Horrific Oscars life is horrific. How else would you explain the situations he always gets himself into? It's not like he deserves what's happening to him; he wouldn’t even wish this on his biggest enemy (Carlos), although he supposes they are in this together, which makes him want to die.
I mean, Oscar believes himself to be a pretty chill guy. He doesn’t get mad often, never outside the car, and he doesn’t care what other people say about him. There is a reason people call him a polite cat; he does not deserve this. Carlos, on the other hand, deserves this. I mean, how often can you not see someone and whine about someone on the radio?
He doesn’t deserve this. Oscar didn’t even have wishes or really dreamed about his soulmate. Obviously, he sometimes dreamed or had ideas about his soulmate; he learned pretty early on that he didn’t care if it would be a man or woman, but Carlos Sainz.
So yes, Oscar’s life is horrific, especially with Carlos looking down on him right now. How did he ever think it was cute that the universe showed you who your soulmate is by making you guys magnets? Oscar's almost surprised that they didn’t notice it before because the distance they can be from each other got shorter. After all, Carlos’s car keeps on crashing into him like a magnet.
And Carlos keeps glaring down at him and their arms, which are stuck together. Glaring like it's Oscar's fault they're stuck together. Oscar starts to question what he did in his past life to deserve this. Finally, he decides enough is enough. "Glaring at me isn’t going to magically fix the situation," Oscar said with a glare. "No, is it not helping?" Carlos retorts.
Just as Oscar is about to destroy he who should not be named, they are interrupted by screaming inside the office. Oscar rolls his eyes and glares up at Carlos, who is doing the same, because Lando Norris is too dramatic to survive in the real world.
Their teams are in discussion about the situation while Oscar and Carlos stand stuck together in the middle of the garage, glaring at any mechanic who dares to look their way.
"Carlos will murder him," Oscar hears coming from Zak's office. And he decides that Lando Norris is in second place on his murder list because Carlos looks way too smug and pleased by hearing that. Oscar sighs and rolls his eyes and mutters that he will hurt Carlos. "Will you murder me, cabrón?" Carlos says while he laughs.
He has the audacity to laugh. Oscar is going to murder his teammate because Carlos isn’t a danger to him; he is a danger to Carlos.
Just as Oscar is dreaming about all the ways he could murder his soulmate—ugh, just thinking about that word makes him shiver—Zak's office opens, and Oscar feels like he can finally breathe. Zak looks at him with sympathy, meanwhile, Fred looks way too amused by the situation.
Oscar feels like he could cry while Carlos looks like he is going to punch someone; he hopes it would not be him. When Zak tells them they don't really have a solution but that the doctors think that if they start to be friendly with each other, they probably could drive the next race.
As Zak says that, he hears Spanish muttering and swearing next to him as he sends a death glare to his boss. "Alright, maybe not the news you want to hear (you think?!)" Zak says.
"So our plan for now is to send you guys back to your hotel for the night; you will stay in Oscar's room." Before Carlos can interrupt, Fred gives Carlos a look which is the highlight of this conversation for Oscar. Carlos looks like a kicked puppy.
Although his smile is quickly wiped from his face as Fred finishes talking by telling him that after their stay in his hotel room, they will be going to stay in Carlos’s home in Monaco.
Just as Oscar is about to interrupt and say that he will not be staying in Carlos’s home, he is interrupted by Zak, who says that they need to follow security to the car.
Did Oscar forget to mention the worst part about this soulmate thing? Everybody saw it happen. It's probably already on the news. I mean, it’s the worst way to happen. I mean, Oscar was very happy: second place in Monaco and great publicity being ''adopted'' by Charles Leclerc. So it was going great until he got out of the car and the next thing he knew, he flew to Carlos, who was standing by the Ferrari team, and he couldn't get away as Carlos's arm was stuck to his.
So yes, the whole world knows what happened. And Oscar knows it will happen, but he hopes they don't get swarmed going to the car. And the minute he and Carlos, very awkwardly, shuffle out of the McLaren garage, they get swarmed.
Luckily, the security quickly snaps into action, and they make their way to the car. Oscar thinks it is going alright—not great, but alright.
Wrong thought; it’s going terrible as he is suddenly grabbed by someone and ripped from Carlos, who is already sitting in the car, and damn, that really hurts.
As Oscar looks up at Carlos's equally panicked eyes, he realizes they’re fucked. Just when security is about to intervene, he feels the pull getting worse and yelps as he again flies into Carlos and lands on his lap. Might Oscar add that this day is horrific?
As Oscar sits there on Carlos’s lap, contemplating his life, he realizes they’re both shaking. When he tries to move, Carlos suddenly holds him on his lap and says, "Don’t move... please, cabrón." That is the moment Oscar realizes that Carlos is still hurt from him being ripped away.
Oscar relaxes in Carlos’s lap and mutters "alright" to Carlos, at which Carlos also relaxes. And Oscar mentally prepares for the worst car ride ever until he looks outside and sees that they’re almost at his hotel. So maybe Carlos’s lap is not the worst place to sit.
As they stop in front of his hotel, Oscar realizes he needs to get up. He also realizes that Carlos also realizes it because he suddenly pulls him closer and kind of sniffs his hair.
Oscar opens the door and makes a move to get up and says, "Give me your hand." He sees the panic in Carlos's eyes diminish, and his mouth even settling on a smirk. "Of course you can hold my hand, cabrón."
As they are walking to his hotel room hand in hand, Oscar mentally adds. And opens the door to his room; he looks out the window and sees that it is dark. As he sees that, he looks at his nightstand and sees on his alarm clock that it is already late and that they should probably go to sleep.
Just as he thinks that, he automatically squeezes Carlos's hand, who is looking around very curiously. "You see anything interesting, Carlos?" Oscar asks. "Well, of course, cabrón," Carlos retorts.
Oscar decides he is going to be nice and asks, "Shall we go to sleep?" And he immediately regrets that as Carlos retorts with a sarcastic, "We shall."
As they stand side by side getting ready for bed, Oscar realizes his most fatal mistake because Carlos looks hot without a shirt, like really hot, and even worse, he notices.
He takes one look at Oscar’s pink cheeks and says, "You like what you see, cabrón." Oscar rolls his eyes and decides that that is not worthy of his response.
Might Oscar say horrific day because lying in bed next to each other is the worst thing imaginable. And Carlos looks like he is sleeping fine. As Oscar starts to shift for way too long, he decides to look up and sees Carlos already watching him and stops moving. At that, Carlos rolls his eyes and moves Oscar until he is lying on top of him. Oscar freezes until he hears Carlos mutter, "Relax, cabrón," and falls asleep.
And wakes up in a panic because there is something poking in his back. He tries to move but fails as Carlos pulls him closer. Apparently, they shifted in the night, and Oscar is now the little spoon. Do you hear that, the little spoon?
Just as Oscar thinks about that, he suddenly feels Carlos freeze until he almost immediately relaxes. What? Oscar can't be the only one who finds this weird. As Oscar turns around and lays on top of him and starts to get ready to scold him, he suddenly stops as he looks at Carlos, who is looking at him with a smile, and realizes that Carlos looks pretty cute in the morning.
Before Oscar can think about anything else, he suddenly sees Carlos lean in, and the next thing Oscar knows, they’re making out in bed with him on top of Carlos. And of course, the Spaniard is also a good kisser.
Just because of that, he decides to bite Carlos's lip. He feels Carlos grin in his mouth. Until they're interrupted by a knock.
Oscar rolls off Carlos and gets up, annoyed, to open the door to a panicked-looking Lando Norris. "You’re alive," Lando says, flabbergasted. "Yes, I am alive," Oscar says, clearly annoyed. "You’re alive with a hickey." Just as Oscar is about to retort, Lando interrupts him, "You’re not stuck together anymore," he says.
Oscar looks confused and realizes Carlos is not next to him anymore and turns to Lando. "Yes, I guess we’re not stuck anymore," he says to Lando and shrugs. Apparently, having Carlos Sainz as your soulmate isn't too bad.
Just as he says that, Oscar hears Carlos yelling,"You're taking too long, you're coming back to bed, cabrón." "Yes, I am coming," he yells back while raising his eyebrows at Lando and closing the door in his face. Because he would murder Carlos before Carlos could murder him, his teammate should have more faith.
