Work Text:
“I don’t see why you have to rush like that,” Minho called, laughing at the loud curse that sounded from his bedroom. “There is next to nothing that could be so important that you have to be in such a hurry.”
When he didn’t get an answer immediately, he leaned back on the couch and stared at his crosswords for a couple of moments. Minho rested the pencil against his lip, smirking as he scribbled down the last word. With a tiny ‘whoop’ he pulled up his phone, gleefully texting Seungmin that Minho had won. Again.
“I’ll repeat myself,” Minho sang, smiling when he heard another pile of clothes get thrown onto the floor. “I don’t see why you have to rush like that.”
“I’m rushing because if I’m late again Changbin is going to laugh at me and call me whipped,” Chan groaned from Minho’s bedroom, ruffling around in there looking for something, most likely his socks or something else. Maybe his underwear, but he had seen Chan nick a pair of Minho’s before showering so probably not.
“Well, he wouldn’t be wrong,” Minho said, already working on his next crossword, knowing Seungmin would have been a cheat and made Jisung look up some of the words in advantage. “You’re very, extremely, highly whipped - sometimes even overwhipped. You’re ten seconds away from becoming butter.”
“I know,” Chan said mournfully from the bedroom. “But sometimes I like to pretend I have a backbone,” he added, muttering something under his breath.
Minho was pretty sure it was because he had found his sock hanging from his ceiling lamp.
“Well, you could always pretend to have caught the flu and stay here and fuck me again,” Minho said smiling as he heard Chan almost fall off the bed. “I’m almost done with my crossword so I’ll be ready in a moment,” he added, speeding along to keep himself from slowing down by staring at his phone.
He needed to keep the speed up if he wanted to make Seungmin lose a humiliating 3 out of 3 crosswords.
“I can’t,” Chan said from the bed, and Minho just knew he was lying there glaring at the ceiling… and his sock dangling from the ceiling fan - which, in Minho’s defense, Chan had thrown up there himself last night when he had been in a hurry to get his clothes off.
“You could also just tell them the truth that you’d rather get your dick wet than spend your Sunday playing minigolf so Changbin can score Hyunjin,” Minho called back, stretching his legs out. He was still a little sore from the night before, but he could take Chan again easily.
“Minho,” Chan whined, shuffling around in the other room some more. “Please, I'm begging you, don’t tempt me,” he added, still whining and Minho swore he would make him sound like that again later - once he was done handing Seungmin his own ass in long-distance, competitive crosswords, of course.
“Have you seen my hoodie?” Chan suddenly asked and Minho stopped his scribbling only to look down at himself. His bare legs were stretched out on the couch, sticking out from under the black hoodie that was very much not his.
“No,” Minho said without missing a beat, smirking to himself as he wiggled his toes happily.
“You’re wearing it, aren’t you?” Chan sighed, stumbling out of Minho’s bedroom, dressed in the jeans from last night, his socks, and not much else. Minho smiled at him, speeding up his writing.
Seungmin would be defeated and Minho would be dicked down within 8 minutes.
“Minho,” Chan whined again and Minho really had to give it to the man. He made it very hard for Minho to let him leave if kept sounding like that. “I’ve spent ten minutes looking for it,” he said, shuffling over to Minho and dropping into the armchair.
“You left it on the floor,” Minho said, trying not to smile as Chan groaned, leaning back and displaying more of his chest. Minho tried very hard not to look but it was difficult not to with how Chan was just sitting there showing off all the marks Minho left behind the night before. “I thought you were done with it,” Minho added with a small shrug.
“Why would I - Minho, that makes no sense,” Chan huffed, narrowing his eyes at Minho. “Literally most of my clothes were on the floor, but you didn’t steal my pants.”
“Maybe I should have,” Minho countered, making sure to rest his pencil against his lip every time Chan was looking at him.
He needed his not-quite-boyfriend to get ideas so he could stay at home and take care of him like the house-husband he was born to be.
“You’re infuriating, you know that,” Chan said, groaning as he leaned back. “I’m going to be so late. Changbin is going to laugh at me, and Hyunjin is going to make fun of me, and-”
“And it’s raining,” Minho supplied unhelpfully, urging on Chan’s desire to stay at home with Minho.
Chan sighed deeper, sinking further into the armchair and looking more and more like a pouty puppy.
“You could just cancel like I suggested,” Minho said, eyes flickering to his phone. He had to hurry. Seungmin had to be done soon because unlike Minho he didn’t have the potential love of his life sitting half-naked in his living room
Jisung was still very much in the pearl-clutching- wide-eyed-panicked-we-are-just-friends-I-have-no-idea-what-you’re-trying-to-imply-Minho-it’s-not-like-that phase of his seduction of Seungmin.
It was cute, though not as cute as Minho and Chan would be when they became official.
“I can’t cancel,” Chan said as Minho finally finished his crossword and gleefully sent a message to Seungmin declaring him the loser once again. “What am I going to say?” He asked, ignoring him when Minho snickered at his phone as he taunted Seungmin. “Sorry I can’t come, someone stole my hoodie?”
“Yes, or you could write and say your boyfriend has kidnapped you for a Sunday of marathon sex because he has a day off work,” Minho said, throwing the phone on the table.
He leaned back, smiling like a cat when Chan froze, his eyes widening.
“Boyfriend?”
“Yes, Channie,” Minho said, rolling his eyes. “Do you think I steal everyone I fuck with’s hoodie in an attempt to convince them to stay longer because I’m falling in love with them?”
Minho got up and walked over to Chan, staring down at him while Chan just gaped at him like a silly little fish.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you’re the only guy I’ve been with for months and we spend all our time together.”
Minho placed his hands on either side of Chan and looked down at his adorable little husband-to-be.
“You’re the only guy I’ve ever emptied out a whole drawer for so you can stop doing the walk of shame and actually have clean clothing on when you meet up with your friends. ”
“Love?” Chan squeaked, looking both elated and concerned. “You… love me?”
“You’re so silly,” Minho tsked and shook his head, climbing into Chan’s lab. He took Chan’s hands and placed them on his hips and leaned in close to him. “Be my boyfriend,” he said, smiling as Chan nodded, still in a stunned stupor.
Minho leaned in and kissed him deeply.
“I love you,” Minho said, his lips moving against Chan’s, loving how Chan’s eyes lit up. “But the hoodie is mine now,” he grinned, stomach swooping as Chan groaned, and pulled Minho closer, kissing him again.
“I love you, too, you brat,” Chan said softly, dark eyes sincere. “A lot actually, but Changbin is still going to laugh at me if I cancel.”
“No need,” Minho smirked, wiggling a little in Chan’s lap. “I already told Seungmin to tell Jisung to tell Hyunjin that I have tied you up in my bed and you therefore are indisposed for the rest of the day,” he finished with a small kiss on Chan’s cheek.
“Minho, for fuck’s sake,” Chan cursed, closing his eyes and holding Minho tightly. “Why do I love you?”
“Because I'm amazing and adorable and you’d be lost without me,” Minho said, pushing himself off Chan. “And because you’re about to fuck me senseless which we both know is your favorite activity,” he added, dragging Chan back into the bedroom.
In the end, Chan never asked for the hoodie back, so Minho counted that as a win.
