Work Text:
The God Eyes. Power granted by The Gods to a member of the Justice company in charge of arresting and condemning the most dangerous criminals in the universe.
This member is the most talented sketch artist, Raora Panthera. With those newly given powers, she is able to draw anything and anyone as if she's looking directly at them.
Because that's exactly how it works, when most concentrated, Raora is able to see whatever, at any distance she pleases, as it happens right at the moment.
With her, she's only one fourth of the Justice team: Gigi Murin, the Chaser, Cecilia Immergreen, the Ancient automaton, and the leader of Justice, Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame.
—---------------------------------------------------------
“I'm bored” was what the pink-haired lady was thinking. Nowadays, the Justice HQ is preparing itself for the big infiltration mission to capture the five fugitives from The Cell. That means that Raora wasn't given much work.
“This is so boring, Chattino.” She was talking to her plush—well, one of many, actually. In her visit to the Far East, she came across this blue animal creature plushie that is apparently pretty famous, and with her newfound love, or addiction, she had purchased a concerning amount of plushies that even her own Justice members told her to dial down a bit, advice she obviously didn't take.
“Maybe I could check in on what the other girls are doing. I know that's a breach of privacy, but it's fine. If it looks bad or weird enough, I'll just stop, and they wouldn’t know.” She giggled to herself.
She thought about searching for Gigi, the wild card among the four of them. No one could think that someone with such small stature could run the way she did. But then again, she was easily distracted.
After preparing for a bit, she started to check on her. She wasn't in her room; she was… outside? She was barking at a dog on the way home.
She did remember that Liz told Gigi to go grocery shopping. Although it was funny, she started feeling curious about the others as well.
Cecilia was carrying a tray full of tea, which was weird because there was no one in her two-story bedroom, but weirder was the fact that she slipped and broke every cup. Raora could only laugh at the sight of Cecilia on her knees looking at the broken cups as if she saw a dead body.
Now it was Liz’s time. Raora was definitely closer to the other two in general. Liz always struck people as this huge, mysterious, and strong gal. So she was really interested in what Liz could be doing right now.
It was dark, but the window was open. She could see a tall, red figure on the balcony.
“These sights will never get old,” she heard Liz sigh.
Raora could only stay quiet and look in awe at the figure, hypothetically, right in front of her. She knew Liz was a well-endowed and beautiful woman, but she could certainly start feeling her heartbeat grow faster, and her cheeks heat up. Then she started hearing a melody. The voice was so smooth that it flowed through Raora’s ears, enveloping her in a cozy embrace.
She stopped, her God Eyes. But the feeling wasn’t gone, her whole body felt a warmth, like being beside a flame on a cold winter night, like being wrapped in a blanket drinking hot chocolate. She wanted more, she wanted to listen to her more. But their distance may be in the way. Not like that would stop her.
—---------------------------------------------------------
“Rara? Are you listening?”. Raora snapped awake from her daydreaming. She hadn’t been listening to the meeting with the Justice members, and now three pairs of eyes were on her.
“Raora, are you feeling alright? I know you don’t always pay attention, but today you seem really out of it.” Liz looked at her with concern, but also her tone sounded a bit annoyed.
Raora couldn’t get rid of that image of Liz’s beautiful figure singing. She even found herself singing the same melody, but quickly realized and stopped herself if she was ever close to Liz. She didn’t want her to know she was singing the same original melody she heard. It wasn’t even about embarrassment, just fear that everything she built with Liz, although little, would crumble. It was silly, it’s not like she would hate her for breaching her privacy and hearing her sing, but thinking it like that did make her look like a weirdo.
“O-oh sorry girls, I just… didn’t rest much, haha…” She tried to avoid the topic. And even though it guaranteed a passing “you should sleep more” comment from Cece and Gigi, Liz didn’t buy her excuse.
After ending the meeting. As Raora was set to go to her room, she was stopped by someone.
“Raora, wait.”. It was Liz, she grabbed her forearm with a bit of force, just in case the artist was able to escape her grip. “Can you come to my room, please?”. The pink haired woman couldn’t tell what expression was in her face. Disappointment? Worry?. The thought of being alone with Liz made her anxiety go through the roof. Raora just stayed quiet and admired her facial structure as if she was studying every detail.
“Raora?”
“Ah! Yes, yes, don’t worry”
"Wonderful, please do me the favour of following me”.
The short trip was filled with silence, only Raora looking behind her leader’s back while passing through the spacious hallways. She was scratching her brain trying to find any excuse if she was caught using her God Eyes in such a way that, even though it wasn’t malicious, looks bleak.
The women entered the room. Raora was immediately struck with the overwhelming amount of scent reminiscent of Liz. The red haired woman started to undress, taking off her jacket. Raora felt her cheeks heat up again like that day, but this time it felt hotter than usual, maybe it was the fact that she was witnessing that same voluptuous physique in person.
“Don’t need to look so intensely, kitty.” Those words woke Raora up. But only processed them after a while, turning bright red in the process and turning away in embarrassment.
“D-did it seem that way?” The artist was using her hands to cover her eyes, even though she was already looking away. That got a giggle from the redhead.
“So… why did you ask me to come here…”
“I’ve been wondering… Your power, your God Eyes. How do they work exactly?” Liz was looking straight into her eyes, like she was analyzing her every movement. The panther could only stay quiet, but having her face this close definitely made her nervous.
She started to lower her gaze and stare at her bright red lips. She began imagining… what it would be like if both their lips connected, to come this close to someone she admired, someone she loved.
Raora was always pretty straightforward with what she liked. She knew deep down she had feelings for Liz, yet she didn’t think much about it. Maybe due to the distance that kept them separated for most of their time working together as the fearless leader and her fellow reporter and sketch artist. Most of their interactions summed up to morning and night greetings, favors and maybe a bit of chit-chat. But after that graceful sight she saw that day, her feelings sprung up with such power, she could only think about Liz. How good would it be to wake up beside her, to be cuddled together in the same bed, to nuzzle her neck as she gave her kisses on her neck, to spend time together away from everything and everyone…
“L-Liz I… This is so sudden, why so much interest?” Raora finally said.
“Nothing really. I just wondered, since you are the only one who has such powers, apart from me.”
“You? What powers do you have?” Liz didn’t realize what she said, she cursed herself under her breath and looked at the pink panther with a gentle smile.
“I talked more than I should, sorry. Well, now that I’ve gone this way, I guess I should tell you.” Liz replied.
“In Great Exardia, the Bloodflame family was known to be a blessed family in a way. We weren’t royalty or anything of that sort, really. Just a powerful family where nobles begged to inherit our blood. I ran away from there in search of something better. Arranged marriages and such aren’t my style” she giggled. “And that’s how I found my passion for singing.” Liz explained, then started to showcase her flame emerging from her chest.
“This flame is the reason why I have the power I have right now. The Bloodflame family’s power is to find someone’s passion and boost it to benefit the soul as a whole. I don’t necessarily want people to know about this to avoid the situation I left, I don’t want people to look at me for my powerful blood, I want people to look at me as my own person, with dreams and goals” She started to look at the ceiling. The pink woman could only be in silence and look at the redhead with a warm gaze.
Without thinking, the artist grabbed her leader’s hand. Liz only responded by looking at her in surprise but changing her expression to that of a docile smile.
“My God Eyes really don’t compare to what you’ve been through Liz, I was just gifted this power. In the Romance Empire, I was just known as that big pink cat that can draw very well. And so, word got around, and then I was called for an interview, which I passed. And, I don’t know how or when, one of the staff members here told me that I had received a special power to help us in our search for criminals.” Raora turned her gaze to her hand on Liz’s soft, mellow hand and started to caress it.
“The Artist with the God Eyes.” The pink woman repeated. “Whenever I concentrate, I can activate them and see everything at any moment, in any distance I can.”
The two stayed quiet for a while. It was them, nature’s sounds and the coziness of Liz’s room. Raora wouldn’t change it for anything.
“Hey so…” Liz said, finally breaking the tension between them. “Do you want me to sing for you?”
Raora’s eyes lit up with excitement. She had been waiting for this for so long.
“I take that as a yes.” Liz giggled. “You know that your tale dictates whatever you’re feeling without you being conscious, right?”
“What?! Stop, that's embarrassing!” Raora pouted, grabbing her tail in order for it to not move. Liz only smiled at her. Every time she did, Raora could feel her gaze growing looser from that imposing and threatening stare she and the criminals that faced her knew about.
She prepared herself, and started to sing that beautiful melody Raora knew well. The pink panther could only stare at her, having her ears melt by such a great voice. And when she finished, she could only do a one-person standing ovation, she clapped as hard as she could. Liz turned away, hiding her embarrassment.
“It wasn’t that big of a deal, I still need to improve in some aspects…” The red woman declared after making sure she wasn’t blushing anymore. “But, I’m glad my first spectator was you, Raora.” This time, her gaze was more loving than ever. The pink lady could only beam.
The leader grabbed her reporter’s hand and led her to sit down on her bed. She used her free hand to caress her right cheek.
“L-Liz! What are you doing, are you listening to me?” Raora said, in a panic, but also looking forward to what the bigger woman was about to do.
“Payback for not listening to me earlier.” Liz teased her lips with her thumb. Her face getting closer each second.
“Liz… I love you.” Raora could only whisper a few words before getting dragged into a kiss so passionate, Liz’s flame started to burn brighter than before. When they separated, Raora could only think of how much she already missed tasting those sweet lips again. Liz gave her what she wanted as if she was reading her mind. But this time the redhead’s tongue was touching the panther’s lips. Raora put her arms above her new lover’s nape, and Liz responded by grabbing her waist and closing the little gap between them. They sadly had to separate to breathe.
“I love you too” Liz finally responded. Gaining a huge smile on Raora’s part and a warm and loving gaze from her leader. They started hugging, Liz had her chin on top of Raora’s head, and her hand stroke silky smooth pink hairs. Raora snuggled closer whilst also giving her gentle kisses on the neck.
“Want to stay the night? It’s not like you are far from your own room.” Suggested Liz. “And you needn’t worry about someone barging inside, I warned everyone in Justice to never enter my room without permission. So we have the full night to ourselves.” Raora only nodded without separating from her.
They stayed that way for a while. Raora finally detached herself from Liz, only to look up at her beautiful singer asking for a kiss, Liz understood immediately and complied without protest. That night would be one to remember for the Scarlet Queen and the Artist with God Eyes.
