Work Text:
The airport was buzzing with activity as Yeonjun stepped off the plane from Paris, his heart pounding with excitement. The City of Love had been a splendid backdrop for his work, but his thoughts had never strayed far from his precious Beomgyu, who had been left behind due to a badly sprained ankle. Throughout the trip, Yeonjun had video-called Beomgyu as much as he could, trying to comfort him through the screen. He could still picture Beomgyu's pouty face, the way he looked so adorable even while complaining about having nothing to do but stare at the ceiling. Yeonjun's longing to hold his boyfriend again intensified with every step that brought him closer to home.
As the taxi pulled up in front of their apartment building, Yeonjun felt a surge of anticipation. He quickly paid the driver, grabbed his luggage and the multitude of shopping bags filled with gifts, and dashed inside. His heart raced as he took the elevator up, and the moment the doors slid open, he was practically running to their door.
Fumbling with the keys, he finally managed to open the door and rushed inside. "Gyu, I'm home!" he called out, his voice filled with joy and relief.
Beomgyu, who had been lounging on the couch with his leg propped up, turned his head towards the door. His eyes lit up, and a smile spread across his face. "Jun!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with happiness and longing.
Yeonjun dropped his bags and immediately crossed the room, scooping Beomgyu up into his arms. "I've missed you so much, my princess," he murmured, pressing kisses all over Beomgyu's face.
Beomgyu giggled, wrapping his arms around Yeonjun's neck. "I missed you too, Jun. It felt like forever."
Yeonjun carried Beomgyu to their bedroom, carefully laying him down on the bed. "I have so many things for you," he said excitedly, going back to the living room to fetch the bags. He returned with an array of gifts—designer clothes, shoes, chocolates, perfumes, all the finest things Paris had to offer.
Beomgyu's eyes widened in amazement as Yeonjun showed him each item. "You didn't have to get me all of this, Jun," he said, though he couldn't hide his delight.
"I wanted to spoil you," Yeonjun replied, leaning in to kiss him tenderly. "You deserve it all and more. Plus, I couldn't stop thinking about you the whole time I was there."
Beomgyu blushed, his heart swelling with love for the man before him. "Thank you, Jun. I love everything, but I love you the most."
Yeonjun smiled, his eyes softening with affection. "And I love you, Gyu. So much." He lay down next to Beomgyu, pulling him into his arms and holding him close. "How's your ankle? Does it still hurt?"
"It's getting better," Beomgyu replied, snuggling into Yeonjun's chest. "But it was so boring without you."
Yeonjun chuckled softly. "Well, I'm back now. And I'm not letting you out of my sight." He kissed the top of Beomgyu's head, breathing in the familiar, comforting scent of his boyfriend.
For the rest of the day, Yeonjun didn't put Beomgyu down for a second. He carried him to the kitchen, where he prepared their favorite meals, feeding Beomgyu bites of delicious food in between kisses. They watched movies together, Beomgyu nestled comfortably in Yeonjun's lap. Every so often, Yeonjun would pepper Beomgyu's face with more kisses, making him giggle and squirm with happiness.
That night, as they lay in bed together, Yeonjun held Beomgyu close, their fingers intertwined. "I hated being away from you," Yeonjun whispered. "Every night, I wished you were there with me."
"I hated it too," Beomgyu replied softly. "But you're here now, and that's all that matters."
Yeonjun smiled, kissing Beomgyu's forehead. "You're my everything, Gyu. I'll never leave you alone like that again."
Beomgyu closed his eyes, feeling safe and loved in Yeonjun's arms. "I love you, Jun. Forever."
"Forever," Yeonjun echoed, holding Beomgyu tighter.
In the days that followed, Yeonjun continued to pamper Beomgyu. He insisted on carrying him everywhere, even when Beomgyu protested that he could manage on his own. "I like carrying you," Yeonjun would say with a smile. "You're my baby, and I want to take care of you."
Beomgyu couldn't help but feel more than happy. He loved the way Yeonjun doted on him, how he made him feel so special and cherished. Even simple moments, like sharing a cup of coffee or reading together, were filled with love and laughter.
One evening, as they sat on the balcony, watching the sunset, Beomgyu turned to Yeonjun, his eyes sparkling. "Jun, thank you for everything. For all the gifts, the love, the care... it means the world to me."
Yeonjun cupped Beomgyu's face in his hands, looking deep into his eyes. "You don't have to thank me, Gyu. Loving you is the best thing that's ever happened to me. And I'll keep doing it every day, as long as you'll let me."
Beomgyu smiled, tears of happiness welling up in his eyes. "Then you'll be loving me forever, because I'll never stop loving you."
Yeonjun leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender kiss. As the sky turned shades of pink and orange, they held each other close, their hearts beating in perfect harmony.
In that moment, surrounded by the love they had for each other, Beomgyu knew that no matter what challenges came their way, they would always have each other. And that was all he needed.
