Work Text:
The world Anzu found herself in —
She found herself finding it hard to believe Riri wasn ’t somewhere interfering in the background. However, just as her mother found it hard to believe she’d not managed to mess up her school uniform badly, Anzu found it hard to think she’d ever end up in the same school as the ikemen elf boy.
And yet there she was, actually getting to go.
“Riri likely interfered with the scores somehow, right? When I get my hands on them…”
It turned out sooner rather than later as Riri ended up on the same bus as her on the way to school. “You!”
“What?” Riri said.
“You’re trying to set me up with someone again, right?”
“You mean you actually ran into someone you’ve got the hots for here?” Riri said, clapping her hands together as if she were in female form.
“You did!”
“I didn’t. Can’t actually,” Riri said.
“Then why are you here.”
“Well…” Riri frowned. “Can’t exist in that form in this world, so got stuck in this form. I’m in the general studies course, but does this world with your favorite things make up for what we did?”
“Well…” Anzu frowned. “I guess getting to be a superhero is fun.”
“Oh, good!” Riri clapped her hands together.
Anzu wasn ’t sure whether the world was good or that Riri wasn’t actually interfering.
