Well this sure is something dazai never thought would happen, ango is a traitor, Odasakus kids are dead, Odasaku is dead, oda wants dazai to become a hero...
Dazai is sitting in his shipping container thinking of a plan, he needs to become a hero because he promised Odasaku
But for that he would need a hero permit which you can only get after graduating a hero school
So why not the most famous hero school in Japan?
UA is supposed to be an extremely difficult school for only the best heros and dazai wanted to test himself to see if he was actually worthy of being a hero(and how much chaos he could get away with causing there)
Dazai picked up his phone and dailed a number, the person he was calling picked up
- who is this?
- hiiiii ango !
- wait dazai?! I literally just got a new phone and number!
-I know you did, that's why I called your new number and not your old one, duuuh
- dazai what do you want?
- Well Odasaku is dead and I promised him I would become a hero so if you could somehow enrol me in UA-
- wait Oda Is dead?! I...im so sorry dazai...i-
- can you help me or not? I Don't care about your stupid apologies
- right ofcorse, I'll see what I can do

- i can enrol you into this school but I would have to forge some fake documents under moris name since he is your legal guardian
- I was afraid that would be a problem
- dazai if you get into this school you will have to be on your best behaviour, they will think mori is your parent and call him
- can't you just put someone else's name?
- I'm sorry dazai but I cant, it has to be your legal guardian and mori is the only family you have, he is the one responsible for you, you have to understand im already getting myself in plenty of danger making fake documents under his name without him knowing
- fine fine, how long will this take?
- it might take about 8 hours
- ehh fine, just give me updates
Dazai hung up, he has a few hours before he leaves...he might actually care a bit about the port mafia as much as he hates to admit it, he has been here since he was 5
he grew up here, in a way the pm is home to him and he feels somthing tying him to the mafia, some magnetic liquid running through his vains thats apart of his blood pulling him towards the mafia
As much as he hates to admit it he will miss this place, he will miss chuuya, and maybe even mori even tho dazai hates him(mori isnt a pedo in this au) he will miss hirotsu and some of the other members
Dazai will miss yokohama to, its not like he has never left the city before, its just he will be leaving for a longer time then he is used to
Dazai leaves his shipping container and calls chuuya, chuuya picks up
-hey chuuya!
- dazai? What do you want makarel?
- I'm just bored, can we go to the arcade together please?
- wait wait wait, "please"? You're being polite? And you didn't even insult me this entire time, your not dazai! No way!
- chuuya! I just want to hang out, come on or ill tell kouyou about that you're the one that broke her favourite teacup!
-ok ok fine, I guess you are dazai, he is the only one that knows about the teacup, but are you ok? Are you sick? Wait is this about odas death
- no im perfectly fine chuuya
- dazai i can tell something is wrong, and I know how much you cared about Oda
- its fine chuuya, I'm used to it, everything good always comes to an end, it just ends quicker for me
- dazai I'm on a mission right now, I can't hang out with you today, let's go to the arcade tomorrow, and the we can go to your favourite rooftop if you want, the one with the best view over the port and the sunset
- ye...that would be nice(if im still here tommorow), thanks
- ofcorse, as much as you're annoying you are still my freind, unfortunately, anyway I have to go now, bye

(Fun fact, irl dazai osamus crush gave him a newt and dazai hated it but pretended to like it)
The call ended, dazai didnt know what to do, he still had a long time before he had to leave, but he didn't want to act suspicious
Mori gave him a mission but he wasn't going to do it, he was trying to become a hero wasn't he? Even tho the concept of heros and villains is extremely stupid to him
Dazai went to the arcade by himself, it wasn't as fun without chuuya but he stayed there for about 2 hours
Then he decided to walk around the city, preferably in places where nobody from the port mafia would see him
It was 18:00 now, he still had time to whatch the sunset
Chuuya mentioned dazais favourite rooftop before, that's where dazai will go, he will sit there and watch the sunset until he gets a call from ango which should be in about 2 hours
He hadn't been up here alone for a long time, usally chuuya always follows him like a good dog to make sure dazai doesn't jump of
But this time it was oda preventing him from jumping as he looked over at the port and the setting sun
Dazai wasn't sure how but it was as if he could feel his freinds hand on his shoulder making him stay in place
Dazai didnt want to move, he didn't want the illusion of Odasakus presence to ever dissappear
Even when the sun had fully set and he could see the star filled sky
Until his phone rang, it was ango ofcorse, because of ango dazai lost Odasaku yet again, dazai sighed and picked up the phone
- dazai, I enrolled you into the school, you should get going, the entrance exam is in a few days but you will have time to research everything you need
- alright
And with that dazai hangs up and rushes back to his shipping container

dazai packed everything in his backpack, he took some clothes, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a small stuffed animal that looked like a black cat
(chuuya got that cat for dazai from a claw machine because chuuya thought it looked like dazai, dazai pretended not to like it but he secretly really likes it and thinks of chuuya every time he looks at the cat)
A small toy Q made for him using sticks, glue, paint and glitter and he also took a few drawings elise gave to him
(a drawing of dazai, a drawing of elise, a drawing of Q, a drawing of chuuya, and a few drawings of mori getting killed in many different ways)
Odasakus coat and some bandages,Dazai decided that was all that he needed, but then he remembered something he absolutely needed to do
He snuck into moris office, he dug through some stuff and found moris wallet, he took out some of the money and the credit card, then he shredded some of the probably important documents, stole some expensive looking stuff, and reorganised everything a diffrent way so that mori wouldn't be able to find anything
Then on his way out, dazai just so happens to grab some lemons from kanjis lab and "accidently" put them in chuuyas car
Dazai has everything he needs now, he grabs his bag and sneaks out of the port mafia base, he goes to the nearest train station and gets on a train that should take him to Musutafu in a few hours, in an hour he gets a text from ango telling him that he rented the apartment for dazai and sent him the address, great. Dazai checks google maps and conveniently the apartment isn't to far from the school, it would be a 15 minute bus ride
When dazai gets down from the train it's dark outside, he leaves the train station and looks around the city
he doesn't see anyone in the streets, here are some billboards and other stuff around with what dazai assumes are pictures of heros on them
dazai should really have done some more research on heros before he came here, it seems that heros are a bigger deal to this city then he originally thought
