Wenny had to force herself not to flinch when the door to her office slammed open. She sighed, placing down the beaker that she luckily had just emptied, and turned around.
She could tell who had entered just by the fact that they were wearing heelies.
Earlier that year, her siblings had unfortunately decided to do a 'white elephant' type of gift giving for Christmas, and Allen had bought heelies he planned to take for himself ....when Kat got to them first.
Wenny still chuckles at the memory of his face when Kat took them out the bag.
But now... she wears them EVERYWHERE.
Going to the mall? Heelies.
Vidcon? Heelies.
Need to go run some errands? Heelies.
Oh, what will she wear to go from the front door to the stairs? HEELIES.
It got so annoying that Betty made Kat promise to not get any dirt inside, or else she'd be "banned for life and you'll never get anything similar ever again." Betty's words, not Wenny's.
"Hey Kat. What brings you here?" Wenny asked her, slowly putting all her equipment away while still paying attention to the other girl in the room.
"Wenny, I need to know something." Kat said, walking- or, well, sliding into the room and stopping at the first table in her way.
"Hm?"
"When is your science phase gonna end? Also, when did we get a lab?"
"End? Why would it be a phase?"
"Wenny! This is just like your family phase! Except this time you've... gotten a permit for a lab in the house?"
"Last time I searched you didn't need a permit."
Kat's eyes shot to Wenny, that statement clearly more interesting than the pH scale poster on the wall. With her mouth practically about to unhinge like a snake's, she whispered "what do you mean?"
"Well, I searched it up and some webite called sciencemadness or something had people saying it was perfectly okay."
It took exactly 4 seconds of silence before Kat started freaking out.
"We could get in SO MUCH legal trouble about this Wenny!! You can't just build a lab in our home, especially not without the government's permission!?!"
"What do you mean she doesn't have the government's permission?"
Sometime during all of Kat's panicking, Kim had entered the office.
"SHE DOESN'T HAVE A PERMIT FOR THIS LAB KIM."
"....."
annnnnddd....
"WHAT?!?"
Wenny groaned, having finished putting away all the equipment she was using. "Kat, be careful with that glass bottle on the table there, don't break it."
Said person turned around, offended. "You think I'm THAT clumsy? That I'm just gonna flail my arms around like this and brea-"
All three of them watched with an equally horrified expression as the bottle fell off the table, onto a stain Wenny had never bothered to properly clean off the carpet.
with a very loud crash, it had broke.
Nothing happened for a few moments.
Just Kat, Kim and Wenny staring at the spilt mixture.
Everything was fine.
...
Until it started spewing black mist, of course.
Kat screamed, and two doors slamming open could be heard from above them, the cause most likely the other two siblings to complete this lovely family reunion.
"Kat! What's wrong?!"
Betty yelled as she rushed into the office, pausing at the mist that had began to cover the entire room.
"Wenny's on the other side!" Kim gasped, trying to see if she could climb over one of the counters.
But, she noticed that Wenny seemed.. entranced?
"This... this might just be a scientific breakthrough.."
"Really, Wenny?" Allen piped up from his place in the doorway, and definitely not scaring Kat so much she latched onto Betty. Nuh-uh.
"It.. looks like a portal? Like from minecraft.." Betty thought out loud, unfortunately solidifying Wenny's terrible idea even more.
Without thinking twice, Wenny stepped towards it and was immediately pulled into whatever this strange thing was.
"WENNY!" Allen screamed, pushing past the other three girls, but sadly he couldn't stop himself in time and also fell into whatever this strange thing was.
"ALLEN! Come on you two, we're going down there!" Kat declared, grabbing Betty and Kim, dragging them down into the portal with her.

"Ugh... my head.." Kat groaned, letting her eyes adjust to the increase of light there suddenly was.
"Wh- huh?" She mumbled, looking around.
There she sat, in a circle with four other people. She could only recognise who they were based on their outfits, as she regularly played minecraft with the owner of these skins.
"What the.." she looked down at her outfit and gasped, it was her minecraft skin's outfit!
"Where are we...?" Assumingly Kim asked, rubbing her eyes and looking at Kat.
"Kat.. your hair..?"
"I.. I think I know. This is weird."
"What even happened to us?"
"We should ask Wenny. She's the one who got us into this situation anyway!"
Speaking of Wenny, well she wasn't the next one to wake up. Instead, Allen woke up.
"what in the.." he mumbled, holding a hand to his head. Suddenly, his head snapped up, "is Wenny okay?? Where is she?" He yelled, causing the other two to cover their ears.
"Allen shush! She's right there, just asleep." Kim replied, cautiously.
Seeing Wenny safe seemed to have calmed him down, "oh. At least none of us are hurt, right?" He smiled apologetically, looking over at Kat before gasping. "Kat- your outfit??" He turned to look at Kim, eyes widening. "Kim?? What are you two wearing?"
Kat grinned, "take a look at your clothes before questioning us!!" He did as told.
"I'm in my minecraft clothes! Wait, how is this possible? Where even are we?" He proceeded to ask.
Kat shrugged, looking around. "It kinda looks familiar but.. I dunno, hard to name it."
"Yeah, it feels familiar to me too but I have no idea how!!!!" Kim agreed, nodding her head repeatedly.
Allen frowned, but he decided to change the topic instead of asking more, "why didn't those two wake up?" He asked, nodding his head towards Betty and Wenny.
"I'm not sure.... maybe we should just not question it?" Kim replied, "but I think we should at least try to wake them up." She continued, and Kat nodded her head.
"Yeah! We can't do anything if there's only 3 of us, let's at least get them awake so we can make a game plan!!" She agreed, poking Betty repeatedly in the arm.
After a couple pokes from Kat, which eventually turned into violent shaking, Betty woke up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the others, obviously very confused.
Well, she probably doesn't need to worry about hair dye anymore, since her hair was completely pink.
"Betty, your hair!" Kim gasped, apparently only having just seen her. Well, that or she wanted to be the one who told her.
"My hair..? Wait... why's my hair pink?!?!"
"You're hair was partly pink before, be specific." Allen scolded her, but you could tell in his tone it was more in a joke-y way.
"I mean.. ALL of it is pink! And... is that a cake hat??!" She yelled, having just felt the hat on her head while trying to grab bits of her hair to see the colour.
"We can finally answer the most asked question from KF! Is it a real cake?" Kat joked, despite thinking she knew the answer already.
Betty took the hat off of her head, and it strangely felt weird to see her without her hat. Strange. "No... it's not a real cake. It never has been." She replied, with a sad smile. "I mean not only is it unhygienic since the cake would rot especially if my character wore it 24/7 like we imply, it would start to smell terrible with the mould due to exposure to the elements and showering with it???? Out of the question!!" She continued, starting to rant.
"...so she takes it off sometimes?" Kim asked, at an attempt to stop Betty's rant.
it would go on for hours, okay? this was necessary.
"I'd like to think so, yeah. Very unsanitary." Betty nodded, before looking around, "where are we anyway? Is this a rooftop? Why is Wenny not awake yet? This is all confusing.
Kat shrugged, again, though Betty didn't see. She was looking out at the rest of the rooftop, since they could see it all from the corner they were at. There was a door that had been propped open, presumably so they could go in and out, and there were a lot of people. They all looked to be high school or college age, which was even more confusing. "Are we in a high school..? This looks so familiar.." she mumbled, watching as a guy with very, very red hair left the rooftop.
"All three of you have said this looks familiar!! I've never seen this place in my life!!" Allen complained, which most likely woke up Wenny, since she opened her eyes, blinking a few times. "Where are we..?"
"Oh my god!! Say something else!! We've ALL said 'wHeRe ArE wE!' it's getting UNORIGINAL!" Kat blurted out, which made Betty laugh.
"Kat! She just woke up, give her a break!" Kim nagged, tugging on a strand of her hair.
"Nah, it's okay. I think I somehow caused this anyway, sooo...." Wenny said, before Kat could retaliate. "Did we isekai or something? What school are we on?"
"That's what I wanna figure out! This is so weird... how did this even happen?" Betty wondered, turning back towards the group.
Wenny raised her arm, starting to say something when some hologram-like box popped up out of nowhere, scaring the life out of Kat, "wHAT IS THAT????"
Wenny stared at the screen, dumbfounded. "I- Can you guys see what it says or is that just me?"
Allen moved next to Wenny, looking at the screen. "Not just you, I can see it too."
From the other three's perspective, the text looked like it had been flipped, which meant they probably could see it too. "What does it say?" Kat asked, shifting around so she was sat cross legged.
"Ehh... it's like 'this is SYSTEM', uh, that's with a three instead of an e, actually. so SYST-three-M kinda," Wenny tilted her head, "it's basically saying we've been taken to some place called YHS, and we have to get one of the characters arrested-"
"Hold up, YHS? As in, our minecraft series? From 2016?" Kat interrupted, confused.
Kim looked at the rooftop. "Is this the rooftop from the school then? Season one or two?"
"The system thing says season 2. But it's like a college now, plot convenience or something." Allen answered. "It also says we have to pretend to be students and we can't go home til she's arrested."
"I can guess who we have to get arrested just by knowing where we are.." Betty groaned, wrapping her arms around her knees. "Yumi, right? I remember voicing her."
Allen paused, "you also voiced that one girl in season one right? Valerie.. oh god the senpai birthday scene." He muttered, putting his head in his arms.
Kat snickered, "Oh my god I remember that! Didn't it take you guys like, 5 takes to do it without laughing or messing up?"
"I think I checked the comments a few years ago when the video came up on my recommended. A lot of KF also found it funny!" Kim added, helpfully. Allen and Betty didn't seem amused, though.
"I cringe every time I remember that." The latter dead-panned.
"So, we're in YHS?" Kat mumbled. "Wait, what about our channel? KF will be so worried if we suddenly disappear!" She asked, worried.
"I didn't even think about that! The system thing says time paused in 'our world' so we can be here for ten years and come back just fine, I guess...?" Wenny glanced at the screen, answering Kat.
Betty rested her head on her knees. "What now? Do we just... go to school or something? Surely this 'system' has a game plan for us, right?"
The screen thing then MOVED. It flattened onto the space in the middle of the circle KREW had made, showing a few basic things that all of them could see just fine.
A strange, kind a robotic-y voice that reminded Wenny of a vocaloid started to speak.
"It's the last day of school. You go to your car, it is a blue tesla or whatever, I don't care about cars. It will drive you to your house. You guys are rich in this, by the way. You will go and you will spend summer figuring out how to get Yumi arrested. School starts. Use whatever name you want, I can hack the system and change it to whatever name you guys want, even potato pleb. FYI, theres a uniform."
The five of them just listened as the SYST3M gave them more information, most of which is really basic and doesn't need to be repeated. A lot of, 'this is who you'll share classes with' 'the characters from yhs season 2 are here' and 'you can personalise the uniform as much as you want.' Not a lot of note-worthy information.
"Well... let's go to our new house, I guess!" Betty said, standing up and brushing the totally real dust off of her skirt.
"You guys think we can film a house tour for KF?" Kat said, following suit - well not the part with brushing non-existent dust off, I guess.
"Maybe! That'd be fun to do!" Kim smiled brightly, with Wenny nodding.
"You guys aren't gonna question this..?" Allen commented, following along as they headed towards the door to the exit.
"Nope!" Betty smiled.
"We basically got isekai'd here, like Wenny said, so we might as well go along with it!" Kat continued, pretending to hold the door open for everyone else as they reached it. "Siblings first!" She grinned.
"Awh, how nice! Thanks, Kat!" Kim said, walking through the door and waiting for the others at the staircase.
They all started to go down the staircase, with random little comments from Allen and Kat on the way to the first floor.
"This school looks the same as before the server got corrupted, that's crazy." Kat muttered, as Betty told Allen off for saying something not PG-13, or something.
When they reached the first floor, it was time for the hardest task of the day.
Navigating through a hallway with tons of college students who had just been dismissed 5 minutes prior.
"Don't get lost guys!" Kat fake saluted, disappearing into the crowd as the others tried to catch up.
They all got split up, eventually. After like, 3 minutes they all met up outside the parking lot.
Betty held onto a nearby pillar, panting. "How... are you guys so... fast??!" She complained, slowly regaining her breath.
"You haven't experienced going through a hallway on your last day of school in years, that's why!" Allen replied, smirking. He had, sort of, been the most recent of KREW to graduate, though it was still years ago if they were in their actual bodies.
"Like you have! You graduated what, 8 years ago??" She shot back, letting go of the pillar.
"Everyone, stop arguing! This isn't like you!" Kat suddenly yelled, causing the other four to look at her confused.
"Are you an anime protagonist now...?" Wenny asked, frowning.
"No, but it got you to shut up. Come on! Let's go find our ride, blue tesla like the system-thing said!" The former answered, already having ventured into the parking lot by the time she finished that sentence.
The others looked at each other before following her, keeping an eye out for a blue tesla
After a full lap they couldn't find it. "UGH! Wenny can you get that little system thing to pop up again or something?? This is SO annoying!" Kim said from her spot on the ground, having sat down since she was somehow tired.
"I mean I can try, no promises though." Wenny answered, waving her hand up like she had done last time the hologram screen thingy popped up.
Thankfully, it did. This time it was a bunch of boxes with tiny text under them, and she had to squint her eyes to see what they said. "Uhh....... okay if I press this box that says transport.. and look for .. oh a folder titled blue tesla.. okay there's a license plate!" She read out the license plate, and KREW split up, looking for it.
After a few minutes, Allen called out that he had found it.
They all stood around the car. "How do we get in? Do any of you have keys?" Betty asked after 2 minutes of silence.
"I think the folder said it was touch activated." Wenny recalled, putting her thumb on the handle to the backseats. The car unlocked, and then it came time for the worst part of car trips with these five.
"I call shot gun!" Kat yelled.
"Kat look at the backseat, it's like a limousine! We can all fit there!" Betty objected.
"Well one of us needs to drive!" Kim shot at her.
"Guys, guys, it's automatic. When we all get in, wherever we sit, one of us presses the start and chooses on the map where to go, and it takes us there." Wenny said, trying to calm the three.
"...can I still call shotgun?" Kat asked, which the others groaned at, seemingly making her think she could. So she jumped into the front passenger seat, and the others got into the backseat.
How on earth was it slightly bigger on the outside? ...wait, they were isekai'd here. does logic even matter?
"Kat, can you handle the turning on thing?" Betty asked, while she was making sure they all put their seatbelts on.
Kat nodded. "Yeah, I got this! Just.. gimme.. a sec..." She pressed the start button, which turned on the car. She then just had to figure out how to get it to actually go anywhere.
It took like, 5 seconds for her to notice the tablet. "so much for having 20/20 vision..." she mumbled, trying to work the technology.
"You literally got laser eye surgery, what 20/20 vision?" Allen pointed out, causing Betty to shush him.
Kat rolled her eyes, finding the map app. "Home.. home... oh it has a destination ready!" She pressed start, and a notification came up on the screen.
'MAKE SURE ALL SEATBELTS ARE PLUGGED IN. SPEED LIMIT: 45.'
"If one of you doesn't have your seatbelt on I'm making you edit our next video when we get back!" Betty said, and suddenly all of them made sure their seat belt was on.
After a few seconds, the car started to move, and it was time to sit back and relax.
....and plan how to get Yumi arrested, I guess.
