Work Text:
Chuuya took a breath, staring at Dazai with a look of irritation on his face. “No.” He said simply, looking at the man before him. “I have work today, i’m not coming into the agency with you for this stupid ‘bring your pet to work day’. Now, if you want a pet to take in, take Mackerel.” Chuuya said coldly, glaring at the lead and collar in the taller man's hands.
Dazai hummed, thinking for a movement. “That cat actively wants me dead, more than I do.” He said with a whine, which caused Chuuya to roll his eyes, glancing at the time. If he didn’t leave soon he’d be late.
“Fantastic! I knew you’d love him.” Chuuya said, grabbing his hat as his voice filled with annoyance at Dazai’s pleading face, then a sound of a number being filled filled the room.
“Mori! Can I have my Chibi for the day?” Dazai’s voice echoed in Chuuya’s ears. The ginger man took a breath and closed his eyes, trying to hear what the man on the other end of the phone was saying. Chuuya prayed to every god, including the one inside him, that his boss would finally say ‘no’ to one of Dazai Osamu’s outrageous requests. “Yes, Mori~ Chibi will be working, yes, yes, just at the ada. Is that okay with you?”
Chuuya knew his paires had not been answered when he was met with Dazai’s grin of triumph. Chuuya’s shoulders dropped and a silent tear of anger and embarrassment slid down his cheek. Dazai had won. His boss had no spine. This was the end of Chuuya’s life as he knew it. “Chibi~ Guess what~” Dazao cooed, making Chuuya want to burst out crying in disappointment, however he held it in.
“I am not wearing a fucking collar.” Chuuya hissed, eyes narrowed in a glare at Dazai’s outrageous requests and to himself and the mafia boss. This happened way too much and Chuuya was starting to regret giving Dazai a proper place to live… and he also was starting to regret saying ‘I do’.
The burnette sighed. “But Chibi!” He whined like a child who was trying to ask their mother for something but was getting refused due to how expensive that item is. It’s giving ‘But whyyyy!?’ Chuuya shook the thought away as Dazai continued to speak. “You have to wear it, Chibi! Dogs have to have their collars and leads on in public, be glad I didn’t get you a muzzle.”
Chuuya had to stop himself from punching Dazai. “Dazai-Nakahara Osamu, if you make me wear that I will kick you onto the couch for the next week and change the lock to the bedroom.” Chuuya threatened, hoping Dazai would drop it, but it didn't work.

Chuuya followed behind Dazai, the ginger's head hung low and his eyes glazed over with disappointment. He was just like Mori. He had given in. He was disappointed in himself. Chuuya couldn’t bear to look at anymore as they entered the agency, the neon red lead attached to the matching collar around his neck being the source of his shame.
“Dazai, why is there another Mafioso here?” Kunikida asked, not surprised that Dazai had brought Chuuya in. “And let him off the god-danmed lead!”
Chuuya silently thanked the man with dirty blonde hair, once the lead was removed Chuuya looked up, looking around and his eyes locking on Akutagawa who was sitting awkwardly on the couch. The ginger immediately walked over to the black-hiared man and rubbed his head. “Hey, kid.”
Ryuunosuke looked up at Chuuya. “I’m two years younger than you.” He said, his cold voice softening. “Why are you here, Chuuya-san?”
“Dazai. You?”
“Jinko.”
The two nodded silently at each other's reasoning.
Kunikida decided to drag both Dazai and Atsushi outside the agency and yell at them in the hallway. Kyouka walked up to Chuuya and sat next to him, leaning against him and closing her eyes. It was too early in the morning for this hell apparently. “What are we going to do with you two now that your ‘owners’ have left you alone?” Yosano asked from her desk, simply looking at new torture– medical equipment she could get.
Chuuya and Akuatagwa responded at the same time. “Get this fucking collar off of me.”
The woman laughed and nodded. “Will do.”
