Work Text:
Ambrosius can’t wait until after the knighting ceremony.
Not so much for the accomplishment responsibility, but because he’s ready — more than ready — to shout his love for Ballister from the top of the Glorodome.
(He would have, years ago, if the man in question would've let him. Something about first wanting to prove himself worthy of knighthood and being judged on his own merits. Nevermind that Ballister already was the best in their class.)
Ambrosius feels vindicated by the cheers for “Boldheart” — they do love him — and proud to bursting.
But then a green light flashes, and his sword answers.
