Summary:
Together they can redeem both their bloodlines.
Notes:
Happy Day 2 of Haladriel Week! This drabble plays around with today's theme of corruption/deception/redemption. It also runs on the premise that Sauron stabbed himself in the wake of the eruption (I'm really hoping we get that answered one way or another in season 2).

He could feel the poison leeching through the fragile shell of this mortal form. It was a desperate gambit, stabbing himself with the tainted orc spear. He couldn’t risk Galadriel’s suspicion when they were reunited. She was out there, somewhere in the smoke and ash. He could still feel her light; he clung to it as he slowly perished.
Without her he would never cast off his shadowed past. But with her… He would work great wonders, heal Middle Earth of the corruption that flowed through it like the smoke now shrouding these lands. Together, they could both find redemption.
