Somewhere in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan
At Shibuya Scramble Crossing
We can see a boy seemingly in his late teens and an average build with short unkempt dark brown hair and blue eyes and was wearing some casual clothing with a weird mark on his right hand
His name is Ritsuka Fujimaru(also known as the Master of Chaldea(With Chaldea known as Chaldea Security Organization, is a secret agency founded with the purpose of preventing the "certain extinction" of the human race. It specializes in handling temporal anomalies and other existential threats to humanity) and was Gudao by others) and a few days ago he was rayshifted here in Shibuya to prevent a incoming singularity occurring there in future year 2021 to which shocked him and the others in Chaldea since the year they are living in is the year 2018
But with now the mission to prevent this year to become a singularity complete he and the other servants he brought with are able to explore the city too what it has to offer
However we won't be focusing on the master and the other servant he brought and will only focus on one of the servants which is a young girl that has blue eyes with long black hair tied in a high ponytail and is also wearing casual clothing brought by Ritsuka to ensure she and the other servants can blend in the populace
Her name is Ushiwakamaru(Also known as the historical Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune), A Rider Class servant that responded to Fujimaru's summons to aid him on restoring proper human history
Currently she decided to split from the group as she wanted to check every nook and cranny the city had instead of following the others, despite the other servants protesting they should stick together
The only reason Fujimaru let her go is because she explained to them that she wanted to check to do some reconnaissance to make sure no one who are involved on starting to make a singularity are gone for good to which he see's as a plausible
But she had another reason why she wanted to separate from the group and that is to get some fresh air and spend some time alone for her thoughts to occupy her because-
Suddenly her train of thought was cut off when she noticed a huge crowd is gathering to which piqued her curiosity
And as she go near them she saw a open theater stage is being prepared for everyone to watch to which she noticed the title of the play that shocked and made her a little nostalgic at the same time
"The Great Adventures of Ushiwakamaru" A Period Drama by Theatrical Troupe Mikazuki-gumi and Wonderland's X Showtime!!!
As she saw this she notice the one's preparing the stage prepared benches for the gathered people to sit on and with that many people take a seat and started to pay the fee to watch with Ushiwakamaru paying the fee by using the money given to her by Fujimaru incase they wanted to buy something before they return to Chaldea
————" That's strange. This is somewhat unreasonable. "
————" Though, it was human beings that preferred emotions rather than gains and losses. "
————" I only wanted my older brother to praise me, but I was lacking something. "
————" I am sorry, I could not change up to my last moments———— "
Ushiwakamaru: *she whispered so no one can hear her* Damnit not again
Hours ago as her master and her allies managed to stop those who are about to start a singularity in this era one of those people managed to use a spell that makes her remember her final moments which caused her to almost die if it wasn't for another servant who is also her old friend Benkei to block that attack and made her snap out of it and with that she managed to assist her master and the other on finishing the enemies due to her quick movement and reflexes before they can cast there attacks
But despite that her final moments when her older brother killed her because of her inability to understand love to which also made her unable read the hearts of men
This was because she was left under the care of a temple when she was very young, and she was raised unaware of a father's love, a mother's love, as well as love spun from a significant other. If there is only one fact, Ushiwakamaru was a samurai, and as a samurai they serve the lord and swears allegiance to them. Concerning her, that was the only truth, and with the exception of that, everything else didn't matter. Separated from her parents when she was very young, she was disciplined by a Tengu deep in the mountains; subsequently, she was not able to nurture her " humanity " and without that she fights for the sake of her master instead of herself, making her close to a pure beast
And because of that she never came to understand why her Older brother Minamoto-no-Yoritomo even held killing intent towards her
When she stayed at Chaldea after she got summoned she never pondered about it until now which irritates her to no end and with that she wanted to be alone until she can resolve her problem
Suddenly the lights that were opened in the open theater stage suddenly went dark with her noting the show is now about to start with her interest being piqued as she wanted too see how she was portrayed here
And as the play began she saw a girl with purple eyes and long grayish-green hair, with the front strands tied at the ends playing the role as her mother who which made her question herself in silence if that is how her mother protected her as she was taking her to the Buddhist temple, but alas she'll never know
As the play drags on she was amazed on how she was portrayed in the show and was enjoying it as she giggled on how the short girl with big sparkly pink eyes and pink hair cut into a short, messy bob who plays as her in the story intimidating the boy who has orange-yellow eyes, short scruffy blonde hair with peach tips who's playing the role of Benkei in the scene where she first met Benkei that fateful night with the girl playing as her in the play having great reflexes that can almost rival hers if she was trained to improve it
Finally as the play ends everyone give the stage actors and actresses around of applause including her as it was beautiful as they portray the characters in the play perfectly and after that many were taking there leave except for her as she sits at her seat once again as she still has a issue to settle in her mind before they return to Chaldea so she can focus all her attention when helping her master when she is needed
Suddenly out of nowhere a loud voiced surprised her
"Helloooo!!"
She then immediately turned around and recognized the one greeting her was the one who played as her in the play earlier
Ushiwakamaru: O-Oh you're the one who played Ushiwakamaru in the play, yes?
Emu: Hai, I'm Emu Otori! It’s Nice to meet you, wonderhoy!
Ushiwakamaru: Wonderhoy?
Emu: Mhm mhm!
Thinking it best not to use her real name to introduce herself, she immediately comes up with a fake one instead
Ushiwakamaru: Uhm, I’m Kuroko
Emu: Nice to meet you, Kuroko-san! I see you’re enjoying our play, it’s really interesting isn't it?
Ushiwakamaru: Yes, It really piqued my interest as it never failed to portray Ushiwakamaru's adventure that was said in the books, but may I ask you something?
Emu: Of course! What is it?
Ushiwakamaru: How did you feel when playing the role of Ushiwakamaru?
Emu: Hmm, it was very challenging! Ushiwakamaru is a complex and interesting character with so much history and emotion! But in the end, I have my wonderful friends who helped me by giving me advice and comments that helped me learn how to act like Ushiwakamaru. Why do you ask, are you also interested?
Ushiwakamaru: Well while I was reading about Ushiwakamaru's tales there was this question that made me ponder about him as I noticed that he was never able to understand love which seemingly make him unable to understand the hearts of many, which is the same feeling I'm having ever since I was born which frustrates me to no end
Emu: Why, did something happen- *Eyes widened as she realized she might be intruding in Kuroko's privacy* A-Ah! Sorry! I shouldn’t have asked Kuroko that! Please forgive me! *She bows slightly*
Ushiwakamaru: It's fine, I've wanting to get this out of my chest now, but to keep things short because my inability to understand love I never got to understand why my brother want- I mean tried to kill me
Emu: Ehhhh?!
Ushiwakamaru: *Chuckles a little* Shocking right? But I never done anything wrong against him and only mind my own business as I do what have to do in the family as a younger sibling
Emu: I-I see. . .It seems you've been through then, Kuroko-san?
Ushiwakamaru: Yeah, despite him getting arrested my frustration about why he did that never disappeared
Emu: I see… I totally understand, Kuroko-san! I’ll try my best to help you, don’t worry!
Ushiwakamaru: Yep. . .sorry I had said this to you Otori-san
Emu: No I don't mind, I think I slightly sympathize with how your feeling
Ushiwakamaru: Really?
Emu: Well, I was also very unique and different from the rest of my siblings as the youngest. I always tried to find some ways to help my family's business at our amusement park to ensure its guests can have a wonderhoy time!
Ushiwakamaru: An Amusement park? That'll be Phoenix Wonderland right?
Emu: Hai, Hai, my family owns the park and currently I'm with my group to train to become even better as a troupe. So when I return to the Amusement Park, I can perform the best show to ensure it'll make everyone happy, just like my grandfather wanted!
Ushiwakamaru: I see…
Emu: But regardless of the situations we experience in life, sometimes understanding the situation that got us here isn't about knowing all the answers. It's about accepting what happened and finding peace with it so we can move forward to become better!
Ushiwakamaru: Accepting it, huh?
Emu: Accepting something that you don’t understand is hard, Kuroko-san. But It's not your fault things happened the way they did, by letting go of the past we can discover a lot of paths that can help you understand the things you're struggling to understand at the first place! It'll help you a lot, I promise!
Ushiwakamaru: Hm. . .I'll try, thank you, Otori-san
Emu: You can call me Emu Kuroko-san and you’re welcome!, I’m glad I could help
Suddenly a familiar firm and confident voice called Emu's name and with that Emu bid farewell to Ushiwakamaru and wished to meet her once again one day with the latter saying they might meet again one day as well and then they parted ways
And after a few more minutes she spotted Benkei and Fujimaru seemingly looking for her with them asking if she's alright to which she answered to them that she's fine and safe as she smiled and join them as they prepare to return to Chaldea
