Chapter Text
Your name was Y/N L/N, born with a quirk called ‘fangling’ - summoning small, venomous dragons at will and controlling them. After you graduated from college, you had a small thought. It wasn’t a likely one though. You often brushed it aside, deeming it too… foolish to even think about. You wanted to make sure heroes did their job, therefore you wanted to meet younger heroes. What better way to do that than getting hired at UA? You had the education for it and you were quite sure the small rodent that ran the place would allow you to work there. Afterall you were a pro hero called ‘Dreadfangle’
You had to meet with them soon, so as you sat in your apartment and watched time fly by, you couldn’t help but look down at your silver watch your father had given you. It was about 12:00, almost mid-day. You decided on more casual wear, putting your hair into a loose, low ponytail with a navy blue scrunchie. You let the loose hairs fall out around your face - annoying, but stylish. You put on a black long-sleeved shirt, some ripped jeans, and your favorite black leather jacket. It was a bit chilly outside so you figured this would do. You didn’t bother with make-up, you didn't have much anyways.
You looked in the mirror briefly before turning to leave, grabbing your keys and walking out the door with it locked behind you. You took a good look outside, the cherry blossoms just beginning to bloom. You scurried down the pathways at a fairly brisk pace, not wanting to cause too much trouble for anybody of course. Although a few people recognise you, calling out your hero name and saying hello - in which you return the gesture each time.
You took a deep breath of air before pulling out a keycard, and walking up to the UA gates. You find yourself fascinated with all these big fancy hallways, something not too many schools have. Soon you enter the meeting room and are greeted by Principle Nezu, “Ah, welcome Y/N, glad you could make it.” The small fella clasping his hands together as you sat down. Nezu then got on with the meeting, talking about what role you would have mostly. As Nezu was already set on one topic, hero studies. “Ms.L/N, you will be offering support for Mr.Aizawa in class 1-A. Due to the things that have happened so far in this certain class, an extra teacher would be greatly appreciated.”
You nodded thoughtfully, glancing over at the class 1-A teacher. In which he firmly had a solid, serious stare. Sure, he was grumpy-looking, but he can’t be THAT bad? Right? Maybe your thoughts were distracted from the rest of the meeting, because you couldn't help but keep glancing at that scruffy man. The scar under his eye, the way he seemed so stoic on the outside. Maybe you two would become friends?
You always had a knack for being the kid nobody hung out with when you were younger. You didn't mind though, you always got the front seat because nobody wanted to be close to you. It wasn’t that you didn't like people though, you just didn’t want to talk. Or answer questions… It was annoying and took too much time after all. Of course after becoming a pro, you kinda had no choice but to deal with it.
You got home, took a relaxing shower, and changed into some PJ’s. You took out your phone, playing your favorite song as you brushed your teeth and undid your hair. You watched yourself in the mirror, smoothing out your frizzy hair with water and a brush before putting moisturizer in it. You tied your hair back into a ponytail, and laid down on your bed.
You picked up your phone and scrolled through some short videos, the day on replay in the back of your skull. Maybe we will be friends, you repeated.
Of course that thought was thrown out the window on your first day of work…
