Stephen’s ears are still ringing from the sheer volume of the music when he follows Tony through a portal from behind the venue into Tony’s penthouse. Still, he can hear Tony’s exhilarated laugh over the ringing, and the sound makes him grin even before Tony throws his hands in the air and whirls around to beam at Stephen.
“Do you have any idea how long it’s been since I’ve been to a concert like that?” he asks, but doesn’t wait for Stephen to answer. “No boxes, no VIP area, just me in the middle of a thousand people all screaming and singing along, feeling the music vibrating through me? Not since college. And I was fourteen in college!” Tony laughs, falls down onto the couch and then bounces right back up again. “What kind of spell was that again? That disguised us? I have to tell Rhodey about this.”
“It’s called a glamor,” Stephen says, face starting to ache a little from smiling.
Tony comes over and cups Stephen’s face in his hands. “A glamor,” he repeats, and then leans in and gives Stephen a good, solid kiss. “Best first date ever.”
