"Longest relationship so far?" I asked him. It was almost three in the morning, and we were still talking. His supposed twenty questions have stretched to nearly forty now, damn, we’re acting like teenagers again.
"Damn, I would say I’m the type of guy who will last you a long time."
"That doesn’t answer my question."
"I’m just saying, if you want something long-term, you should be with me."
"Answer."
"6 years."
"Wtf, seriously? Puppy love?"
"From 7th grade up until senior year, yes."
"Wow, okay, I don't want to pry anymore, mine was just 2 years because I don’t know, maybe I’m the toxic one."
"Hahaha, it’s fine. It was all in the past. 2 years is also long, and if you were really toxic, I don’t think someone would stick around for 2 years."
"Oh trust me, you don’t know the legendary martyrs out there."
"Cute, I think we’ll do fine."
"Pass, study first + strict parents."
"I can wait for you, and I’ll win your parents’ hearts with my financial stability."

"Then congrats, you’re at the finish line. HAHAHA WHO'S TURN IS IT TO ASK, we’re just flirting here." I couldn’t help but giggle after sending that message, this guy is such a flirt who grew with a body.
"Alright, who was the last person you texted?"
"Really? You’re asking me that? Hahahaha, the last person I texted was... you. I’m not much into texting, usually I call with my fam. My texts with friends are occasional. When I feel like checking on them, like ‘hey, are you still alive?’ stuff like that."
"You really are so funny, I’m honored to be the last person you texted. If you’re not into texting, then would you permit us to call?"
"Pass, study first + strict parents." Just one more push from him, and I’ll say yes.
"Awe, just for a little while po?"
"You did it, you got an ‘opo’ from me. HAHAHA why, be careful, you might eventually fall in love, and then poor me the line for my awaiting suitors will get longer again."
"So what if I fall in love? We’re both single, I don’t think there’s an issue. Even if the line is long, I’m willing to wait." Damn, so tempting. My cheeks are starting to hurt from smiling so much.
"You’re cute, how can I resist? But we’ll call tomorrow, I need to sleep now, I have class tomorrow. We’re not even together yet, but you’re already keeping me up late, tsktsk."
"Sleepy na? Goodnight, I’ll be sure to greet you in the morning and wait for the call. Hahaha. I’m sorry, talking with you excites me a lot. I hope you have a nice sleep."
"You’re so cute, good night." And another person went to sleep with a smile on their face. He better keep this up, if he ghosts me tomorrow, I’ll really report him.
