Work Text:
“I wish we could have been roommates again.” Jimin was saying as he and Taehyung walked towards their new rooms for the semester.
“I mean I kind of get wanting people to meet new people and make new friends outside of their community, but I’m going to miss being your roommate a lot.”
Jimin just sighed as he held one of his moving boxes closer into his chest. He and Taehyung were both dark witches with an affinity towards illusionism and had known each other practically their entire lives. Their families were two of the most famous witching families and It wasn’t a surprise for anyone when they both got into the most prestigious magic school in the country. Their families had both expected the two of them to get together at some point and planned on an arranged marriage for them once they graduated. Taehyung and Jimin, however, only held platonic feelings for one another.
They always knew what would be expected of them. They knew from the moment they held hands at their high school graduation and their parents started talking about marriage. They knew, but they also just wanted to continue to be best friends for the rest of their lives.
The school in the past had always allowed dorming students to choose their roommates. Of course there was always the option for random, but Jimin and Taehyung had never considered that even once. They started their magical career together and planned to end it that way. The school sent out an email in the middle of summer before their second year explaining that they wanted light and dark witches to spend more time together. The dark and light witch communities had always been separate of each other, each side keeping to their own. The school, however, wanted the opportunity for dark and light witches to work with each other in harmony and were deciding to do random roommates where one would be a light witch and one would be a dark witch. Jimin and Taehyung were absolutely appalled and didn’t know what to do with themselves.
“I just think it’s bullshit.” Jimin had whined one night after they had received the email. “Should I ask my mom to contact the school and let them room us together anyway?”
Taehyung had just laughed at him. “People already hate us enough, Jimin. You know the reputations we have because of our families. The email said that some people will end up in a triple so there is still a chance for us anyway.”
It was true that everyone knew of Jimin and Taehyung’s families. It had made national news when both of the family successors got into school together.
Unfortunately for the two dark witches, they did not end up in a triple together. So, they decided to give up on becoming roommates with each other. They were already ostracized by their peers and didn’t want to add to that further.
“It just feels weird that we don’t have to take classes with light witches but we have to room with them.” Jimin continued complaining as he finally got to his room and stood outside, not wanting to leave Taehyung.
Taehyung just patted his shoulder sympathetically as he continued on towards his own room.
“I’ll text you. Good luck!” Taehyung called to him as Jimin pouted back in return.
Jimin reluctantly opened the door and let out a sigh of relief when he was still the first one to arrive. It meant he had time to set himself up before the light witch would arrive.
Jimin did not have any problems with light witches, he just didn’t know many. Witches kept within their own community and it wasn’t very common for light and dark witches to mingle. Even the famous light witch families rarely contacted Jimin or Taehyung’s families. It was just more common for everyone to keep to themselves.
Jimin checked his texts and saw that Taehyung apparently was in a triple with two light witches. Jimin did laugh at him, just a little bit. He knew Taehyung would be fine, though, because he always had an easier time making friends.
Jimin was sociable too and loved going out and meeting people, but he often just remained loyal to a few people he knew he could trust. He had Taehyung and their other friend Seokjin. That’s all he really needed.
Taehyung: guys…
Taehyung: im in a triple
Taehyung: with two light witches……
Jin: lololol i dont think thats as bad as me tho
Taehyung: why
Jin: im with a first year
Taehyung: me and jimin were first years last year and u still became our friends
Jin: yeah bc nobody else would talk to u
Taehyung: rude
Taehyung: is he nice at least
Jin: he told me his affinity is clairvoyance and that he saw a future where i gave him the better side of the room
Taehyung: LMFAOOOO
Taehyung: jimin how is it going
Jimin: its just me still
Jimin: just going to listen to music and set up until this guy shows up
Taehyung: good luck everyone
Taehyung: the two light witches are letting me have the single bed while they take the bunk bed hell yeah
Jimin laughed as he set his phone down and put on some music. He knew he didn’t have much time before his roommate showed up so he wanted to get as much done as possible. Jimin let his mind relax as he danced around the room and set everything up. He had gotten about half of the work done when the door started to open.
Jimin stood awkwardly in the center of the room after quickly turning off the music and just stared at the door.
“Hi…” Jimin’s roommate walked in and Jimin would have been able to tell the guy was a light witch even if he hadn’t already known. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he looked as though he was glowing. Jimin couldn’t tell if it was because he was just that beautiful or if all light witches had the aura of the sun.
Jimin hoped it didn’t look like he was staring too much, but it was hard not to.
“Oh! I’m Jimin”
Jimin prayed that he wasn’t blushing. He wasn’t sure how he went from being completely against having a roommate to being so enamored, but he did not think it was a good look for him.
“I’m Hoseok!” The sunshine that he was, said. “I’m your roommate for the year, I think.”
Jimin was not going to survive the year, he knew it immediately. He should have gotten his parents to contact the school like the privileged witch he was because he could not imagine himself getting through the year any longer. He did not think he could do it.
“Oh… Yeah! So.” Jimin cleared his throat, then he choked on his spit, and started coughing.
“Are you okay?” Hoseok rushed over and Jimin almost passed out and that would’ve been even more embarrassing so he did his best to get himself together.
“Fine, I’m fine. I hope you don’t mind that I started setting up.”
“Oh, that’s okay! I don’t mind whichever side.”
The two of them continued to set up together. Hoseok asked if he could play some music and Jimin let him. Hoseok told Jimin to add some of his own music to the queue and the two of them were able to talk about their favorite songs for a little bit. Jimin was starting to feel a bit better about rooming with someone other than Taehyung.
“Was it a surprise for you as well when you got the email about the rooming situation?” Jimin asked after they had both unpacked everything and were sitting on their beds, facing each other.
“Actually I’m a transfer student, so this is my first year.” Hoseok explained. “I did my first two years at my city's local witching college but then finally got accepted here as a transfer! My parents were so excited because I got a scholarship, too. How about you?”
“This is my second year here. My best friend and I have always assumed we would room together so this was really sudden for us…”
Hoseok did look sympathetic and almost as if he felt bad that he took that away from Taehyung and Jimin.
“That must have been upsetting. I’m sure the rooming situation was annoying for someone like you who already has a close friend.”
Jimin suddenly felt awful about how much complaining he had previously done and shuffled around nervously where he was sitting on his bed.
“Oh. It’s not that big of a deal, he’s just down the hall anyway.”
Hoseok smiled at that and Jimin felt even worse about all of the whining he had done. Hoseok wasn’t all that bad. It could have been worse. He could have ended up with Seokjin’s clairvoyant roommate.
“That’s good.” Hoseok said. “You should introduce me sometime! I don’t know anyone here yet.”
“Sure. Taehyung loves making new friends. Jin hyung would like you, too.”
Hoseok beamed at him and Jimin was trying his absolute best not to melt completely on the spot.
“What is your affinity, by the way?” Jimin asked. Witches always had an affinity within their witching community that they did best with. Taehyung and Jimin were both illusionists while Seokjin was necromancy.
“Levitation.” Hoseok replied. “It was kind of funny when I was a kid and couldn’t control it and would just float around everywhere. Or I would cause other things to levitate accidentally.”
Jimin laughed at the mental image of it all. He wasn’t as familiar with light witches and their magic so hearing about levitation was interesting to him.
“Mine is illusionism. Parents found out when I was about 5 and they walked into my bedroom and there were about 50 cat illusions.”
“Cats?” Hoseok cracked up and Jimin laughed with him thinking back to that day.
“I’m allergic to cats! My parents were refusing to get one because of it! So I started imagining cats and apparently they actually all showed up! I also refused to get rid of the illusions so there were just fake cats around for a little while.”
Hoseok fell over on his side laughing so hard and Jimin laughed just as hard with him. Kids discovering their magic was always so ridiculous. Jimin’s parents did not find it funny back then, but it’s something they laugh about now.
“I really don’t know anything about dark witches.” Hoseok admitted. “That’s so funny.”
“I don’t know much about light witches. Maybe the school was actually onto something here.”

Jin: does anyone want to trade roommates
Jin: serious inquiries only
Jin: Does anyone want a dumbass clairvoyant kid??????
Taehyung: no
Jin: well why tf not???
Taehyung: what did he do to you now????

Taehyung: ooooh! after all that whining u did….

Taehyung: a little challenge. nothing i cant handle… ha ha habhahahaha
Taehyung: jimin can i come over and hold ur hand
Jimin: yesss and you can meet hoseok hyung
Taehyung: ooo … “hoseok hyung” okok
Jin: already replacing me w a new hyung. wow.
Jimin: u have a new kid now anyway
Jin: i want to give him away!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimin looked up at Hoseok who was laying down on his bed watching a show on his laptop.
“My friend Taehyung is stopping over if that's okay.”
Hoseok took out an earbud. “Sure! I'm excited to meet him.”
Taehyung was knocking at the door a second later and Jimin rolled himself out of bed with a groan and nearly fell to the floor.
“Where is your Hoseok hyung.” Taehyung said the moment he walked in. Jimin was going to kill him.
Hoseok sat up from his bed and waved to Taehyung.
“Nice to meet you! I’m Hoseok. You can call me hyung too if you want.”
“Cool.” Taehyung said before throwing himself on Jimin’s bed and then screaming into Jimin’s pillow.
Jimin and Hoseok just stared at him.
“You alright?” Jimin asked as he sat next to Taehyung.
“Yeah. I just want to be besties with my roommates but they aren’t talking to me!”
“Some people are shy, Taehyung.”
Taehyung just continued whining into Jimin’s pillow.
Hoseok looked over at Jimin and raised an eyebrow.
“You can trade with Jin hyung.” Jimin joked and Taehyung just screamed again.
Taehyung then looked up from Jimin’s pillow and over at Hoseok.
“Well. Let’s be friends, Hoseok hyung.”
Hoseok gave him a thumbs up and a huge smile.
“You got it. I’m sure you’ll be able to get your roommates to open up soon, though. But you’re welcome to be in here as often as you want.”
“Oh.” Jimin said. “Now he’s never going to leave.”
Taehyung just did finger guns at Jimin in response.
The three of them hung out for the rest of the night while Jimin and Taehyung shared some of their favorite stories about each other and told Hoseok about what their first year at the university was like. Jimin didn’t want Hoseok to feel left out of the conversation, but he noticed that he just seemed as into it as Jimin and Taehyung were.
“Can I sleep over?” Taehyng asked when it started getting late.
Jimin gave him a small nudge. “No. Go bond with your roommates.”
Taehyung sighed dramatically and kept glancing back at Jimin as he walked out of the room until he was finally gone.
“You guys have a super cute friendship.” Hoseok said when it was just the two of them again.
“A lot of people think we are dating.” Jimin laughed. “Taehyung has literally been my best friend since we were born, though. Nobody gets me like he does.”
Hoseok hummed. “I can tell you have that type of friendship. I have always had people I can call friends, but never someone that I’ve been close to like that before.”
“Really?”
Hoseok nodded, slumping back against his pillow. “I know I’m easy to get along with, but nobody has ever wanted me as their best friend. I was kind of hoping I’d come here and be able to find a friendship like that.”
“Well now that light and dark witches are all together, hopefully it's easy for you to find it. If anything, I will always be your friend.”
Hoseok beamed at him. “I hope so! I really like you so far. I feel like we’ve gotten along so well and it’s still only the first day.”
“We can go together for breakfast tomorrow. Me, Taehyung, and Seokjin hyung always meet up for breakfast. I think you and Seokjin hyung will get along too.”
“You don’t have to invite me to places out of pity, by the way.” Hoseok said quickly, suddenly worried.
Jimin just shook his head. “I really like you, too. I think you’ll fit in well with our group.”
“Okay.” Hoseok said.
The two of them got ready for bed after that. Jimin felt like maybe the year wasn’t going to be as bad as he thought it was going to be originally. He thought he could see himself and Hoseok becoming really good friends.
Jimin opened up his phone before going to sleep and decided to let Seokjin and Taehyung know that he had invited Hoseok to breakfast. He wasn’t shocked to see that they had been texting a lot anyway.
Taehyung: ive been replaced
Taehyung: jimin has a new husband
Jin: damn ://
Taehyung: u do not care at all
Jin: no bc ive spent the entire day suffering
Taehyung: jimin kicked me out of his room. can u believe that
Jin: spend time with your roommates

Jimin: hey guys i invited hoseok hyung to breakfast

Jin: should sell this story to the news outlets. divorce goes crazy
Taehyung: :/
Taehyung: goodnight.
Jimin laughed to himself as he put his phone down and turned over to look at Hoseok who was also on his phone.
“Goodnight, hyung! I’ll see you in the morning.”
Hoseok looked up over his phone at Jimin.
“Goodnight, Jimin-ah!”
****
“I’m going to be honest.” Hoseok was saying as they got ready to leave and meet up with Taehyung and Seokjin. “I’m going to get so lost walking around this campus.”
“It seriously is so confusing at first. I can be your guide! Though unfortunately I don’t know how much help I’ll be at finding your classes. The light witches and dark witches all have classes in separate buildings.”
“As long as I can find some things, I’m sure I’ll manage.”
They left the room together and Taehyung was already waiting for them outside the door.
“I’m excited to see Jin hyung again.” Taehyung said as they started walking down the hallway of their building.
“You didn’t see each other over the summer?” Hoseok asked.
“We did, but not as often as we do here. Jimin and I see each other constantly, but it’s harder to see him since Jimin and I are usually really busy with family things.”
“Oh…” Hoseok seemed like he wanted to ask more about that but decided against it.
Jimin had noticed that Hoseok hadn’t brought up he or Taehyung’s families and Jimin hadn’t even been sure if Hoseok knew about it. Most people did, and most people judged Jimin and Taehyung for it immediately. Hoseok hadn’t.
“Well. I think you’ll like him.” Taehyung said. “He’s cool. Kind of annoying, but mostly cool.”
“Jimin thought I’d really get along with him.” Hoseok replied.
“I’m sure. You seem like someone who everyone immediately likes. You have super positive energy.”
“Thanks!”
Jimin smiled to himself at Taehyung and Hoseok’s conversation. He was glad that the two of them were getting along. When they were younger, Taehyung used to get jealous when Jimin would make new friends. They’d grown a lot since then.
Seokjin was already sitting inside when they arrived for breakfast. There was someone else sitting across from him as well and Seokjin looked like he was seconds away from getting into an argument.
“I wonder if that’s the clairvoyant kid.” Taehyung whispered to Jimin as they walked over.
“Hey!” Jimin called out as they sat down and Seokjin waved.
“This is Hoseok.”
Hoseok said hello to Jin and the other guy at the table.
“This is Jungkook, my annoying roommate.” Seokjin said, pointing at the guy sitting across from him.
Jungkook grinned. “I foresee you guys treating me to breakfast.”
Seokjin groaned and just gave Jimin an incredulous look. “Do you see this shit? Do you see what my past 24 hours have looked like?”
Jungkook just cackled as if it were hilarious to him, but Jimin also noticed that Seokjin hadn’t said no to treating him to breakfast. Maybe he had gotten a soft spot for him after all.
“It’s his last year here, so it’s kind of funny that he got roomed with a first year.” Jimin said to Hoseok with a bit of teasing humor in his voice since both Seokjin and Jungkook could hear him.
“Yeah. I didn’t sign up to be a babysitter.” Seokjin agreed as he put some of his food on Jungkook’s plate. “Eat more.”
“Oh, it’s your first year too?” Hoseok turned to Jungkook who was eagerly eating the food Seokjin had given him.
“Yep! I can tell you’re also a light witch! I foresee us having some classes together.”
Hoseok laughed, clearly entertained by Jungkook’s weird friend making tactics. “Probably! I’m a transfer, though, so I’m going to be taking mostly classes for a third year.”
“You might have some classes with one of my roommates, then.” Taehyung said as he stole some food off of Jimin’s plate. “He’s also a light witch third year.”
“Thought you didn’t get to know them well yet.” Jimin said, stealing food then off of Taehyung’s plate.
(They always shared food, but it was more fun to pretend as though they were stealing from each other).
Taehyung kicked Jimin playfully from under the table. “Obviously we did some sort of introductions.”
“Well, Hoseok hyung-” Jungkook started to say as Seokjin interrupted him.
“He did not say you could call him hyung.”
“Well, Hoseok hyung.” Jungkook continued to say anyway, sticking out a tongue at Seokjin. “We can explore the campus together if you want. I can use my power to try and find our way around.”
“That is not how clairvoyancy works. Are you actually clairvoyant?” Seokjin whined.
“Sure!” Hoseok agreed to Jungkook. “Jimin was going to give me a tour later and then we can go to the light witch part of campus and meet there if you want.”
Jungkook beamed at Hoseok. “Super cool.”
The rest of breakfast went by quickly and the group ended up separating. Jungkook had to go to first year orientation and was forcing (he did not have to try very hard) Seokjin to go with him. Jimin decided it would be a good time to give Hoseok a tour of the campus since it was still the second day of move-in and none of the classes had started up yet.
“I know it seems like a gigantic campus.” Jimin started to say as they walked towards the main buildings. “You honestly get used to it quickly. The nice thing about it is that even though the campus is pretty large, you get to know pretty much everyone that goes here quickly. I see the same people around everyday. It also helps since you are in classes with just your witching community.”
The campus was split between the light witch part of campus and the dark witch part of campus. The dorm buildings were closer to the edge of campus and that was the only main part that was shared between light and dark witches. It was also around a lot of restaurants and small coffee shops that students could go to. In the center of campus was a courtyard where students could practice their magic or just hang out on. The library was also next to the courtyard.
Jimin decided to start there since it was closest to the dorms and a spot that both light and dark witches hung out.
Jimin hoped that Hoseok wouldn’t notice the way that a lot of the other students seemed to avoid or dislike him.
“Taehyung and I like to hang out in the courtyard between classes and have lunch sometimes.” Jimin was saying as they walked through.
The weather was still warm so students were already hanging out and meeting up with friends they hadn’t seen over the break.
“The small school I had been going to definitely didn’t have all of this.” Hoseok told Jimin as he walked them down the middle of the courtyard. “It was so much smaller and there were only two buildings for classes. One for light witches and one for dark witches. We had a library as well but it was maybe half the size of this one…”
Jimin imagined that it must be very overwhelming for Hoseok. Their current school had a ton of funding since it was the most prestigious in the country and all of the wealthy families wanted their kids to attend. There were dozens of other small witching schools across the country, but the one Jimin attended was the only one that had dorming.
“The library is nice.” Jimin said as they walked inside.
The bottom floor of the library had a small cafe inside and seating for students. The first and the second floor were the only floors that weren’t a quiet area only. It was a good spot if you liked to study with background noise but didn’t want to leave campus and still wanted access to all of the books.
“The second floor for magic practice. You can sign up to work with a tutor that can help you work on your casting or spells. You can also just reserve a spot to practice with a friend as well. Taehyung and I do that a lot.”
Hoseok nodded along as Jimin talked, listening carefully.
“The third floor is a light witch dedicated study area that only has books catered towards light witches and your type of magic.” Jimin told him. “The fourth floor is the same for dark witches. Do you want a coffee?”
The two of them got in line at the first floor cafe.
“The fifth floor is a study spot for everyone and has books that are useful for both witching communities. It also has great history books about the magical community as a whole. You can’t bring food or drink to any of the other floors, by the way.”
Jimin placed an order for them and once they got their drinks they sat at a table nearby.
“Taehyung and I don’t come to study together often unless we go to the practice floor because all we do is distract each other. I’d love to try studying with you, though.”
Jimin thought it would be fun to study with a light witch. Honestly, he had been against the merging of the communities at first, but he was starting to think that it would be extremely interesting to learn about light witch magic and how it is different to dark witch magic.
“Sure!” Hoseok agreed, taking a sip of his iced coffee. “I’d like that a lot.”
They left the library and Jimin decided to show him where the dark witch class buildings were, anyway, even if they didn’t exactly pertain to Hoseok and his magic.
“If you ever want to meet me in between classes, I’m usually here.” Jimin told him, gesturing to the two buildings ahead of them.
There were not a lot of people around since classes hadn’t begun yet and Jimin thought that the buildings were probably still locked anyway. There were some practice areas between the buildings specifically just for dark witches along with some benches for students to hang out on if they had some downtime.
“So are all of your friends dark witches then?” Hoseok asked as Jimin walked them back towards the courtyard.
They were going to hang out on the grass together and finish up their coffees.
“Oh.” Jimin said, not sure how to explain to Hoseok that nobody else really liked him.
“You already met all of my friends.”
Jimin looked down and gripped the edge of his coffee harder. He didn’t want Hoseok to think he was a loser. It wasn’t exactly his fault that people didn’t want to hang out with him.
“Well, I think you have amazing friends then!” Hoseok said instead with a huge smile, not even mentioning the fact that Jimin seemed upset about it.
Jimin wished he could always have that eager type of attitude towards life that Hoseok seemed to have. He wondered if it were a light witch trait to be so excitable and optimistic all of the time. Jimin thought that Hoseok being a constant in his life would make him a more positive person.
“I honestly wish I did have more friends, though.” Jimin admitted, since he thought that Hoseok would end up being understanding about it.
“People here don’t really like Taehyung and I or are just afraid to approach us. I don’t really think I’m all that of a scary person, but nobody except for Jin hyung has taken the time to get to know us.”
“I understand what you mean.” Hoseok said, his voice soft and comforting. “It’s like what I was saying earlier about never being able to find a best friend, I think.”
Jimin nodded, but there was so much more to it. He wasn’t entirely sure if Hoseok was aware of who he was and Jimin wasn’t sure how to bring it up without seeming extremely pretentious. He didn’t want Hoseok to become someone who didn’t want to give Jimin a chance either, to be someone who only saw Jimin as a person who didn’t work hard enough for the things he got.
“I guess I’m very thankful for the friends that I do have.” Jimin finally said and Hoseok grinned at him.
“And now you have me!” Hoseok replied.
It was true. And now, Jimin had Hoseok.
****
Hoseok was really nervous once time came for classes to start. They'd spent more time around Jungkook since it was obvious to Jimin that Hoseok was finding comfort in having another light witch nearby that was also new to the school. Jungkook had even invited him to tour the area with classes together. They’d compared schedules and didn't share any (despite Jungkook having foreseen it), but they still had each other to lean on.
Although Jimin wasn’t entirely sure what he thought of Jungkook, he was glad that Hoseok found another light witch friend.
Jimin had started to feel protective over his friendship with Hoseok and agonized over whether or not it was good for Hoseok if they hung out often. Jimin was worried that the other students would treat Hoseok the same way they already treated Taehyung and Jimin just by his association with them. He’d seen it happen with Seokjin who claimed not to care, but Jimin still didn't feel great about being the reason people didn’t want to talk to someone else.
So on the first day of classes, Hoseok woke up way too early and when Jimin woke up, the first thing he saw was a fully dressed and ready Hoseok at 6 in the morning just sitting on his bed and staring at a wall. He had set out his clothes the night before, neatly lining them up as if they were on an invisible mannequin.
“Good morning…” Jimin groaned groggily as Hoseok looked down at him. “What time did you wake up….?”
“I don't know if I even slept.” Hoseok admitted, sighing. “I just got up at 5 am and decided to get ready because I was so nervous.
Jimin groaned into his bed sheets, pulling them up over his face.
“You’re going to do amazing today, you know that?”
Despite his nerves, Hoseok beamed down at Jimin. There wasn’t a hint of tiredness on his face which once again, Jimin wondered if it had anything to do with him being a light witch- or maybe it really was just a Hoseok thing.
“Can I text you updates throughout the day? I feel like talking to you would help it go by faster.” Hoseok said.
Jimin tried to ignore the strange sensation he got in his stomach, the excitement, the butterflies, the thought that Hoseok wanted to talk more with him.
“Of course. I think we should make a group chat with you and Jungkook in it soon anyway.”
Hoseok giggled before covering up his mouth, clearly delighted.
“You don’t have to.” Hoseok replied causing Jimin to roll his eyes and throw his pillow at him.
“You just giggled over the idea of being in a group chat with us. Of course we have to.”
Hoseok’s face was tinted red and Jimin once again ignored the butterflies that erupted within him.
“Okay well I’m going to get ready. Are you all set in the bathroom?”
Hoseok nodded and let Jimin go get ready.
“Jungkook is going to come by to walk with me to classes.” Hoseok called to Jimin who was in the shower.
Jimin had heard from Seokjin’s complaining the previous night that Jungkook ‘saw a future’ where the group of them walked to class together.
“Sounds good!” Jimin called back.
Over the past few days, Hoseok and Jimin had made a weird habit of continuing to talk even while the other was still in the shower. Jimin never once got tired of talking to him and he didn’t think Hoseok got tired of it either. They talked constantly. Sometimes it was just one of them while the other listened, sometimes they were both talking and nothing correlated, but most of the time they were engrossed in conversation, never getting tired of learning about the other.
Jimin wanted to start opening up to Hoseok about his family. He wanted to start expressing his worries about their expectations about his relationship with Taehyung. He wanted to talk about the fears he had surrounding his friendships and relationships within the school.
Once Jimin was ready, he sat down next to Hoseok on his bed to give him some sort of comfort while they waited for the others to show up. Hoseok and Jimin were both big fans of physical touch and he could tell they were almost at the cuddling point despite only knowing each other for a few days.
Jimin was not sure his heart could handle that.
He was almost thankful when he heard arguing outside his door (mostly Seokjin complaining and Jungkook laughing).
They heard a knock and then more complaining. Jimin and Hoseok made eye contact and Jimin just snorted as he went to open the door.
“I wanted to knock first but Seokjin hyung was arguing with me because he wanted to knock first.” Jungkook immediately started to say as Jimin opened the door.
“I'm older and therefore should be the one knocking, you child.” Seokjin retorted back.
Taehyung stood between the two of them looking like he was about to lose his mind.
“So who ended up knocking?” Hoseok asked, coming up from behind Jimin.
“Taehyung.” Jungkook and Seokjin both despaired.
Taehyung just shrugged, looking real proud of himself and then threw himself into Jimin’s arms.
“I missed you. Every second we are apart pains me.”
Jimin kissed his cheek.
“Trouble with your roommates still?”
Taehyung sighed. “I'm so close to cracking them.”
The five of them left together and started walking towards their classes before Jungkook and Hoseok would have to split from the group.
Taehyung and Jimin held hands along the way, swinging their arms together dramatically.
When they said goodbye to the light witches, Jimin gave Hoseok a hug and told him that he would do amazing and to send him updates. Jimin had added Jungkook and Hoseok to the group chat, but he hoped Hoseok would text him about it privately.
“So, you and Hoseok hyung.” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows at Jimin as the three dark witches walked together to their building.
“It’s nothing.” Jimin said, knowing Taehyung would see right through him.
“Sure.” Seokjin said, as him and Taehyung shared not so subtle looks.
“You are not one to talk.” Jimin said back. “You let Jungkook get away with all of his bullshit”
“What?” Seokjin gasped dramatically. “Do you not see the way he bullies me?”
The three of them continued to bicker as they got to their classes, Taehyung and Jimin having an identical schedule and Seokjin going towards his final year classes (“Like the old man he is.” Taehyung had said before getting a light smack from Seokjin).
Jimin kept checking his phone as his class went on, waiting to see if Hoseok would text him. Taehyung noticed every single time.
“I know you're not that interested in the time.” Taehyung said at one point, causing Jimin to glare.
It wasn’t until the first class ended that Jimin received a message from Hoseok.
Hoseok: I SURVIVED MY FIRST CLASS
Jimin: i knew you could do it!
Hoseok: i think i made a friend
Hoseok: his name is Namjoon
Hoseok: we have a super similar schedule
Jimin: huh that name sounds familiar. maybe i've met him?
Hoseok: we sat next to each other and chatted a bit. He's dating another light witch who is in his final year
Jimin: i'm glad ur class went well and that ur making friends that aren't jungkook!!
Hoseok: i like jungkook. he's sweet. just needy
Jimin: jin secretly likes him
Hoseok: i noticed hehe
Hoseok: me and namjoon are walking to our next class! i'll text u after
Jimin: okay good luck!!
The day continued on like that with Hoseok and Jimin texting between their classes. Each time, Jimin felt a jolt of excitement when he saw a new text come through. Taehyung was quick to notice it as well and teased Jimin about having a crush on his roommate. Jimin and Taehyung bickered about it throughout the day, lost in their own world, like they always were.
Jimin still noticed the stares. He still noticed the way people watched him and Taehyung or gossiped about them as they held hands or played around with each other.
Jimin knew how it looked, and maybe he'd act like that too in their situation. He still hated it, anyway. He hated the way he overthought how he and Taehyung interacted. They were best friends and that was it. They were just two best friends that were extremely comfortable in their friendship. Hoseok understood it, and so did Seokjin and Jungkook. To Jimin, that’s all that should have mattered, but he still worried anyway.
It didn't help that his parents had been calling him and leaving voicemails asking about him and Taehyung and how they were doing and how their relationship was. Jimin just wished they would leave him alone. He wished people would stop overthinking his and Taehyung’s relationship. He wished he could develop feelings for Hoseok like a normal person without worrying about what everyone had to say.
Hoseok: is it okay if i invite my new friend and his boyfriend to our dinner tonight
Jimin: yea!!!!
Jungkook: my tricks are not making me friends. i keep telling ppl i see us being friends in the future and they don't continue talking to me
Seokjin: sounds like ur a fraud
Jungkook: sounds like ur a hater
Seokjin: obviously ?????
Taehyung: omg new friends yayayayay
Hoseok: 😊
Taehyung and Jimin met up with Seokjin again as the classes came to a close and they all headed out to meet everyone else for dinner. Jimin was excited to hear about the rest of Hoseok’s day and to meet the friends he had made in his classes.
They were the first ones there and got a table for everyone.
“Do you want to sit across from Hoseok or next to him so you can sneakily hold hands under the table?” Taehyung asked, teasing Jimin.
“Well if they sit across from each other they can play footsie.” Seokjin added which Jimin felt was extremely unnecessary.
“I literally saw you and Jungkook doing that at breakfast the other day.” Jimin replied back, nudging Seokjin as they got into their seats.
Taehyung sat across from Jimin and Seokjin sat next to Taehyung.
“We were not playing footsie. We were kicking each other. Lightly. And Playfully.” Seokjin argued back.
Taehyung was about to add something surely important but Jimin tuned him out as he saw the other four walking in.
Jimin hadn't met the other two light witches with him so he wasn’t sure where he’d heard their names before.
“Oh my fucking God.” Taehyung muttered under his breath, kicking Jimin under the table.
Jimin kicked him back. “What?”
“Those are my two roommates, I can’t believe this.”
Seokjin burst out laughing and smacked Taehyung’s arm.
“You haven't befriended them within a week but Hoseok does it in a day?”
“This is war.” Taehyung said back, his face serious.
“Hey!” Hoseok said as he came up to the table and slid in next to Jimin, immediately pulling him in for a hug.
“Hi!”
Hoseok introduced Namjoon and Yoongi to them who Taehyung was glaring daggers at. (Definitely an amazing way to make friends).
“They’re my roommates.” Taehyung announced once everyone sat down, pointing accusing fingers at the new additions to their group. “I didn't even know they were dating.”
“They’re your roommates?” Hoseok looked shocked.
“Oh my God, they were roommates.” Jungkook added, but nobody responded.
“This is sickening.” Taehyung continued whining. “I've been trying to talk to you guys for ages.”
“You have?” Yoongi looked genuinely confused.
Jimin began to wonder exactly how Taehyung had been trying to get to know them. They both looked so confused at the idea of Taehyung trying to befriend them through the week.
“We thought you didn’t like us because you kept telling us you miss your friend Jimin.” Namjoon said.
Jimin tried his best to hold back a laugh, but it came out as him kind of choking.
“I’m Jimin, by the way.”
It turned out that Yoongi was in the same year as Seokjin. Jimin teased him by saying that maybe Seokjin wouldn’t be the oldest anymore, until they found out that Yoongi was a few months younger. (Devastating news for Seokjin, he would never be able to beat the old man allegations).
It also turned out that Taehyung’s way of trying to make friends was to talk about Jimin a lot, which was definitely flattering, but not very effective. Namjoon and Yoongi both said that they did want to spend some time getting to know Taehyung and that seemed to make him delighted.
“I think things are working out well.” Hoseok leaned over and whispered in Jimin’s ear halfway through the dinner.
Jungkook was doing some ‘fortune telling’ for Namjoon (that Jimin was entirely sure was him just making up random things), but Namjoon seemed completely into it.
Seokjin was heckling Jungkook the entire time while Taehyung and Yoongi were deep in conversation about the separation between light and dark witches and what it meant for their society and how the university bringing them together was a step in the right direction. (It was mostly Yoongi ranting while Taehyung listened with stars in his eyes).
Jimin looked at Hoseok and the two of them smiled at each other, in their own little quiet world. Jimin thought that maybe this was the first time the two of them felt what having a real group of friends was like. To Jimin, he had always had his best friend, but never a group that he could hang out with like he was. To Hoseok, he always had a group, but always felt like an outsider. He finally had someone like Jimin to fall back on. They both were looking for different things in friendship and were starting to find it within their new group in that first week of meeting.
Once they had paid (it had been a warzone of the witches all yelling at each other and tossing their cards down and trying to pay for the entire group), Hoseok asked Jimin if he wanted to walk around with him before going back to their dorm.
The rest of the group decided to split off after that, each going to their respective dorms. Jungkook had said that he foresaw Seokjin giving him a piggyback ride home and Seokjin, after a lot of bickering, somehow ended up with Jungkook on his back. Taehyung, Yoongi, and Namjoon were deep in conversation still, not exactly noticing that it was just the three of them walking back alone after dinner.
“Back at my old school, I usually ended my nights like this with everyone going off in their own groups.” Hoseok told Jimin as the two of them decided to walk around the downtown area outside of their campus. “Except, everyone would walk off into their smaller groups and I’d end up walking home alone.”
They walked along the sidewalk together. It wasn’t too late so there were still a lot of people walking around. There were probably campus parties all around celebrating the start of classes. Jimin wondered if light and dark witches were starting to get to know each other better, if Yoongi was right about this finally being the start of something good.
“Taehyung and I never had anyone else to hang out with.” Jimin told Hoseok as they found a bench to sit on.
There was a slight chill to the air as the summer was reaching its end and autumn was beginning. The days had been warm, but sitting on a bench together as the sun went down made each of them feel just a little bit chillier. They sat close so they were pressed together for the small amount of warmth they needed. Though, neither of them could be certain if they were pressed so close together for warmth or something else.
“We only had Seokjin hyung and we just met him last year. He was the only person who ever treated us like we were people.”
Jimin had his hands folded together in his lap, but he wondered what it might be like to hold Hoseok’s.
“Is it because of your family? I’m sorry for asking, it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it.”
Jimin smiled down at his lap where his hands were. He did appreciate Hoseok for taking so long before asking about it. He could feel Hoseok’s eyes watching him carefully. He thought that if he looked back up at Hoseok, he’d be glowing beautifully in the moonlight.
“Yeah.” Jimin said after a moment. “A lot of people don’t want to talk to either of us because they think we’re already a package deal or they’re scared of our parents. That or they think we’ll be stuck up and rude.”
Hoseok leaned up closer against Jimin and Jimin noticed how Hoseok’s hand was resting on top of his thigh, gently touching Jimin’s, as if it almost wasn’t there.
Jimin wondered if Hoseok also wanted to hold his hand.
“I knew who you were the moment I saw you, but I honestly just wanted to get to know you for who you are rather than what I’ve read about you. Everyone is missing out on not wanting to get to know you.”
Jimin finally did look up and he was right about Hoseok glowing in the moonlight. Or, maybe, he was shining even brighter than the moon. Maybe he was that light in the dark that Jimin had needed.
Hoseok smiled at him and Jimin wondered what it would feel like to kiss him. Jimin smiled back at him instead and finally reached over to hold Hoseok’s hand. He felt warmer than he had the entire night.
“Everyone wants Taehyung and I to finish school and get married.” Jimin said, gripping onto Hoseok’s hand. “Taehyung is the love of my life, but not in the way everyone wants him to be.”
Hoseok listened as Jimin talked, squeezing his hand. Warmth continued to flood through Jimin who once again wondered if it was a light witch thing to have that impact on someone, or if it was just a Hoseok thing. With every single time he thought that, he was starting to believe it really was just a Hoseok thing.
Students continued to walk by them in their own world, laughing loudly with their friends in groups. Couples passed by, holding hands just like he and Hoseok were. None of them paid attention to Jimin or Hoseok. For the first time, Jimin didn’t worry about people staring at him or what they thought of him. Jimin let himself get lost in Hoseok, none of those other people mattered to him.
“I just want to be my own witch. I want to build my own legacy and life rather than carry on my family’s. Taehyung wants that for himself as well. We’re going to do that together, but as best friends.”
“I think you’re already doing that here.” Hoseok said. “Just after a week with you, I can tell how amazing you are and what kind of witch you’re going to become.”
Maybe having someone like Hoseok to believe in him was all that Jimin needed. Maybe it was time to let himself fall in love with someone without worrying about what his family or anyone else might think. Maybe it really was time to create his own life and path for himself. Maybe he wanted to do that with Hoseok.
“You’re right.” Jimin replied. “I just need to believe in myself some more.”
“I can see you already starting to do that, Jimin-ah.”
Hoseok and Jimin sat together for a little while longer in silence as they held each other’s hand. It was comfortable. There was nothing else to say and they just wanted to be in each other’s company with that closeness for a little while longer. Jimin rested his head against Hoseok’s shoulder and let himself relax in the feeling of Hoseok’s chest rising and falling with each breath. It was just the two of them. The differences and separation between light and dark witches meant nothing to either of them then. Jimin wanted to be there like that with Hoseok forever.
“We have to get back.” Hoseok eventually said.
Jimin knew he was right. They had classes in the morning and needed to get some sleep, but he didn’t want to let go of Hoseok and the comfort he was bringing him.
“Don’t wanna.” Jimin said into Hoseok’s shoulder.
He loved that he could feel the way Hoseok laughed from how he was cuddled into him.
“We share a room.” Hoseok said, and Jimin sat up (unwillingly) to squint at him. “We can just cuddle in bed together tonight. You know, if you want. We don’t have to. Just that, you felt really cozy just now… Also it’s getting kind of chilly at night and the school isn’t going to put the heat on yet. You’re really warm. I also like how you feel when you’re cuddled into me. I mean-”
“Okay. I want that.” Jimin cut off Hoseok’s nervous tangent.
“Okay.”
They walked back to their room together hand in hand. All Jimin could think about was what it would feel like to be cuddled up to Hoseok all night.
When they got back to their dorm, Hoseok started setting up his outfit for the next day and Jimin decided to join him, thinking it was kind of fun to have ready what he would wear. He also liked that he was doing it with Hoseok.
That night, they fell asleep snuggled together, warm in each other’s arms. Jimin didn’t really want to think about what it meant yet. He just wanted to stay there together with Hoseok.
****
“What do you mean you cuddled each other all night platonically?” Taehyung whispered just a little too loudly from where they were hanging out on the dark witch part of campus.
It was a few days after and Jimin could not hold it in anymore. He wasn’t sure how exactly to bring it up to Taehyung because he knew Taehyung would overreact maybe just a little bit, but he also needed advice.
“Well. That was the night after the first day of classes. And,” Jimin sighed, not looking at Taehyung “we’ve been sleeping together every night since.”
“Sleeping together?”
Jimin slapped a hand over Taehyung’s mouth.
“As in cuddling. All night. Every night.”
Jimin slowly let his hand leave its spot on Taehyung’s mouth.
“You’re sleeping together?”
Jimin was going to murder Taehyung.
“Someone is going to overhear you and tell my parents I’m cheating on you.” Jimin warned as Taehyung just shrugged.
“Aren’t you? I Thought we were supposed to be getting married, Jimin-ah. You’re my fiance.”
Jimin pushed Taehyung slightly. “I don’t like you at all.”
Taehyung grinned. “But, it sounds to me that you like Hoseok hyung. And to be honest, if he’s cuddling you every single night, I’m pretty sure he likes you too.”
“I don’t know.” Jimin sighed. “I’m the first, like, best friend he’s ever had. Maybe he wants to be close to me like you’re close to me.”
“Well we are supposed to be getting married, so he’s on the right track.”
“Stop using our arranged marriage against me.”
Taehyung laughed, causing Jimin to laugh with him. Their situation really was so ridiculous, and Jimin was glad he and Taehyung had each other through it all. They’d been together through all of their crushes growing up, through the stress of finding themselves, and through the craziness that was their families.
“You know I’m going to tell you to just talk to him, right?”
Jimin knew that was the answer. “Yeah, I know. Do you really think I have a chance, though?”
“If he’s not in love with you after feeling what you’re like when you cuddle, then there’s something wrong with him.”
“You and I have cuddled many times before. Are you in love with me?” Jimin teased, wiggling his eyebrows.
“I had a mental breakdown wondering if I was, once when I was, like, twelve. That’s how good your cuddles are.”
Jimin burst out laughing. “Seriously?”
Taehyung leaned into his side, cracking up. “Yes! I was convinced for an entire day that I might actually be in love with you! Then I thought about kissing you and all of that went away.”
“It would be a fucking priviledge to kiss me.” Jimin said back as he and Taehyung continued to giggle together before getting ready for their next class.
“You should ask Hoseok hyung about that when you finally get the courage.”
Jimin was going to kill Kim Taehyung, but he got out of the conversation somehow feeling better with the idea of talking to Hoseok about his feelings. He decided that once his classes for the day were over and he and Hoseok met back up, he was going to talk to him. He told Taehyung as much and of course, Taehyung encouraged him and hyped him up even more for it.
Jimin found himself back in his dorm after his last class. He was laying in bed studying for his spell casting class. Hoseok was still out and Jimin had nerves bubbling within him all day, worried about saying the wrong thing when it came down to talking to Hoseok finally. He was still agonizing over it when he received a call from his mother that he begrudgingly picked up.
“Hello?”
“Jimin-ah.” His mother said and Jimin could hear that there was something wrong in her voice.
He closed his textbook and sat up in his bed, preparing himself for whatever lecture he was about to receive.
“What’s going on?”
His mother just sighed dramatically, always one for that.
“I’ve got some word from people at your school that they saw you getting nice and cozy with another witch around campus when Taehyung-ah wasn’t around. Not only that… A light witch.”
Jimin curled into himself, not liking where the conversation was headed. He should have known that someone would see and get it back to his parents. He should have known.
“We’re friends.” Jimin said, but he knew his defense was weak. He knew his mother would see right through him.
“And Taehyung? How do you expect him to feel about seeing his fiance like that with another man? Really, Jimin-ah.”
It was no use telling her that he and Taehyung didn’t feel anything romantic towards each other. They had tried that with their families so many times. It didn’t stop him from wanting to try again, though.
“I like him. Hoseok hyung. I like him a lot, mom. Taehyung wants me to tell him how I feel. Taehyung and I don’t want to marry each other.”
The door to the room opened at the last part of Jimin’s sentence. Jimin hoped that Hoseok hadn’t heard the first part, since that wasn’t how Jimin wanted him to find out how he felt.
Hoseok stood awkwardly in the doorway, realizing that Jimin was having a serious conversation.
“Do you want me to leave?” Hoseok mouthed to Jimin who shook his head and made space for Hoseok to sit next to him on his bed.
He could really use the comfort.
Hoseok came over tentatively and crawled up on Jimin’s bed next to him as Jimin’s mother continued to rant in his ear.
“You and Taehyung are so close, though, and he comes from such a good family.” She was saying. Jimin ignored the first part. “Even if you’re just friends right now, things can still change. I should have known this would happen when the school did this ridiculous new program…”
“I like the new program.” Jimin said. “I like my roommate and the friends I’m making.”
“When you graduate you’re going to be focusing on being a dark witch. Light witches and us don’t work together because our magic doesn’t match up.”
“I don’t think that’s true.” Jimin said, feeling brave with Hoseok next to him. “This school year is the first time I’ve felt like I’ve belonged here. I’ve made super strong friendships with light witches and I think learning about them has been helping me improve my magic as well.”
Hoseok wrapped an arm around Jimin, holding him close.
“Don’t be ridiculous.”
“And Hoseok hyung… The person I was with. He’s really special to me and I don’t appreciate how you were talking about him. He doesn’t affect my friendship with Taehyung-ah at all. I wish you and his family would stop trying to force us to be together because that’s what is going to hurt us more than anything else. I think you’d really like Hoseok hyung if you met him.”
Jimin could hear his mother start to say something else, but there was only so much he could handle at that moment and he just needed to stop talking to her.
“I’m sorry, mom, but I have to hang up now. Let’s talk later.”
He hung up the phone and sat there silently. Hoseok reached over and wiped tears from Jimin’s face, tears he hadn’t even realized were there. He must have been so frustrated that he couldn’t help crying.
“I’m sorry.” Jimin said as Hoseok pulled him in for a hug. “I’m sorry.”
Jimin wrapped his arms around Hoseok and held him as tightly as he could. He buried his face in Hoseok’s chest, not even worried about how wet he was getting his shirt. He just needed to be as close to him as he could.
“You’re so strong, Jimin-ah.” Hoseok said, squeezing him. “I’m so proud of you.”
Jimin sobbed. He had just needed to hear that from someone. He needed someone to tell him that he was doing a good job. That he was doing something right.
“I’m just so tired of my parents wanting me to be someone I’m not. I’m tired of them trying to force Taehyung-ah and I together. It’s going to tear us apart.”
“I know.” Hoseok said, letting Jimin cry it out. “I know.”
They held each other like that for a while as Hoseok rubbed Jimin’s back while he cried. Jimin was used to dealing with these problems alone. He and Taehyung always understood what each other were going through, but were never good at comforting each other about it. Neither of them knew what to say because they didn’t even know how to make themselves feel okay.
When Jimin finally broke apart from Hoseok, he knew his face must’ve been red and blotchy. He knew his hair must’ve been an absolute mess. He knew he must have looked like a disaster but he didn’t care at all. He didn’t care because he knew none of it mattered to Hoseok.
He smiled and Hoseok smiled back before he placed a hand on Jimin’s face.
“You’re beautiful, Jimin-ah.”
Jimin laughed, because he couldn’t help it. Of course Hoseok would think he’s beautiful when he was at his absolute worst.
But Jimin also thought that Hoseok looked his most beautiful at that moment, too.
“I think I’m in love with you.”
He hadn’t even realized the words left his mouth until Hoseok’s hand tensed up on Jimin’s face and his eyes widened.
Jimin froze. He and Hoseok were so close and they just stared at each other. Jimin didn’t know what to say, how to save the moment.
“What?” Hoseok asked.
“I’m falling in love with you.”
There was no point in denying it. He felt so strongly at that moment, he felt so strongly for Hoseok. There was no going back even though it was not how he had envisioned having that conversation with him.
Hoseok brushed a strand of hair out of Jimin’s face and then kissed his forehead.
“I’m falling in love with you, too. Thought it was silly that it was happening so fast, but every moment I’m with you I just find myself falling deeper.”
Jimin let Hoseok’s words sink in. He felt the same way. He wanted Jimin. He wanted to be with Jimin.
Jimin threw himself around Hoseok again, overwhelmed with emotion. He had been so upset not too long before and was now the happiest he had been in a long time.
They stayed like that for the rest of the night, curled up together in Jimin’s bed. Their faces were damp and puffy from their tears and the air was a bit chilly. They kept each other warm and comforted, and the dreams that followed were full of smiles and laughter.
****
“I see a future where you and Hoseok hyung are dating.” Jungkook said as he demolished a yogurt cup at breakfast the next day.
Jimin had met up with Taehyung and Seokjin for breakfast with Jungkook following close behind despite not being invited.
(Jungkook saw a future where he was invited).
(At least according to Seokjin).
(Jimin thought that Seokjin just wanted him there).
“Wait, you didn’t even let me finish.” Jimin whined.
He had been explaining the previous night to the three others as they ate together and was still on the part where he was complaining about his mom.
“I didn’t let you finish because I was able to see the future.” Jungkook stuck his face in the yogurt cup to try and get out the remaining parts. Seokjin looked disgusted.
“Okay so we did end up confessing to each other at the end of the night.”
“Ah HA!” Jungkook threw down the yogurt cup and looked very proud of himself. “I knew it.”
Jimin rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t stop smiling, still lost in the feeling of falling in love with someone.
Taehyung grabbed onto his arm and squealed, shaking Jimin around. “We need the details!”
Jimin forced Jungkook to promise not to interrupt as he explained the rest of the night. Taehyung never broke eye contact, looking at Jimin with so much fondness in his eyes.
Jimin was glad to have Taehyung and his support. If he was going to be arranged to marry anyone, he was glad it was Kim Taehyung.
“I just don’t know what to do about my mom.” Jimin said as Taehyung sighed knowingly. “People are going to see Hoseok hyung and I together and get that back to her. I told her how I felt, but none of it matters because he's not Taehyung and he’s a light witch.”
“I think you and Taehyung should get both of your families together and talk about this.” Seokjin said as he and Jungkook were seemingly playing footsie under the table again . “Taehyung doesn’t want to marry Jimin and Jimin doesn’t want to marry Taehyung. You are both adults.”
They’d had this conversation with Seokjin many times since first meeting him and it had caused multiple arguments to the point where they had to stop talking about it. Seokjin was a good friend, but he didn’t understand what the upper class dark witches were like. He didn’t understand that just because Jimin and Taehyung were adults it didn’t mean anything to their families.
“My parents were asking me to visit home this upcoming weekend.” Taehyung was saying as he and Jimin shared a look. “They told me to bring Jimin along.”
Jimin knew that if his mother knew about him and Hoseok, then Taehyung’s parents most likely did as well. They didn’t usually ask for them to come visit home so early in the school year so Jimin knew it had to be about that.
“So your parents are going to scold me too.” Jimin said and Taehyung bumped his shoulder with Jimin’s.
“I’ll just be worse and tell them I have feelings for my two roommates that are light witches. Me being into two light witches is worse than your one.”
The table was silent. Seokjin and Jungkook even stopped kicking each other momentarily.
“I foresaw this.” Jungkook decided to say and that broke the silence as the entire table immediately started protesting and complaining.
“No you did not!” Seokjin was back to kicking Jungkook under the table which progressed to the two of them poking each other as well.
“Yes I did! I’m clairvoyant!”
“We need to get you reevaluated.”
Seokjin and Jungkook continued arguing with each other as Jimin turned to Taehyung.
“Do you really like them or are you just trying to make me not look as bad?”
Taehyung had a little glint in his eye. “Who can really say?”
They all said goodbye and left for their classes soon after that. Jimin had told Taehyung he would come with him to visit his parents and Taehyung said he could decide not to go at any moment if he felt like he really didn’t want to.
Taehyung and Jimin continued to chat as they walked together to class as Seokjin and Jungkook went off on their own way. They didn’t have classes on the same side of campus yet somehow managed to walk the same way with each other. Jimin and Taehyung decided not to question it.
Jimin and Hoseok had been texting through the morning as well even after saying goodbye as they both left the dorm in the morning. Hoseok liked texting random pictures of squirrels he saw around campus or pretty pictures of the sky. He liked sending pictures of snacks or meals he was having throughout the day. He liked texting Jimin about anything and everything. Jimin loved it. He loved when his phone buzzed and he saw it was a text from Hoseok. He loved the way it completely brightened up his mood. Taehyung noticed it as well and would tease Jimin every single time.
That morning, Jimin had woken up curled against Hoseok just like he had been doing ever since they started sleeping together, but he had worried that things would be awkward for them after what they said the night before.
Instead, Hoseok had just said that Jimin looked beautiful when he first woke up and kissed his forehead.
Jimin didn’t want to let his or Taehyung’s families take away from his happiness. He didn’t want them to take away from Hoseok’s either. He knew that Hoseok was worried about him since he overheard Jimin’s conversation with his mother and he didn’t want that to affect the start of their relationship. He just wanted to fall in love and have a relationship like a normal witch would. He didn’t want to worry about how it would affect his or Taehyung’s families. And Jimin certainly didn’t care about what the media had to say about it.
He struggled to pay attention in class as his mind was still thinking about what to do and what to say to convince their families that he and Taehyung didn’t have to get married.
When he got back to his dorm after his classes, Hoseok was already there sitting on Jimin’s bed with his airpods in and a textbook levitating in front of him so that he didn’t need to bend over to read it. He had on a cute pair of reading glasses and seemed really focused when Jimin walked in that he didn’t even notice him enter the room. Jimin thought it was cute and threw off his shoes and got on the bed beside Hoseok and wrapped himself around him. Hoseok relaxed in Jimin’s hold and let the textbook fall down and land on the bed.
“You’re back!” Hoseok kissed the side of Jimin’s face almost hesitantly. That type of closeness was different but very welcomed. “My last class got let out early.”
Jimin was quiet for a moment, just letting himself hold Hoseok for a moment as his mind finally took a break from all of the worrying he had been doing.
“You’re cute when you study.” Jimin finally said and Hoseok’s face brightened up, causing Jimin to brighten up as well.
Hoseok had that effect on people.
“You’re cute all the time, actually.” Jimin decided. “I missed you today while I was in my classes. It’s kind of sick that we don’t even get a day off after we start dating.”
“The weekend is coming up.” Hoseok said. “I was hoping we could do something together?”
Jimin’s heart sank because he knew he was going to have dinner with Taehyung’s family. He could text Taehyung and say he didn’t want to go, but he also knew it would piss their parents off even more than they already were.
“I want to.” Jimin said and he saw Hoseok’s smile fall a little bit when he sensed a ‘but’ coming, which hurt. “Taehyung’s parents invited me and him to dinner this weekend. Most likely to lecture us.”
Hoseok’s hurt look turned sympathetic. “I don’t understand why they’re so caught up on this.”
Jimin shrugged. “Taehyung wants to try getting out of our arrangement again. He has a weird plan. I just want to be able to date you normally.”
“Do you think there’s a chance your family would ever be okay with us being together?” Hoseok asked, his hold around Jimin tightening.
“I don’t know.” Jimin replied, because he didn’t want to give himself or Hoseok hope, only just to take it away. “I don’t know.”
****
Jimin and Taehyung were getting picked up by Taehyung’s family driver once the weekend hit. It was friday night and they were both waiting in Hoseok and Jimin’s dorm to be told they could come down to the car.
“If we’re lucky, they’ll let us leave tomorrow.” Taehyung said from where he sat next to Jimin on Jimin’s bed.
Hoseok sat on his own bed for once, watching Jimin nervously.
“I just hope that they give up on the idea of our arranged marriage. We can work together just fine being friends. Why can’t we just merge our families out of friendship? Marriage is so last decade.” Jimin said, which made Taehyung laugh.
“Wouldn’t it make more sense for them to want us to have reach within the light witch community, anyway?” Taehyung asked, which did make sense.
“I don’t know what goes through our parents' heads, Taehyung-ah. I just want to get this dinner over with.”
When they finally got a text that the driver had arrived, Hoseok kissed Jimin goodbye.
“Good luck. Call me if you get a chance after dinner.”
Jimin pressed his forehead against Hoseok’s, not wanting to leave the comfort and safety of their dorm.
“Okay, I’ll try. I’ll text you if I can’t call.”
Jimin kissed Hoseok once more before following Taehyung out of the room and down to the car, Hoseok’s eyes watching him until he was completely out of sight.
Jimin hated whenever he had to go back to one of the mansions. He hated it because he felt like he couldn’t even be himself around Taehyung. It was a cold and cruel environment that made goosebumps rise along his body the closer they got. Jimin and Taehyung held hands the entire car ride because it was the only thing that was capable of bringing them any sense of warmth.
They continued holding hands even as they pulled up to the mansion and got out of the car. They held hands as they walked into Taehyung’s home and continued to when they had to greet his parents. It was no surprise to anyone that Jimin’s parents were also there. They had both expected it after the last minute invitation and the call that Jimin had had with his mother.
“Dinner is prepared.” Taehyung’s father said. “Why don’t we move into the kitchen?”
Dinner always felt so impersonal around their families. Jimin thought about the dinners he’d had at the university with his friends since the school year started. They had been more of a family to him than his own ever had.
As he sat in the spacious and dark kitchen next to Taehyung, he felt anxious and distant. It was a stark contrast to the warmth and sense of community he had felt with his friends. He thought of Seokjin and Jungkook’s bickering. He thought of Taehyung and his weird one sided competition that he had with his roommates. He thought of Hoseok and how the two of them would fall into their own little world whenever they were together. He thought that they were the true definition of family. Not his blood related relatives.
“We wanted to discuss furthering your relationship at a faster pace.” Jimin’s father stated once they had all sat down. “The media has been gossiping about your breakup or tensions within the relationship. We should announce your engagement soon.”
Jimin felt his heart shattering at those words as he clenched his hands under the table, squeezing Taehyung’s with his own.
“I don’t think that would be a good idea.” Taehyung spoke up from next to Jimin, challenging Jimin’s father.
All of their parents gave each other looks that Jimin did not feel like deciphering. There was a fire in Taehyung’s eyes, though, and Jimin wondered why he had taken Jimin’s situation so personally.
“Why don’t you think it’s a good idea?” Taehyung’s mother asked. “You should be worried about your reputation after what Jimin pulled this week.”
Jimin’s mother scoffed at that, but didn’t make any comments. Jimin didn’t feel surprised that she wouldn’t stand up for him.
“He didn’t do anything wrong.” Taehyung argued because of course, when Jimin’s own mother wouldn’t stand up for him, Taehyung would.
“He was seen acting cozy with another man when we have been talking about your marriage for years. We cannot risk jeopardizing the family reputation over a no name light witch who isn’t going to matter in a few years.” Taehyung’s father argued back and Jimin had enough.
“Stop talking about Hoseok hyung like that.” He stood up suddenly, the chair he had been sitting in fell over with the force he had stood up at.
Taehyung tugged at his hand, eyes pleading, but Jimin was done with the bullshit.
“Taehyung-ah and I are not in love with each other and we are never going to be. He’s my best friend and I love him more than anything in the world, but I do not want to marry him. He deserves to find someone to love just as much as I do, and we aren’t going to find that in each other.” Jimin was doing everything he could to not start crying. He needed to stay strong and composed so that his family would take him seriously.
“Hoseok hyung makes me happy. Isn’t that what you want for us? Don’t you want us to find someone we can have a love story with?”
“That’s enough.” Jimin’s mother said. “This behavior is childish. You’re an adult, Jimin. Grow up.”
Taehyung stood up next to him, a horrified look on his face. Jimin couldn’t even muster up the strength to try and stop him from getting involved.
“Grow up?” Taehyung laughed humorlessly. “You have all been stuck in an outdated mindset our entire lives. Jimin and I don’t care about merging our families. We never cared about the politics of us versus them with the entire witching community. We just want to have a chance to be ourselves.”
“We don’t get that luxury.” Taehyung’s father argued back. “We are the two most influential families in the dark witch community and the two of you are expected to uphold that. How are we going to maintain what we have worked so hard for if Jimin decides to fall in love with a light witch?”
Jimin was going to speak in defense of Hoseok again, but Taehyung was just getting more riled up.
“Who cares about if we fall in love with a light witch! Before this school year I knew nothing of light witch magic or what light witches are like. The witching community has had enough of the prejudice from both sides! Why not take this as an opportunity to come together as one? Why should we not take the chance to learn more about each other and to further our magic in that way?”
Jimin could tell that Taehyung had spent a lot of time talking with both Yoongi and Namjoon. Taehyung was extremely smart, and he was finally getting an outlet to explore his opinions and to grow and expand his viewpoint of the world.
Jimin thought that they were very good for him.
Their parents were stunned, but Taehyung wasn’t finished. Jimin’s mother started to open her mouth, probably to complain again, but Taehyung interrupted her before she could even get a word out.
“I’m not done.”
Everyone continued to stare at him, whether in anger or fear, Jimin did not know. They listened with rapt attention, nonetheless.
“You should know that Jimin isn’t the only one falling in love with a light witch.” Taehyung paused for dramatic effect and winked at Jimin who knew exactly where this was headed. “I’m falling in love with two.”
The silence was deafening. You could have heard a pin drop on the floor from all the way across the house with how dead silent it had become in that kitchen. Not a person had even touched the food in front of them. Everyone was just staring at Taehyung who looked extremely proud of himself.
“I’ve learned more from those two light witches than I’ve learned from any of you my entire life. You said that Jimin should grow up, but the people that should be growing are all of you. The witching community to start to come together and learn from each other. We’d be most powerful then.”
Taehyung was done. Jimin could tell because he immediately sat down and released Jimin’s hand so that he could take a bite of his food. He was the only one who ate anything the entire night.
“I really like Hoseok hyung.” Jimin said despite the awkward silence that was still ongoing. “His magic is new and different to me. He’s kind and brings light to my dark. He’s helping me grow. I really hope that you can accept this. I really hope that you can come around because I’m not going to give him up anytime soon.”
“I think you should both leave.” Taehyung’s father said.
Jimin’s heart sank. He looked desperately towards his parents but they refused to look back at him.
Taehyung’s driver collected them in the driveway as they made their way back to the school. It was bittersweet, and Jimin knew that things weren’t over. Their parents just wanted time to cool off before they came up with their next plan of action.
“You did amazing tonight.” Jimin said to Taehyung as they held hands again in the car. “I can tell that you’ve been talking a lot with Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung.”
It was dark, but Jimin knew his best friend well enough to know that he was probably blushing.
“I really do think I’m starting to like them.” Taehyung whispered, as if he hadn’t just yelled the fact at his entire family. “I think I’m starting to like them a lot.”
Once they got back to their school, they walked back to their dorms together. Just being back on campus made Jimin feel like a huge weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. He felt as though he could breathe again.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” Taehyung said once they were standing in front of Jimin’s dorm. “Tell Hoseok to cuddle you tonight.”
“He always does.” Jimin replied as Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug.
“I love you a lot, Jimin-ah. I’m glad you’re my best friend.”
Jimin squeezed Taehyung as he rested his head against his shoulder, holding him as close as he possibly could.
“I love you too, Taehyung-ah.”
They separated with tears in their eyes as they bid farewell for the night. Jimin desperately tried to wipe them from his face before he walked into the room where Hoseok was.
Jimin opened the door slowly because he wasn’t sure if Hoseok was asleep or not and he didn’t want to wake him. It had gotten late between the drive to Taehyung’s, the disastrous dinner, and the drive back. Jimin, however, selfishly hoped that Hoseok was still awake.
“Jimin-ah?” Hoseok sat up, a bit bleary eyed. “You’re home already?”
Jimin didn’t miss the fact that Hoseok was cuddled up in his bed and not his own. He didn’t miss that Hoseok had referred to their tiny dorm as home. Jimin practically threw himself at him, not even caring that he wasn’t in his pajamas yet. He just needed to feel Hoseok’s warmth.
“I’m home.” Jimin said into Hoseok’s neck as Hoseok wrapped his arms around him. “Please cuddle me.”
“You don’t even have to ask.”
Jimin and Hoseok laid down on the bed together and then curled into each other so easily, burying themselves against each other and holding on like their lives depended on it.
“Are you okay?” Hoseok asked, rubbing Jimin’s back.
Jimin breathed out. “I’m going to be, now that I’m here with you again.”
They fell asleep like that. Jimin hadn’t wanted to talk about what happened with his family yet and Hoseok respected that. He gave Jimin the comfort he needed as they drifted off to sleep in each other’s arms.

Jimin and Hoseok were able to go on the date they had been hoping for since Jimin’s stay at Taehyung’s house had been cut short.
“There’s this really cool spot I want to take you.” Jimin told Hoseok the next day.
They had spent the day by meeting up with the rest of their group for breakfast and then hung out in Taehyung, Yoongi, and Namjoon’s dorm for a few hours since it was the biggest one out of all of theirs. Taehyung and Jimin still had not opened up about what had happened, and nobody pushed them too, wanting to give them the time they needed to collect their thoughts and figure out what was next. Jimin did not want to let it get to him and had let the idea of going on a date with Hoseok take away the anxiety that had been bubbling up within him ever since that dinner.
Later, after they had said goodbye to everyone, Jimin dragged Hoseok into a nearby grocery store on campus so they could buy things for a picnic Jimin had started to plan for dinner. Jimin decided to take control of the date and was getting extremely invested in it. He wanted everything to be perfect for Hoseok since their weekend hadn’t started off in the best way.
“Grab all of your favorite snacks and drinks.” Jimin said as he picked up a ton of things and carried them around in his arms.
He must have looked a bit ridiculous because Hoseok chased behind him with a shopping cart.
“I’m fine with whatever you want.” Hoseok said as he loaded the things from Jimin’s arms into the cart.
Jimin was refusing to give Hoseok any major details about the date, just that he ‘knew a cool spot’ and that it was a dinner picnic. It was also essential that they went at night. Jimin had insinuated that it had to be dark.
After everything he had gone through the night before, he needed something fun. He needed something with Hoseok. Normally after arguing with his family he would get distant and refuse to leave the comfort of his room for a while, but he didn’t want it to get to him this time.
He was glad that Hoseok had let him take charge of the date, that he was indulging Jimin and going along with the spontaneity.
By the time they got out of the grocery store, Jimin was delighted to see that the sun was going to set soon.
“Just keep following me. I know it’s going to look sketchy at some point, but I promise I’m not going to murder you.” Jimin said as he started leading Hoseok towards their date location.
“I’d trust you with my life.” Hoseok replied, which resulted in a huge smile from Jimin.
Jimin had spent a lot of time alone in his first year at university. He had needed to do a lot of thinking alone when he felt as though he didn’t belong or wasn’t welcome within the school community. He even needed some time away from Taehyung and Seokjin at points, at the times when he was at his lowest. He had come across a small wooded area in the back of campus that lead into a small clearing with just enough room for a couple people to sit and relax. It was quiet there despite still being so close to the school. The sounds were drowned out with that of the wildlife, even if it was only a small portion of forest. Jimin knew that it was a spot used for some of the botany classes for witches that had an affinity for plant magic. It was more of a light witch thing, but Jimin still had enjoyed his time surrounded by wildlife.
When they reached the spot, the sun was just going down on the horizon and they were surrounded by golden and pink hues.
Jimin threw down the blanket he had packed and started placing all the food they had bought down on it.
“Let’s sit.” Jimin said as he took Hoseok’s hands in his and brought him down with him so they were both sitting on the blanket together.
“This spot is so relaxing.” Hoseok said, looking around with wonder in his eyes.
“Just wait until it gets dark.” Jimin said as he started opening the bags of snacks. “I discovered something really cool about this spot last year that I’ve never shown anyone else.”
“You spent a lot of time here then?” Hoseok took a bite of a chip as he watched Jimin’s face. His skin was glowing in the gold of the sunset.
“When I was anxious or needed time to myself I would come here.” Jimin replied. “It makes you feel like nothing else in the world matters. It feels like time almost stops when you’re here.”
Jimin wished that time actually did stop when he was there with Hoseok. Nothing else mattered except for the two of them on that blanket together. His family and their expectations didn’t matter. His arranged marriage with Taehyung didn’t matter. All that mattered was how Hoseok was looking at Jimin as if he was the only person that mattered in the entire world.
“Taehyungie yelled at our parents last night.” Jimin finally said, deciding to open up before the sun completely set.
Hoseok hummed softly, wanting Jimin to continue talking.
“They were mad at me and were ridiculing me for wanting to date a light witch. I tried… I really tried to stand up for you and us. I think I was going about it too softly and Taehyung just snapped.”
Hoseok nodded as he listened so Jimin continued.
“He was going on about prejudice in the witching community and how we should be open to exploring relationships between light and dark witches. He told our parents that they should be the ones growing up, not us.”
“He’s right.” Hoseok said.
Jimin nodded. “He is. After all of the arguing they kicked us out and told us to leave. I know it’s not permanent because that would be worse for our reputation, but they’re probably going to try and find another way to make us get married. I’m not going to let them. I told them that I’m going to be with you and that’s the end of it.”
Hoseok sat closer to Jimin and put an arm around him, rubbing his shoulder. “I’m really proud of you both.”
Jimin put his head on Hoseok’s shoulder as the sky darkened around them. “I’m really proud of us, too.”
“I’m glad I was able to transfer here and meet all of you.” Hoseok said. “I feel like everyone has become like a family to me. You know I never had that within a group of friends.”
“I think it’s something that both of us needed.” Jimin replied, knowing very well what Hoseok meant. “I don’t think I knew what family meant until this school year started.”
The night sky embraced them as the sun fully set and there was no longer any light in the sky other than the stars and the moon above them.
“Be quiet now, just watch.” Jimin whispered to Hoseok as they sat on the blanket cuddled against each other.
Hoseok gasped quietly as small glowing balls of light started to arise out of the trees and the plants around them.
“Are those…” Hoseok whispered, eyes wide.
“Fairies.” Jimin whispered back.
The fairies were tiny little creatures that rose when the night began and spread their fairy magic on nearby nature.
Hoseok and Jimin watched the glitter trails that followed behind the little lights, leaving sparkles in their place. The grass beneath them shined and the small forest clearing was lighting up from the magic of all of the fairies surrounding them. One was curious enough to fly in front of Hoseok and Jimin’s faces, and seemed to find humor in the way Hoseok flinched slightly and curled closer into Jimin.
“Relax, they’re just curious.” Jimin giggled.
“I know, this is just unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.” Hoseok replied.
The fairies danced around in the air and continued to fly around the area for an hour or so before they moved on to their next location where they planned to spread their magic, but not before they flew around Jimin and Hoseok for a little bit to say goodbye.
“Where are they going?” Hoseok asked, already missing their glow.
“Onto the next spot.” Jimin said. “We can come visit them again sometime, they already like me. I think they like you, too.”
Hoseok’s face lit up. Both of them had fairy magic in their hair and on their faces so they were sparkling a bit. Jimin thought that Hoseok looked beautiful doused in fairy magic. He leaned in and pressed his lips against Hoseok’s, holding his face in his hands. His lips were soft and slightly cold from the chilly night air, but Jimin thought that he had never felt more warmth in his entire life.

“Yeah and then I threw a piece of cake at them and said I wouldn’t come back.” Taehyung was explaining the dinner with their parents to everyone else a few days later.
“No you did not.” Jimin replied, rolling his eyes as Taehyung started whining.
“Don’t ruin my story, Jimin-ah. It’s not fun if there isn’t a dramatic flair to it.”
“And then what?” Jungkook was completely invested, huge eyes watching Taehyung with rapt attention, soaking in every single detail.
Jimin just relaxed back up against Hoseok where they were cuddled up on the floor. They were all back in Taehyung, Yoongi, and Namjoon’s room with the intention to study, but Jungkook asked about what happened at the dinner and things went downhill from there. (Jimin was honestly impressed that Jungkook lasted as long as he did without becoming extremely nosy).
Taehyung and Jungkook were mostly taking up all of the conversation as Taehyung dramatized the disaster dinner and Jungkook ate it up. Jimin did notice, however, the way that Seokjin was watching Jungkook with fond eyes, and how he never once looked away.
“My favorite part of the entire dinner was when Taehyung-ah went on a rant about the prejudice in the witching community and then immediately sat down and started eating dinner despite nobody else having taken even a bite.” Jimin said, laughing at the memory.
It was a bit humorous after they were back at the university, Jimin found that he was able to laugh about it after letting his emotions out with Hoseok.
“Did you really?” Yoongi was suddenly invested in the story, he and Namjoon looked extremely proud of Taehyung.
Jimin, as Taehyung’s best friend, had to hype him up even more. “Yep. My favorite moment was when he said he’d learned more from Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung than he had from his parents his entire life.”
Taehyung was bright red and Jimin could tell he wanted to tackle Jimin to the floor, but Yoongi and Namjoon looked just as equally flustered by the information Jimin had just given.
“Did he really?” Namjoon asked, looking from Jimin to Taehyung.
“Yep!” Jimin said, not giving Taehyung even a moment to speak. “He was speaking in defense of light witches and how dark and light witches should come together to create a stronger witching community.”
“Yeah. Well, I guess I did say that.” Taehyung muttered, trying to remain cool and not murder Jimin.
“I just got a vision!” Jungkook blurted out causing everyone to groan.
“Okay thats-so-raven what did you see this time?” Seokjin asked sarcastically even though he looked extremely in love with Jungkook.
“I just saw a future where Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung are dating Taehyungie hyung.”
The entire room erupted into chaos.
Jimin had never felt more at home in his entire life.
Later that night, Hoseok and Jimin were watching a movie together on Jimin’s laptop while cuddled up in bed.
“Do you think your parents are ever going to be okay with us being together?” Hoseok asked before pressing pause on the movie.
Jimin knew it had been bothering him, the thought that Jimin might have a strained relationship with his family because of their relationship. Jimin had tried to tell him that their relationship had already been strained ages ago.
“I think they finally understand that Taehyungie and I are never going to get married and they’re working through that.” Jimin replied. “I think our words finally got to them which is why they told us to leave instead of continuing to argue.”
Hoseok and Jimin both knew that the witching community had a lot to go through before it could be the world that they all envisioned. The university combining all of them had been a good start, but they still had ages to go before light and dark witches would come together. The older generations on both sides were far too stubborn.
“I think that once the community sees that Taehyungie and I are dating light witches, there will be backlash from both the light witch and dark witch sides.” Jimin said, because he had thought about this a lot. “But I also think that our relationships are going to give the community the push that we’ve needed. I think that this is going to be a very good thing. Whether my parents come around or not, it’s up to them. I’m happy now with who I am as a person and the people I’ve decided to surround myself with.”
Hoseok smiled, looking proud of Jimin. Jimin felt proud of himself.
“As long as you’re happy.” Hoseok said before kissing the top of Jimin’s head.
“I am happy. I feel like I’ve done a lot of growing since the school year started and I’m becoming a better person. I think you’ve really helped me become a better person.”
Hoseok hummed, holding Jimin closer.
“Let’s become the people this community needs together. We can show everyone how well light and dark witches work together.”
Jimin let himself get lost in the feeling of Hoseok’s touch. The feeling of home.
“Okay, let’s do it together.”
Jimin thought that the family he had built could be the change that the community needed. They could all do it together.
