Him

Summary:

Being a father of two children is quite stressful for Mihawk.

Since Zoro and Perona are in his life, he spends most of his time with them.

Maybe he should take a break sometime and take care of him too.

Work Text:

Mihawk looked boredly at his students at the dojo.

They were pretty good for their age.

Then his gaze fell on his beloved child.

Zoro had definitely taken his love for swords from him and as soon as he was the right age, he had joined his dojo.

He was the best among those his age, there was only one girl a few years older than Zoro who always managed to beat him.

"You don't give up" Kuina said looking at the green haired boy.

"Shut up!" he exclaimed, angrily.

In the corner, on the benches, Perona was sitting sulking, glaring at Kuina.

That child didn't like sharing her brother at all.

"Zoro!"

The child was distracted and Kuina took the opportunity to hit him and make him fall to the ground.

"It's not right!" Zoro exclaimed angrily.

"You're the one who's distracted" she said looking at the boy who had distracted Zoro "This child is even more pathetic than you"

Mihawk narrowed his eyes at the obvious offense towards his son.

"Kuina" he called back in an authoritative voice.

The little girl stiffened.

"Sorry, Sensei" she said blushing in shame "I won't say it again"

"That's enough for today, go home" he told her.

"Yes, Sensei" the little girl said, looking down.

"Everything okay, Zoro?" said the boy.

"Luffy, you made me distracted" his son complained.

"Sorry" the boy with the straw hat giggled...wait, is he wrong or was that Red's straw hat?

He approached the two children.

"Am I wrong or is that Red's hat?" he asked looking at him.

The child nodded.

"He gave it to me" he said happily.

“So little style” a female voice said sarcastically from behind.

He turned to see Miss Crocodile, with her usual elegance, with her cigar in her mouth and her usual elegance.

"It's beautiful, Mommy" the boy replied with a pout.

The woman rolled her eyes and looked at Mihawk.

"To what do I owe your visit, Miss Crocodile?" he asked her.

"My idiot husband wants to take me on vacation for a couple of days for our anniversary" she explained "Luffy wants to be with your son, so for a couple of days you should take care of him while we're away"

"On vacation? Really?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

The woman smiled.

"I love my son, but sometimes I also want to spend some time with my husband" she said shrugging her shoulders "Not all of us are like you who only think about work and your brats, how long has it been since you and the Red don't fuck?"

Mihawk blushed.

"These aren't..." he started to say.

"Your expression gives me all the answers I need" she giggled, turning on her heel and leaving the dojo "See you in a few days, take care of my Luffy"

"Bye mommy!" the child exclaimed, waving his arms.

"Tsk" was all Mihawk replied.

He didn't need that woman's advice.

***

Miss Crocodile was right.

Mihawk couldn't remember the last time they spent time alone together.

Whenever they were together it was always either Zoro and Perona or Ace and Sabo or all four.

He had to solve this problem.

"So you're giving me five brats?!" his father exclaimed looking at his children, Shanks' children and Luffy "Not that I mind looking at my beloved grandchildren, but why also Red's children and this brat?"

"Because I'm asking you" he replied calmly "Now take the children and don't come back before tomorrow afternoon"

Rayleigh sighed, but eventually walked out with the children.

Mihawk closed the door and sighed.

Finally.

"Hawkeye-kun, what are you all doing in the hallway?" Shanks asked coming out of the kitchen "Oh...where are the kids?"

"I left them with my father" he said quietly.

"Oh...and why?" he asked.

He blushed.

"I...I've noticed that I've been neglecting you a bit lately" he admitted "It's been a long time since we spent time together...and when we do we're always with the kids, so I think we should spend some time together, some time alone and maybe go on a date"

The whole time he had been talking, he had not looked him in the eye, but when he received no response, he turned to look at him.

Shanks had red cheeks and...was he crying? Really? Damn, why was he dating that idiot?

"Hawkeye-kun~" he said hugging him "You're so cute, I love you"

He sighed, stroking his red hair.

“It's okay, I love you too, idiot”

“But we're not going out on a date” he said.

Mihawk looked at him in amazement.

"Huh?" he asked confused "I did all this for you and you didn't..."

His eyes widened when he no longer felt the ground beneath his feet and suddenly his legs were wrapped around Red's hips.

“We have a free house with no brats, why would we go out?” he asked kissing his neck "When will the kids be back?"

"Tomorrow afternoon"

"Well, then get ready, because you won't be walking for a whole week" he said with a stupid smile.

Mihawk's face turned completely red and he hit his boyfriend's buggy head.

"Red!" he exclaimed embarrassed.

He still let his boyfriend carry him to the bedroom and promised himself that the next time he saw Miss Crocodile he would give her a bottle of the best wine in town.

"I missed you" Shanks whispered against his neck as he laid him on the bed.

"You too Red, you too"
