Chapter Text
Violet awoke from yet another weird dream, she'd been wandering through the ruins of a castle but she had no idea where this castle was located or what its history was, much less if it was a real landmark. She made a mental note to check her map after she'd had her morning tea and breakfast, then stood up and walked over to her small chest, pulling out her work garment, a simple brown dress. After dressing, she brushed and put up her long black hair into a simple bun, adding a hair comb with green stones for abundance.
Taking a moment to study her reflection, she then headed to the small kitchen to cook some eggs and make her tea. Stirring in a bit of sugar, clockwise, she sipped the tea as she stood over the well used gas stove, cooking and scrambling the two eggs, before adding a bit of salt and basil. Sliding the eggs onto a plate, she ate quickly, knowing she needed to check on Hellebore and give her food and water as well before opening the shop. Sure enough, a rather demanding meow came from downstairs and Violet giggled before calling down "I'll be right there!" Quickly she cleaned up and washed her hands before hurrying downstairs and petting the jet black cat who seemed to love nothing more than to sit on the counter and get pets and scritches from the people who came into the shop.
"I'm sorry I'm late" she said, scratching gently under Hellebore's chin before filling her bowls with water and food. "There you are" she said, heading for the door and unlocking it before moving behind her desk and opening the hidden drawer that held all her tools. Pulling out her book of plants and the map of the country she lived in, she smiled as she searched for any unknown landmarks, hoping to find the castle from her dreams.
Just a few minutes later, she heard the chime at the door go off and look up to see Faye Swift, a woman who had the power of dream walking. She had been very helpful in dealing with the Servant and the young woman who had thought to control him. "Good morning, Faye" she greeted her, "how can I help you this morning?" Faye smiled and softly stroked Hellebore before saying "First of all I wanted to apologize for snapping at you back when the whole situation was going on. I was scared and was hoping that you could give me something to silence the dreams, but if you had, then I do not believe we would have figured out what was going on."
Shaking her head, she then said "Anyway, I wanted to talk to you about these dreams I've been having. They're very ominous but there's nothing so far to be scared of, as far as I can see anyway. The problem is, I can't really remember them in time to write them down in my dream journal. Do you have anything that can help?" Violet looked through her plants and realized she was out of Madiens Sorrow which was the plant she needed, so she said "Faye, I don't have any but I know where it is. Give me some time and I'll get it for you, okay?" Faye smiled and said "Thank you so much! I really appreciate the help!" She then slid Violet some gold coins and turned to leave, calling out "Let me know when you're back and I'll come pick it up."
