Chapter 1: Midnight Temptations

Chapter Text

As the engine of his motorcycle roared to life, Luci was off. The cool night air whipping against his skin, leaning into the curves of the road he was familiar with. The thrill of the late night ride coursing through his veins.

But, something was different tonight.

He eyed the flashing blue and red of a patrol car in his rearview mirror, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

He had attracted the attention of the law.

The biker eventually pulled into an empty parking lot, completely devoid of vehicles—Well, considering it was almost three in the morning.

The cackling of the engine slowly died down as the officer got off from his car, approaching the biker by foot. Luci checked the cop out briefly from behind his visor, casually leaning back on his bike, tongue probing at his cheek as his eyes slowly swept over him.

“Good evening, sir,” Cass greeted, hand gripping onto the straps of his holster, taking a quick glance over the bike. He looked up then, meeting the gaze of the person behind the pitch-black visor. “Do you have any idea how fast you were going?”

Luci grinned, albeit covered by his helmet, heart racing as he met Cass’s gaze. His voice was muffled when he replied, tone teasing. “Fast enough to get your attention, officer.”

Cass raised a brow, lips curving up in a half-smirk. “You think this is a game?”

“Maybe,” the biker replied, pulse quickening, the tension between them palpable. He chuckled then, his tone flirtatious as he leaned in closer to the officer. “Or—Maybe I just wanted to see if you could keep up.”

Cass narrowed his eyes, unimpressed by the flirtatious remark. “Save it,” he grunted, voice firm as he took a step closer. “License and registration?”

The biker grinned, eyes sparkling with mischief as he reached into his jacket pocket to retrieve his wallet.

“Officer, I must say,” Luci started, his voice low and teasing as he handed over his license, fingers brushing over him in the process. “You’re quite the sight to see in the middle of the night.”

Cass raised an eyebrow, trying to maintain his composure despite the fluttering warmth blooming in his chest, taking a brief glance at his license. “That’s not going to get you out of a ticket,” he replied, tone firm with a hint of amusement.

Luci chuckled, a sultry smile behind his visor. “Who said I was tryna get out of anything?”

And Cass fell quiet, studying the biker’s license before glancing at him once more. With raised eyebrows, he questioned. “Can you lift up your visor?”

Luci hums, a playful smirk on his lips. “You just want to see my face, isn’t that right, officer?”

Cass tries to ignore the teasing tone, keeping his face neutral. “It’s standard procedure, sir. Don’t get too ahead of yourself.”

The biker grins, lifting his visor up. “Happy now, officer?”

Cass gazes at Luci, momentarily caught off guard by his striking features. “Yes,” he replies, quickly regaining his composure and handing back the license. “Everything seems to be in order, but I’ll need you to slow down in the future, understood?”

“Sure,” the biker drags on, meeting Cass’s gaze head-on. His eyes flash briefly with playfulness. “But what if I don’t want to slow down, officer? What will you do then?”

Cass narrows his eyes, tone turning serious, fingers moving to touch the pair of handcuffs equipped on his belt. He replies then, asking. “Have you ever been handcuffed, sir?”

“That depends, officer,” Luci returned, leaning back onto his bike, tilting his head to the side. “Are we talking about law enforcement wise or something a bit more… intimate?”

Notes:

HmmhMM yes, I know, I haven't updated Ride or Die in like 2 months, works been keeping me busy, so have this instead :)

I honestly don't know when I'm gonna update, but uhm, the draft is done, so all that's left is to edit it—so, soon. After RODL is completed, I'll probably take a break from writing full books if ykwim, and focus on writing one-shots.

Thank you for reading
