a mix of surprise and guilt.
"Eremi, sweetie , what happened?" Eren asked, his voice filled with concern as he knelt down beside his daughter.
"She fell down," Sae explained quickly, his eyes wide.
"It was an accident, Daddy," Shidou added, looking equally distressed.
Eren gently scooped Eremi into his arms, comforting her with soothing words. "It's okay, princess. Daddy's here," he murmured, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Meanwhile, Mikasa appeared in the doorway with a basket of laundry, a knowing smile playing on her lips as she observed the scene. "What happened here?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement, setting the basket down.
Eren sighed, casting a meaningful look at Sae and Shidou. "It looks like the boys accidentally bumped into Eremi," he explained, his tone gentle but firm.
Mikasa chuckled softly. "Boys, be more careful next time," she said, her eyes twinkling with maternal warmth while grabbing her daughter from her husband, and taking her to the kitchen to nurse her scrape.
Sae and Shidou nodded solemnly, their expressions contrite. "Sorry, Eremi," they mumbled in unison, exchanging guilty glances.
Eren turned back to Eremi, inspecting her scraped knee with a tender touch. "Let's clean this up, okay?" he said softly, his voice a soothing presence amid the chaos.
Mikasa tended to Eremi's scraped knee on the kitchen island, calming her sobs with gentle reassurances. Once Eremi had settled down, Eren turned his attention back to Sae and Shidou.
"Boys, accidents happen, but we need to be more careful when we're playing, especially around your sister," Eren said, his tone a blend of fatherly concern and authority.
Sae and Shidou nodded again, their eyes downcast but filled with understanding. "We're sorry, Daddy," they mumbled in unison once more.
Eren smiled, ruffling their hair affectionately. "Alright, let's all be more mindful next time," he said, his gaze shifting to Eremi, who pouted and extended her arms toward him. Eren falls into his daughter’s charms and coos at her while hugging her.
Mikasa rolls her eyes without any heat at her husband as she turns to take the laundry to the line – Eren can’t stand seeing his little girl sad.
Sae
One sunny afternoon in the Yeager household, Sae, sat quietly beside his little sister, who was playing with her dolls. Sae had always been known for his reserved nature, much like his uncle Levi. Despite his quiet demeanor, Sae had a unique way of showing his love for his sister.
Eren observed the scene from across the room, a fond smile playing on his lips as he watched Sae carefully arrange Eremi's dolls in a neat row. Mikasa joined Eren, her eyes twinkling with amusement and affection, Mikasa seated on his lap. Eren leaned back, getting his wife lean back with him, hearing his other two boys playing outside.
"Look at Sae," Eren whispered, nodding towards their son.
Mikasa chuckled softly. "Dad says Sae is just like Levi when he was his age — quiet but surprisingly thoughtful," she remarked, her voice filled with warmth.
Sae glanced up, catching his parents' eyes, and offered them a small, shy smile before returning his attention to Eremi. He reached out to adjust one of her doll's dresses, his movements precise and deliberate.
Eremi giggled, delighted by her brother's attention. "Thank you, Sae," the two-year-old said sweetly, her eyes shining with admiration for her older brother.
Sae nodded solemnly, his expression serious yet affectionate. He continued to arrange the dolls, occasionally casting a glance at Eremi.
"He's definitely taking after Uncle Levi," Eren remarked with a chuckle, his heart swelling with pride for his son.
Mikasa nodded in agreement, her gaze fixed on Sae. "He may not express it openly, but Sae has a big heart, just like his uncle – Levi used to play with me like that too," she said with a laugh, her eyes never leaving her babies.
"I know, right? Even at such a young age, he's got that same serious air about him," he replied, sharing in Mikasa's amusement.
As Sae continued to interact with Eremi in his reserved yet attentive manner, Eren couldn't help but marvel at the unique bond that existed between their children — a bond that transcended their individual personalities and mirrored the deep connections within their family.
"He really cares about her," Mikasa observed, her gaze fixed on their children.
Eren nodded in agreement. "In his own way, he's showing his love for his little sister," he replied a hint of pride in his voice.
Meanwhile, Sae remained focused on Eremi, occasionally offering her a small smile or nod of encouragement. Eremi, sensing her brother's quiet affection, responded with bright giggles and animated chatter.
Shidou
One sunny afternoon, Mikasa and Eren were sitting on another swing Eren built for the backyard as their other four-year-old twin son, Shidou, embarked on one of his characteristic adventures with Eremi. Shidou was a whirlwind of energy, his brown hair tousled and his green eyes bright with excitement. While Rin and Sae were playing at the sandbox, quietly .
"Eremi, come on! Let's explore behind the tree and find treasure!" Shidou exclaimed, tugging his sister along with him.
Mikasa and Eren exchanged amused glances, their hearts warmed by Shidou's boundless enthusiasm and his protective demeanor toward his younger sister.
"Your mom says Shidou is just like you were when you were his age," Mikasa remarked, a fond smile playing on her lips as she watched Shidou lead Eremi on their imaginary quest.
Eren chuckled a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. "He really is a little copy of me, isn't he?" he replied, unable to hide his pride.
As Shidou and Eremi scampered around the tree’s roots, Mikasa and Eren reminisced about Eren's own childhood adventures — his wild spirit and fearless curiosity that had often led him into all sorts of mischief.
Mikasa observed, her eyes following Shidou's every move.
Eren nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "I suppose he's inherited more than just my looks," he mused, watching as Shidou showed Eremi how to climb a low tree branch.
As the afternoon sun dipped lower in the sky, Shidou proudly presented Eremi with a handful of "treasures" he had gathered — a mix of rocks, leaves, and a shiny marble he had found hidden in the garden. There were probably even dead bugs in there too.
"Look, Eremi! I found all these cool things for us!" Shidou exclaimed, beaming with excitement.
Eremi clapped her hands, her eyes sparkling with admiration for her adventurous older brother. Mikasa and Eren couldn't help but smile at the sight — the uncanny resemblance between Shidou's exuberant gestures and Eren's own childhood antics was both endearing and heartwarming.
Suddenly, Shidou stopped in his tracks, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He crouched down and began to gather dandelion flowers from the grass, his little fingers working deftly.
"What's he up to now?" Eren wondered aloud, intrigued by Shidou's latest endeavor.
The parents watched with curiosity as Shidou carefully arranged the dandelion flowers into a makeshift bouquet. Eremi, observing her brother with wide eyes, toddled over to see what he was doing.
Shidou stood up proudly, presenting the bouquet to Eremi with a beaming smile. "For you, Eremi!" he declared, his eyes sparkling with affection.
Eremi's face lit up with delight, her chubby hands reaching out to accept the bouquet. Mikasa and Eren exchanged a look of silent understanding, both touched by Shidou's sweet gesture.
"That was so cute," Mikasa fawned, her voice filled with maternal warmth.
Eren nodded, a proud grin spreading across his face. "Just like I did with you," he replied, the resemblance between father and son strikingly evident. He turned his face to see his wife, who had a small blush as she remembered that one time Eren picked wildflowers for her.
As Shidou continued to entertain Eremi with his imaginative play, Mikasa and Eren sat together on the porch swing, their hearts full of love and nostalgia. Watching Shidou's antics reminded them of their own childhood memories, and they couldn't help but marvel at the way their son mirrored Eren's adventurous spirit.
"He's a handful, but I wouldn't have it any other way," Eren said, his eyes fixed on Shidou with a mixture of amusement and pride.
Mikasa leaned her head against Eren's shoulder, a contented smile playing on her lips. "Neither would I," she agreed softly, her gaze lingering on their children — a testament to the enduring legacy of love and family that defined their lives.
As evening approached, Mikasa and Eren called their children inside for dinner, Shidou proudly leading the way with Eremi close behind. Amidst the chaos and joy of parenthood, Mikasa and Eren cherished these moments — watching their children grow and seeing echoes of their own selves reflected in the next generation.
As they settled down for dinner, Shidou regaled them with tales of his backyard expedition, his eyes shining with excitement. Mikasa glanced at Eren, her heart swelling with gratitude for the beautiful family they had created together — a family filled with laughter, adventure, and boundless love, all encapsulated in the spirited antics of their little boy who was every bit a mirror image of his father.
Bring your daughter to work
It was a rare occasion for Eren to bring his young daughter to his office, Sasha was out sick, his mother and father were on vacation, Zeke was out of the country, and Mikasa already had her hands full with the boys. His wife suggested bringing his princess with him, so he decided to make it a special "daddy-daughter work day." As they entered the bustling headquarters of the militia, Eremi clutched her father's hand, her eyes wide with curiosity.
Eren's colleagues and subordinates, accustomed to his serious demeanor, couldn't help but smile when they saw him accompanied by his adorable daughter. Murmurs of "She's so cute!" and "Look at her little dress!" floated through the air as Eren led Eremi through the office.
Eremi, oblivious to the attention she was garnering, gazed around with wonder at the busy environment. Eren's heart swelled with pride as he introduced Eremi to his team, her tiny hand waving shyly at everyone she met.
"Everyone, this is my daughter, Eremi," Eren announced with a proud smile, his normally stoic expression softening as he looked down at her.
His subordinates couldn't hide their delight, and soon Eremi was surrounded by cooing admirers, each vying for a chance to chat with the boss's precious little girl. Eren watched with amusement as his colleagues fawned over Eremi, their tough exteriors melting in her presence.
"Eremi, would you like to see Daddy's desk?" Eren asked, guiding her through the maze of desks and workstations.
Eremi nodded enthusiastically, her eyes shining with excitement. Eren led her to his office, where he proudly showed off his desk covered with paperwork and books. Eremi, in awe of her father's workspace, reached out to climb the chair with curiosity.
Eren chuckled, feeling a sense of joy at being able to share this special moment with his daughter. As the day progressed, Eremi charmed everyone with her innocence and enthusiasm, bringing a lighthearted energy to the typically serious environment.
At lunchtime, Eren took Eremi to the office cafeteria, where they shared a meal together amidst friendly banter and laughter from his colleagues. Eren couldn't help but feel a swell of pride as he watched Eremi interact with his team, her presence brightening the entire office.
As the day drew to a close, Eren gathered his things to head home, Eremi tucked securely in his arms. "Thank you for coming to work with Daddy today, Eremi," he said, his voice filled with affection.
Eremi beamed up at him, her eyes sparkling. "I had so much fun, Daddy!" she exclaimed, hugging him tightly.
Once home, Eremi tiredly came through the door with Eren right behind her. Her brothers greeted her from the kitchen table, they were drawing, she ran towards them and began drawing too.
"So, how was your day with Eremi at the office?" Mikasa asked, her eyes sparkling with interest as she prepared dinner. He comes from behind her and greets her with a soft kiss on her neck.
"It was awesome, love. Seeing Eremi brighten up the office with her presence was priceless. Everyone couldn't get enough of her."
Mikasa chuckled softly, imagining the scene. "I bet she stole the show," she remarked fondly.
Eren nodded a proud glint in his eyes, hugging her tighter. "Absolutely. She was so curious about everything and made friends with everyone she met," he explained, his voice tinged with fatherly pride.
Mikasa's smile widened as she listened to Eren recount the highlights of their day. "I'm glad you both had a great time," she said sincerely, her gaze softening as she stirred the food in the pan.
Panicked Eren
Upon arriving home, Eren burst through the front door, his eyes wide with panic. Mikasa, startled by Eren's sudden and urgent arrival, was with the boys in the living room.
"Eren, what's wrong?" Mikasa asked, her voice tinged with concern, standing up to meet him.
Eren took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "What happened? Is it the kids? Are they okay?" he asked frantically, his mind racing as his eyes scanned the living room, only seeing three of his children.
His heart dropped.
Mikasa was confused for a second before placing a calming hand on Eren's arm, her expression softening. "Eremi's okay, Eren. She's just running a fever – she is in her room resting," she reassured him, her voice gentle.
Eren exhaled in relief, his shoulders sagging with the weight of his anxiety. "Thank goodness," he murmured, his voice filled with gratitude. “I thought something terrible had happened when you sent the guard to the Palace," he admitted, feeling slightly embarrassed by his overreaction.
(The Yeagers had a couple of guards stationed a few ways from the cabin in case of emergencies so they could alert the Palace.)
Mikasa smiled sympathetically, understanding Eren's concern. "I'm sorry for worrying you, Eren. Eremi feels ill and she needs extra attention tonight – I wanted you to stay with the boys while I attend to your daughter," she reassured him, her touch comforting, her eyes meeting Eren's with understanding.
Eren nodded gratefully, his worry dissipating. "Of course, Mikasa. I'll take care of the boys. You focus on Eremi," he said firmly, his determination resurfacing. But let me see my baby first.”
Mikasa smiled and knew Eren would want to do that. So she led Eren to Eremi’s room, where he found Eremi resting on her little bed, her cheeks flushed with fever. Eren knelt beside her, brushing a gentle hand over her forehead.
"Hey, baby girl. Daddy's here," Eren said softly, his voice soothing.
Eremi looked up at him with tired eyes, a weak smile forming on her lips. "Hi, Daddy," she whispered.
His heart clenched with pain, seeing his little princess ill. “I am so sorry that you are not feeling well, sweetheart.”
As Eren sat beside his sick daughter, he couldn't help but feel a pang of helplessness. Seeing her flushed cheeks and tired eyes, his heart ached with a deep desire to protect her from any discomfort or pain.
Eremi glanced up at Eren, her small hand reaching out to touch his face. "Daddy, why do I feel yucky?" she asked in a soft voice, her brows furrowing with confusion.
Eren's gaze softened as he gently brushed Eremi's hair away from her forehead. "It's just a little fever, honey," he replied reassuringly, though inwardly, he wished he could do more.
At that moment, Eren's thoughts drifted to the immense love he held for his daughter. If only he possessed the power to shield her from any harm, to take away her pain and bear it himself. He imagined himself trading places with her, willing to endure any discomfort if it meant sparing Eremi even the slightest discomfort.
"Eremi, you're so strong," Eren murmured, his voice tinged with emotion. "But if I could, I would take away your yucky feeling and make you all better."
Eremi blinked up at her father, her eyes filled with trust and innocence. "Can you make it go away, Daddy?" she asked hopefully.
Eren's heart clenched at her words, his determination to protect her strengthening. "I'll do everything I can to help you feel better, sweetheart," he promised, his voice unwavering.
A few hours later, Eren stood behind Mikasa in their daughter’s room, he wrapped his arms around her waist, grateful to see Eremi starting to recover from her illness. Eremi was propped up in bed, looking a bit pale but with a small smile on her face as she watched her brothers approach.
Rin walked in first with a gentle expression. "Hey, Eremi. How are you feeling?" he asked softly, sitting down on the edge of her bed.
Eremi's eyes brightened at the sight of her brother. "I'm feeling better, Rin-y," she replied, her voice still a bit weak.
Sae entered the room next, holding the bunny plush that Eremi loved. He shyly handed it to her. "I thought you might want Mr. Bunny to keep you company," he said, a small smile tugging at his lips.
Eremi's face lit up with joy as she hugged the plush toy tightly. "Thank you, Sae. I love Mr. Bunny," she exclaimed, her voice filled with happiness.
Meanwhile, Shidou bounded into the room last, holding a colorful drawing. "Look what I made for you, Eremi!" he exclaimed, holding up the drawing of their family and cabin, he made sure to draw her holding Mr. Bunny.
Eremi giggled, her eyes twinkling with delight. "It's so cool, Shidou! Thank you," she replied gratefully.
Mikasa and Eren watched with tender smiles as their sons each brought their own unique brand of comfort to their little sister. Eren squeezed Mikasa's waist gently, feeling a swell of love and pride for their family.
"They are so sweet to her," Mikasa whispered, her eyes soft with emotion.
Eren nodded, his heart overflowing with gratitude. "They're good brothers," he replied quietly, his voice filled with affection.
Together, they stood in silent unity, basking in the warmth of their children's love as their sons continued to cheer up their little sister, Eren pressed a gentle kiss to Mikasa's cheek, silently conveying his love and appreciation for everything they had built together.
His arms wrapped securely around her waist, drawing comfort from her presence amidst the joyful chaos of their family.
Mikasa's laughter was a melody that echoed in Eren's heart — a sound that never failed to stir a deep sense of love and gratitude within him. Her eyes sparkled with warmth and affection as she watched Rin, Sae, Shidou, and Eremi – their voices mingling in harmonious cute conversation.
Eren couldn't help but marvel at Mikasa's beauty — the way her smile lit up the room, casting a radiant glow over their children's faces. He hugged her tighter from behind, his gaze fixed on the woman who had given him the greatest gifts of all — their sons and daughter.
This incredible woman beside him had borne and nurtured their children, filling their lives with boundless love and unwavering devotion.
"You're amazing, Mikasa," Eren murmured softly into her ear, his voice filled with reverence.
Mikasa turned to him, her eyes meeting his with a mixture of affection. "Thank you – you too. We're in this together, Eren," she replied, her voice a gentle reminder of their shared journey as parents.
Eren nodded, his heart overflowing with love for the family they had created together. He pressed a tender kiss to Mikasa's lips, a silent gesture of gratitude for all that she was to him and their children.
As Eren and Mikasa settled into their bed after putting their children to sleep, making sure Eremi was feeling better, and the house quieted into a peaceful calm. They lay side by side, their fingers intertwined, relishing the rare moments of solitude together.
"I can't believe how quickly time has flown by," Eren murmured, breaking the silence as he stared up at the ceiling.
Mikasa turned to him, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I know. It feels like just yesterday we were kids ourselves," she replied wistfully.
Eren chuckled softly, a nostalgic twinkle in his eyes. "Remember when we used to sneak out of the Palace to explore the woods with Armin?" he recalled, his voice tinged with amusement.
Mikasa's eyes lit up with fond memories. "And that time we got caught by your parents and they gound you?" she added with a laugh.
Eren grinned, the memory vivid in his mind. "Good times," he replied, shaking his head in amusement.
Their conversation drifted through the years, from their teenage escapades to the challenges and joys of adulthood. They reminisce about their wedding day, the excitement of moving into their home, and the unforgettable moments of welcoming each of their children into the world.
"I never imagined we'd have such an amazing family," Eren mused, his gaze softening as he looked at Mikasa.
Mikasa reached over to caress his cheek, her touch gentle. "We've been through so much together, Eren," she said quietly. "I couldn't ask for a better partner to navigate life's journey with."
Eren's heart swelled with love for his wife. "And I couldn't ask for a better wife and mother for our four beautiful kids," he replied sincerely.
Mikasa turned to him, a mischievous glint in her eyes. " Five kids," she replied, her tone teasing.
Eren furrowed his brow, momentarily confused. "Five kids? Mikasa, we have Rin, Sae, Shidou, and Eremi... that's four ," he said, counting them on his fingers.
Mikasa bit her lip to suppress a giggle, thoroughly enjoying Eren's puzzled expression. "You forgot one," she said playfully.
Eren's eyes widened in realization as he stared at Mikasa. It dawned on him, and a delighted smile spread across his face. " Wait ... you mean..." he started, his voice filled with excitement.
Mikasa nodded, unable to contain her own smile. "Yes, Eren. We're going to have another baby," she announced, her eyes sparkling with joy.
Eren's heart swelled with overwhelming happiness as he processed the wonderful news. " Another baby?" he exclaimed, a mixture of surprise and elation in his voice.
Mikasa laughed at his reaction, her laughter ringing through the room. "Yes, another little one to join our family," she confirmed, her expression radiant.
Eren couldn't contain his joy as he pulled Mikasa into a tight embrace, his heart overflowing with love for his wife and the growing family they shared. "I can't believe it," he murmured, his voice filled with wonder.
Mikasa nestled into his embrace, her hand resting on her belly where their precious baby grew. "We're going to be parents again," she whispered, her eyes shining with happiness. Mikasa laughed, her heart swelling with love for her husband and their growing family. "I wanted to surprise you," she explained, her voice filled with affection.
Eren kissed Mikasa tenderly, overwhelmed with gratitude and love. "Best surprise ever," he murmured against her lips.
As Eren and Mikasa reveled in the news of their upcoming addition, Eren whispered softly to Mikasa, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"I hope it's another girl," Eren murmured, his voice filled with excitement. "Eremi needs a little sister to play with."
Mikasa's expression shifted from joy to amusement, knowing all too well how Eren doted on their daughter. She chuckled softly before shaking her head.
"I'm not so sure about that, Eren," Mikasa replied, her tone teasing. "You already spoil Eremi enough. I can't imagine what it would be like with two daughters."
Eren grinned unabashedly, unfazed by Mikasa's gentle warning. "Oh, come on, Mikasa," he countered playfully. "I promise I'll be a responsible father... maybe."
Mikasa rolled her eyes affectionately, her heart full of love for her husband and their growing family. "We'll see about that," she replied with a laugh.
As the soft glow of moonlight bathed the room, Eren watched Mikasa sleep peacefully beside him, her gentle breathing a soothing rhythm in the quiet of the night. He brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his heart overflowing with love and gratitude.
Leaning closer, Eren whispered tenderly into the darkness, his words meant for Mikasa's slumbering ears. "I love you, Mikasa," he murmured, his voice filled with sincerity. "Thank you for our five incredible kids and for loving me even when I don't think I deserve it."
Eren paused, his gaze lingering on the woman who had been his anchor through life's storms. "Our love, Mikasa," he continued softly, "The Princess and the Doctor's son's love... it prevailed against all odds."
Feeling a profound sense of peace settle over him, Eren pressed a gentle kiss to Mikasa's forehead before settling back into bed, his heart full of gratitude and contentment. As sleep started to claim him, he knew that no matter what challenges awaited them, their love would always be the guiding light that led them through life's journey — a testament to the enduring strength of their bond and the beauty of their shared love story.
Together, Eren and Mikasa had built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As they embraced the beautiful chaos of family life, they knew that their love story was far from over — it was a timeless tale of two souls bound together by fate, destined to conquer any challenge that came their way.
And with that comforting thought, Eren drifted into dreams, knowing that tomorrow would bring new adventures and blessings, all embraced within the cocoon of their unwavering love.
(He did get his second daughter.)
