“iwa-channn~” oikawa playfully sung, closing the door of his locker as he finished changing. him and Iwaizumi, being captain and vice captain, typically stayed back late to lock up and clean the gym. not that he hated it.
“what, shittykawa.” iwaizumi replied blunty, an unamused expression planted on his face as he buttoned up his uniform. oikawa grinned and got closer, leaning on the closed locker beside iwaizumi’s.
“there’s this girl in our 2nd period. y’know the one with the blonde hair who sits beside me?” he asked, making sure to watch iwaizumi’s expression as he continued to speak. “she was eyeing you all lesson. and has been for quite some time. she’s cute right?”
iwaizumi adjusted his tie as he glanced at the brunette with an unreadable expression, tch typical iwaizumi.. “oh right… whats her name… kiyoka?? no.. kiyomi? oh right, kyoka. i know her”
“huh? you do?” oikawa looked slightly surprised. and it was evident. ‘iwa-chan knows girls??’ was all he thought when he was met with a flick on the forehead.
“i mean like, we only spoke once. yesterday, she introduced herself and asked what kind of chocolate i liked.” he rubbed his nape and thought long and hard. “i meann.. valentines is next month but i think shes pranking me.”
“eh?? why would she prank you?” oikawa narrowed his brows in confusion and iwaizumi huffed, closing his locker and turning to face the taller boy.
“i mean, for fun why else? that or she wants to use to me to get closer to you.” iwaizumi placed a hand on his chin and closed his eyes. “or maybe she was dared to talk to me.”
“iwa-chan maybe she just likes you?” oikawa laughed as he looked for any other explanation than her liking you. “No way, all the girls like you dumbass.” he stared at oikawas stupid smile.
“c’monn iwa-channn!! be positive!” the taller boy feinned and shoved his hands in his pockets, casually strolling out the locker room by your side, locking up.
the walk back was pretty silent. the orangey-yellow light enveloped the boys. oikawa turned to look at iwaizumi. lost in thought, he was. thinking about god knows what. the ace’s olive green eyes illuminated in the silky symphony of colour that transitioned smoothly into midnight purple. a couple white, glowing specs appearred, more appearing wherever oikawa’s eyes danced to.
“hey, iwa-chan” oikawa spoke, his gaze moving slowly down to the path in front of him. “if you got a girlfriend, you’d be happy right?” he continued, iwaizumi paying close attention to his words now.
“i mean.. yeah obviously?” he said as if it were common sense, cocking a brow at the brunette. where was he going with this.?? “i see..” said brunette mumbled. he turned to iwaizumi wth a grin.
“i’ll do my best then.”

iwaizumi watched as oikawa confidently walked in front of him. ‘huh? do his best?? this is about ME getting a girlfriend.. gee he really is dumb…’
