Itasha never wanted to quit so badly before.
As expected, the Gym Auto went down just like every other Automonster. In a way it was a relief, because if they did succeed that meant less time to enjoy Earth as it was now. She’d come to love the small joys of this part of the planet. And to think there's more and she's only scratching the surface. There’s so much to do and see and try out, and the more this went on the more it sounded appealing to pack it all up and just live.
But Itasha’s here walking off with Dekotorade and Yarucar to sulk at some restaurant with their dwindling Earth savings. Maybe if she was subtle enough to tiptoe around, she could get a part time job to make ends meet better. It could be fun too, pretending to just be a part of this place in a more permanent way.
Maybe then she could meet people and talk to them. Get to know someone beyond the pretense of invader and source of gyaughsoline, beyond Hashillian menace and Boonboomger.
If she ever quit her job, maybe her best shot at a career change was becoming a Boonboomger. Reasons for this included:
- She'd be on the winning side of a fight for once.
- They seemed happy enough.
- She had more time to explore cute Earth things.
- Boon Pink! She's enough of a reason with how much energy she has and how she just did things in battle that made sense for her. Maybe they can be friends.
Too bad they never really got to talking. Wouldn’t have been a good look but professionalism was something she threw out way before she got here so what was one more scolding? They were losing anyway, so why not have time to talk to a cute Earth girl?
Yeah , that’s another thing to add to the list of reasons why she should quit if she ever got a clear shot of doing so soon.
Wait, could there be two Boon Pinks? Hm… that might be a problem. She’d have to find another colour that made sense for her. Obviously there probably wasn’t much of a choice in real life, but this is a what-if filled daydream she’ll wander off to while Cannonborg yells at them for the umpteenth time.
So anyway, what colour... maybe another shade of pink? Some shades had some pretty drasticly different names so that might count, right? Hm... no, it's definitely better if she went for a different colour entirely. How about white? Or maybe green? Hm...
And deep down, even if there was a very high chance she might be forcefully modded soon instead of being left alone, she hoped him calling in the purple guy to “clean up” and somehow fail in taking out the Boonboomgers was a sign that the end of this job was near.
