Xen pov:
I stood close to my brother, lucius was tall and set to be married in 2 years,his bride being a girl called narcissa, from the house of black
I knee her well enough to know her cousin would be in my year, Sirius I heard his name was from our family dinners, I wasn much excited to meet him and I'd been told of his persistent amusement of pranks he tried to pull, I hoped he wouldnt pull one on me as we would soon be family.
Lucius looked in my direction "oi wimp, say bye to mOmMa"
He was mocking me,looking at me as if to call me a mommy's boy,despite himself loving our mother.
I scoffed and walked to my mother who stood pretty next to my father abraxas, I hugged her and my father smiled and nodded at me before he joined me and my mothers hug
"Slytherin or ravenclaw ,you know the rules my xenophillius"said my father.
"Yes,I want to aim for ravenclaw"
He nodded and we stopped hugging ,pulling my brother into a very awkward side hug before letting us walk to the train.
I noticed plenty of people dressed like my parents,robes in all shades of silk and cotton, ranges of kids in uniform and robes like this mothers or simple muggle clothes like me and lucius.
We all wished to enter the train, all of us children practically running to find a compartment to sit in and make friends, I wasn really looking for that as I chose to sit near the back of the train,an empty compartment calling my name, well- not litterally but close to it.
I slid open the door, letting myself inside and closing the door again, I chose the seat on the way so i would move forward while the train moved, so I wouldn be sick any time soon, well hopefully I wouldn't be sick- I'd rather not
Only it was around 4 minutes later that a girl slid open the door, she peaked around the corner just enough to see a tall girl peering over too
She squeaked a greeting "hi!can we sit here? I'm pandora,this is-" The smaller girl was cut off
"Meadows,dorcas meadows" said the taller girl,stepping into the compartment ,not caring if her friends question wasnt answered as she seemingly wanted to sit down.
"I um, yea hi I'm xenophillius" I muttered out ,looking at my nails that seemed to be covered in significantly more dirt than they usually were.
"Great!" The smaller girl said as she plopped down on the row next to me
The girl was blonde,almost a white blonde with pretty pastel blue and pink highlights in it, her eyes where a blue and her skin was tanned and sprinkled in freckles ,some of which where purely just paint that she hadn cleaned off her face, her eyelashes seemed to have paint on them too as they where white and so easy for paint to be seen on.
"You know you have paint on your face?" I said to her ,muttering fairly low,
She replied with a 'huh?' And cocked hee head over at me and stared into my eyes
"He said you have paint on your face, and don stare at the guy like that your gonna creep him out" her friend said,quite loudly and fairly rudely
Pandora, the blonde girl, thanked me and pulled out a mirror to see where it was, however I saw that the dorcas girl was reading a book, 'the great gatsby' I had seen my brothers soon to be wife holding that book,putting it on her shelf in the drawing room once
"Is that book good?" I asked, "I only ask because I was going to read it you see so-"
"Yes" she said plainly ,cradling her book in one hand now to look at me
She had brown skin and had dark brown braids with purple jewelry on the braids, they where cornrows I believe, she had her edges done too, and her makeup was a shiny purple, almost too purple considering she wore a purple dress and black jacket overtop of it.
After that I didnt interact with those girls till half an hour before we exited the train
"Oi, oh hey girls,I was coming to tell m- xenophillius to get into uniform but you 2 should aswell ,we will be at school soon, 1st years?"My brother was asking if they where my year or older and seemingly trying to seem nice so he wouldnt get told of,as he was a prefect this year.
Both girls nodded and dorcas put her book down, staring at him to me as of to say to me 'your brother looks like a git' Which ,coincidentally is exactly what she said once he left.
"Your brother looks like a git"
"Oh- yea he is" I said, shocked she said it out loud
"dorcas!"pandora whisper yelled "you cant say that- oh my God I'm so sorry"
I laughed "it's fine, he is a git, but hes also right we should get changed" I grabbed up and got my uniform and headed for the toilets to let the girls change
