The room was small yet organised, the strong smell of cleaning products was prominent.
"Go take a seat for me Aventurine I won't take too long to prepare." He nods to the blonde man inviting him into his clinic closing the door after him with a soft secure click of the handle turned upwards.
Aventurine sat down on the blue seat that reclined up and down like the one you would find at a dentist's. It felt cold and slightly sticky from the cleaning products used on it from before. The light from above was bright and acute. Aventurine gazed behind him as Dr Ratio took out a tray and placed it on the side of him as he sat down on a chair to the left of Aventurine. He pulled onto the ends of the blue rubber gloves securing it properly as it fit perfectly on each of his digits.
Dr Ratio motioned Aventurine to outstretch his arm. He rolls up his sleeve cleaning his cubital fossa and tightens the tourniquet around the bicep, Aventurine peered down at the doctor who was too busy focusing on trying to find his vein- he couldn't help but find him and his job so admirable, an irritated tongue click made Aventurine chuckle.
"Whats wrong doc?"
"I can't find a vein..."
Dr Ratio furrowed his brows in annoyance. His middle and index pulsating over the flesh of Aventurines became more desperate until they finally circled round an area within the dip of his arm, Dr Ratio's brows finally lifted from their crossed position.
"Ah, found one." His chair made a low creak as he reached over for the needle. It was thin body of silvery grey with two green wings on its side.
Dr Ratio made one last circle rub on the vein to confirm where to insert the needle.
"Sharp scratch."
Dr Ratio's voice was calming and reassuring. Like a parent soothing a child for their first blood test even though he knew that Aventurine was capable of handling a small needle.
"Can you hold my hand?" Aventurine teased, his cheeky pink eyes meeting Dr Ratio's unfazed ones.
"Don't be ridiculous." He rolled his eyes and put in the needle slowly, soon the needle took in the blood and spiraled through the tube from the back into the vial the doctor held with his name on it. Barely readable from the doctor's handwriting. Dr Ratio's other hand remained on Aventurines arm firmly but not too tight. After a few vials had been filled up, the doctor placed a plaster over the slightly bruised area and rolled down his sleeve.
"Take plenty of fluids and don't get up too quickly. That's all I need from you today Aventurine. Thank you for being co-operative." The dark haired man stood up taking the vials and storing them away safely as he saw aventurine to the door.
"Good day to you Doctor, I'm sure my blood will be of good use." The Blonde man winked with a smile as he left the clinic.
As Dr Ratio closed the door he slumped into his chair letting it spin him gently. He felt exhausted, finally he could take off his face mask, he leaned into the mirror in front of the sink as he discards his gloves, his sharp fangs visible in his set of pearly white teeth. He slumps back in his seat again staring into the bright white light above burning his eyes. Suddenly his eyes widened and his pupils shrank, his body felt stunned and his mouth watered with more saliva, he could hear his heart beat desperately in hunger.
He had been gone without blood for too long.
He quickly reached into his briefcase for some blood he retrieved beforehand but to his horror all six vials had been demolished throughout the day. He couldn't wait until he got home for more. He needed blood now. His eyes then drifted over to the storage stand that propped up Aventurines fresh red wine blood. It looked absolutely ravishing, he couldn't resist.
No matter how much the doctor refrained from stepping closer it felt like his body betrayed him. Like a magnet drawing him closer and closer. His breath became shallow. He couldn't hold back. He had to.
He pounced over to the vials like a famished predator opening the tops of them and instantly drinking the fluid and savouring its taste. It was unlike any other human blood he had before. It was sweeter and had a tangy note of something so addicting. It was like his taste buds could taste every memory of Aventurine's. It slid down his throat with a warm burning sensation. The same one that good liquor leaves. Fiery and addicting.
It felt so wrong, but too good to stop. He had 3 vials of it all for himself. He felt selfish for doing such an improper act. A doctor is someone who saves lives, is selfless and puts others before themselves. Yet here he was doing the opposite, but who could blame him? Besides. Whats the point of a doctor who can't even treat themselves to the proper basic care he needs himself?
Practically the blood didn't go to waste. It saved him from going bloodthirsty. But there was something about the blood that made the doctor feel indifferent. Not in a bad way, but it was complicated. Too complicated for him to make sense of it. Whether he took the blood or not he would've gone insane either way. It was like a one way system for him.
Soon he felt his body heat rise, it felt hot, his head was spinning like he had been intoxicated over too much liquor, his face was a very obvious shade of red, his breathing became erratic and his mind left busy and distracted, Yet he couldn't help but want more.
This had never happened to him before, was he drugged? Was there something Aventurine could have potentially taken before his blood withdrawal that could have contaminated his blood? Dr Ratio couldn't think straight or look straight. He stumbled gripping onto the counter. His body shaking with each breath.
Thoughts of Aventurine ran through his mind, his golden hair, his soft flesh, his succulent signature cologne that he could smell off him from miles away like the scent trail left from a fox, his chuckle bright and optimistic twisted with his sultry voice, all his senses were interrupted by Aventurine in some way. They wandered through his mind like pollution.
That damned gambler.
He wanted more, wanted more of his blood. His body shuddered as it gave way to his insanity, it was like another side of him had unravelled. Like Jekyll into Hyde, he looked into the sink mirror infront of him. He looked insane and he was insane-letting his thoughts contort him. His fantasies ran wild running his hands on Aventurine's arm again just to find a vein, a vein to his heart.
To sink his teeth into that pretty neck of his and suck his blood dry letting it trickle down his collarbone staining his lips like a strong dye as their bare bodies come in contact within each others embrace. Oh how he wanted to make him his, hearing the other repeat his name in such a desperate manner, pressing his lips onto the other as they lace each others tongues and bodies as one knot of lust.
One week later~
Aventurine entered the clinic once again. He looks up at Dr Ratio who seemed to not be wearing a mask this time, his lips were the first to catch the gambler's eye.
"Didn't know you were a fan of lip sticks. Looks good on you." Aventurine chuckled again as he sat down on the familiar blue chair.
Dr Ratio smirked as he put on his rubber gloves once again.
"Oh you noticed? Well, it's a lip stain that I haven't seemed to go a day without wearing. Could say it's quite an addicting shade." He blushes with a shifty smirk.
"Oh? Well it suits you very well, brings out the shape of your lips beautifully." Aventurine remarked with charm.
"Why thank you, I think you suit well on me too." The doctor chuckled leaving him confused.
"What do you mean I suit well on you?" Aventurine met eyes with the doctor once again, his pupils shrank back in shock as he witnesses Dr Ratio dip his pinky into the vial of blood with his name on it and smear it evenly over his lips.
Aventurine felt stuck to his seat as his eyes catch upon his fangs too. His lip quivered.
"Your blood was certainly of good use,
Pretty peacock~"
