Genya came back home after an long day in the school with an smile on his face going to the upstairs, the older brother noticed him having an strange behavior and much before he goes to his room immediately called him crossing his arms.
—oi, Genya! Come here for an moment! — Genya said making him gasp in surprise for being called.
—oh, yeah sure nii-san! — he walked towards him confused, but paying attention carefully for what he has to say.
The man with white hair crossed his arms and sighs closing his eyes to glance at him again, the seriousness in his face let Genya a bit afraid but doesn't let it explicit.
—i wouldn't ask that, but something really awaken my curiosity... What the hell is wrong with all do your happiness suddenly? It's been one week that you were feeling like that. — he doesn't seems bothered as much he was curious, but Genya was a bit afraid to admit so he had to justify on another way to look suspicious.
—well, it's because i just like making friends at my School, Especially Muichiro, Nezuko and her brother Tanjiro cause they are so kind! — he would smile.
Sanemi was surprised for the response, but also smiled back to the young brother giving headpats as he let some more words from his mouth.
—honestly i wouldn't say this is bad, by the way i'm happy for you making new friends at the School... — he said feeling proud at him. — but you better focuse at studied too!
—aw thanks for that nii-san, and don't worry, i'll try my best to make a good progress at classes and make you and mommy proud! — he smiled positively after replying.
—boys i'm back, and Genya how it was the classes? — the lady asked to her young son.
—it was good! — some of the rest of Shinazugawa siblings came around and hug the mother as the woman smiled in a comforting way.
Hours later in the dinner time everyone and especially the Shinazugawa brothers were eating peacefully, it doesn't matter if their father was no longer around, at least they would have an peaceful life without any chaos to the home caused by the man. Sanemi glanced at everyone and after swallowing the food he was about to say something, feeling excited.
—okaasan, nii-chan and everyone, i have something to tell... In the next month me and Kanae we're about to get married! — Genya gasped as the woman looked at him in shock.
—wait... Married?! — she asked him in disbelief.
—yeah, because i proposed her under the Cherry trees and happily she accepted the proposal... I was so happy this day came, now my dream came true! — the pride in himself grows even more announcing his marriage with her.
—i'm so happy for you both that you are finally getting married with her, but if you don't mind... How many childrens you pretend to have? — he keeps eating.
Sanemi stopped for a moment to think even if it was very unexpected.
—damn that's too early i guess... But maybe one or two... — his smile and chuckles appeared when he started to fantasize about his married life with kids.
—it would be Nice to be an auntie! But something bothers me... Won't Genya get married too? — Teiko asked, but for some reason it made Genya feel a bit uncomfortable.
—Teiko Teiko... Genya has too much to think, maybe one hour or one day an beautiful lady can appear in his life. — the mother replied almost finishing the dinner.
—mother has an point, but i must admit that i feel sometimes concerned about his future like, what if he end up being alone? And if it was an man it would be extremely weird and i'd rather to see him having an wife so i can meet his childrens too! — Genya started reflecting about the older brother's words as much this discussion about his future relationship is bothering a lot and tries to finish his food soon as possible.
—don't say that! If he end alone it is his choice... — Genya stood up in silent and slowly goes to the upstairs without speaking anything for a moment.
—where are you going?? — Sanemi asked confused.
—i already finished my food, i'm only about to have some rest ok? — the woman for a moment thought his behavior had became strange sudden, but then ignored.
—riiight.... — Sanemi replied while turned back to the table and picking the pots and plates.
He couldn't take it anymore, Genya threw himself to the bed and sighs glancing at the ceiling while still reflecting on the discussion during the dinner, what if he was right about being alone forever? No, he didn't wanted this, but something really caught him is the fact Sanemi mentioned something about feeling weirded about seeing him with an boy and it bring him some sad feelings since he only wanted to feel happy with someone he cared.
As some of images of his classmate and best friend Muichiro came, Genya can't help but an slight blush appears when the boy with long hair appeared in his head, his breath gets heavy along with the heart beating quickly as strange feelings would appear in his stomach. Butterflies in the stomach for the night, for some reason Genya couldn't stop controlling those feelings involving his best friend as if he really wanted to have something more intimate with him, but he was aware that it would be an challenge knowing how his family would react.
He's exhausted, and all he only wanted is an good night sleep, tomorrow is another day and another day at school and challenges.
