"That...was...awesome!" Bri came up behind her grandma. "Can I do that too?!"
"Are you in the beast keeping track?"
"Well...I'm actually taking all tracks, some I'm better at than others."
"But you're better at beast keeping right?"
"Well yes but..." Did she want to? She kinda liked not having a coven seal.
"Did your mother pass it onto you too?" Gwen sighed. "What am I going to do with her?...Anyway, joining a coven is great! You get to study magic and-"
"Yeah, one type of magic. So actually by joining a coven you're limiting yourself with what you can do, instead of studying multiple where you can be more powerful."
"But you can also be more powerful with that one type of magic too. Did you not see what I did with the bees?"
"But you'll also have more weaknesses too. Like oh no, you're trapped in abomination magic, what are you supposed to do?"
"Well you can also be more predictable that way. Oh, you're going up against an opponent who's using the same magic as you? You're screwed!"
"Not if you study multiple tracks!"
One of the imposters from before poked his head out of the ground. "Um, excuse me?"
"What?!" They shouted at the same time.
"...You're making a racket, can you please quiet down?" He went back underground.
Oh, they were arguing? Oops. "Sorry about that..."
Gwen sighed again. "It's fine, just a force of habit. I'd argue with Eda all the time about this."
"...Besides, I don't think I'd want to join the best keeping coven, or any coven for that matter. What's the fun in that?" Bri smiled at her before she turned around and left.
