Chapter Text
“And to the tea god we yarp, nama,” Conner said before sipping his tea. The tea was lukewarm, it was hard to find warm water this close to the coast, and the army just couldn't use their resources on heating water every morning for worshipping the tea god. hopefully, the tea god could understand.
Conner got up to get ready for the day, he was average height, had dirty blond hair, and was often called handsome by all the ladies, but he would never sweat it. He had never once gotten flustered by any woman.
“Oh hey, are you done with the morning reyarp?” Asked George-John-George while walking into Conner's tent. Conner couldn't help but admire George's dark brown hairs as they glowed in the morning sun while he closed the tent door behind himself. God Conner was straight but he couldn't help but admire George-John’s beautiful brown eyes. he was so handsome, he wanted to be near George forever. “Hellooo? Earth to Conner!”
“Oh hi! Sorry, I've been spacy the last few days,” Conner said, his face red from embarrassment, after realizing he had zoned out staring at George.
“You might want to be careful about that the next few days, i heard those filthy patriots might be planning a sneak attack on us soon,” George said with a mix of disgust at the thought of the patriots and a tone of concern for his closest friend. “Should we go get our breakfast though hurry up,” George said, leaving the tent.
“I'll be out in a second,” Conner said, raising his voice to be sure George heard him. Conner's heart fluttered as he stood up, why did he zone out? He wasn't usually a very spacey guy. “Must be my nerves,” he muttered to himself walking out of his tent
The rest of conners day went as usual, there was no battle as they were planning on moving soon to a better battlefront, they were pretty much just counting resources and guarding for a sneak attack, Conner swears that George is the funniest man alive, he could light up the room with his contagious smile, and he always had the best sense of humor even in the darkest of moments.
Of course, he would never say any of this to George, that would be weird, Conner couldn't exactly say why it would be weird to share this with George. After all, they were such close friends. It just didn't quite feel like he could share these feelings.
“Ok we need someone to watch the fire to make sure it doesn't spread past the fireplace, any volunteers?” general Burgouynes said, he had a deep voice, he sat there for a second, tapping his foot, waiting for someone to volunteer just as he was about to choose someone to do it there was a gunshot
“Quick! Battle formation!” general Burgouynes shouted as soldiers ran to the formation.
