Chapter 1: Heartbreak pt. 1
Chapter Text
It was a long day and Yasmin had just woke up with a headache. She was in the bathroom washing her face and reached into her medicine cabinet to find some Tylenol and washed it down with her bottle of sunny D.
“It’s a long day. Why am I so tired?” Yasmin asked herself.
Yasmin was living her best life. She had everything a teenage girl could ever ask for. She had very supportive parents, she had the best friends in the whole wide world. And on top of that she was running the best selling magazine with them. She was very talented and beautiful. Any guy would be lucky to have her. She was dating one of the hottest guys in their friendship circle, Eitan. They’ve known each other for years. They started off as friends and then eventually hooked up. They’ve been going on strong for years. They both had a lot in common. They were both very shy but eventually got truly comfortable around each other.
Yasmin was slowly trying to work on breaking out of her shell. She was the most quiet one of the group and most secretive as well. She was always her true self around her friends, but always found it hard opening up to new people.
Just as always her house was empty that day. Her parents juggled many jobs to keep the bills paid and support their children the best way they could. They’d even help Yasmin pay for college if she wanted to go.
Before Yasmin could get into the kitchen to get herself something to eat that’s when the doorbell rang. She knew it couldn’t be any of the girls. Sasha had cheerleading practice. Cloe had soccer practice and Jade was working on designs for her new outfits.
Yasmin opened the door to Eitan standing there with his head faced down and his hands in his pockets. He reminded her of the Eitan that was too shy to speak to her and let alone ask her out. But he looked even worse as if someone just died and Yasmin didn’t like the look of that. She assumed it was another fight with his Father or the Exam that was coming up in weeks. Whatever it was she was prepared to listen.
“Hey babe!” she said letting him in and shutting the door behind him. He took a seat right onto the couch.
“Hey” he said.
“What brings you to my house this time on a Saturday?”
Yasmin didn’t know what to expect. Eitan was always excited to see Yasmin. He always hugged or kissed her. She was getting signs she didn’t like.
“You didn’t pick up your phone” he began as he flashed her a very sharp look.
“Seriously? I’ve been sleep”
“You didn’t check it?”
“Nope I just got up, I didn’t bother checking it because the girls are busy and I thought you were out with the boys”
“No. Our weekend trip was canceled”
“Well that sucks”
“Tell me about it” he shrugged.
“You wanna tell me what it is? You show up to my house looking like a lost puppy. You don’t hug me or even kiss me. What’s going on? Is it something I did?” Yasmin said facing him.
“No”
“Did someone just die. I’m sorry for your loss.”
“NO!”
“Okay. Another fight with your Father?”
“Something bigger” he said struggling to get it out. He didn’t know how Yasmin was going to take things. And he felt that she would hate him forever if he just spilled the truth.
“Okay Eitan. I don’t like the games you’re playing, just spill it” said Yasmin folding her arms.
“I love you Yasmin. I never ever wanted to hurt you. But I don’t think I can do this anymore”
Yasmin dropped her arms. She couldn’t believe his words. She was in shock and lost for words. Everything seemed so perfect. They were almost everyone’s favorite couple at Stiles High. They had a lot in common, they had great chemistry, a great friendship. They had so much fun together. He seemed so happy last weekend when they went on that double date with Cloe and Cameron to go see that new horror movie. Yasmin didn’t know what to say.
“Why? Can you explain? There has to be something I have done. Talk to me”
“I just did and I’m sorry”
“Are you sure?”
“It’s not you. It’s me. I need a break”
“So it’s just a break? You’re not actually breaking up with me?”
“It’s complicated” Eitan sighed.
“I don’t like this at all. Which one is it?!”
“We’re both kind of young. You’re a great girl, don’t you think we should you know? venture off? Start seeing other people?”
“Wow Eitan-“ Yasmin didn’t want to embarrass herself but she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes slowly.
“Yasmin don’t be like that” he placed his hand on her shoulder.
“Can I at least get a hug?” He opened his arms.
“Oh now you wanna hug me?”
“Well-“
“I appreciate you telling me the truth and how you feel”
“Yes. It’s better that way. I wouldn’t want to hurt you”
“Get out Eitan” she said calmly.
He was still sitting there and it caused her to yell.
“Get out!”
He stood up and headed towards the door. Yasmin followed him and slammed it behind him. Feelings of sadness and anger took over her. This was not one way she was planning on spending her Saturday. She ran upstairs and cried into her pillow for thirty minutes and then wrote in her diary. She wasn’t ready to call her girls yet. She just didn’t want to talk about it. At least not right now. And now who was she going to go to the dance with?
Cloe had a long, hot and sweaty Saturday with her boyfriend Cameron. They had just finished practice. Usually they had practice afterschool. But the coach decided to start holding practices on Saturdays as well to get them prepared for the big tournament in a couple of weeks. Cloe felt extremely exhausted and hated getting this sweaty. She also hated that she had to give up her shopping sprees on the weekends with her friends. But it was a great thing she loved sports too. She’d do anything to win that tournament.
Cloe and Cameron were both extremely tired that afternoon. All Cloe was planning to do when she got home was jump in the shower and probably pop something in the microwave and call her girls. Sasha was going to finish her practice in another hour and they both were at school on a Saturday. She would’ve just waited for Sasha. But she decided to ride with Cameron. She enjoyed every second with him.
“Yes! babe we crushed them!” Cloe slapped fives with Cameron after they met by his car.
Despite how tired Cameron was, he was stoked about the team’s victory that day.
“I know we scored the first goal, then they scored the second, then afterwards we took it away. But for next practice, there will be no mercy” Cameron said proudly.
Cloe laughed. She loved his enthusiasm and how passionate he was about sports.
“If we keep on playing like that, we’ll be ready for the tournament in no time” Cloe bragged. She believed in them.
“Come here” Cameron said placing his jug on the roof of his car. Cloe never shied away from displaying her affection and love she had for Cameron publicly, but she was too hot and sweaty for it at the moment. But Cameron was looking too good in his uniform even while he smelled. Cloe did as he said and inched closer to him. He wrapped his warm arms around her waist. Cloe wrapped her arms around his neck and stared into his dreamy blue eyes staring back at her.
“You killed it out there” he said.
“You mean, we killed it” Cloe corrected him. Cameron chuckled a bit. Words could not describe what was going through his head right now.
“What do you want?” Cloe asked as Cameron flashed her that look only she knows.
“Silly question. You!” he said.
“No. Seriously Cam. We’re in the middle of the school parking lot, burning up out here”
“And you’re hot as hell” he said pressing his lips against hers. Cloe couldn’t resist. Although he didn’t have on one of his best colognes. His breath always managed to smell so nice. And the way his soft lips sucked hers slowly was enough to drive her insane. Cloe could feel herself getting excited down below as their make out session lasted for minutes. This couldn’t be happening. Cloe told herself that she was going to stay abstinent for a while at least til their anniversary, which was coming up pretty soon.
After the two let go of each other. Cameron popped the car open and grabbed his jug. Cloe rushed right inside and put on her seatbelt.
“We gotta get going” said Cloe.
“Is everything alright?” He asked.
“Yes every thing is alright. Just gotta get home” she said.
“Got any plans next Saturday?” Cameron questioned her.
“Besides Soccer practice. No. I’ll let you know if something pops up”
“Good. I was thinking we try that new vegetarian restaurant a couple hours away, and then go back to my place”
Cloe loved the sound of that. She hated to cut their time short. But she had lots of studying to do. Plus she missed her girls already.
“That sounds amazing!”
Cameron had dropped her off finally. Those two said their goodbyes for the day.
Cloe rushed right into the shower to get cleaned up. She washed her hair, blow dried it and wrapped it up in a bonet for the night and then went into her kitchen and popped the rest of her veggie lasagna into the microwave. She felt so happy. So at ease. She never ever felt this happy with anyone else in her life. All she could do was think about her day with Cameron. Cloe ate her lasagna in the kitchen and decided to turn on Netflix.
After she ate she looked at the clock and she knew Sasha should’ve been finished cheerleading practice by now. She gave her some more time to get home and everything. After she ate she did the dishes watched one more episode of one of her favorite shows and then decided to call her girls. She had a lot on her mind lately and could not wait to get it off of her chest.

Chapter Text
The girls all enjoyed FaceTiming each other last night. Well all accept for Yasmin. They all could not get a hold of her. They assumed she was busy and decided to chat it up. Cloe talked about her day with Cameron. She enjoyed herself. But it’s too bad she didn’t get any sleep or get any studying done. The exam was in a couple of weeks. Cloe had too much on her plate. She had the exam, and she was stressing about what she was going to get Cameron for their anniversary. All of the girls decided to meet up by the lockers. All of them looking gorgeous as usual.
“Okay where’s Yasmin?” Sasha asked them.
“I have no clue. I blew up her phone this morning. This is not like her” said Jade.
“We gotta get to the bottom of this” said Cloe struggling with her locker combination.
Just then she was distracted by Cameron sneaking up from behind her causing her to act giddy. That turned into another quick make out session.
“Ewww gross” Jade said. “Get a fucking room!” Sasha added.
They both had a love and hate relationship with Cameron. They loved poking fun at their relationship. But they loved seeing Cloe happy. As they continued Cameron put his middle finger up at both of them.
Cloe broke it off. “Seriously babe. Not right now. You need to get to class” said Cloe and finally Cameron left and caught up with Dylan.
“Damn. Finally” said Sasha.
“Seriously Cameron can’t get enough of me”
“Oh. I can see that” said Sasha opening her locker next to her.
“Yeah. You told us enough last night” said Jade.
“He makes me crazy as well. We’re going out this Saturday after practice and then we’re gonna go back to his house”
“oooh steamy!” Jade’s eyes widened.
“We might not go there” said Cloe finally getting her locker to open.
“Why not?” Sasha asked sorting through her book bag grabbing the textbooks she needed for her first classes.
“Remember. I made that promise to myself that I’d stay abstinent for a while or at least wait til our anniversary. I have to go to the doctor and get my shot first” Cloe explained.
“Oh yeah you don’t want what could’ve happened to actually happen this time” said Sasha.
“Yesss! We haven’t finished school yet. My parents would kill me!”
Just then after Sasha and Cloe got their stuff situated, they all spotted Eitan across the hallway from where they were standing.
He looked happier than ever. He had a bright smile on his face. And he was talking to some beautiful blond girl. He looked as if he was being flirtatious, but none of them could make out anything they were saying.
They stood there and watched as Eitan handed her a piece of paper, and then she handed him hers. They watched him walk away with the cheesiest grin as if he won a prize or something. They stared at the girl and her eyes were rolling back and she began to blush.
“No way!” said Cloe as her jaw dropped.
“That Bitch!” Jade gasped.
“We gotta get a hold of Yasmin. Now!” Sasha dug into her mini bag fast to get out her phone. They each called her leaving them with no response. They began to worry. The bell finally rang and it was time for class to start. The girls were planning on meeting up afterschool and going to Yasmin’s house that afternoon. Sasha had to find a way to skip cheerleading practice.
“I can’t believe Yaz has been ignoring us for hours” said Cloe.
“What should we tell her? Eitan’s cheating on you” Cloe practiced.
“Shhhh!” said Sasha ringing the doorbell.
They all waited patiently for someone to answer the door. It was her Mother.
“Oh hey Cloe, Sasha, Jade”
“Hey Mrs. Ramirez, we’re here to check on Yasmin. She hasn’t been returning any of our calls or texts” said Jade.
“I’m so sorry. Now doesn’t look like the perfect time. She’s not feeling too good-“
“It’s okay” the sound of Yasmin’s voice from behind her interrupted.
“They can come in”
Yasmin didn’t look too good. Her hair was undone. Her makeup was off and she was dressed in purple slippers and a robe that matched her purple scarf that she wrapped her hair up in.
“Okay. Explain!” said Sasha.
“My phone has been on the charger this whole time and I am not feeling too good. I came down with a cold and I don’t know how much worse this week can get. You happy Mom?”
“I’m not used to our Pretty Princess acting like this!” said Cloe.
“So what brings you all here?” Yasmin asked. They all got hesitant.
Then Cloe spoke. “Should we tell her?”
“Tell me what?”
Jade had pinched Cloe on the leg.
“Ouch Jade. What was that for?”
“We just came to check on you. You haven’t been returning any of our calls. You skipped school and didn’t even tell us. We were worried about you” said Sasha.
“We should just tell her already. We saw Eitan flirting with another girl in the hallway this morning. They looked like they exchanged numbers” Cloe spit out the words fast.
“Not now” said Jade.
“Really Cloe?” said Sasha.
“Well she was gonna find out anyway”
“Well that’s good for him” said Yasmin.
“I don’t care” she added.
Yasmin cared deeply and she was hurt hearing that Eitan was looking to move on super fast after all that they had together.
“Really?” Jade asked confused.
“He can do what he wants now. Eitan and I broke up on Saturday”
“Is that why you didn’t join the video chat on Saturday” said Sasha.
“Uhm yeah. I needed to clear my head. I think I’m over it” Yasmin lied. She began toying around with the loose strings from
her robe and then looked up at all of their faces which looked like they weren’t giving into her lies.
“Okay I am lying this shit hurts like hell” Yasmin threw her hands up in frustration.
“So what all happened?” Jade asked.
Yasmin shared with them the details and everything about that afternoon. She even told them how he had the nerve to try to stick around.
“That loser’s gonna pay” said Jade.
“No don’t be like that. Don’t do anything stupid” Yasmin warned.
“Oh no. He’s gonna realize what he had when it’s gone. You’ll be loved up with someone else” said Jade.
“I don’t think I’ll ever get into another relationship again. At least not til I finish high school”
“That’s exactly how I feel right now” said Sasha.
“Me too” Jade agreed.
“It’s gonna be me myself and I for a while” said Sasha.
“Boys are so stupid” said Cloe.
“Says the one who is going out this Saturday with Cameron and then will meet him at his house” Jade jokingly teased causing Cloe to chuckle.
Yasmin frowned up her face a bit. Sasha looked at Cloe and Jade, like why would they ever?
“Sorry” Cloe placed her hand atop her lips keeping herself from saying something else stupid.
“How are you and Cameron?” Yasmin asked.
“We’re doing amazing. Practice was great. We killed it out there. I believe the championship is ours! He’s taking me to this new Vegetarian restaurant out of town and we might hang out at his house afterwards”
“Well I am happy for you” said Yasmin causing Cloe to not know if she was being serious or sarcastic.
“Thanks”
“Who are you going to the dance with?” Cloe changed the subject quickly. She asked Sasha and Jade.
“I haven’t found anyone to go to the dance with. And I don’t wanna look stupid. But if I find someone it’ll only be a hookup” said Sasha.
“What if you really like the guy and you have a nice night? What if one thing leads to another?” Jade asked.
“Good question” said Yasmin.
“Well I’m with Cloe. I am practicing celibacy. I haven’t had it in a while since Dylan and I hooked up last summer”
“Dylan-“ Cloe pretended to gag. “I still can’t believe you ever” said Yasmin.
“I know tell me about it. But yeah. I’ll dance hang out and talk and then go back home exactly how I came” said Sasha.
“Yeah Right” Jade rolled her eyes.
“Bitch Please. What is that supposed to mean?” said Sasha.
The girls managed to calm Yasmin down a little bit. She was actually having a good time and laughing again. But it all changed the next day after Yasmin turned her absent slip in the main office. Her eyes landed on Eitan walking side by side with this beautiful blond haired girl. She had on a short jean skirt and a tang top with The Rolling Stones on it. Her hair and makeup was perfect and she looked like she could light up the whole room. They were walking very close. Their hands weren’t touching but the way he looked at her was the way he used to look at Yasmin. She studied the way their eyes locked together. Then Dylan came along with Koby and they all slapped fives and Eitan looked as if he was proudly introducing the gorgeous girl.
This is what we’re doing? Yasmin thought to herself. She lost her appetite for the day and her whole mood was ruined again instantly. She didn’t have enough time to meet up with her girls soon. She had to hurry and get to class, but they all met up later at lunch.
“Are you going to eat that?” Cloe pointed to the fresh blueberries on Yasmin’s plate.
“Take it” Yasmin said annoyedly. She was distracted by the guys sitting a couple tables down from them. The same girl from earlier walked over and took a seat beside Eitan.
“That’s her” Cloe pointed out.
“I know. I saw her this morning” said Yasmin angrily.
“Girl what are you going to do?” Sasha asked while she dug her fork into her salad.
“I don’t know. It’s whatever. Let’s just keep eating” said Yasmin taking her eyes from over there.
“Really Yaz? You haven’t touched one thing since we’ve been over here and lunch is over in like ten minutes” said Jade.
“Are you gonna drink your water? I’m gonna need to stay hydrated for practice today afterschoo-“
“Just take it Cloe!” Yasmin snapped. She got up quickly from the table after Cloe grabbed her water and slammed her tray filled with food into the trash can nearby.
“She wasted a good burger” said Sasha.
“Oh no what is she gonna do?” Cloe said.
“I don’t know. Should we go after her?” Jade asked.
The girls decided to give Yasmin some space.
“Oh Eitan’s gonna pay for this!” Jade added shaking her head.
Chapter 3: Confrontation
Notes:
And I’m back with another chapter. I’m very nervous. I tried my hardest. So far it doesn’t look like this story is getting much buzz right now, but to whoever comes across this and reads this, please be kind. If you don’t like this story, kindly click out. If you want to comment something nasty, please keep it to yourself. I like what I’m doing and I love the drama, and I know everyone has different tastes. If anyone likes it, I would appreciate some feedback, I am not big on the romance writing thing, and would love to get better at it, and sex scenes, trying to craft them is a little awkward for me. So please excuse the cringe!

Chapter Text
Days later Cloe and Sasha had practice again. Cloe had finished soccer practice early and had left the school already. She was at home freshening up and getting ready for her date night with Cameron. Sasha was finishing up practice soon.
“Okay 1 and 2 and 3. From the top…” Sasha shouted. She began mouthing off their cheer while practicing the dance moves. Her team following after her.
Her eyes became glued to one girl in the back who didn’t seem to get it. She caused another girl beside her to mess up. Sasha wasn’t in the best mood today. She had to study a lot when she got home for the exams. She couldn’t make time for the magazine or any shopping sprees. She felt like she was losing her best friend and their performance had to be perfect for the big game coming up.
“Okay seriously. We’re not leaving til we get this right. Again from the top…” she yelled.
“I’m done!” said that one girl giving up.
“Seriously you can’t just walk outta here. If you leave you’re cut from the team and I’ll have you replaced. You got it?” Sasha threatened.
The girl got back in her place. She was sort of a pushover. Sasha was the boss. She was the leader. The leader of the Bratz pack and captain of the cheerleading squad. She made all of the rules. It was in her blood. The girls rehearsed for an extra hour and then finally Sasha let them go after they gotten a little better.
Just then that’s when a familiar face popped up. She had on a white short loose skirt and a white tang top with tennis shoes this time. Her hair was in a sleek bun.
“Hey I am Amber Walker nice to meet you. You must be Sasha” the familiar face held out her hand for Sasha to shake. Sasha didn’t give it to her. Then Amber took her hand back awkwardly and began looking around nervously.
“What do you want?” Sasha asked.
“I was wondering was there any open positions on the team. You killed it today. I was sitting there watching you the whole time. I love your work and I would be honored to dance with you”
“No. The big game is in a couple of weeks. Sorry, maybe next time” Sasha couldn’t wait to hurry up and end this conversation.
“Anything else?” She added.
“When that’s over you can give me a call” Amber said handing Sasha her number. Just then that’s when Jade showed up.
“Hey Sasha. I was calling you. I thought you were done an hour ago” said Jade making her way closer to them. She seemed so bright until she noticed who was standing near her. Jade began looking her up and down. Amber was confused as ever to why she was being so shady.
“What are you doing still hanging out here. Let’s go” said Jade pulling Sasha away from the girl.
Before they could get far. Eitan came their way and greeted them.
“Sasha, Jade, hey how are y’all doing?” He held out his hand to shake and Sasha and Jade both refused.
They both gave him blank stares before they spoke and Eitan was confused as ever.
“You should be asking Yasmin that!” said Jade.
“Yasmin and I broke up” said Eitan.
“Yeah we know. Stupid!” said Sasha.
“You don’t know what you did to that girl. She really loved you. You tore her heart out, and now you’re walking around with this” Jade said giving Amber the same stank look.
“This is just a friend” said Eitan.
“Uh huh” Sasha rolled her eyes.
“I should’ve known. Girls tell each other everything” Eitan threw his hands over his face in embarrassment.
“We sure as hell do” said Sasha.
“Anything else y’all got to say?” Eitan said taking his hands away from his face.
“Let’s just go” Amber said grabbing his hand and pulling it closer to hers.
“We’re not done-“ Jade cut her off.
“Whatever this is. Is not gonna last” said Sasha.
“One day you’ll realize the dumb decision you made” Jade added.
“Okay” said Eitan as him and Amber walked away fast.
“It’ll happen watch!” said Jade.
“Let’s go. We have a lot to talk about” said Sasha as they headed for her car. Sasha went home to wash up and then they went out for lunch. Yasmin was at home studying for her exams. She had to do something great for herself. She knew since her and Eitan no longer had a future. She could study hard, pass the exams and get a good job, graduate and move somewhere far away from him. She hated this feeling. But she felt like she hated his guts. How dare him do this to her? He broke up with her out of nowhere and then moved on like it was nothing. Yasmin was happy he never cheated. But it still sucked. It felt like someone had stuck an arrow through her heart and stood there and watched it bleed out with no problem.
After Yasmin did enough studying she had decided to listen to her favorite tunes and danced around in her room. She ordered some comfort food off of DoorDash. She ordered some waffle fries and her favorite chicken wrap with that good avocado ranch dressing from chic fil a and an ice cold lemonade. She was gonna snack on a bag of chips later and eat a tub of haggen-dazs Icecream. Dulce de Leche was one of her favorites. She put on one of her favorite shows and began feeling better slowly.
“Hey Yaz. Baby can I come in?” Her Mother knocked on the cracked door before entering.
“Yes”
“How’s my baby feeling?” She took a seat on her bed.
“Good. Don’t worry I studied, I took my medicine and this cold is wearing off” Yasmin sipped her lemonade.
“Good. What about that situation with Eitan? Have you at least tried to talk to him again?”
Why did her Mother have to go there.
“No. I don’t see why it matters anyway. He moved on”
“What?” Her Mother gasped in complete shock.
“Yeah I don’t wanna talk about it”
“Well I’m sorry”
“It’s okay”
“The dance is coming up” said her Mother.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. I am not going”
“Oh no. I’m sure you’ll find someone. Or just go with your friends”
“Mom please!”
“Sorry honey. It will get better. You two will find your way back to each other. I know. And as far as now. Whatever happens. I’m here for you”
“Thanks Mom. Love you”
“I love you too” she kissed her daughter on the cheek then left the room.
Yasmin continued to enjoy her food in peace. Yasmin was going to go to bed super early.
Jade had studied hard as well and continued working on her designs after lunch with Sasha.
Later that night after Cloe and Cameron had eaten at that good vegetarian restaurant, they decided to go to Cameron’s house. It was empty and peaceful there. It was just the two of them. Cameron’s parents were on vacation and his little sister was at her friend’s sleepover so this was the perfect time for the two to unwind and relax.
“I had a really nice time. And every thing was so good. Thanks a lot Cam” said Cloe. They were cuddled up on the couch together while Cameron had the fire place going on in the living room which brightened up the mood and the dark room.
“Anything for my special lady” Cameron kissed her on the cheek causing her to blush.
“I can’t. I am like cheesing right now” she said.
She caused Cameron to blush as well.
“It’s just we’ve been going on strong for so long and I am just amazed at how happy I am. I hear a lot of couples would get past that lovey doves phase by now. But you still give me butterflies. Words can’t describe how happy I am when I’m with you” Cloe said.
“Well we’re not everybody else” Cameron squeezed her hand but not too tightly.
“I’m so lucky to have you Cameron” Cloe placed one of her hands on his cheeks and began feeling them softly.
“I feel the same way” Cameron said as he began to kiss her neck. He sent chills through her body. Who knows what could happen next.
“You do?” Cloe said getting excited.
“What do you think we should do for the rest of the night?” Cloe added.
“How about you make love to me. Right here, right now”
Cloe could feel him getting excited underneath her. Cloe turned around and repositioned herself to face him. Next minute she was on top of him kissing all over his lips making her way down to his neck. She began to unfasten his shirt and you know what happened next…
Chapter 4: Regrets
Notes:
Here’s another chapter. Sorry for the cringe of the last Chapter. I’m a beginner so please be patient with me!
Chapter Text
Yasmin was taking everything day by day. She was slowly getting herself back together or at least was trying to. The more she didn’t think of him the happier she was. But she still had regrets. She regretted giving him a chance and allowing him to mess it up. She regretted falling hard for him because it still hurts that he moved on so quickly.
It was Monday morning and Yasmin was so happy to have aced her exams. She had met up with her girls before the day began.
“Hey look what I got!” Yasmin cheered waving her A+ in their faces.
“What did you get?”
Jade then held up her A- proudly.
“What about you Sasha?” Yasmin asked.
“I got a B+” she said not as proud.
Cloe gave her a look. She didn’t even want her to ask.
“I got a C+, my parents are going to kill me” Cloe freaked out.
“Maybe you can see if you can retake the test” Sasha suggested.
“My teacher is so stubborn. He won’t let me. If I fail this year I could go to summer school”
“Relax Angel. You will NOT have to go to summer school. You’re not doing that bad are you?” said Jade.
“I can’t bring my chemistry up for nothing” Cloe said.
“I can help with that” sad Jade. Jade was everyone’s go to for all the fashion advice. She was super cool, but was a geek for science.
“And besides our exams are not til the end of this year. So you still have enough time” said Yasmin.
“Please don’t tell me you and Cameron been that busy?” Sasha joked.
Cloe, Sasha and Jade have been on the phone all night last night talking about the dance. But little did they know that Cloe broke her word Saturday night with Cameron.
“I have regrets alright” Cloe murmured.
“So that date on Saturday?” Yasmin asked.
“Ughhh! Why did you have to remind me?”
“No way!” said Jade.
“You and Cameron didn’t do it did you?” Sasha asked.
Cloe nodded slowly not feeling so proud of herself.
“Oh my God. You gotta tell me everything after school” said Sasha walking off to class before she was late.
“Cloe?” Jade asked and Yasmin laughed.
“No Jade. Don’t do that to me. Trust me it wasn’t supposed to happen I promise”
Cloe walked off fast and met up with her boyfriend before going to class.
“Looks like you’re feeling a lot better” said Jade.
“Yeah. I’m just so happy I got an A on the big test” Yasmin smiled.
Finally out of nowhere Jade and Yasmin spotted Eitan holding hands with Amber and they had everyone’s attention in the hallway. Yasmin’s smile wore off quickly.
“You’re not over Eitan are you?” Jade asked.
“Trying to be” said Yasmin.
“Well you’re gonna have to. The dance is coming up. You gotta find someone to go with, to at least make him jealous”
“I’m not like that. And looks like I’m skipping the dance” Yasmin stated.
“What?” Jade was lost for words. She didn’t want her best friend to miss a very good night over some dude.
“Yeah. You all can go without me” Yasmin began looking down trying to avoid eye contact with Eitan and Amber.
“Sasha and I have talked about finding you a date-“
“Look I’m not looking to play matchmaker right now. Okay?” said Yasmin.
“But he’s really cute-“
“Jade. Not now. Before you worry about my love life. How about you go find a date for the dance. I bet that didn’t happen yet. It’s always the most single people trying to hook people up or give out the best advice. Will you stop for God’s sake? I will be fine” Yasmin stormed off.
“Well excuse the hell outta me” Jade said to herself before she walked off to her class.
Yasmin’s first class was Geometry. Happily it was the only class she had with Eitan. Even Cameron was in that class with them. She couldn’t wait to get this first class over with.
Throughout the class Yasmin could not focus. She hated Mondays. The class felt so long. Yasmin kept trying to pay attention, but she kept looking at the clock
ticking above the desk awaiting for the bell to ring and class to be over.
Their teacher didn’t allow any cell phones in her class. She collected them all in a bin and gave them back to each student at the end of class. Eitan and Cameron kept going back and forth whispering, making jokes and laughing. They kept balling up notes and tossing them back to each other so much it began to irritate Yasmin a lot. Cameron and Yasmin were on the same side of the classroom and Eitan on the other.
Finally the teacher caught both of them.
“Mr. Eitan is there something you’d like to share with the class?”
“No Ma’am” Eitan tried to hold in his laugh.
“Those pics of Amber” one of the guys from the back of the class shouted and then Cameron giggled as well. Yasmin was confused. It made her uncomfortable. She didn’t even want to know, but she was kind of curious.
After class was over. The majority of the students rushed out of the class leaving Yasmin behind with Eitan and a couple other students who had words with their teacher.
Yasmin had picked up a balled note while Eitan wasn’t looking and placed it into her pocket.
She didn’t want to talk to Eitan ever again. But then she just didn’t know why. Why would he do this to her. Just end a good thing out of nowhere, parade around a new girl and act like she doesn’t exist.
“Eitan” Yasmin finally tapped him. Eitan turned around and looked back at her. But it wasn’t a look that she ever gotten from him. He looked irritated, as if Yasmin had done something wrong. She felt like he hated her. But for what?
By his look she wanted to back down. But she decided to say what was on her mind.
“Hey” she said.
“Hey” he said back. She didn’t want to seem stalkerish. So she just asked him how everything has been.
“How’s everything?” She asked.
“Great!” Eitan smiled and then his smile quickly faded.
“You?”
“Fine I guess” she said. Eitan turned back around and tried to walk away but then Yasmin stopped him.
“Why Eitan?” Yasmin asked.
“Look we already talked about this. Remember?” He said. His face managed to stay the same.
“I can’t believe this” Yasmin laughed sarcastically.
“Believe what?”
“That we could be so close. So happy, in love one minute and then now walk around like we’re strangers”
“Well things change” he said.
“What is it? What did I do? Did you hate me that much? Did you just decide you were just bored with me and didn’t want anything to do with me?-“
“Yasmin. Not here” Eitan said as he walked off. Yasmin couldn’t believe it. She felt tears welling up in her eyes but decided to be strong.
She had to hurry and get to her next class or she would be late. Suddenly she was distracted by this guy who tapped her on the shoulder.
“Hey is this yours?” he said handing Yasmin her phone. He was pale with brown hair and had glasses. His name was Robert. He was very quiet and a bit shy.
“Oh yeah. Thanks how did you know it was mine?”
“Well you’re still standing here. This phone was the last phone in here and that beautiful Lock Screen looks like the girl standing in front of me”
“awww thanks Robert”
“You are- Yasmin right?” Robert said struggling to get it out.
“Yes I am” she said.
“I don’t usually do this. But I always thought you were nice, and kind of cute. Well really cute. I was wondering if you wanted to go to that dance coming up”
“So you’re asking me to the dance?” Yasmin asked really shocked.
“Yes” he smiled and began to blush a bit.
“Look Robert. I think you’re sweet. That’s really nice of you, but I won’t be going to the dance. Something popped up. I’m so sorry” said Yasmin.
“Aww it’s okay. I figured I try. Hopefully next time. See you tomorrow” he nodded. It was kind of awkward.
“See you too. And thank you for my phone” said Yasmin. Yasmin finally walked off to her next class.
Afterschool Cloe and Jade met up at Sasha’s house to talk about lots of things. They talked about their magazine. The dance and Cloe talked about her regrets with Cameron that Saturday.
“Well you can’t undo it now” said Sasha.
“I know. I can’t undo it at all. If I fail for the year and get pregnant on top of that my Mom will kill me” said Cloe.
“It’s okay. Just cross your fingers it’ll all be okay” said Jade.
“Yeah like crossing my fingers means I won’t end up a pregnant teen” said Cloe.
“Well everything is a fifty-fifty chance” Sasha reminded her.
“And besides if it’s as great as she says it was she’s gonna do it again and again anyway” said Jade.
“Right” Sasha nodded.
“You two aren’t helping!” Cloe said.
“That’s why next time we can take you down to CVS and get some plan B” said Jade.
“Oh yes. That’s a good idea” said Sasha.
“I mean it might be too late to take it now”
The girls were chilling in Sasha’s room while the music was playing low. They were doing each other’s nails and had ordered some Chinese takeout and were waiting on it to get here.
“Oh shit” Sasha said after she accidentally smeered some purple nail polish on her thumb.
“I totally messed that one up” she reached for a cotton ball and some nail polish remover.
“Seriously who are you two going to the dance with?” Cloe asked.
“I am considering this cool guy named Alek” said Sasha.
“Oh really? How long have you two been talking? Where did you meet him?”
“He’s on the football team. I met him at practice. The one on Thursday afterschool. It turns out he was checking me out. He said I had killed it that day” Sasha bragged.
“Nice” Jade was intrigued.
“Unfortunately he didn’t ask me to the dance yet, but we’ve been taking for weeks now”
“Well what is he waiting for?” Jade asked.
“I don’t know” Sasha shrugged in disbelief.
“What about you Jade?” Cloe asked.
“Koby has been trying to get at me for weeks. No months” Jade corrected herself.
“Koby? No” said Cloe.
“Yeah. I told him once it’s over that it’s over for good”
“Damn” said Sasha.
“He really doesn’t get that when I’m done it truly means I’m done. He keeps blowing up my phone. I had to block him on social media too”
“You wouldn’t even go to the dance with him for one night?” Cloe asked as she painted her nails baby blue perfectly.
“Nope. I can’t stand him, besides I met this guy named Zack in chemistry class who seems down to earth. And I decided to give Iden a chance” said Jade blushing.
“Oh really? That guy who admitted his crush on you on our magazine?”
“Yup” said Jade getting butterflies inside.
“Are you two like a thing now?” Sasha asked.
“No we’re just talking right now, but I figure I keep my options open”
“Well I’m glad my girls are finally giving love another shot” Cloe said proudly.
“Woah. Just dating” said Sasha.
“Well you never know where things could go” Cloe added.
“Yeah but we’re in high school. That stuff’s for older people. I feel like since we’re young we should date exclusively. That relationship stuff is not for me. At least not now” said Jade.
“I agree. I don’t know how you and Yasmin do it” said Sasha.
“Speaking of Yasmin. I miss her. I wish she was here right now and wasn’t missing out on all the fun we’re having” Cloe sighed.
“Yaz is going through it. She totally freaked out on me today” said Jade.
“I told her me and Sasha were looking to find her a date and she went off. She said she didn’t want to play matchmaker and basically said I was too worried about her love life that I should find a date to the dance myself and went off and said it’s mainly the most single people trying to give advice and play matchmaker” Jade explained.
Cloe and Sasha both side eyed each other. They were lost for words.
“Then she had the nerve to say she bet I didn’t find a date yet. Which I guess is true. Damn Yaz”
“Wow!” said Sasha.
“Well what do you think we should do? Go talk to her? Call her?” Cloe asked.
“No!” said Jade.
“I think Yasmin needs us. I hate seeing her like this” said Sasha.
“I think what Yasmin needs is her space. She needs time to process things. Everyone gets over breakups differently. I know Yasmin didn’t mean to hurt your feelings Jade. She’s just hurting right now. But trust me she’ll come back around” Cloe reassured her.
“You’re right” Jade nodded. And Sasha agreed.
Finally the girls had dried off their nails and finally that’s when the food arrived. They all ate and turned Sasha’s speaker up and jammed that afternoon. They planned to paint each other’s toes when they were done eating and talk some more about the dance and what they were going to wear. But they couldn’t stay up too late.
“Yasmin. Pasta is your favorite. You haven’t touched anything from your plate” said her Mother.
“I’m just not hungry” she said still fiddling with her fork.
“Are you going to eat that?” Her Younger brother asked.
“Not today” Yasmin got up and pushed in her chair.
“Well at least let me put it in a bowl and you can come back to it later when you’re hungry” she said.
“No I got it” said Yasmin grabbing her plate and taking it to the counter. She scooped out her spaghetti into a plastic bowl and placed it into the refrigerator and ran upstairs.
She plopped onto her bed. She squeezed her pillow tightly and began asking herself. “Why did you ever?”
She also regretted the way she treated Jade earlier at school and wanted to call her up and apologize. Yasmin felt too sad for that. She didn’t feel like talking to anyone. She hated being this way. She even regretted that as well.
They did say time healed all wounds. Just when Yasmin thought she was doing better something else popped up. Her mind kept going to what Eitan and Cameron were whispering about in class today. And what the guy shouted in the back of class. She still had the balled up note sitting on her desk and wanted to open it. But wanted to save herself the heartache at the same time.
She got up from her bed and decided to open it. She read the note and she knew Eitan’s handwriting. And what was written on that paper wasn’t it. It must’ve been one of Cameron’s notes that he tossed at Eitan. But little did they know Yasmin would end up with it.
Yasmin couldn’t believe her eyes. It was all true. And what she read made her even more sadder and made her stomach hurt.
It read: How was it? Was it better than Yasmin’s?
She felt a little disgusted that Cameron and Eitan could possibly talk about her that way.
Yasmin crumbled it back up and placed it onto her desk and unlocked her phone and went on Instagram. But why did she see Eitan pop up on her Instagram feed.
It was a cute picture of him holding a guitar shirtless. God why did he have to do that? It was enough to make her go wild on the inside. She scrolled below. And there was a picture of him in black and white topless with water dripping all over his chest.
“So he think he’s a model now?” Yasmin said to herself.
He recently posted a whole lot of pictures that took Yasmin’s breath away. She started beating herself up a bit. She began to wonder what did she do. Was there anything she could do to stop this heartbreak. She began feeling like she was the problem. She wondered how she could let him get away like that. But it sucked that he was now in the arms of someone else.
But as soon as she clicked onto his page a picture of the same girl she’s been seeing with him with a lot lately popped up. They had tons of pictures. One was with those two hugging up on each other. Another looked as if they were hanging out at someone’s house partying. Another one was with her in one of his shirts. It looked as if they were in a hotel too.
Why was Yasmin torturing herself. She scrolled down and read the caption. It read: The taste of you of you keeps me coming back for more with heart and water drop emojis. Yasmin did not want to go down to the comment section but she did. There were tons of people who commented and liked it. There were people who were sad that Yasmin and Eitan were no longer a thing and despised the girl. Yasmin didn’t want anyone to hate her, but she felt happy her fans had her back.
There were people in the comments gassing her up and ever telling this girl how beautiful she was and believes that he’s having more fun with this new chick. Yasmin had enough. She had urges to aim her phone across the room, but she was too tired and decided to just cry in her pillow until she fell asleep.
Chapter 5: Best Friends
Chapter Text
Yasmin was walking in the hallway and decided not to wait for her friends. What was happening to her? She usually waits for them every day.
Just as Yasmin opened up her locker that morning Cameron showed up from behind her.
“Boo!” he said.
“My God Cameron. You scared me. You seriously can’t be sneaking up on people like that. Next time warn me” said Yasmin.
Yasmin stopped what she was doing and
looked at Cameron. He stood there with puppy eyes. He needed a favor from her really soon. He knew the dance was coming up and Cloe was his girl. He knew he needed to ask Cloe, but their anniversary was approaching weeks later after the dance and Cameron had no idea what to get her.
“What do you want Cameron?”
“I need your advice. The dance is approaching and so is me and Cloe’s anniversary” he began.
“Oh how sweet”
“My problem is I don’t know what to get her” said Cameron.
Suddenly that’s when Eitan came their way. It was crazy how Yasmin’s mood switched on and off so fast. And also Cameron was supposed to be one of her friends. She didn’t forget how he was talking about her, Eitan and that girl yesterday.
“Wassup” Eitan greeted Cameron and continued to act as if Yasmin didn’t exist. She couldn’t stand it. They both slapped hands. And what instantly came to her mind was all of those pictures last night and what they were doing in class yesterday.
She knew Cameron had to know about the break up. But him and Eitan were like brothers of course she knew Cameron would take his side anyway. Well they were guys after-all. She knew lots of guys always sided with each other whether they were right or wrong and that sucked.
Yasmin ignored them and decided to walk off.
“Figure it out yourself” she said sternly.
Cameron and Eitan were quiet the whole time in class. Thankfully Yasmin could focus and get her work done. After class she met up with her girls again.
She was sick of ignoring them. She missed her best friends and she was ready to move on. It still stung. But she had to get over herself. She finally began to realize that it was Eitan’s life. People changed. And if he lost feelings for her, so what. He didn’t owe her anything. He didn’t have to stick around if he didn’t want to. And Yasmin decided she was no longer going to chase him or feel sorry for herself.
“Hey” said Yasmin walking up to her friends in the hall way before their next class.
She felt shocked that they all rushed over to hug her tightly. She was shocked they didn’t hate her because she’s been a bitch lately.
“I miss you guys” said Yasmin. “We miss you too” said Cloe.
“How are you feeling?” Sasha asked as they all let go.
“A little better now” Yasmin half lied. She was at least going to fake it til she made it.
“That’s good” Sasha patted her shoulder gently.
“I’m sorry I’ve been a bitch lately” said Yasmin.
“stop being so hard on yourself. You needed time to process your feelings” said Cloe.
“No. I owe Jade an apology. What I said to her was truly messed up. I am sorry Jade” said Yasmin.
“I forgive you Yasmin” Jade smiled.
“Best friends?” Yasmin asked.
“Of course. Always!” said Jade and they both hugged again.
“Sleep over at my house this Saturday?” Yasmin asked.
“Yes” They all agreed. Cloe and Sasha didn’t have practice that Saturday. Jade was taking a break from designing clothes so they all would be free that night.
Yasmin was slowly beginning to feel like herself again. And she loved that.
That Saturday night Yasmin had the house all to herself. Her parents were at work and her little brother was spending the night out at their aunt’s. So Yasmin figured that the girls could have a lot more fun. But still not too much fun. Yasmin respected her parents. The night before, she had gotten their permission to throw it while they were gone as long as she behaved and didn’t invite too many people over.
Yasmin had did some cleaning for the day to get ready for them. She straightened up her room and even vacuumed. She got a nice shower in and did her hair and makeup. She threw on her pretty pink pajamas. It was a short set covered in female frogs with crowns on their heads. And the tank top read: Princess in beautiful cursive writing. She had beautiful slippers to match them and couldn’t decide if she wanted to wear the loose robe that came with it.
Yasmin had about thirty more minutes to prepare. She had to find some good movies on Netflix and also decided to prepare the snacks. She had to figure out what they were eating. She knew all the fun activities she had planned.
Just then her doorbell rang and she had went to go answer it. Jade had showed up early. She had on black slippers, long white pajama pants with cats all over them and a red tank top. Her makeup was done perfectly and she had ditched the pigtails. She had placed her night bag in the living room.
“Jade. You look incredible” Yasmin was never unimpressed with Jade’s style as she was the ultimate fashionista of the group.
“Thanks babe. So do you” she welcomed Jade in.
They both hung out at the island in the kitchen and managed to laugh again and talked until Sasha and Cloe showed up minutes late.
Ding. The sound of the doorbell rang.
“Let me go get that” Yasmin placed her cup of fruit punch onto the counter to go open the door for Sasha and Cloe.
“Heyyy” Sasha said excitedly. Sasha had on hoop earrings, she wore long yellow pajama pants with bunnies all over them and a white tank top. Cloe looked gorgeous as well but she was all covered up in a big rain coat and only had slippers on which made Yasmin a bit confused.
“okay it’s not even raining” said Yasmin.
Sasha was carrying her book bag. Not the one for school of course. She also had a big brown bag with a plastic bag around it.
“Hey bitches you’re late!” said Jade from the kitchen.
“Me and Cloe couldn’t think of any last minute things to get, and plus I had picked her up from Cameron’s house. Traffic on the way” Sasha stated.
“Hints why Miss Cloe showed up to my house half naked” Yasmin cleared her throat afterwards causing Sasha and Jade to chuckle.
“Cloe you’re not hot with that rain coat on? And it’s not even raining?” said Jade.
“I literally said the same thing” Yasmin agreed.
“Before you all jump down my throat or slut shame me. It wasn’t like that” said Cloe finally taking her raincoat off and revealing her sexy blue silk nightgown which came right above her knees.
She had her blue slippers on to match.
“Wow. Okay!” Jade said very impressed. Cloe looked incredible. Her hair was perfect and she had diamond studs on.
“I couldn’t find my robe. You know the one like Yasmin has on right now? The one that says Angel?”
“Awww the one I made for you last year?” Jade said feeling so warm inside.
“Yeah”
“Question. Why that night gown over Cameron’s house?” Jade asked.
“I was thinking the same thing” Sasha said.
“Look it’s not like that. Cameron and I decided to spend some time together earlier and I told him I was coming over here. This is what I truly wanted to wear. Besides he was sleeping when I left. Nothing happened I swear”
“Okay we need to see what’s in this bag” Yasmin peeked into the bag Sasha placed on the counter.
Yasmin saw a big bottle of tequila and raspberry flavored vodka”
“Forreal Sasha?”
“Why not? It’s the weekend and we need to have a little fun. Especially you” Sasha said.
“My parents could seriously kill me if they find out that I have been drinking in their house!” said Yasmin.
“Lighten up and have some fun. It’ll all be gone by the morning and we will get rid of the bottles. It’ll be like it never even happened” said Jade.
“Who’s drinking all of that? Not me” said Yasmin.
“Relax” Jade calmed her.
“Sasha do you ever think that you could get in trouble for this?” Yasmin asked.
“Child. I don’t care. Everyone has to live a little and every time I go in there with my ID they actually believe it’s real” Sasha laughed loudly.
“Well I’m gonna have some fun tonight” said Jade.
“Me too. Cloe I don’t know about you”Sasha teased.
“What is that supposed to mean?” It took some time before Cloe realized what Sasha was doing.
“Okay you’re not funny. And you’re not speaking that into existence. I’m gonna drink and have a good ass time tonight” Cloe said confidently.
“Yeah but what if you do end up pregnant?” Sasha asked.
“Then I just won’t drink again”
“Alright. Let’s get this party started. Up to my room” Yasmin lead the girls up to her room and they all brought their bags up and left the alcohol in the refrigerator to stay cool.
Chapter 6: The Night Of Their Lives
Chapter Text
“Can you believe that Valery had the nerve to come up to me Friday and ask can we be friends?” Sasha asked.
“No way!” said Cloe.
“You still barely forgiven her for the time she switched out your lotion with glue” said Jade.
“That took ages for me to wash off, and if that was one of my shampoos instead it would’ve been over for her” said Sasha.
“I heard she’s a little too desperate to be on the cheerleading team” said Cloe.
“Well that’s not happening” Jade sucked her cherry heart shaped lollipop.
“Sure as hell not. Me and her just can’t get along. We have a history of drama” said Sasha.
“Can you believe that Dylan asked her to the dance?” Cloe said.
“Really?” Yasmin’s jaw dropped.
“Yeah, this Thursday that just passed. Apparently they have been secretly dating”
“Ewww” Jade pretended to barf.
“I don’t know what he sees in her. But Dylan can have her. I don’t care”
Finally there was a ring at the doorbell. That means the food was here. They all ran downstairs to go get the food. They ordered two large pizzas, one pepperoni and another cheese. They ordered some breadsticks and some hot wings.
Yasmin had gave the guy a generous tip. The girls decided to eat downstairs and continue their conversation about people from Stiles High.
“I will NOT let her on the team. It’s just not happening” said Sasha.
“I still can’t believe Dylan would take her to the dance” Cloe rolled her eyes while picking at her cheese”
“Speaking of the dance. It’s truly approaching soon. Has Alek asked you yet?” Jade bit into her wing and then took a sip of sprite.
“No not yet. But I am not giving up” Sasha raised her shoulders confidently and then flipped her hair.
“What about you?”
“Iden and Zack both really seem to like me. But neither of them asked me to go to the dance yet” Jade said.
The girls were anticipating her finding a date.
“Which one would you wanna go with if they both asked?” Cloe asked.
“Iden and I were off to a great start and then we haven’t talked in days. I am starting to get to know Zack a bit. He’s cute, but seems a little too shy, so I don’t know” Jade replied.
“I think shy boys are cute” said Yasmin.
Yasmin still didn’t know if she wanted to go to the dance or not. It seemed like everyone would have dates instead of her. But she had to remind herself that she wasn’t the only single one in their friendship circle. That it’s okay to go and have some fun. Yasmin began thinking of Robert. He was kind of cute to her. He was a couple inches shorter than her. But none of that mattered. He seemed really sweet. She began to consider going with him, but she knew Eitan would be there with that Amber girl.
Finally Sasha was the only one with the nerve to ask Yasmin about the dance again.
“Are you sure you made up your mind about the dance?”
“I’m not sure. I’m considering going. MIGHT!” Yasmin sipped her fruit punch.
“Okay! If you go-“
“Don’t ask her, damn. Give her some time” Cloe didn’t give Jade a chance to finish speaking.
“This boy in my Geometry class asked me out the other day”
The girls were so happy for her. Yasmin went into details about what he looked like. What he said and everything.
“Awww Yasmin may have a nerdy lover” Cloe pressed her hands together and began blushing.
“Why didn’t you say yes?” Sasha questioned.
Yasmin had a blank face and didn’t answer right away.
“Oh yeah. I forgot sorry” said Sasha.
“It’s okay” said Yasmin biting into her cheese pizza.
“I am finally starting to feel like myself again”
“That’s good. Yaz. You should totally go with him. Well only if you want to” Jade corrected herself.
“Yeah I’m thinking about it. I realized Eitan doesn’t owe me anything. And I couldn’t force him to stick around. So I have to move on”
“Yes. That bastard will regret it. I’m telling you” said Jade pouring herself another cup of sprite.
“You’re everything anyone could ask for Yasmin. He’s seriously missing out. If I was a- never mind” said Cloe.
“No finish it” Yasmin began smiling widely.
“No you don’t wanna hear what else I was going to say” said Cloe.
“I told her she had a secret lesbian crush on you” Sasha teased.
“I do NOT” Cloe argued defensively.
“If she did. I wouldn’t see anything wrong with it” said Jade finishing her last wing.
“No offense Angel. But I love guys” said Yasmin.
“It’s okay. I can’t have it all. Besides I have Cameron and I really love him”
After the girls got full. They put the leftovers away and went back up to Yasmin’s room to talk some more. About an hour later, the food wore off and they danced around for a while. Afterwards they played a fun game of truth or dare. But the one with a twist. The rules were, you tell the truth or you drink. And if you passed up a dare you had to drink as well. But you only had a certain amount of truths and dares you could pass up. The girls went on for minutes so far and already had drank half of the bottle of vodka. They each took turns asking whoever they wanted.
“Okay Cloe. Truth or Dare?” Jade said.
“Truth”
“Do you actually like Yasmin?”
“No! She’s our best friend and like our sister. Nothing more”
They all shook their heads in agreement. They were all sitting in a circle on Yasmin’s bed. And they all went around.
“Okay. Your turn” Jade said to Yasmin who was beside her.
“Sasha. Truth of Dare?”
“Dare” Sasha said confidently.
“I Dare you to make the first move and ask Alek to the dance. Right now!” Yasmin said.
“Where’s my phone” Sasha said getting up to get her phone from off of the charger. She unlocked it in front of all of them. She had showed all of them proof that she was about to do it. She showed them his number in her phone with a picture of him.
“He’s kind of cute. Almost looks like Zack a bit” Jade said intrigued. Sasha was a little nervous because she had really liked this guy. Sasha began texting him and then sent it. The girls were so hyped. Sasha hurried and plugged her phone back onto the charger.
“Okay. Yasmin. Truth or Dare?” Sasha was also next to Yasmin so she had to ask next.
“Truth. No Dare” she said. Sasha, Cloe and Jade were all shocked that Yasmin had chosen her second dare within minutes of the game. She had a shot of vodka the first time though.
“I dare you to go on Amber’s page on Instagram and send her something mean. Under the comment section and not in private”
Yasmin couldn’t believe Sasha.
“If you don’t I’ll gladly do it for you” said Jade.
“No you don’t have to be like that” said Yasmin.
Yasmin couldn’t decide on whether to take the drink or just go and say something bad about Amber even if she didn’t mean it. But Yasmin wasn’t like that and she could ruin her reputation. She didn’t want to be apart of any drama so she decided to take another shot of vodka.
“Boring” Jade shouted. “Well someone’s getting fucked up tonight” said Cloe just before asking whoever she wanted.
“Jade. Truth or Dare?”
“Dare. I Dare you to send one of your most raunchiest photos to one of your exes. But you gotta give Sasha your phone and let her choose and do it for you “
“Okay” Jade grabbed her phone from Yasmin’s dresser beside her bed and gave Sasha her phone. Sasha found a shirtless picture of Jade with her hands covering her nipples and decided to send it to Koby and then gave it back to her. Jade’s jaw dropped when she realized what Sasha had done. She hated Koby’s guts.
“Sasha I’m gonna kill you. Cloe you too!” They all started laughing loudly for like five minutes straight.
It was finally Jade’s turn again. Jade still dared Cloe to kiss Yasmin just to see if she would truly do it. Cloe got up and acted as if she was going to do it. Sasha and Jade watched eagerly waiting for some action between the girls and then Cloe decided to take a shot of tequila. The game went on and on for hours until one of the bottles was half empty. Yasmin was getting drunk. She was finally living. She knew if her parents found out about her they’d be disappointed. But something came over her. She felt free and for once had no care in the world.
Yasmin laughed and even cried and went on and on about how she missed Eitan. The girls didn’t know what they could do to truly help her get over the guy.
A couple days later all of the girls met up in school.
“I still cannot believe how much fun we had Saturday” Cloe said loud and proud.
“I know I wanna do that again” said Sasha.
“I do not” Yasmin said as she closed her locker.
Just then Jade began laughing hysterically.
“What?” Yasmin asked.
“Jade is finally happy she was able to get you drunk. How devious of her” said Cloe.
“Yeah. You almost threw up all over your own floor. I had to get you to your toilet. You were laughing one minute feeling like you could do anything. You tried to go flying out of your window. We had to stop you fast” Sasha said trying to hold her laugh in.
“I already know this” Yasmin felt embarrassed.
“You went on and on about how you miss Eitan and how are going to get him back somehow and then you started crying about how much he hated you” Jade said.
“I wanted to say this on Sunday. You’re not really over him are you? You can be honest” she added.
“We need to give her some time” said Cloe.
“No. But you know what. I’m okay. It’ll still take some time to process my feelings. I am in the process of accepting what is. I will be okay. And I think I am going to go to the dance”
“What? Yasmin are you sure?” Sasha asked.
“Yes I am going to go meet up with Robert and tell him I changed my mind if only he hasn’t found anyone else. But if not I’ll just go by myself I guess” said Yasmin.
“I am really proud of you girl” said Jade.
“Good luck. You got this. And remember we always got your back” said Cloe as Yasmin finally walked off.
Yasmin met up with Robert minutes before class.
“Hey Robert wait up!” Yasmin stopped him before he entered the classroom. They had enough time because they were both there early. Like fifteen minutes early.
Robert turned right around and gave her the same warm smile he always gave almost anyone he seen. But it was something about the way he looked into her eyes when she spoke. It made her a little confident about what she was about to say to him. But she was also a little scared to look stupid.
Chapter 7: Options
Notes:
Sorry if it’s a little too cheesy. I feel like I am enjoying this. But I know I’ll probably look back at this years later. Like why did I ever? It’s okay. They say practice makes better.
Chapter Text
“So I have been going through a lot lately. And it turns out I will be free and decided I wanted to go to the dance”
Robert paused for a bit. He was in shock. Yasmin’s heart began pounding fast and she didn’t know what he was going to say.
“Are you saying you want to go to the dance with me?” He said as his face lit up again.
“Yes Robert. I Yasmin Ramirez would love to go to the dance with you”
“Yes. Then we got a date.” He smiled causing Yasmin to smile back. Finally the two entered the classroom.
What are you doing Yasmin? You’re not over Eitan. She thought to herself.
Class felt long again and for some reason Eitan didn’t show up. Only Cameron was there.
Yasmin and Cameron didn’t speak for days after the way she talked to him the other day. But Cameron didn’t hold a grudge at all.
“Hey Yasmin” he said just as class was coming to an end.
“Yes Cameron? What is it now?”
“You know?- never mind” Cameron said.
“What was the point of that. I don’t like mind games”
“I said never mind!”
Yasmin rolled her eyes and continued to focus on her paper in front of her. Then she decided to wonder if Cameron knew where Eitan was but she didn’t mean to sound like a stalker.
“Where’s Eitan?” she whispered.
“Aren’t you two broken up?” He asked being a smart ass.
“You didn’t answer my question”
“Oh” Cameron cleared his throat.
“Do you really wanna know?”
“Yeah. That’s why I asked”
“Okay. He skipped class with-“
“Just spit it the fuck out” Yasmin demanded.
Yasmin couldn’t believe herself. She doesn’t usually speak like that as much. But Eitan kind of made her crazy.
“He skipped class with Amber” he said. Cameron hid his face as if Yasmin was going to hit him or something.
Yasmin huffed and puffed.
“You asked for it”
Cameron was right. And Yasmin couldn’t get mad. She could only let it go or find a way to get even with him.
“Does he ever talk about me?”
“Huh?”
“Oh nothing. Forget I said that. Or anything at all. I don’t mean to sound like a stalker. I just want him to be happy”
“Well that’s great” Cameron smiled.
“Quick question. Does he talk about her a lot?”
“A lot”
“Does he like her a lot?” Yasmin asked her last question before the bell rang.
“A lot!”
“Okay” Yasmin shook her head and then the bell rang.
“Please do not tell him I said anything” she said collecting her books.
“Don’t worry. I got you” said Cameron gathering his.
“I mean it Cameron!” Yasmin said with a grimacing look on her face.
“I pinky swear”
They rushed out for their next class. Later on that day all of the girls had met up for lunch and they had good laughs. Yasmin’s next class was band. She was always happy to be there. It was one of her favorite classes. Music was her life as well as fashion and literature. Yasmin had an incredible voice and could sing her heart out. She could also play lots of instruments. The class was filled with people from different backgrounds and even different grades. This was her safe place beside her friends.
The band was singing and rehearsing for a long time, but Yasmin didn’t mind it.
They had missed their old teacher. She knew what she was doing. They were wondering why this new teacher had to come and rearrange things. They all believed this girl sounded great. But the teacher still didn’t want her to sing for the big show.
After class Yasmin was gathering her books and began singing one of her and her friend’s favorite songs. It was ghostin by Ariana Grande. That was still one of Yasmin’s favorite albums of her.
The class was basically empty. There was this dude who kept looking her way. Yasmin didn’t even notice. He was a little tall and handsome. He dressed really nice and was a senior though. But those two barely talked nor remembered each other’s names despite Yasmin being apart of the Bratz and truly popular.
But deep inside he believed she was truly beautiful, and he always admired her voice every time she sang in class. But he never took the time to tell her until now.
“That was truly beautiful. You sound so amazing” he finally broke the silence. She finally laid eyes on him. He caught her full attention.
“Thanks a lot” Yasmin smiled at him and he smiled back.
Yasmin thought that he was really handsome. But sort of wasn’t in the mood to stay back and hold a conversation. She had a lot of things on her mind. She was preoccupied with the dance and Eitan was stuck in her head and she couldn’t get him out. She didn’t know what this guy was trying to do. But she wasn’t ready for another heartbreak. So she kind of wanted to keep her distance from this dude.
Yasmin was a sucker for looks, but it was the heart that usually captured her and kept her heart. She wasn’t as moody as she was weeks ago. But she had to leave sooner.
“I know I don’t speak much. But if someone is that amazing. I believe they should know” he spoke with his dark brown eyes looking into hers. Yasmin felt elated to receive such a compliment, but she was also hoping things would stay the same between her and this guy she barely talked to despite his good looks. He was taller than Eitan in stature. He had nice smooth tan skin just like hers and dark brown hair.
“Thanks a whole lot. I really appreciate it” she said.
“No problem. I’ll see you around okay” he said.
“I’ll see you too” she said.
But before he walked off he felt a little rude for not introducing himself.
“I’m Braden by the way” he turned back around.
“I’m Yasmin. Nice to meet you. Or nice to finally speak with you” she said.
He smiled and nodded causing Yasmin to smile back nervously before they both parted ways.
At the end of the day. Yasmin, Sasha, and Jade all decided to do their homework over Cloe’s that day. They all talked about the details of their days. Yasmin even talked about her and Cameron’s conversation today. Sasha could not focus on her homework because she was too busy thinking of Alek. Sasha was anticipating his reply for days ever since the sleepover on Saturday. But Sasha found out his phone was broke. When he got it fixed he got the text and was planning on asking her anyway but was trying to find the right time. Sasha was head over heels for him.
Jade and Iden were getting closer again and Jade was leaning more towards going to the prom with him until Zack finally got the balls to ask her. Jade really liked Iden. She liked Zack too, but she agreed to still go to the dance with him to have some fun. And if it turned into something more she knew she would be in trouble. But what she was doing wasn’t wrong at the moment because she was still technically single.
Cloe and Cameron were happier than ever. Cameron and Cloe were going to the dance together without a doubt. Cloe knew her and Cameron’s anniversary was coming up and she still hadn’t brought it up to him yet. She was caught up in the moment and just wanted to focus on each day as it came by. Not tomorrow and not even yesterday. She was trying to lay low on stressing like she usually does.
Yasmin didn’t even want to waste any more of her time talking about Eitan skipping class with Amber. She was so tired of mentioning his name. She decided to go on about how happy she was about going to the dance with Robert and how she thinks he’s kind of cute for a nerdy guy. She didn’t bother to mention the guy from band. But she slowly started believing she had options out there.
Yasmin thought about Braden and thought he was really handsome. But her focus was on going to the dance with Robert. And she had to get to know a person first. And Yasmin wasn’t that easy.
“Well look at us. We all have dates!” Cloe bragged.
“I know. Finally” said Jade.
“Yasmin. I’m so happy for you. I’m happy for us all” said Cloe.
“Me too” said Yasmin.
“Jade has so many options out there” said Sasha flipping the pages of her textbook.
“What do you mean?” Jade asked confused.
“You’re talking to Iden, going to the dance with Zack. You got Koby still chasing you” Sasha explained.
“Yeah it’s because of that picture you decided to send him on my phone. Don’t think I forgot. He was out of my hair until you did that. I’m gonna get you back” said Jade.
“Bitch you wish” Sasha joked playfully. Jade had a frown on her face.
Yasmin and Cloe laughed loudly.
“Oh and you forgot to tell them about that note you got from that nameless person in the crack of your locker today” Sasha just had to remind her.
“Okay!”
Jade decided to go into details of what happened after lunch.
“Really?” Cloe said writing down the answer to her math problem.
After the girls finished the last of their homework. They all packed up their books for the day. But sadly they all couldn’t stay late because they had school in the morning.
“Cheers to us being best friends for life!” said Cloe though they couldn’t do anymore drinking.
“Let’s all take a selfie” she added.
They all sat at the edge of Cloe’s bed and all took tons of goofy pictures. Their last one was a serious one. Cloe had plans to post it on the gram. She knew they’d make headlines like always. She captioned it. Best Friends For Life!
Chapter 8: The Big Night
Notes:
Things are about to get good!
Chapter Text
Finally the night had arrived. Tonight the Bratz were supposed to be having the time of their lives. They were all excited. They all decided to all get ready at Cloe’s house and their dates were supposed to be meeting them there as well.
“Awww look at my baby!” Cloe’s Mom couldn’t stop crying. She kept getting super emotional over Cloe and how beautiful she looked.
Cloe loved the praise. But she couldn’t find her diamond studs she was planning on wearing to the party. She began freaking out.
“My baby is growing up” her Mother continued.
“Okay Mom. Enough!” Cloe said feeling a bit embarrassed as all of the girls were in the process of preparing.
“You all look gorgeous by the way” she said placing her hand over her mouth dramatically trying to hold back her tears.
“Thanks Mrs. Henderson” said Yasmin.
Jade and Sasha also felt really flattered.
“Ooh let me help you” she added attempting to help Cloe tie her dress.
“I got it Mom” she said. That didn’t stop her.
“Serious Mom. Leave!” she demanded.
“Okay. I’ll back off. But you girls have a good night. I love you” she said finally leaving.
“Okay Mom!” Cloe said struggling to find her other stud.
“Cloe! That was rude” Yasmin said finishing the last touches to her face.
“Someone had to tell her. And about that. She knows I love her. I do it to her all the time. Okay seriously if I do not find my other diamond earring I am going to have a freak out of a lifetime”
“You mean this?” Jade held out a diamond stud that resembled the one that was already in her ear.
“Thank you so much Jade. You’re a life saver” Cloe felt so relieved.
The girls all decided to wear the same dresses. But they were different colors. Jade wore black. Sasha wore silver. Yasmin wore gold. Cloe wore a dark blue color. They all had on short sparkling dresses on that stopped at their thighs. Cloe had a side bun. Sasha had a top knot bun. Jade’s straight hair was slicked back. Yasmin decided to let her dark brown curls down loosely that night.
Finally the girls were ready and there was a ring at the doorbell.
They had all grabbed their mini purses that matched and went downstairs to see Cameron standing at the door in his matching tuxedo holding a bouquet of flowers.
“Well hello!” said Cloe very happy to see Cameron. Her face had lit up in excitement. And she loved the white flowers.
“Hello my lovely lady” said Cameron inching closer to them and then they began to lock lips.
When they were done. Cameron decided to hand Cloe the flowers.
“This is for my special lady tonight” he said.
“Thank you so much Cameron. They’re so beautiful” she said not knowing where to put them.
“Hello!” Cameron greeted all of the girls.
They all waved back. They were happy for Cloe. She decided to put her flowers in her vase.
Finally behind him came Robert. He was dressed in a black tux and had a rose hanging out of the pocket of his shirt.
“Hey” he said.
“Hey” Yasmin walked closer to him.
“You look incredible”
“So do you” Yasmin said as they held hands and looked into each other’s eyes. Yasmin then introduced them to everyone and they all waved and seemed to have gotten along well.
“Oh this is for you” he said taking the red rose out of his pocket and handing it to Yasmin”
“Well thank you!” said Yasmin.
“I want flowers” Jade whined.
Alek came minutes later and greeted Sasha. He really complimented her and admired the way she looked. Then he introduced himself.
They waited minutes to see Zack. But sadly he didn’t show up. Jade didn’t know what she was going to do. She didn’t want to look like an idiot, and she felt like one.
“Okay. If we wait around any more minutes we’ll be late” said Sasha.
“But my date!” said Jade.
“Relax girl. Just dance by yourself” said Sasha.
“Well at least you got a date” said Jade. Jade almost felt jealous of her friends. She couldn’t believe that her date would just do something like that. He really stood her up. She almost felt like she was better off going with Iden. But he had already promised to go with a friend. At least he was honest. And she respected that.
They couldn’t wait around anymore. And finally decided to get into their limo.
Jade felt embarrassed and so badly wished she could jump out of the limousine and turn back around and undress and hide herself forever.
“I told my brother to just come already” Alek began.
“Is your brother like you?” Sasha sat really close to Alek and could just get lost in his eyes for days.
“We’re the complete opposite” he said.
“How old is your brother?” Sasha asked.
“The same age. We’re twins” he said.
Sasha and Alek were engaging in a conversation getting to know each other more. Cloe and Cameron were acting all lovey dovey like always. Robert and Yasmin were just quiet. They kept smiling at every body but were sitting super close.
Jade wasn’t in the best mood.
“His name is Zack”
“Zack!” said Jade.
“Excuse me. What’s your name again?” Alek asked.
“I’m Sasha’s best friend Jade”
“You’re the one my brother couldn’t stop talking about” he said across from where Jade was shaking his head.
“Where is he? He’s your twin brother. Why didn’t he come with you?” Jade asked feeling very angry with his brother.
“He was running late because he was out running some errands and I guess he decided to not come” Alek shrugged.
“That’s really funny” Jade said sarcastically with the most straight face ever.
“I’m so sorry that happened” said Alek rubbing his hand gently on Sasha’s thigh.
“No you’re cool” said Jade.
“I told him to bring his ass and come on. But he’s a little shy. But that’s no excuse. He at least should’ve told you. What he did was fucked up. I’m truly sorry”
“No no. It’s okay” Jade sort of lied.
She thought Alek was kind of hot. Jade’s first impression of the twins is that Alek is the outgoing, fun and cool confident one and that Zack was probably the more quiet and laid back one. The one who’s probably shy and wouldn’t know what to do with a girl.
Jade couldn’t stop looking over in Alek and Sasha’s direction. Those two hit it off pretty well and Jade believed Sasha was truly a lucky girl. If those two had became serious Jade would have loved to be the last person to mess that up. She quickly turned her head because she didn’t want to look like a creep.
The ride wasn’t that long. They all began engaging in a conversation with each other and got along pretty well. They couldn’t wait to get there, but at the same time they didn’t want the limo ride to ever end.
Finally when they got there. There was loud funky music playing in the gymnasium. The base was so loud you could feel it vibrating as soon as you walked into the school. Lots of Stiles High students were there. The majority were juniors.
“Ooh this is my jam” said Yasmin. The girls were surprised to see Yasmin breaking out of her shell already dancing in front of Robert.
“Me too” Robert smiled but he didn’t move one inch of his body.
“Let’s go dance!” said Yasmin pulling him away from the girls.
“I am so happy for Yasmin” said Jade.
“What are you gonna do?” said Sasha.
“Hang out here. Eat some snacks and drink some punch I guess” said Jade grabbing a plate and grabbing some refreshments.
“Awww don’t be like that. You should have a good time” said Sasha.
“I’m going to call my brother” said Alek.
“No it’s okay. I’ll be alright” Jade lied. She popped a pretzel in her mouth.
Alek and Sasha stuck around and were truly worried about Jade. If Alek’s twin brother would’ve showed up like he was supposed to then they both wouldn’t feel the need to babysit Jade. Jade wanted to keep herself from getting even more aggravated.
“No I’m serious. Don’t worry about me. You two go have some fun. Go dance or something” said Jade going in on her pretzels.
Sasha and Alek both looked into each other’s eyes and smiled, they held hands and walked off.
Cloe and Cameron were dancing the night away. They both couldn’t help but groove to every song that played until they took a break and went to the snacks.
“Oh Jade must’ve left” said Cloe.
“Where do you think she went?” Cameron asked.
“I don’t know. Probably on the dance floor right now” said Cloe.
“Probably. I feel like that Zack dude not showing up shouldn’t stop her” said Cameron as they both grabbed plates.
“Exactly” Cloe agreed.
“But what that dude did to her has got to suck. You think she’s gonna be okay? You’re not gonna go check on her?”
“I know Jade. And she will be just fine. She’s very independent and loves to stand on her own. There she is right there!” Cloe pointed out to Jade moving to the beat of the song. Just as it ended she made her way back over to where they were.
“See?” Cloe added. They both smiled as Jade came back over and grabbed a chocolate cupcake.
“I seen you down a whole plate of pretzels earlier. The carbs!” Cloe commented as she went straight for the fruit tray.
“Don’t you fat shame me and think you’re miss perfect because you got some strawberries and grapes on your plate” Jade fussed.
Cameron began searching around for what he might want. He grabbed a piece of a sub off of one of the trays.
“I’m not miss perfect. I’m just trynna watch my figure” said Cloe.
“Okay” said Jade not believing a thing she said.
“Are you having fun?” Cloe asked. “For the millionth time I am fine. I’m standing on my own and I’m having such a great time! I don’t need no guy” Jade bragged while shamelessly filling up her plate.
“See?” Cloe turned around and looked at Cameron. He was confused and lost in his own world.
“I’m gonna get back to the dance floor after I finish” said Jade. Cloe glanced at Jade’s plate which had some chips, more pretzels and a cookie, plus a a mini sub.
Cloe only had fresh fruit on her plate and decided to drink water.
“Jade. We’d think you’re the pregnant one”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” said Jade.
“The way you’ve been eating lately. You’ve been throwing down the whole night, and I seen the way you ate at Yasmin’s sleepover. Have you and Iden- you know?”
“Hell No. at least not yet. We were just talking. And I’m smarter than that” Jade said stuffing her face.
“And that means I’m not?” Cloe asked.
“Is there something you wanna tell us Cloe?” Jade asked.
“Besides I’m just hungry and haven’t eaten all day” she added.
“No I honestly don’t know yet. I haven’t taken a test yet. I haven’t missed my period. It’s not yet due. But when the time comes we’ll see if I miss it or not” said Cloe.
Cameron was talking to Dylan and some of his other guy friends til they left and snapped out of the moment and heard what Cloe said.
“What?!” he asked.
“See what you did?”
“Hey you’re the one who brought it up. The whole pregnancy thing” said Jade causing Cameron to feel worried. His facial expression was a mixture between shock and anxiety.
“Cameron. Good luck with this one tonight” Jade said walking past Cameron.
Jade went to go find a table to eat at.
“What was that all about?” Cameron asked.
“Nothing. My friends keep bringing up the idea of me being pregnant. You know from the night we did it on your couch? Ughh yeah this is awkward” Cloe started looking away.
“Yeah we don’t need that anytime soon” said Cameron scratching his head.
“Yeah I agree” said Cloe.
“You know if you want. I can run to the store and get a test” said Cloe.
“That would be good. And even if you were we’d figure something out” said Cameron.
“Forreal Cameron?” Cloe asked.
“Yes. I love you” said Cameron causing Cloe to forget about the fruit in front of her. She inched closer to Cameron and kissed his cheek. Before they could finish their food. One of their favorite slow songs came on and they tossed their leftovers into the trash can nearby and went right back onto the dance floor.
“You know I’m not really familiar with all of these songs” said Robert.
“Really. I’m shocked some of this music is really popular” said Yasmin as they were dancing super close.
Robert was a little nervous and awkward earlier. But learned to relax a bit. Yasmin even taught him to ballroom dance a little.
“Yeah it’s just that, dancing is just not my thing and I don’t really listen to popular stuff” Robert admitted.
“It’s okay. Everyone has different tastes and dancing is clearly not for everyone” said Yasmin.
“I know. To be honest I couldn’t stop laughing at that guy earlier with the giant Afro. You should’ve seen him” laughter escaped Robert just as the picture replayed in his mind.
“Yes. I think I know who you’re talking about. He had no care in the world” Yasmin bursted into laughter as well. They both laughed loud and then got quiet for a bit.
“So what do you do you like to do?” Yasmin asked as they continued to spin and waltz around the dance floor.
“Besides work and school, and reading comics. I’m really into art. I like to sketch. I can show you some of my previous work if you want” said Robert.
“Yes I’d love to see” said Yasmin excitedly.
“What about you?” He asked.
“I have a passion for singing. I’m in band and me and my friends all run this really popular magazine…”
Yasmin and Robert were enjoying getting to know each other all until her eyes landed on Eitan who was standing nearby. His hands were wrapped around Amber’s waist, and she saw the way he looked at her. No one or nothing could take his eyes off of her.
Focus Yasmin. Don’t you walk off Yasmin. Keep having fun Yasmin. All of these thoughts began popping into her head. And she finally remembered why she didn’t want to come in the first place.
“Is everything okay? Robert asked. “You seem kind of distracted.
Yasmin had to come up with a quick excuse.
She held her stomach and ran off of the dance floor.
“Excuse me” Yasmin broke away from Robert. She felt incredibly awful.
She luckily found Sasha who was sitting by herself at one of the tables.
“Where’s Alek?” she asked.
“He had an important phone call. He said he’ll be back” said Sasha.
“I knew this is why I didn’t want to come” Yasmin took a seat.
“He’s here?” Sasha asked.
“With Amber” Yasmin added. “Of course!”
“Yeah. You should see the way he’s looking at her. That’s the way he used to look at me. I cannot do this. I’m going home”
“No you cannot. Yasmin. What about Robert?” Sasha asked.
“You’re right!”
“I wanna cry. Like every time I see him. It’s like a trigger” Yasmin said. Real tears began welling up in her eyes.
“Yasmin don’t do this to me girl. Not tonight” Sasha said rubbing her back.
Suddenly Alek came back happier than ever and in the mood to groove again and that’s when he was confused as ever and didn’t know what to say when he saw Yasmin crying.
“Did I come back at the wrong time?” He asked.
“Sorry Alek. Can you give us just a minute?” Sasha asked getting up from her seat.
She pulled Yasmin up.
“Get up.” she said. Alek stepped back and was lost for words and let the girls do their thing.
Sasha and Yasmin had made it to the girls restroom. At first they checked every stall to make sure no one could hear their conversation. Sasha held her and gave her tons of tissues.
“It’s gonna be alright. Remember what you came for” said Sasha.
“It really freaking sucks. I was having a good time and I feel awful. I’m not trying to use Robert at all” said Yasmin.
“I know. Don’t beat yourself up. He’s just your date to the dance and that’s all”
“But he’s kind of cute as well” Yasmin said wiping her tears up.
“So do you actually like him?”
“No. Well kind of. But he doesn’t make me forget about Eitan. He’s not him” Yasmin was honest.
“Well I think you should go and be honest with him. Only if he tries to take it to another level. Just be truthful. Forget it. Forget that jerk” said Sasha.
As soon as that came out of her mouth. Amber entered the restroom. She looked very happy and had this glow about her. She also dressed super nice.
“And here she goes” said Sasha.
“Sasha?” Yasmin couldn’t believe her. She was loud.
“Excuse me?” Amber asked.
“I believe we met before” Sasha said boldly.
“Oh yeah. The mean girl who was too good to let me on the cheerleading team for some reason. I’ve been nothing but nice. You know that should be against the rules”
“I’m Sasha Renee Johnson and I do whatever the hell I want”
“Okay Sasha calm down. She didn’t do anything wrong” said Yasmin.
“Besides steal your man and You’re gonna let this broad get away with it?”
“Excuse me?”
“Or would you prefer slut?” Sasha said.
“What?” Amber said in shock.
“I heard about all those racy leaked pics. And we heard all about you and Eitan skipping class to go fuck under the bleachers in the gym. Eitan is not who he say he is. You’ll be shocked to know what he did to this girl right here. You be careful boo” said Sasha.
“Yeah whatever bitch” Amber said. Yasmin’s girls always had her back. What happened to her sucked. And everyone in Stiles High knew good and well that Yasmin and Eitan were once an item and that he was the one that broke up with her. None of the girls could stand the sight of Amber.
“What?” Sasha made an attempt to take her earrings off.
“Sasha stop it. Enough” Yasmin said calming her.
“Let’s go” said Yasmin and they both left the bathroom. Robert was standing right there.
“You go talk to him alright” said Sasha walking off to go find Alek.
“Okay” said Yasmin.
“You alright?” Robert asked.
“Yeah how did you find me?”
“I assumed you weren’t feeling well so of course you’d be in the bathroom” he said.
“I’m sorry about earlier. I’m feeling better now” Yasmin lied.
They both went back to the party.
After Amber finished using the bathroom she went back to Eitan again.
“Babe. We need to talk!” she said pulling him out of the crowd.
Amber has also been receiving so much hate online from the girls fans for being with Eitan. The Eitan and Yasmin shippers were going hard. Calling her out of her name and being very disrespectful. Amber felt like she never hurt anyone. Eitan chose her after all and she did nothing to deserve it.
“What is it babe?” He asked.
“I can’t do this anymore” she said.
“Oh no” Eitan instantly felt like karma was biting him in the ass when those words slipped from her mouth.
“No just the dance. I think we should leave” said Amber.
“But I’m having a good time. And I just spoke with Cameron and Dylan.
“I get that. But I don’t feel like I belong. The Bratz fans hate me. And I don’t appreciate that cheerleader girl calling me out of my name and shit. I did nothing to her. And she hates me for no reason”
“I still love you. Don’t worry about them. I don’t care about what people say about us” Eitan inched closer and grabbed her cheek and made an attempt to kiss her. She grabbed his hand and pushed him away.
“No Eitan I’m serious. I might lose it tonight. A fight almost happened in the bathroom and she said you did something to some girl who was in the bathroom with her. She looked like she was crying. Like her eyes were bloodshot red. She told me to watch my back or something like that. She made it seem as if you’re some bad person and will hurt me too.” Amber admitted.
Eitan knew exactly who she was talking about. And he was going to solve the issue tonight.
“We’re gonna get to the bottom of this” said Eitan.
“That’s why I love you” she said finally giving him a peck on the lips.
Finally they walked off and searched through the crowd. Things could get messy tonight…
Chapter 9: Drama On The Dance Floor
Notes:
Here’s a new chapter. Things are getting steamy and there is drama!!!
Chapter Text
Sasha and Alek felt closer than ever. They have gotten to know each other a lot more. They were having the time of their lives and they both didn’t want the night to ever end. But they kept having interruptions. That was no way for a date to go.
“What was that all about?” Alek asked.
“Nothing. Just girl problems and stuff. It’s too much to talk about right now?” said Sasha.
The two were both sitting at the table. Then they both went to go find a quiet spot outside of the gymnasium where no one else was. They decided to hang out in one of the open classrooms on the second floor.
“It seems like too much drama tonight” said Alek.
“Yeah. Tonight is probably not the best for everyone. But I’m here for you” Sasha as she moved closer to Alek placing her index finger atop his lips. She then wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Are you having a good time?” she added as they both rocked back and forth.
“Yes I’m having a great time” Alek smiled. He truly enjoyed himself with Sasha despite all of the drama and the interruptions.
His hand was then wrapped around her waist and then made his way to her butt and squeezing it softly.
“This is the only place I could find where we could both be alone and away from the crowd. I’m so tired of all of the distractions. I feel like this is the perfect time to just focus on us” said Sasha leaning in to kiss Alek.
The kiss felt so warm and passionate and his breath smelled so good.
Sasha had pulled away and didn’t know what she was doing. She couldn’t do it in the classroom on the night of the dance.
“Why did you stop?” Alek asked. “This is not the time or the place” said Sasha realizing where this night could end.
Sasha was truly hot. Alek was very attracted to her and she had started something. He felt like he could take her right where they were. And he was not taking no for an answer.
The two spent time admiring each other and the next minute there they were making out even longer. Sasha was sitting on the teacher’s desk with her dress pulled up and Alek’s shirt coming off and Sasha began to unbuckle his pants…
Jade still managed to have the time of her life. She finally met up with Iden. He had just found her sitting alone.
“Hey what are you doing sitting alone by yourself?” said the dark haired hot cheeky guy.
“My date didn’t show up for some reason” Jade admitted.
“What? That’s gotta suck”
“Yeah. Well I’m over it. I still plan on having a good night” Jade was truly over it. She was very happy to see Iden.
“That’s good. That’s great” he nodded.
“Where’s your date?” Jade asked confused as to why he was alone.
“She poured punch on her dress and just had to go wash it off and kept having to take phone calls from her Mom. We tried to dance but she kept stepping on my toes and she doesn’t know how to keep up” said Iden.
“Wow I’m sorry. Well why don’t you wait for her or give her another chance?” Jade questioned.
“Because I saw you sitting here”
“Awww how sweet. You better go find her. I’m sure she’s waiting for you” said Jade.
“No I’m gonna stay right here” Iden didn’t want to sound so desperate but he wanted to be with Jade that night.
“Was the date that bad? If so I am so sorry”
“I almost couldn’t wait for the night to be over” he said.
“Damn. I feel so sorry for you” Jade felt bad that Iden wasn’t having a good night.
“I feel sorry for you. Getting stood up has to be one of the worst things to happen to anyone on the first date”
“And it looks like you had a bad date. Looks like things didn’t work out in both of our favors tonight”
“Yep. Sadly” Iden shrugged.
“Do you think that maybe things happened this way for a reason?” Jade said realizing what happened to both of them that night. She began to believe they were probably meant to go to the dance together instead.
“Now I’m kind of wondering that as well”
“You wanna go dance?” Jade asked.
“Why not?” Iden felt relieved and ready to get back on the dance floor quickly. He felt happier again.
Jade and Iden danced the night away. Iden had a fun this time around. He felt like something was missing earlier and he believed he found the reason why. They both had more rhythm. They were more in sync and when they got close, their bodies fit more perfectly. Iden loved every thing about Jade. Not just looks. It was the way she walked, the way she talked. He found her sense of humor incredible. And he loved that she had no care in the world. She was always unapologetically herself. He found that very hot.
Yasmin and Robert were back at it again. Dancing again. They were quiet for a while. Robert felt like he didn’t know what to say and Yasmin just wanted to disappear and hide.
“Are you sure you’re alright. I noticed your eyes” said Yasmin.
“They were red and your make-up”
“smeared? I know. Sorry about that” Yasmin said looking away.
“Don’t worry you still look great!” Robert smiled. Yasmin wasn’t having as much fun as she was an hour ago.
“Thanks!” she said.
“You alright? You keep looking away”
“Look Robert. There’s something I need to tell you-“
Yasmin had to tell him the truth that she had just gone through a tough break up and that she’s still hurting. She so badly wanted to tell him how sorry she was for letting him take her to the dance and waste his time. And that she’s sorry she’s not that interested at all.
But before she could get a word out she heard a voice in the crowd from a familiar voice saying “That’s one of the girls. The one who was crying!”
Amber was pointing right at Yasmin. She began to think. Oh God. What will Robert think of me now?
She felt like this could all blow up in her face. Not being truthful with Robert.
“YASMIN!” she heard the deep voice of Eitan yelling.
“Oh now he wants to talk” Yasmin said in a low tone causing Robert the most confusion in the world. Eitan was looking all over for Yasmin and Sasha, but mainly Sasha. They both couldn’t find her anywhere.
“Forreal?” Yasmin could tell Eitan was very irritated but she didn’t care. She no longer was having the best night of her life. She could smell disaster already.
“Yasmin. I know you hear me calling you” Eitan was pissed.
“What’s this about?” Robert asked.
“We’ll talk later. Let’s go!” Yasmin made an attempt to pull him out of the crowd so that they can go some place quiet.
“No I don’t think so” Eitan made his way closer to them barging in between them separating the two.
“Eitan. What the fuck?” Yasmin yelled angrily.
“Where the fuck is Sasha?” Yasmin was even more angry and sad. Eitan never used to talk to her that way or tone before.
“Why? I don’t know. And I don’t appreciate you taking to me like you lost your mind” she argued.
The music had stopped and the former favorite couple of Stiles High had everyone’s attention, but not in a good way this time.
“I’m surprised you don’t know. She’s your best friend and you tell each other damn near everything. So this is what you’re doing?” Eitan was red and began to sweat. He had the most mean look on his face.
“Doing what Eitan? I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Robert stepped back and didn’t know what to say. He lived in his own world. But he watched them argue closely.
“Fine go cry and play the victim and make everyone believe I’m such an awful person and you’re miss innocent all the time”
It finally hit Yasmin. And she knew that chick had to had told Eitan what happened in the bathroom with Sasha.
Yasmin stood there quietly and let Eitan yell like a fool.
“And now Amber has to pay for our breakup. What all are you telling your friends. You know what I don’t even care. Tell your friends to leave us alone” Eitan yelled.
“You think-“
“I’m not done! I don’t know and I don’t care all you tell them. Because me and you are through”
“You make that perfectly clear everyday” Tears began filling Yasmin’s eyes. And finally Jade, Iden, Cloe and Cameron made themselves present in the middle of the dance floor confused as to what was going on. But they caught on really fast.
“You honestly think I’d try to hurt you Huh? You’re really funny” said Yasmin standing still and trying to be as calm as a dove she usually is.
“What’s funny to me is how you got Sasha calling her all sorts of names. Do me a favor and tell that bitch to leave us the hell alone!”
People had their phones out recording their whole argument. Yasmin felt defenseless. She felt alone. Her own date didn’t even jump in once to defend her. And Amber allowed Yasmin to take all the heat for Sasha’s actions and never meant to hurt the poor girl. But she knew her friends would back her up.
“I believe that bitch you’re talking about is my friend” Jade got closer to Eitan. Cloe could not hold her tongue any longer but Cameron did not want her getting involved in their mess.
Eitan got quiet for a bit then spoke again.
“I don’t know what y’all got going on, but tell Sasha and Yasmin to leave us alone”
Yasmin felt so heartbroken by his words.
“Excuse me don’t you dare talk about my friends like that. And Yasmin is hurt. Yes hurt” Cloe stepped in.
“Look at what you did you jackass!” Jade pointed to Yasmin crying. Cloe moved Yasmin’s way and began comforting her while Jade and Eitan continued to go at it.
“I don’t owe her anything. She’s walking around making me look like a bad person and I-“
Finally Yasmin got her shit together and was ready to speak again. She cut him off briefly.
“You really seemed to have changed ever since you broke up with me. Walked around like you didn’t know me, like we had nothing. You think you’re the shit because you’re parading some hot girl around. And now I’m the bad one? You’ll never find another girl like me. I’m getting hell for Sasha’s words. Shit I didn’t even do. That’s not fair. after all of that I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. I still love you and can’t help that I want you. But I want you to be happy. I didn’t do anything to you. I didn’t do anything bad to Amber and I would never. And I didn’t do anything to deserve this”
Eitan stood there silently and was lost for words. What they had did come to mind and maybe he was being such a jerk, but what Sasha did was uncalled for and he didn’t appreciate Yasmin going around making him look like a bad guy. At least that’s what he thought.
“Is that it?” He asked. Jade and Cloe were appalled at his words and the fact that those words were all be had to say to her. No apology or nothing to her. No sympathy.
“What a shame” Jade shook her head.
“You know what Eitan? All I did was be good to you. But those days are over now. Fuck You!” Yasmin put up her middle finger and then stormed off.
Robert was lost for words and didn’t know what to say or do.
“What the fuck are you looking at?” Eitan looked Robert’s way.
“Let’s go baby” Eitan said to Amber. Amber grabbed his hand and walked off with a smirk on her face. They left the dance early.
“Anyone want anymore punch?” A random guy yelled from the crowd.
“Can someone turn the music back on?”
“We need to go find Yasmin and Sasha” said Cloe grabbing Jade. But before they could make it past the crowd. That’s when they spotted Zack making his way through the double doors.
“Jade. I am so sorry. Let me explain” He said.
“It’s a little too late for that now buddy”
“Look please. Just give me another chance” Zack begged and pleaded.
“Come on!”
“Cloe. Let’s walk away fast!” Jade demanded in a whispering tone.
“Please!” They left him looking like a lost puppy.
Chapter 10: Nothing Else To Say
Notes:
Disclaimer: I Do NOT own Instagram, just putting that out there!
Chapter Text
Yasmin was still distraught about last night and how Eitan really tried to humiliate her and make her look like a crazy ex girlfriend just over some words that were spewed at his girlfriend in the bathroom.
She began to believe it was over for them for good. That he must really love her that much. Really? that fast? She thought. But then she thought. He could do what he wanted. She was okay with it now. She began to feel he would never get her back again even if he ever realized what he missed out on and tried to come back. She had nothing else to say to him. She wanted him out of her mind for good and out of her life forever.
Yasmin replayed the video someone took of them arguing in the middle of the dance floor and everything. Everyone everywhere was talking about the Bratz again. But those two made headlines. Now everyone began accusing Yasmin of being this villain. Lots of people were believing that she was this evil person disguising herself as innocent. She never believed she’d ever compromise her true self or go against her morals, but Eitan drove her very close last night. And for once everyone was praising Amber and felt bad for her everywhere knowing what Sasha did. And Yasmin was over it.
Yasmin finally decided she was going to stay off of Instagram at least for a couple days. Suddenly the doorbell rang.
She did not want to answer it at all. She ran straight downstairs in hopes that it was her girls. But usually they didn’t show up to her house unannounced unless they were truly worried about her.
She opened it to Eitan. She felt shocked, sad, but even more infuriated and she wanted to make sure he knew exactly how she truly felt.
She made an attempt to shut the door in his face, but he didn’t let that happen. He was stronger and opened it back up. Yasmin gave him the most gruesome stare.
“You got a lot of nerve showing up at my house” she began.
“We need to talk” Eitan said.
“Does Amber know you’re here?” Yasmin folded her arms while rolling her eyes.
“No”
“Shouldn’t you be with her?” Yasmin asked.
Eitan paused for a bit. And Yasmin didn’t want him to waste her time.
“What the hell do you want?” she asked.
“I’m not used to this new Yasmin” he said.
“Well this is all you’re gonna get. Now hurry up and make it fast!” she said boldly.
“You know what I’m not doing this” he gave up and walked away.
“Okay bye. Don’t you come back to my fucking house ever again. Got me looking crazy in front of everyone. Lose my number too!” she yelled and slammed the door. But then Eitan couldn’t just give up that easy. He came back and banged on the door before Yasmin could go back upstairs.
“Get lost forreal. I have nothing else to say to you”
“Yasmin please!” He begged.
“Why don’t you go kiss up to Amber and ignore me like you been doing. You’re seriously dead to me”
“Damn Yasmin” he said. Yasmin stood there. But could sense he was still there.
“Eitan I’m not opening up this damn door. I am done. Get lost!” said Yasmin.
“Okay. You win!” Eitan finally went back home. He still really liked Amber, but feels like he may have been a little too harsh to Yasmin last night. He wasn’t use to her cursing so much. What did he do to that girl? He gave up. Things were never going to change. He believed he lost her for good and maybe it was better that way.
Yasmin was going crazy inside. She still loved him very much. But was doing what was best for her from this point forward. It still hurts very much and Yasmin felt the tears coming again when she locked the door and ran back upstairs. She had to be strong.
Sunday the girls had so much catching up to do. They had all chilled at Sasha’s house this time. No wild parties or sleepovers, they just relaxed. They now all knew everything that went down at the dance. Even Sasha’s steamy moment with Alek. Down to everything that went down in the bathroom to the drama on the dance floor. They all couldn’t believe Alek’s lame twin had a nerve to show up when the dance was basically over to try to make up to Jade.
But Sasha couldn’t care less what Eitan had to say. She did not like him or her. She didn’t like how he’s been treating Yasmin lately and something rubbed her the wrong way about Amber.
The girls spent some time trash talking her.
“I can’t believe she had the nerve to walk off with that ugly smirk on her face after Yasmin took hell for something that wasn’t even her fault. I wanted to snatch that hair of hers” said Jade flipping through a fashion catalogue.
“I noticed that too. Something about that girl. Doesn’t sit right with me. And I believe she knew Yasmin wasn’t the problem” Cloe agreed.
“That chick thinks she’s the shit. Someone’s gotta show her. Just because she’s walking around with Eitan. But she’ll never be you” Sasha slapped fives with Jade as she agreed.
“Thanks girls. But you don’t have to bad mouth her. I know you feel bad for me. Don’t. I’ll be just fine. It will get better” Yasmin said locking her phone and putting it on the charger.
She has unfollowed all of Eitan’s social media accounts and decided to even block him in case he tried to contact her again. She deleted his number and all of his pictures from her phone.
“And that’s why that bitch shouldn’t have let you take the fall. You’re sitting here defending her. You’re too sweet. What if she set it all up for you two to fight. I don’t trust her” Sasha sucked her taffy.
“It’s over now. I don’t wanna talk about it” said Yasmin.
“Ooh look at these shoes” said Jade lost in the magazine.
Cloe was lying beside her on a pillow in the middle of Sasha’s floor.
“I like these better” said Cloe pointing to some red ankle strapped heels.
The girls were even a little upset that Robert didn’t jump in once to defend her honor. Yasmin was hurt too. They ended up arguing after the dance. Robert was so hurt that she didn’t tell him the truth about her feelings for Eitan and he felt like he was being used. And that wasn’t the case. Yasmin was not on good terms with him either. But at least she had her girls.
“So what’s the next scoop for our magazine?” Yasmin changed the subject quickly.
The girls were on a long break from publishing their best selling magazines. And they were slowly getting back into it, especially with spring break approaching. They would have less schoolwork and studying and more time. They were so happy.
“I don’t know yet. I haven’t come up with anything” Jade shrugged.
“Maybe let’s talk about things to do or what we’ll be doing spring break” Cloe suggested.
“Nah!” Sasha said not agreeing with the idea. She was looking for something more.
“No I think we could work with that” Jade tried to think of something. The girls chilled laughed and tried to come up with as many ideas as possible. They planned to make a comeback. Yasmin had to show the world what she was made of. It was almost time for people to watch out!
Chapter 11: Misunderstandings
Notes:
We’re finally nearing the end!
Chapter Text
Monday morning was awkward as ever. Cloe had been feeling sick and had missed school that day. So it was just Yasmin, Sasha, and Jade. Yasmin didn’t meet up with them before class. She decided to meet Robert at his locker.
“Hey” Yasmin said.
“Hi” he said with a blank face. His eyes didn’t light up like they used to. He wasn’t over it, but wasn’t as mad at her anymore.
“I want to apologize about Friday night at the dance” she said.
“Yeah. Why didn’t you tell me the truth? I hate being lied to” he said.
“We were only going to the dance. It’s not like you’re my boyfriend or anything. But I guess you’re right. I was having fun. But I was trying to get over my breakup. I am sorry you felt like I was using you. Well I guess I kind of was. I just didn’t want to go to the dance alone” Yasmin admitted.
“Yeah. Right!” he said still looking at his locker.
“Yes but I wanted to show Eitan I was truly over him after he broke up with me and moved on with someone else, even though I was not. I didn’t want to look desperate. It wasn’t to make him jealous or nothing. And I’m sorry. You didn’t give me a chance to tell you. I was going to tell you the truth eventually until my ex started talking crazy. And I’m sorry about all of that. I understand why you would be mad at me and no one deserves that”
“Do you like me? Yes or no?” he asked.
“I like you a little bit. But not as much as my ex. If I’m being honest with you. I lied about crying in the bathroom because I didn’t want you to be apart of any drama I had and wanted you to at least have a good night. I didn’t mean to hurt you or mess that up. I hope you can forgive me” Yasmin begged.
“Wow!” Robert said. “Yes I forgive you” He said smiling again.
“So we could be just friends?” Yasmin asked.
“Just friends” Robert agreed. Yasmin couldn’t jump into relationship after relationship. She had to enjoy being by herself. And she slowly began to love it again. She didn’t need Eitan because she knew he no longer needed her. He didn’t even want her anymore.
The day had went by so smoothly and Eitan wasn’t at school that day. Later on they had the pep rally to go to. There would be lots of performances, from the choir, there would be Sasha and her cheerleading team dancing. Today felt like a good day and Yasmin felt good all over again. She knew she would make it. Those first couple weeks of her breakup was hard.
Jade, Yasmin, and Cameron were all sitting on the bleachers together outside before the big show began.
“I am so sad that Cloe isn’t here and will miss this!” Jade said.
“I know Sasha’s about to kill it” said Yasmin.
“I know what you’re all thinking. It’s just a cold. You have nothing to worry about” said Cameron joining in the conversation.
“She’s our best friend, we knew that” said Jade.
The first act was the choir singing the national anthem. Then they introduced the different sports teams down to football, basketball, soccer, etc. Cameron decided to sit out because he didn’t want to be up there without Cloe. The cheerleading dance was off the wall. Sasha and her crew killed it. Yasmin and Jade took out their phones to record for Cloe to see later.
Later when they all went home Sasha, Yasmin and Jade all decided to meet up in their office because they had no homework that day.
They came up with a couple ideas for their magazine but decided to record a live video asking for their fans help.
“Hello Bratties. I know you’re excited for what we have in store for you. And we know you’ve been waiting on the next scoop. But we need your help!” Sasha spoke into the camera.
“We have really bad writers block and hope you can help us” Jade added getting into the camera. Soon Yasmin jumped in.
“Please show us what you got. We are counting on you. And whomever has the most brilliant idea we will give you a shout out and plus give you some of our free merchandise…” said Yasmin.
“Just comment down below…” said Sasha.
The girls were onto something great and wished Cloe could be here right now. But they did this for her too.
Afterwards they decided to call her up.
“I have a really bad headache, my nose is still stuffy and I’m sad I can’t see you guys or Cameron” she sounded so nasally over the phone.
“You get some rest okay?” said Yasmin.
“Get well girl. Take it easy” said Jade.
“Eat lots of soup” said Sasha.
“Thanks guys!” said Cloe as they all hung up. They searched the web and checked and got millions of responses. Some asking where’s Cloe?
Someone mentioned that spring break was coming up and that they should write about all of the stuff they were letting go of from their closets. Jade loved that idea very much and couldn’t believe she didn’t come up with that.
Someone wrote: What would you say to your ex if you could write them a letter? They all loved that idea as well. That one had Yasmin thinking. But she wanted to stay out of her feelings that day.
Another fan wrote: Ten lessons you learned in school this year.
They all read through lots of the ideas and sent some to Cloe through text message.
“These ideas are amazing” Jade cheered.
“I know. It’s time for a big comeback” said Sasha.
Yasmin got online and even thanked their fans before they all got together and decided which one they were doing first. They all decided to vote which one they felt deserved a shoutout.
“I loved the idea about self care tips, because everyone needs that” said Yasmin.
“I want to write about the one about things we’re getting rid of in the closet, because it’s time to do some shopping!” Jade said.
“I like the one about the letters to exes. That’s interesting. We can make headlines. And Yasmin you need it. Get it out girl!” said Sasha.
“Oh here we go again. I don’t want to talk about break ups anymore. Let’s leave everything in the past” Yasmin said wanting to forget Eitan for good.
“I think our girl is finally back” Jade said to Sasha and they all huddled and hugged as if Cloe were there.
Chapter 12: Dear Ex
Chapter Text
The girls had decided to go on and write lots of the ideas that they received from fans. And decided to reward the lucky fan. Every thing was coming together slowly.
Yasmin was taking it easy. She didn’t want to find too many distractions. So she was focusing on one thing at a time. She was focusing on school. Spring break was coming up in a couple weeks so the Bratz would be focusing on their magazine. Yasmin had to get over Eitan fast. But she accepted that it would take some time. But she would heal eventually.
Yasmin decided to write a letter to Eitan. She was not sure if he’d ever see it or not. She was sitting at her desk alone in the girl’s office. Sasha was at cheerleading practice. Cloe was still sick, so she had to miss Soccer practice. And Jade was hanging out with Iden. Yasmin wanted to spend time out of her bedroom.
Yasmin didn’t know where to start. She had crumbled up a paper that had not so good things written on them. She opened it and reread it.
Dear Ex,
I can’t believe you. After all that we did. After all that we had, that you would just end it like it was nothing. And move on so quickly. You basically left me for another girl and it sucks. All those weeks of you ignoring me, not talking to me has been killing me. Seeing you two together is killing me. The way you look at her, the way you touch her. But one day you’ll realize where you messed up.
I loved you so much. But now I hate you so much. This shit hurts. I can’t get over you. You ruined my life. And about the shit you pulled at the dance, never again. It hurts me to know that you really believe I’d do something so evil and that I’m the one who caused all of this. But you’re stupid, because I would never. Everyone knows the truth now. And it sucks that you don’t care to fix it.
But now I’m starting to believe I’m better off without you. I never loved and hated anyone this much in my life and it stinks. I know I can find better and I will. I don’t need you. And I don’t regret anything I said that day or even at the party. You’re a whole new person, not the boy I fell in love with. You’re a total jerk now and that’s a turn off. You’re an ass hole and I don’t ever wanna see your face again. Oh and I bet it won’t last. Good luck in life!
Yasmin wasn’t sure if she truly wanted to publish this in the magazine for everyone to see. It was her rough draft. It’s what she wrote when she was very angry at him. She wasn’t really sure if putting all of her business out there was the way to go. She didn’t want to look like a desperate and angry ex. And she also didn’t want to make Eitan look like an awful person regardless of how he’s been making her feel. She kept it and held onto it and decided to write a better letter.
Dear Ex,
I still love you, I still love you. I am not over you, for God’s sake. I can’t stand it and it’s killing me. You don’t understand what you did to me when you told me it was over. It’s crazy how you go from loving someone so much and then seeing them as a stranger.
I miss the fun times we used to have. When we used to laugh and the times we used to cry. I miss the feeling of you holding me. I miss the way you used to look at me. I miss telling you all of my secrets. But I guess I have to move on now.
I guess it wasn’t meant to be. And that is okay. Although we may not have a future. I love you enough to accept that you’re not perfect. I love you enough to accept that you weren’t feeling it anymore and went and found someone else. I love you so much, because I would love to see you happy even if it’s not with me. I love you enough to accept that you hurt me.
Yasmin was unsure of which one she would publish. She kind of didn’t want to publish either. She was way too secretive to put all of her feelings out there in front of the world. Eitan could see it and hate her even more. All of those written words would probably waste away, collect dust or get lost in some messy pile and never be read or heard by anyone.
Chapter 13: Moving On
Notes:
Enjoy!!!
Chapter Text
Yasmin was letting it all go. She had finally got her feelings out and the girls had all agreed that they would put their feelings out there. They all wrote letters to their exes and published it. Yasmin felt very proud of herself. She did the brave thing. And who cared what anyone thought of it?
She felt like her girls began to rub off on her a little bit. And she loved it. If only she could have that confidence all the time.
Yasmin felt brand new. She felt great. She knew it was time to move on for real this time.
A week had passed and she strutted down the hallways of Stiles High like a Queen because she knew she was born one.
She had on a really nice outfit. She wore a short and loose pink floral dress and had her hair up in a messy bun. She wore her favorite cherry lip gloss and had on red shades and some bomb ass sandals.
All eyes were on Amber until she walked in the building. She took all of the attention because that’s what she did.
Even Eitan felt like he didn’t know who that girl was. She was able to turn his head. But she wasn’t thinking about Eitan. She got all dressed up for herself.
“Babe are you even listening?” Amber asked annoyedly.
“Just wait a second” he said. Amber rolled her eyes and thought Yasmin was being jealous, evil and attention seeking, but Yasmin didn’t care about them in that way anymore.
“Hey Yasmin can we talk” Eitan came closer to her and stopped her.
“Hi Eitan” Yasmin said with a blank look. A smile appeared on his face. But she didn’t know why. Eitan was shocked and happy that she wasn’t being rude and sassy like the other days.
“Can we talk about the dance?” he asked.
“That was so yesterday” she said.
“No, but-“
“What do you want Eitan? Are you trying to apologize?”
“Yes. I know I came off as a jerk lately. But I really love Amber. I am sorry for the way I’ve been treating you lately-“
“But you love Amber. Right. That’s all cool with me” she said.
“Really?” he asked.
“Really. I just want you to be happy. Go on” she waved her hand signaling him to go back Amber’s direction.
“No you deserve so much more and-“ Eitan began to stutter a bit and couldn’t get the rest out.
“Oh. I know” Yasmin felt like someone else.
“I’m sorry for everything. The way I came off to you, being a jerk. The dance. I got bored and needed something new and I found it, and you know love makes you do stupid crazy things. No one deserves that. And I got out of line disrespecting your friends. I’m hoping you can forgive me and we can maybe be friends again”
“Maybe” She still needed more time to think about that.
“I just don’t know what else to say. I feel awful”
“Don’t. Eitan I forgive you. Everyone changes at some point in their lives and begins chasing someone or something else besides what they thought they wanted. I am not for everyone and neither are you, and that’s okay. I’m letting it go so I can be happy. I forgive you for me” said Yasmin.
“Well that’s great. I’m glad you understand. Now we’re both at peace. You take care of yourself alright” Eitan said on his way back to Amber.
“You too” Yasmin said as he walked back to his girlfriend who looked beyond mad.
Eitan was trying to kiss up to her and she pushed him away. They began arguing.
Jade, Cloe and Sasha finally met up with her and were looking good as usual.
“What was that all about?” Cloe asked.
“Eitan finally became a man and apologized to me for everything” Yasmin said.
“Even the dance?” Cloe asked.
“Yep” Yasmin smiled.
“What did you say?” Jade asked.
“Remember my letter to him?”
“You read the whole thing?” Jade gasped.
“No. The same concept. I am accepting of what is and I forgive him” said Yasmin.
“Do you still have feelings for him? Are you sure you’re over him this time? No more roller coaster of emotions and back and forth, on and off?” Sasha wasn’t sure and still wanted to worry about her friend.
“Yes. I’m all good. I have no choice but to be. He’s happy and so am I” said Yasmin.
“I wish I could be as strong as you” said Sasha.
“You’re a really great person Yaz and we’re really proud of you. You deserve the best. You will find someone don’t worry” said Cloe.
“Thanks Angel. But right now I think I need more time to focus on me before I open up to anyone else” Yasmin admitted.
“I understand that” said Jade. They all hung out in the hallway before it was time to depart and go to their classes. It was their last day of school before spring break and they were ready to go!

Chapter Text
Finally the girls were on break, they have been busy with their magazine and making headlines. Lots of the drama had died down. Yasmin still had been begging their fans to be respectful to Amber though. She was happier than ever.
The girls were shutting down for the day and were planning on doing some shopping over the break and were even planning another sleepover. This time it would be at Sasha’s. This time more girls were invited.
“I am super happy that we are making headlines again” said Cloe.
“What’d you mean? The Bratz girls are ALWAYS making headlines” said Sasha.
“That’s just what we do!” said Jade.
They all shut down their laptops.
“What are you doing Sasha?” Yasmin asked.
“I have a date with Alek” said Sasha.
“What about you Jade?”
“I am going to work on some new sketches” she grabbed her bag and her sketchbook.
“Today Cameron is taking me out to dinner at our favorite spot. But tomorrow is our anniversary. He might have gotten the days mixed up” Cloe pouted in confusion.
“Hey at least he’s doing something” said Sasha.
“I guess you’re right” she nodded in agreement.
“What is Ms. brand new doing this afternoon?” Sasha smiled.
“That name is just crazy Sasha” Yasmin laughed.
“It’s just I never seen you this happy since your break up with Eitan and yet this confident” Sasha explained.
“I have noticed something different about our girl. I believe I taught her well” said Jade proudly and they all laughed.
They all huddled together and loved on each other. But that afternoon Yasmin was going to love on herself. She was going to write some literature, do some yoga, eat good and get her nails and feet done. She had to put herself first and this situation had made her stronger. She felt that she was growing. She believed that maybe things were better that way.
Yasmin went home and did all that she planned and felt happier and freer. She no longer stalked their page. She didn’t care what they had done and if they lasted or not. She was over it. It was time for her to focus on her. That’s what she did best.
The next day she had met up with Robert at the smoothie shop where Eitan still worked. They purchased smoothies like regular customers and lived as if nothing had happened. They planned on continuing to see each other, but strictly as friends. Robert had shared some of his sketches for his comic book and Yasmin had loved it.
She had shared some of her writing with him. They both loved nerdy things. They sat down and had a good conversation over smoothies. And that’s how it ended. At least for now!
