This had been… a plan thousands of years in the making, she’d waited so long for this single moment that it was all going to be worth it in the end.
The Nathrezim that exited this portal… she knew him, knew exactly who and what he was, the one who gleefully commanded her… Home... be burned to the ground and so she sat there… biding her time, she’d issued a challenge for him, in a way that she was sure he’d figure it was from his newest prey…
Finally… When he was getting frustrated, she walked slowly from the shadow’s. She'd studied his next target and she fit almost everything, so when she walked out, he didn’t recognize her.
“I didn’t think you’d ever show yourself coward…”
“I’m your huckleberry~…” She said in her people’s tongue, only a few even knowing it existed, the demon being one of them, and his face… the Dreadlord almost looked like the color had drained from his face as he whips towards her and stares.
“Why Xil’var… you look like… someone walked over your grave…” She said smirking at him as she flicked a lit cigarette that she had been smoking towards him
“You… I killed the last of your Tribe millenia ago!” It had taken him a moment, but her tribe was always distinctive, giving him an almost… knowing smirk, She responded “Yet here I am~! and now… I get to pay blood for blood… here in this place? You’ll die~!”
Her next move, the single thing she’d been waiting for so long to do, was to her draw her weaponry, deftly avoiding the fel energy that he sent her way, striking him with as much strength and power she could muster.
Over the course of many grueling hours, she managed it, his arms missing from his frame… one of her own lopped off, her gun… gently glowing with Light and Shadow pointed at his head.
“Say when~.”
That night… one final gunshot… this one marked quietly, by the chime of a bell, was the only sound in that chamber…
It wasn't enough...
But it was worth it.
