Chapter Text

Mitsumasa has always held Hana in high regards. He has always admired his strength and convictions. But there has always been something more to him. Something that draws people to him, something that makes them give him their all. And by correlation, makes them want more.

Because people are greedy – to a different level that is, but everyone, Hana included, is greedy. And because people are greedy, sometimes, most of the times, when they really want something, they've got to have it.

And in his case, the thing Mitsumasa wants the most is Hana.

He sighs, leaving the realm of his own thoughts, and takes a look around. He chuckles upon seeing Hana running around, along the trees – climbing them too. Which is, even though it looks silly, really impressive, and quite endearing too. But it's nothing surprising, coming from Hana.

Because Mitsumasa knows he can expect anything from him.

"Hana, I'm going home!" He calls and Hana immediately turns around, which is, again, silly, especially with the way he turns. But it's really lovely too, it means he's always listening.

Hana looks at him for a second before rushing over. He swiftly puts his jacket on and picks up his bag, tidying up.

"What are you doing?" Mitsumasa asks with a curious smile.

"I'll walk you home." Hana smiles.

Mitsumasa blinks, surprised, then smiles before laughing softly, "You don't have to. You can stay here and–"

"No, I want to." Hana says, his face relaxed but his tone serious, sincere, "And it's not like I can't go back after."

Mitsumasa wants to tell him it's not necessary. But the thing is that he wants it more than necessary. So he's not gonna say anything. And he knows Hana wouldn't change his mind even if he tried. Because Hana's gaze tells him he's got no option but to accept. He just smiles – and maybe, maybe, he's blushing a little, "Alright."

They walk in comfortable silence until they get to Mitsumasa's house. Hana stops at the gate. Mitsumasa smiles at his manners, "You don't wanna get in?"

Hana shakes his head, "I wouldn't want to bother."

"You wouldn't."

"Eh, you never know." He shrugs and Mitsumasa laughs. "Okay."

As Mitsumasa reaches for the door, Hana doesn't walk away. He watches him with focused eyes, "Hey, you're just gonna go and not say goodbye?"

Mitsumasa stops and looks at him with raised brows, "Well shit– sorry Hana!" He smiles, sheepish, "See ya?"

Hana frowns. "Mitsumasa."

And the sudden change in Hana's cool demeanor throws him off a little. It's his turn to frown, "What's up?"

Hana seems to be considering things before he pushes the gate open and walks closer to Mitsumasa until they're face to face, close enough to see the light in each other's eye.

Mitsumasa inhales sharply when Hana puts his hands on each of his hips. "I walked you home, what do you say?"

"Uh... Good for you?" Mitsumasa blinks, not really able to focus on anything else but the localized warmth at his sides.

"Right." And Hana suddenly yanks Mitsumasa closer and presses his lips against his.

Mitsumasa gasps, befofe swiftly cupping Hana's face, turning it into a better angle and returning the kiss.

When he pulls back, Hana's cheeks are pink with a small, somewhat shy smile displayed on his face. And he looks adorable. A sudden, and humongous wave of warmth invades Mitsumasa's entire body, he goes for another kiss.

Hana's arms slither around him and into a tight embrace though the kiss, Mitsumasa almost moans.

When he pulls back, he lets his head fall against Hana's forehead. Hana chuckles as he softly brushes two fingers against Mitsumasa's jaw.

"See ya, Mitsumasa!" Hana says, getting out of the embrace and leaving a final kiss on Mitsumasa's cheek.

He jogs back out of the very small front patio, closing the gate behind him. He smiles brightly at Mitsumasa before running down the road, and disappearing around the corner.

When he enters his house, and when his brothers ask him why he's so red, Mitsumasa lies about the weather.

Notes:

Bonus dialogue - stupid idea I had but didn't know how to add it ;

"Hey Masa." Mitsuyoshi calls. Mitsumasa stops in front of his room, looking at him with a small, questioning frown.

"How does it feel?" Mitsuyoshi asks. Mitsumasa grimaces, confused, "Feel what?"

"Feel Suzuran's power."

"Huh?"

Mitsuyoshi takes a drag out of his cigarette, "You got a good taste though."

"What the fuck are you–" Mitsumasa starts but freezes upon seeing his brother's devious smile.

Mitsumasa turns even redder as his brother laughs boastfully.
