Even sun-baked and crusted with salt-rime, her hair shone. He’d heard stories about the great Galadriel of the Noldor. A princess turned warrior with the light of the Two Trees tangled in her tresses. But now, she seemed such a tiny, fragile thing exhausted and unconscious next to her great enemy.
He snorted at the irony. It would be so easy to be rid of her permanently. He could simply shove her head beneath the waves and wait. He’d saved her from the sea twice already, though. Why waste all that effort? Perhaps she could be put to use instead.
