Chapter Text
Quirks aren’t a recent thing, and began appearing over two hundred years ago. Though Quirks, as a name for super-powers, is a more recent thing. The first usage of “Quirk”, in this context, was 70 years ago. Heroes have only been a thing for the last 100 years.
Inko Midoriya sighed, as she sat in the training room of the Quirk Counselor’s office, thinking about Quirks, and the Quirk of her son. Her son, Izuku Midoriya, had been flying around, and lifting heavy objects all day. His Quirk, Tactile Telekinesis, was great for that. Apparently, he had this telekinetic field around his body that allowed him to not only fly but increase every other physical ability he had. That is what the Specialist had said when they visited the old man.
Watching as the Counselor launched several projectiles at her son. Dodgeballs, rubber bouncy balls, footballs, tennis balls, bb's, airsoft pellets, and even rubber bullets. Those were just a few of the things that the Counselor launched at her son, before the day was finished. And they all just bounced off of him, or shattered on contact, leaving him unharmed. Inko sighed once more. She was about to be one busy mother.
Returning home, the pair are met at the door by Hisashi Midoriya. Inko gasped, as tears of joy fell from her eyes. Hisashi is a tall man with broad shoulders, slicked back black hair, and blue eyes. And Izuku literally flew into his father’s arms. Spinning the boy around once or twice, Hisashi sets him down, and asks, “Was that his Quirk?”
Inko nods, as she answers, “Tactile Telekinesis.”
Hisashi kneels down, looking at his son. He then asks, “So what can your Quirk do?”
Izuku answers, “I can fly, and lift really heavy things, and things don’t hurt if people hit me. Isn’t that cool!”
Hisashi chuckles. He replies, “That is very cool.”
Unlocking the door, Hisashi pats his son on the back, and ushers him inside. He says, “Go play in your room, okay Izuku?”
Izuku nods, taking off his shoes as Hisashi shuts the door behind the boy. Turning to his wife. He asks, “Why is his Quirk so different from ours?”
Inko answers, “Sashi… It’s an evolved version of my Quirk, that is what the Specialist said. The blood-tests confirmed it. Their is a telekinetic field around his body that allows him to mentally control his own body, and anything he is touching. Though the Counselor didn’t test that application of his Quirk today. That’s next week.”
Hisashi sighs. He replies, “Sorry, if that sounded accusatory, Ko-chan. I-”
Inko interrupts him, and says, “It’s fine Sashi. You’ve been gone for quite a while. It’s a normal thought of worry to have. Now let’s go inside. I promised Zuku that he’d get katsudon tonight. You know how he is with that stuff.”
Hisashi chuckled. It’s been a while, but he still knew just how much that Izuku loved katsudon. It was his favorite food after all. Opening the door for his wife, he taps her on the ass as he passes by. Jumping, she turns around, lightly smacking him on his chest. Entering the home, he shuts the door behind him. Smirking, he whispers, “When Zuku goes to sleep, let’s make him a sibling.”
Inko turns around in his embrace, and smiles. She asks, “How long are you staying this time?”
Hisashi smiles. He answers, “Me leaving? Not for quite a while. I’m back permanently.”
Hearing that, Inko cried tears of joy that practically flooded their home. He wasn’t going to leave. He is staying! It was like music to her ears. It was like when she first found out she was pregnant, and Hisashi cried more than she did. After a while, they split, Inko moving to the kitchen to get started on dinner, and Hisashi, well… He had to unpack.
Bringing in his suitcases, Hisashi walked upstairs. He unzips them, and puts the clothes away in their shared dresser, and closet. Putting the suitcase’s away in the closet, Hisashi turns around, seeing Izuku stand proudly in the doorway. He asks, “Whatcha want, Buddy?”
Izuku answers, “I have found out my Hero name!”
Hisashi replies, “You did? What is it?”
Izuku says, “Uh-huh! I will be SUPERMAN!”
Hisashi smiles. Superman, huh? That is quite the name. He asks, “Why is that, Zuku?”
Izuku says, “Because I can fly, and All Might can’t!”
Hisashi hums. That was quite the reasoning for such a name. He then chuckles, and picks his son up. Carrying him downstairs, he says, “Izuku, I don’t know about that? All Might is pretty strong. I don’t know if you’ll be able to beat him in an arm wrestling contest.”
Hearing that, Inko turns around, and sees her son flexing his arms with a pout on his face. She chuckles, as Izuku says, “The Doctor said I’d be really strong, though!”
Hisashi replies, “I am not doubting that, Buddy. But, what I am saying is that All Might is super, super strong. He’d been a hero for a very long time, Izuku. All Might has been a Hero for as long as I have been alive.”
Izuku shocked, asks, “He has!?”
Hisashi nods. He answers, “I remember when he was working as a Pro in the United States.”
Izuku says, “Wow, Papa. Your old.”
Hisashi instantly slouched, as Inko could only laugh as hard as she could. Calming herself down as best she could, Inko took her son from her husband. Setting him down, she hears Hisashi whisper, “I’m only 31.”
Feeling his wife hug him, he turns to her and asks, “I’m not that old right?”
Inko smiles up at him, and answers, “Not at all, Hunny. Not at all.”
Hisashi whispers, “Thanks.”
Acting much more hurt than he was, to play it up for Izuku, Hisashi sat on their couch, and loudly hummed as he turned on the tv. Flipping past the cartoons, Izuku was by his side, telling him to turn it back. Hisashi then says, “What do you say to a person when you hurt their feelings?”
Izuku tilts his head for a moment to think. He replies, “I’m sorry, Papa.”
Hisashi nods, as he says, “Your forgiven.”
Turning it back to the cartoons, Inko smiles. Turning her attention back to the katsudon. It was almost done, just a few more minutes, and those minutes felt like seconds. Before she knew it, she called, “Izuku, Hisashi! Dinner is done.”
Izuku jumped from the couch, yelling, “KATSUDON! YAY!”
Hisashi laughed, following after him. Sitting beside his son, Inko puts their plate of food before them before sitting down across from him. Giving thanks for the food, Hisashi talks about what he has done, and experienced while working and living in the United States. He even brought back some souvenirs, which he would give out after dinner, as they were still in their bedroom.
The next day, Izuku had to go to daycare. Apparently, Moma wanted to spend alone time with Papa, and so he had to go. Getting dressed in the summer version of the daycare uniform which consisted of a light-blue t-shirt with a 5-point star on the left breast, a pair of shorts, and white socks. They had indoor slippers there for the children to wear if they wanted. His father was the one to take him.
Getting inside, Izuku quickly spots Kacchan, and walks up to him. His name is Katsuki Bakugo. He has this cool explosion Quirk, it was super strong, but not as strong as him. The blonde before him scoffs. He yells, “Oh, you wanna bet, Deku?”
Izuku tilts his head, confused. He asks, “What?”
Kacchan yells, “If your Quirk is that much stronger than mine? Wanna fucking find out?”
Tilting his head to the other side, Izuku finally understood his friend. He smiles, and nods. Activating his Quirk, Izuku says, “Hit me!”
Kacchan smirked, as his palms snapped, popped, and crackled with small, controlled explosions, to help him produce much more sweat to then unleash a much larger explosion. Kacchan yells, “Don’t go blaming me if you get hurt, Deku!”
Kacchan then launches at him, placing his palm on Izuku’s chest. Igniting the sweat, and the largest explosion he could create was released. Taking a step back, he watched as the dust, and ash settled, revealing that Izuku was uninjured. Kacchan then takes another step back, and smirks. He asks, “What’s the Quirk?”
Izuku answers, “It’s Tactile Tele-kines-is. I can control anything I touch with my mind. The Doctor said that since I’m alway touching myself that it made a field of energy around me. With it, I can become super strong, and fast, and your explosion didn’t hurt, and I can fly. Isn’t that cool!”
Kacchan frowned, thinking about the Quirk for a moment. He then smirked. It was one strong Quirk, if Izuku couldn’t feel one of his explosions. He says, “Deku… Your strong!”
Izuku gasped. That was the biggest compliment that Kacchan could give, well other than giving you a nickname, that one kinda depends on who you are. But after that, they got in trouble for using their Quirks inside, even if Izuku was just giving Katsuki a demonstration of how his Quirk worked. It was too violent, and loud for them to do such a thing inside. As punishment, they had to clean the mess they made from such a big explosion. And when he got home, Moma and Papa had heard what happened, and they were pretty mad. So he was in trouble again. But, he wasn’t getting punished at home, so that was good.
