13-year-old Jurin meets Amy for the first time on a casting for a Dior advertising. Jurin was not as confident as she should, she keeps watching the gorgeous girls on the other side of the room, eyes coming back for the girl with the cute face and plump lips now speaking quietly to one of the staff that are organizing the casting. She seems professional, nods and points and then bows shyly before turning to her phone. Jurin than understands that she is as nervous as herself.
They get called individually and then in trios. She is set with another girl younger than her and then Amy Harvey. The cute girl with beautiful lips. They greet and smile at each other but doesn’t really engage in conversation.
Two weeks later, they actually talk. Jurin watches and know that Amy won’t talk to her if she doesn’t initiate it.
“Your lipstick is very cute.”
Amy blushes and thanks her in a quiet voice, pauses and then decide to give room for conversation. They exchange numbers by the end of the ad shooting.
...
Jurin texts Amy first, asks where she goes to school and how they could meet up for an ice cream date sometime. They work together on more modeling gigs, go out on ice-cream dates and find out they are very different regarding tastes and hobbies.
Jurin finds it cute how Amy is so shy she never initiates conversation. At times, they just sit in silence for a while until she reaches for Jurin’s hands and squeezes her thumb in between her own and her palm. The shorter girl can’t help but smile, not wasting a second before returning the squeeze, “Did I tell you I’ll be on Roxy’s catalog next season?”
Their bond deepens quickly. The older girl can’t place it but there’s something that brings them together – it helps that they love the same type of music and maybe it’s also the way they both get nervous right before shooting tests and both are always there to relieve the tension and make it fun to the maximum with their silly jokes and games or, ultimately, it’s the way they have the same dreams and like to encourage each other on focusing on it.
Eventually, they also find out their parents were friends at school, her mom talks about how Amy’s dad was shy and liked to isolate himself, Jurin thinks it’s cute that Amy has a bit if not a lot of that. At night, Jurin lays on her bed and thinks them meeting must be destiny.
They walk everyday half the way home together, and, on most days than not Amy watches Jurin skate through the park while she listens to music and plays with her Gameboy when she’s bored. They always get takoyaki from the old lady around the corner at the park exit before separating ways for the day.
“Minato asked me out.” Jurin says.
It’s been two days since it happened. She had been practicing telling it to Amy since then but the opportunity seemed to never come whether they were hanging out or going to the residency classes. She didn’t know why she was so nervous.
Jurin looks at her friend and the other girl hasn’t looked at her yet, eyes trained on the ice cream on her hand, left arm still looped with Jurin’s right. It was starting to get chilly in Tokyo but only the shorter girl seemed to have guessed the weather, already offering her gloves when Amy started to feel her fingers getting stiff. Jurin thought she looked cute trying not to get ice cream on the gloves, tip of the nose and lips red from the cold.
“Did you say yes?”
Amy asks quietly, something straining in her voice. Jurin looks back at her again, eyes searching brown ones before shaking her head.
“Nope. We have a Saturday class, remember? It’s near our next evaluation, we can’t skip it. Don’t worry, you won’t get rid of me so easily.” Jurin says cheekily.
Harvey pauses, ice cream long gone. When Jurin, already one step ahead, bounces back with a gentle pull to her arm, sticky and cold lips find her cheek. Surprised by the sudden affection, her skateboard slips on her fingers and she scrambles to not let it fall on her toes, eyes questioning.
Harvey smiles and nods in agreement, “Good.”

14-year-old Jurin organizes herself so she can split her time between her responsibilities and spending time with her best friends. Despite having a few classes together at Avex artists program and hanging out all the time as a group, they still have very different schedules from each other, so the time split is needed and Jurin values getting individual time with each.
On an eventful week that she was intending on spending more time with Airi, her friend is away on a trip with her parents. She does receive a text from Amy, an invite for a family barbecue. The families gather for the first time for a whole weekend.
They get to play on a big house on the outskirts of Tokyo and Jurin gets to skateboard around the property before they get into the pool for most of the day. Jurin watches and laughs at Amy’s quirks, being attentive to every word that comes out of her mouth.
Monday, on school, Jurin animatedly retells her weekend to Airi and the black-haired girl teases her, “Do you have a crush on her or something?”
Jurin feels the tip of her ears and cheeks warm up and deflects by pushing her friend's shoulder playfully, changes subject and doesn’t know why she get nervous by a nonsense question.
***
15-year-old Jurin blows out the air she was holding in when she gets to the building exit. Airi, who auditioned first, is waiting for her with open arms. They hug each other tight and wait for Amy to get out as well.
Their journey to become artists would be starting at that moment. Nothing was certain anymore.
They do a sleepover; it’d probably be the last they are home for a long time to come. Airi sleeps right by the middle of the movie and at some point of the night, Amy lays her head on Jurin’s bony shoulder, arms hugging her left one, fingers intertwined against the futon. They had given up on the movie to watch old music videos on a late-night music channel.
“Do you think we’re gonna make it?”
“I mean, I want to, I’ll make sure to get as far as I can.”
“Me too but I meant, do you think we’ll keep being friends?”
Jurin frowns, fingers freezing against slender ones. “Do you think we will not?”
“There’ll be other people, other girls for you to be friends with too.”
“And you’ll still be my number one girl, Amy. Nothing will change about that.”
Jurin’s face seem soft under the TV light and the younger girl takes every detail to memory; her friend’s eyes look beautiful, round, glinting and warming as it always have been. Amy squeezes their intertwined fingers and lays her head against her friend’s shoulder again hoping Jurin’s words can be in fact true.
…
They work hard, harder than they ever did. Jurin’s bunk is on the other side of the room while Airi is setup on the upstairs floor. Amy bunks with Chisa and Jurin always hears them laughing or Chisa teaching house chores around to the youngest girls, she is one of the only ones who know how to cook, so she takes on that role and gets along with everyone, taking a like to her bunk mate and Jurin thinks they need the energy on the dorm, especially after the days of heavy training.
One night, Jurin hears crying and perks up. It was not an uncommon thing. They all had frustrations, everyone always eager to get to the level the instructors and teachers expected from them, the youngest also missed their families the most too. She’d caught Cocona and Maju crying silently in a corner more times than she could count now. With Maju it was easier, she’d take hugs any time of the day and would usually cry on someone’s shoulder until she felt better. With Cocona it was a little harder, and after the first time, where Jurin got rejected after trying to offer a hug and talk to her, every time it happens, she just sits by her side in silence and sneakily slide a candy to the prodigy. Jurin would always find a cute little note on her bunk thanking her after.
But then again, being four months into trainee and dorm life, Jurin knew that little soft cry by now. She paddles silently across the room and gets out on the hallway to find Amy sitting on the floor, arms hugging her legs, long hair making a curtain around her face.
“Amy…”
Jurin sits by her side and doesn’t say anything else, just caresses her back while the other girl cries and cries until she finally turns around and hugs Jurin. They shift until Amy is fully on her lap. Long legs spilling out to the side, Jurin gets almost fully swallowed by her taller frame with Amy’s arms around her waist, face buried on her neck. Jurin lets her hand slide over and over through silk locks until her best friend calms down and the heavy crying tunes down to sniffles and hiccups.
“I miss home.”
Jurin sighs and squeezes Amy in her arms, “I miss home too.”
At the confession, the tears brimming her eyes finally spills down her cheeks.
“Please don’t leave.”
“I won’t. Pinky promise.”
In the morning, with a sore back and thigh muscles burning, Jurin tries to wake herself up with a cup of tea before practice. A warm hand slips on hers while she waits for the water to boil. Amy’s puffy eyes meet hers with a smile. She smells like cinnamon and something citric and Jurin makes a note to sneak in the locker room to read her friend’s shampoo label.
“Thank you.” the taller girl says quietly.
Their secret to keep.
Amy looks at her for a moment, leans down and leaves a long kiss on Jurin’s cheek.
When Amy saunters away to start the day, Jurin’s first reaction is to put her hand over it, she feels a little crazy when the skin there tingles a little. The funny feeling it gives doesn’t go away; she feels plump lips pressed against her cheek all day.
***
16-year-old Jurin is very focused. She practices, studies and do her part on helping cooking and cleaning around the dorm, she controls and organize her time like no one.
Jurin is proud to be focused. Except that it’s all lost work when Amy jumps quietly – or loudly – around and leave a kiss to her cheek or to her hand or arm. Unprompted. Too much for Jurin to not feel like she shouldn’t give way for the thoughts she’d be having lately. The ones that have been keeping her awake at night, even when she tried to get rid of it. It’s nothing.
“What is it?” Jurin asked, a little startled.
They would have a weekly evaluation that day. She’s by the microwave waiting for her rice to be ready when Amy hugs her from behind, looking at her so seriously for a moment that Jurin had to ask before being met with a kiss on the spot between her jaw and ear.
“ I just love you. Hwaiting! ” Amy sings, Korean still a little broken every time she was in a less focused mood.
Feeling her cheeks and tip of her ears warm, Jurin looks around. The dorm is quiet, most of the girls still sleeping. Jurin sighs and puts a palm against her heart at an attempt to make it calm again, she didn’t want anyone to ask why her cheeks were flushed.
Wondering what came over her friend lately, Jurin learns then that this was Amy’s recently evolved love language. Which didn’t have that much difference from how she would behave around her in their almost 3 years of friendship. Jurin also didn’t want to admit it was the best way to avoid her heart from skipping a beat every time Amy showered her with affection on any capacity.
Like when Jurin served her food the days they had time to eat together side by side, there would be a kiss to the top of her arm as a thank you. Or when they’d be watching dance battles for their freestyle dance evaluation on Jurin’s bunk at night, Amy would always kiss Jurin’s hand and intertwine their fingers when she was getting sleepy. Or on mornings like this, when they have evaluation or feedback to go through and the only way she felt more at ease was when Amy, despite her own anxiety and nervousness, spared a good minute to give her best friend the much-needed support.
There was something about Amy’s eyes too that made Jurin swallow, heart suddenly racing, eyes quickly diverting from the intense contact. Like when they are having meetings with their roommates but tune down everyone around just to stare at each other. Their own world, their own language.
“ Jurin? ”
Jurin twinkles her eyes, squeezing it a little, lips threatening to stretch in a smile when Amy bites her own, blinking quickly a few times before wiggling her brows in a silly manner. She knew what that meant.
“ Jurin? ”
Ice cream.
They could do a late run if staff allowed which they usually did if it was Amy asking.
“ Hello? Earth to Jurin? ”
Jurin squints her eyes, just knowing they had agreed on it, she can discuss the flavors when they get there.
The ungentle push on her shoulder startles her, balance thrown off by Rei on her side, “Stop flirting with Amy. We need to know if you’re down for dishes duty with Airi. We don’t want to go over rock, scissor, paper for this.”
Jurin feels her cheeks burning by the time she says “Sure, no problem.” With a shrug and the discussion around the table resumes.
Long fingers intertwine with hers across the small table and Jurin smiles to herself, not daring to get lost in warm brown eyes again.
She also didn’t want to admit that whatever the situation they always seemed to be gravitating towards one another and it filled Jurin’s heart with warmth and comfort. Amy was one of her favorite people on Earth after all.
***
18-year-old Jurin doesn’t believe she made the cut so far. Airi reassures her that if there is someone that will debut, it’ll be her.
She still has her insecurities though.
Jurin feels like crying when she tries to belt and her voice doesn’t reach the note like it should that day. Her eyes burn and she turns it up to the clock on the wall blaring at her. 3AM. She should be at bed, maybe at Amy’s if she wasn’t so tired. But the evaluation was in three days and she had little time to practice and make it worth, good enough to get her to understand that she can and she would get through the finish line.
The hand on her shoulder startles her. Airi’s voice is low when she speaks, “Hey. You should go to bed. We were worried.”
There’s a hum at the door and only then she notices Amy at the door, fingers twisting each other, an anxious habit she had. Jurin shakes her head, picks up the microphone, fingers trying to reach the small sound table on the vocal practice booth.
“Jurin. You won’t get anywhere if you don’t rest.”
She looks at Airi, who gives her a pointed look before indicating the door in the smallest move of her head.
“Please, Jurin.”
Amy’s voice is so quiet and calm that she almost doesn’t register it but it’s enough for her to pause with a heavy tired sigh before turning off the equipment and closing the door behind them.
They walk in slow steps, feet dragging across the concrete until they get to the dorm. Airi hugs her from behind and gets back to her floor after getting a hug from Amy. Bag pushed into her locker, Jurin doesn’t fight when Amy takes her by the wrist and get them into her bed. Chisa is a heavy sleeper and don’t mind the noise unlikely Rei, Jurin’s bunker buddy. It’s so quiet Jurin can hear Juria snoring on the corner and Maya talking her mouth off in her sleep
“I’m scared.” She whispers, fingers playing with the ends of Amy’s long hair.
“Of what?”
They can’t see each other in the dark, but Jurin knows Amy is looking at her, the hand tightening around her waist lets her know she can go on.
“Failing. My vocals are not good, I get so nervous. I can’t, Amy, I can’t.”
“You work as hard as everyone here, of course you can. It’s our destiny.”
“I don’t think that’s how it works.”
“I wish you could see what I see. You’re amazing singer, Jurin.”
Amy reassures her in her own way. Makes Jurin feels like she can, they can. And they will. So her friend gives her kisses, cooks enough to share with her, helps her with the language lessons. At night, if any of them have a nightmare, they seek each other too.
“Think about a wish you want to make. A bonus wish, one to make after you blow the candles on your birthday.” Harvey whispers on a rainy night.
Jurin eyes droops and she hears herself babble. After crying quietly on her friend’s shoulder, she went quiet; listened to Amy’s heartbeat, the smell of lavender and clothes softener makes her body relax, fingers still clutching at her friend’s t-shirt.
The next day they walk silently side by side on their way to the studio, the dorm mostly empty after both of them slept in, not even hearing the rushed morning commotion; jumping from the bed only when Chisa shook both their shoulders, eyes wide in the wake of herself also being late.
“Thank you. For yesterday.”
“We’re best friends. You are my baby, you know that, right?” Amy says, eyes on her sneakers.
She smiles to the floor, it felt good to hear it. She was not alone as long as Amy was by her side. Jurin peek at her friend, dark hair mostly covering her face, chubby cheeks colored pink.
It feels right when she intertwines their fingers intending on not letting go until they had to, “I know.”
...
Jurin’s birthday come in no time. A surprise gathering makes her blush and tear up. So many things occupied her mind that she hadn’t have time to think about her birthday. Until evening, her day was spent on the gym and then on the studio for dance practice.
After they eat the birthday cake the staff sends right after practice, the girls reunite on the rooftop to talk and relax.
It's a little before midnight when everyone has already retreated inside except the two of them.
“Make one last birthday wish. A bonus.” Amy nudges her with a shoulder.
They sit side by side, fingers intertwined on Harvey’s lap. Jurin had already made one wish when she blew the candles earlier but she indulges, closes her eyes and makes another anyway.
“Done.”
She swallows when her heart hiccups and threaten to burst from her chest as Amy cranes her neck to kiss her forehead, “Happy Birthday, baby. I hope all your wishes come true.”
***
20-year-old Jurin debuts, loses Airi but Amy is still there with her. It’s a bittersweet mix of heartbreak and happiness that she doesn’t have time to dwell on because she has taken a new hole. Leadership. She never saw herself as a leader, she thought she didn’t have the skills and yet she was trusted on it and had been working hard to do her best.
She’s surprised with cake and flowers and letters on her first birthday after debut. She gets woken up in the middle of the night and receives hugs and love confessions. Jurin loves her members. They are her second family now.
As a birthday tradition, she finds herself on the roof with Amy again.
“Time for your bonus birthday wish.” Harvey nudges her just as she had done on the last couple of years.
But this time it feels different. There has been this energy between them lately, so fuzzy and comfortable that always makes her stomach flip.
It's been the long staring and the way they can communicate silently even more comfortably now, it’s been the little touches and the silent support, the little acts of taking care of each other and understanding of each other – even if they did argue from time to time. She tries to think it’s their intimacy growing as they spend more and more time together, doesn’t want to acknowledge that one thought on the back of her head, doesn’t want to manifest it either, cannot even if it feels right and makes her feel silly good and thrilled.
Nonetheless, she makes her wish and licks her lips nervously, feels she’s been stared at before she even reopens her eyes, so she keeps them closed for one more second. Her pulse jumps up on her throat involuntarily when she feels long fingers wrapping gently around her neck, warm breath against her cheek.
“Is this okay?”
There was no mistake in the intention of the question. Heart still trying to burst from her chest, Jurin just nods, unable to speak.
There is one more second. A second that feels like eternity and then like a shooting star. Dropping straight up on her heart when Amy’s lips, so soft and warm, presses against her own. Her toes curl inside her shoes when Amy’s thumb caresses her jaw, fingers splayed behind her ear and neck, moving her lips so carefully and unhurriedly that it sends Jurin to another dimension. She clings to the cotton on Amy’s t-shirt afraid she her legs may fail her whe she feels the other girl clench her fingers firmly around her nape.
They break the kiss slowly, gasping for air, breathing against each other, both flustered and eyes casted down. Jurin leans in again and kisses Amy softly, reassuring. Cheeks and ears burning, they turn back to stare at Seoul’s night sky when Jurin lays her head against her shoulder. It’s a comfortable silence, she feels giddy and happy, takes another deep breath; only hears Amy’s breathing heavily too when her heart stops thumping against her ears.
Jurin touches her tingling lips, tastes the traces of strawberry lip gloss, she couldn’t believe this just happened. Just like her weird dreams and flitting tired thoughts after an exhausting day.
When Harvey slips a hand down to her waist to squeeze it for a second, Jurin doesn’t have to hear the words to know that she wants her wish to come true.
Jurin is glad she repeated her bonus birthday wish from one year ago.
...
Their schedule is packed and they prepare heavily for the next comeback, there are also Korean and English classes, media and makeup training and everything in between that wears all members down to the last bone.
Their relationship hasn’t changed and yet everything feels different. They practice and focus on their jobs. They eat and watch videos together on the little time off they have. There are still hand kisses and arm kisses but there’s also shoulder and neck kisses, lingering ones. Sometimes there’s the ones at the corner of the mouth that makes Jurin’s neck skin raise with goosebumps. They go out on dates, hold hands. Jurin’s collection of Amy’s photos on her phone grows significantly without her even realizing it.
All of this haven’t changed. Except that now Jurin flushes and fumbles because her stomach keeps doing backflips and acting like she’s about to get on stage every time Amy gets near her, talks to her, accepts her.
Jurin keeps finding herself staring, flushes and smiles awkwardly when she’s caught; clings herself more to every moment, to every Amy that exists within the one and only.
On a schedule at the studio one breezy night, Maya teases them, says that they look like they are in a honeymoon phase by just how much time they spend together. Jurin laughs so hard that her eyes squint so hard that she goes blind for a moment, and when she finally manages to stop, Amy has a soft shy smile on her lips, eyes glued to her phone.
When they get home later, after a hot shower and heating left over dinner the members left for them, Jurin checks her phone. 3 notifications, 2 messages from Amy.
[BabyHabi]
Let’s pull a prank on Martin 😈
A new message was sent, almost five minutes after the first one.
I like to spend time with you 🥺
They pull the prank and then take Maya for ice cream, Juria and Hinata joining in.
On the way home, it’s only natural for them to link hands. And even though it’s something they do very often, Harvey’s cold palm against hers makes Jurin hyperaware of their skinship. They pause on the sidewalk waiting for traffic permission to cross the street, the heat rising right away on her cheeks and tip of the ears when Harvey leans down to give a soft kiss to the side of her head.
They lock eyes for a second, looking away quickly, shy on being aware of what it means for them now. The warm fuzzy feeling doesn’t go away, them living under the same roof just further prove her that it feels right to let it spread across her chest, twists her core, excites her. Now even though they haven’t talked about it yet. The kiss. She just knows for certain about what she feels. Jurin can’t be wrong about it.
Jurin squeezes Amy's hand and hope she can get the message.
…
When they finally have a day off, Amy takes her for a walk around Han River. They eat sukiyaki from a Japanese restaurant right around the corner of the river strip, take pictures on a purikura booth and share sweet popcorn while they watch the sunset.
On the way home snow falls slowly but not less freezy. Jurin tugs on her hand, making Harvey look at her through the sunglasses she still has on even night has already blanketed the sky. The leader smiles at how cute the younger girl is with a bright red shade painting her cheeks and tip of her nose, the way her long wavy hair fall over the heavy winter jacket she’s wearing; makes Jurin sigh when she pushes the sunglasses up to rest it on top of her head.
They take a step closer to each other in a synchronized uncoordinated move, giving space to the unconscious pull to be near each other. Jurin can feel Harvey’s hand on her lower back and takes her time admiring how plump lips look softer than usual with a coat of strawberry gloss applied on them.
Noticing the stare, Amy smiles shyly at her when Jurin gets on the tip of her toes. The taller girl’s eyes shine against the low light in the quiet alley street and Jurin can’t help but lower her gaze to her lips before darting back to dark brown eyes, silent question answered immediately.
They both gasp at the contact. Jurin struggles to keep on her toes as Harvey puts more passion into the kiss, squeezing her hips in the process. They grunt at how Jurin miscalculated strength presses Harvey against a cold brick wall.
It isn’t until the snowflakes start to get into their scarfs that they seem to tune in back into the world enough to break the kiss, chests rising and breathless as if they just performed a whole song. Jurin gulps and look around, having forgotten where they were for a moment. Amy leans in again and Jurin has to clutch on her shoulders to keep herself upright, her legs feeling suddenly wobble when Amy squeezes her hips again, pulling the shorter girl tighter against herself.
Jurin feels her cheeks burning when Harvey holds her eyes, licks her lips slowly.
“I like it when you’re a little reckless.” She reassures the leader and it sounds like a confession.
Dark eyes take their time on her face, eyes flitting to her lips for a moment. Jurin’s response is almost automatic when she nods, eager, a smile lifting Harvey’s cheeks up before she leans in to kiss the older girl softly.
When she opens her eyes again, feeling dazzled, Amy is still looking at her, eyes sparklying under the streetlights. Jurin squeezes the side of the taller girl’s neck and asks “What?” when said girl can’t stop looking at her, mapping her face with a loose smile on her lips.
Amy groans to the sky before taking Jurin’s hand in between her own, “I just- I need to warn you about this before we go any further: there’s a no refund policy. I can’t be returned once we make it official. I can’t be returned.”
Jurin’s laugh echoes loudly through the empty street until it’s only heavy breath and caramel strawberry tastes on her lips again.
***
21-year-old Jurin wakes up on a Saturday with a kiss to the base of her neck and a cold hand on her bare stomach. Her abs tighten at the sudden attack on her warm skin. She doesn’t have to open her eyes to know its owner.
“Babe, no, cold.”
That’s all she can mutter before turning around to bury her face on a soft warm neck, the hand now lukewarm turns comforting on her back. Jurin purrs at the back rubs, clinging more to Amy, just to be rewarded with a smiley kiss on her forehead.
“Heh, we’re waiting for you to start breakfast.”
“Five more minutes.”
“Ok.”
Amy makes motion to get up and out of bed but the leader groans, arms and leg locking the taller girl down on the mattress. The blonde lets out a squeal in surprise but doesn’t try to escape.
Jurin squishes her face more against her neck, “Where are you going?”
“You’re so needy.” Amy chuckles and kisses her wild bedhead.
The leader doesn’t answer, already being surrounded by the fog of sleep and comfort again. It felt good to lay under the covers with her girlfriend on a day off.
They had a full week, full of schedules. Shooting on the day of her birthday then giving interviews. It was gruesome, the amount of tiredness they were feeling after the whole week on a run kept everyone down.
Jurin wakes up again with kisses to her cheeks, one shy kiss to the lips, then a full one, being encouraged by her own leg over a wide hip.
Harvey is breathless when they finally come back to the real world, “I brought your breakfast.”
“Wait, no, let’s eat with everyone in the living room.”
“Baby, it’s already one in the afternoon. Everyone is out for the day.”
Jurin groans, “You are all traitors.”
“Everybody was hungry, Hina wanted to get to Dongdaemun before rush hour.”
“Why didn’t you go with them?”
“I still have a birthday present for you.”
Jurin groans louder for one last time, pulling the covers over her bare legs, a hoodie already being placed by her side, “Thank you, love.”
Amy nods absently already moving to set the tray over Jurin’s small center table, “Come, let’s eat.”
Jurin drags herself out of bed, comforter in hand and doesn’t even try to pretend she would sit on the pillow by her girlfriend’s side. Just sits herself comfortably behind the taller girl and lays her head down against a strong soft back. Amy squeezes the clasped hands around her waist comfortingly and proceeds to feed the older girl over her shoulder. Jurin lays down again on the younger girl’s back, munching on a melon, eyes already closed.
“Don’t get bored yet, our bath is almost ready.”
Jurin perks up, chin on Harvey’s shoulder. “Really?”
…
Jurin steps into the bathtub and sink down right away. The water in on the perfect temperature, her favorite. She pushes the wet hair out of her face and watches Amy lightening a few more candles near the tub before getting in too.
Jurin closes her eyes when the younger girl rubs the soaked cloth over the expanse of her bare back, taking time to make sure every inch gets attention. The taller girl gets the bath gel and starts to knead the shoulder’s muscles in front of her. Amy hums quietly, satisfied with her own work when Jurin’s head rolls to the side, a relieved sigh escaping her mouth. Jurin still feels the exhaustion lingering in her bones, even if she got to sleep for much longer than she is used to lately.
“Come here.”
Jurin can’t help but groan loudly again when her skin makes contact with her girlfriend’s. The blonde girl’s arms come around her and they both let out a comforting noise, chuckling at the synchrony.
The steamy water, the music playing, all of it makes her melt. The kiss on her temple doesn’t help either. Harvey hums against her hair and Jurin chuckles, “Don’t make me sleep on you.”
“Then don’t.” Harvey says but peppers the side of her face with slow kisses again.
“I will if you keep up like this.”
“I’d try to carry you out but I don’t think we’re allowed to have a concussion right now.”
Jurin hums in agreement, silence falling into the dim lit room. She feels her body relax even if there’s still a lingering tension on her muscles.
“I want us to last forever.” Amy says quietly after a long moment.
“I want too. But we cannot count on that.”
“Honey… I was trying to be romantic, don’t mess it up.”
Jurin twists her torso around to face the blonde girl. Water sloshes over the tub’s edge as she kisses the pout out of Amy’s lips, knowing they’ll have to clean it all up soon.
“I’m sorry, baby. I just-.” She shakes her head, a knot forming on her throat.
Amy avoids her eyes for a moment, chews on her lower lip before nodding. Jurin kisses the corner of her mouth, reassures her, “I love you, this will never change. And I’m not in a hurry, our future is destined to be whatever it is.”
Amy leans her forehead against her temple and nods, “I know. I love you.”
Jurin giggles with the feeling of soft wet lips against her temple, leading to more kisses until Amy comes up breathless.
“ And you need to make your bonus birthday wish.”
They haven’t had the opportunity to go up the roof to carry out their tradition. The actual day of her birthday had been filled with work and by the time Jurin could go to bed, everyone else was asleep. It didn’t feel right to do it without her girlfriend there with her so she just decided to give it a pass instead.
Jurin smiles, “I thought I had missed the chance.”
“I talked to the wishing fairies. They opened up an exception.”
It was on moments like this that Jurin asked herself how she got so luck. She had an amazing best friend, a lovely caring girlfriend, a talented member. Amy crept into Jurin’s heart so quickly that Jurin doesn’t even know how it happened, it just did.
Bath done and, on the rooftop with her girlfriend hugging her from behind, she closes her eyes and repeats her bonus birthday wish for the third time.
Jurin wishes that Amy gets to stay in her life forever.
