Alrighty, before we begin, let’s meet the Pretty Cure! (Oh, btw if I got something wrong, feel free to correct me, okay?)
Hojo Hibiki (北条 響) / Cure Melody
One of two protagonists of the series, and a third-year student at Private Aria Academy. A passionate and cheerful young girl. She’s good at sports - her favorite being soccer - but bad at school. She also has quite the sweet tooth, her favorite dessert being the cakes from the Lucky Spoon, Kanade’s family’s shop. Her dad is a music teacher and her mom is a violinist; speaking of which, Hibiki aspires to become a pianist.
As Cure Melody, the pink Pretty Cure of pop music and melodies, her weapon of choice is her Miracle Belltier, and her Fairy Tones are Dory (pink) and Miry (orange).
Minamino Kanade (南野 奏) / Cure Rhythm
One of two protagonists of the series, a third-year student at Private Aria Academy, and the childhood friend of Hibiki. She’s considered a celebrity at her school due to her grades and personality. Despite this, she’s not very good at sports. Kanade dreams of becoming a pastry chef and taking over the Lucky Spoon. For whatever reason, she has a fondness for cat paws. She’s mature and calm, contrasting Hibiki, and is the girly-girl of the duo. She can be stubborn at times, struggling to admit she did something wrong.
As Cure Rhythm, the white Pretty Cure of classical music and rhythm, her weapon of choice is her Fantastic Belltier, and her Fairy Tones are Rery (white) and Fary (yellow)
Siren (セイレーン Seireen) / Kurokawa Ellen (黒川エレン Kurokawa Eren) / Cure Beat
A third-year student at Private Aria Academy, and the best friend of Hummy. After betraying Major Land and then Mephisto (and thanks to her strong feelings of friendship), she becomes a human and then a Cure. She’s rather upbeat and cheerful, and much like when she was a cat, kind and caring. Like Hibiki, she’s quite passionate, and wants to gain more friends and knowledge.
As Cure Beat, the blue Pretty Cure of rock music, her weapon of choice is her Love Guitar Rod, and her Fairy Tones are Sory (green) and Lary (light blue).
Shirabe Ako (調辺 アコ) / Cure Muse
The princess of Major Land, and a fifth-year student at Kanon Elementary. She attends the same class as Souta (Kanade’s little brother). Ako, though only ten years old, is very mature for her age, understanding things most kids her age wouldn’t. She’s a sweet and considerate girl who enjoys music and loves singing. Her father is Mephisto, former ruler of Minor Land, while her mother is Aphrodite, ruler of Major Land.
As Cure Muse, the yellow Pretty Cure of soul music, her Fairy Tones are Shiry (blue) and Dodory (purple).
Hoshinogoe Reina (星の声 麗な) / Diva (ディーヴァ) / Cure Symphony
A third-year student at Private Aria Academy, in the same class as Hibiki, Kanade and Ellen. Not much is known about her, other than this: though an ordinary girl, Reina has a virtual idol alias named Diva, who’s more popular online than offline. She is considered the most “neutral” out of the five (girlier than Hibiki and Ellen, more tomboyish than Kanade and Ako) and does decently at school and sports. Other than being a virtual idol, Reina doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life, and wants to figure that out.
As Cure Symphony, the purple Pretty Cure of electronic music and symphonies, her weapon of choice is her Encore Stick, and her Fairy Tones are Mezzo (silver) and Aria (magenta).
