Chapter Text
Stargazer was a prince of the stars, one who hopped between solar systems to even universes. He explored the different places for billions of years, until he landed upon one which he would later find contained someone he would hold within his voided body forever. Finding this one person, would alter the course of reality for the two, forever.
Stargazer sat upon a star a few hundred light years away, observing the planet which this person lived on. He watched them from the moment they were born, until he found the courage to actually go down and introduce himself.
Follower was training. As he always was. That’s all he could do. That’s all he was ever allowed to do. Because apparently he can’t be trusted to go on an actual mission. The memory of his life before becoming a follower of Illumina was blurry. He can’t remember much. He knew what he could remember was all twisted anyways. The most he knew was he had some sort of relationship with someone. He can’t remember who it was, he only knew that they had blue features.
Illumina later called in to speak with Follower. “Follower,” He let out a sigh. “I have decided that i’ll send you on a mission.” Followers wings twitched in anticipation, wondering where he would be sent. “There is this, thing, i’d like you to go find and kill for me. They’ve been observing this planet, specifically what we’re doing, for a while and i’m not happy about it. I want them gone.” There it was, he got his first mission. And it was one he later found he would not be able to accomplish.
Follower started flying around the area, looking for someone that seemed, out of the ordinary. It didn’t take long, however. In fact said person came straight to him.
“Hi!” Follower jumped back, hand on his sword when the blue entity fell from the tree he was just passing. “Oh wow! That’s one cool sword ya have there! what’s it made out of? Looks absolutely stunning. Diamond, perhaps? Ooh! Maybe titanium too!!” He was confused. Why were they being so polite to him? Surely they knew he was there to kill someone with the way they look. They look like a being of the stars. Like someone that could see it all.
“Ah, silly me. I haven’t introduced myself and that’s why i’m here! Hello, I’m Stargazer! You’re Sword, right?” He paused, debating if he should speak or not. He eventually decided he would. “I’m, Follower. I suppose you could call me Sword, though.” Stargazer giggled and smiled. “Awesome! It’s nice to finally meet you, I’ve been watching over you for years! Not to sound creepy of course though…” He trailed off, realizing what he said sounded really bad. “No no, It’s fine, Stargazer.” Follower said in a whisper, though it wasn’t intentional, he’s just very soft spoken. “You’ve always seemed like a good guy to me, i thought it might be nice to get to know you. You don’t seem to talk to many people.” Stargazer pat the spot beside him, offering Follower to sit down beside him. He did. He enjoyed Stargazers company. He prayed that he wasn’t the one he would have to kill. “I, don’t talk to many people, no. You’d be correct in that sense. I’m merely a follower of Illumina. We don’t exactly interact with each other.” Stargazer turned to him with a soft frown. “Well thats no fun! Talking to people is such an important part of life! Friends are what motivate lots of people. I think we could be friends. Don’t you?” Follower looked at the being, he thought about the offer. “I’d like that, Stargazer.”
