Chapter Text
Kazuha awoke smelling the faint scent of hot chocolate. He sat up and stretched before getting out of bed; he immediately felt the coldness of the floor as he put his foot down. Kazuha walked into the kitchen to find his dear lover, Capitano.
"good morning, dear."
Capitano turned to face Kazuha, seeing the ever-so-sweet smile on his face as he spoke in a soft voice.
"good morning to you as well. I hope I wasn't being too loud."
Kazuha walked over, planting a soft kiss on his lover's cheek.
"Don't worry, you didn't wake me up."
"Good, I made us hot chocolate."
Capitano offered up a cup, glistening steam coming from within.
"Thank you, dear."
Kazuha gently took the cup from his hands.
"Careful though, it's still pretty hot."
Kazuha smiled, gently blowing on the hot beverage. He looked out the window, seeing the glistening snow that covered the ground. Sneznahya almost always had snow on the ground, a starch contrast from his homeland Inazuma. He loved Sneznahya, but he dearly missed Inazuma; he would have to plan a trip back for a few days.
"I have a meeting later today, so I most likely won't be home for dinner tonight."
Kazuha was pulled out of his thoughts by Capitano's words. A pang of sadness went through him. It was starting to feel like the two had less and less time to spend with one another. Though Capitano was a Fatui Harbinger, he was bound to be a busy person, and Kazuha understood that he still felt lonely whenever his lover wasn't with him.
"Ah..ok, I hope that meeting goes well."
"I'm sorry I haven't had more time to spend with you lately."
Kazuha was caught off guard by his sudden statement. He knew Capitano still loved him, and he understood that he had a high position, one that was important.
"It's ok, I know that you still love me. Work sometimes keeps people busy. The only thing I ask is that you don't overwork yourself."
Capitano smiled weakly at his words. Something about the way Kazuha cared so much made him fall even more in love with him.
"I'll try not to, I promise."
There was an awkward silence between the two for a minute before finally Capitano spoke up again.
"Anyway, let's drop that for now. We still have a few hours before my meeting that we can spend together."
"How about we finish our drinks eat some breakfast, then go on a walk?"
Capitano nodded, "I think that's a wonderful idea."
The two quickly made breakfast and finished up their hot chocolate. Capitano did the dishes as Kazuha got ready for the day. Soon after he finishes the two head out.
They walked a trail that was familiar to them. The gravel walkway was covered in a thick blanket of snow. Kazuha leaned into Capitano as they walked.
"Are you cold dear?" Capitano asked looking down at Kazuha.
"Just a little bit, I'll survive though"
"Are you sure?" Capitano asked with a teasing voice.
"Yes, I'm almost positive."
The two laughed as the snow continued crunching beneath their steps. Kazuha remembered the thought he had earlier about planning a trip to Inazuma, he knew that his lover wouldn't decline the trip.
"You know...I was thinking maybe when you get less busy again we can plan a trip to Inazuma."
Capitano smiled and nodded. "I think that's a wonderful idea, my dear."
Kazuha smiled, the thought of being able to visit all of his friends from Inazuma made him happy. It had been around a year since their last trip to Inazuma, which felt much longer than that.
The two continued to walk and talk before finally turning back to head home, as it was almost time for Capitano to leave. When they finally reached home he gave Kazuha a kiss.
"I really am sorry I have to leave darling" He felt like he was away from Kazuha so much, and it didn't help he didn't have many friends in Sneznahya. Perhaps someday they could move to Inazuma, maybe after they got married.
"It's ok really, there are still a few household chores that need finishing and I have some books to finish up reading, so I'll be plenty busy while you're gone."
Capitano smiled and sighed. "I'm glad to know you won't be bored out of your mind while I'm away."
"I won't be I promise. Enough talking though, you need to go before you are late"
"I know." He said giving Kazuha one last kiss, before turning to leave.
"I love you dear," Kazuha shouted before stepping into the quiet house.
Capitano still couldn't believe that Kazuha was his.
