We might have been outcasts, throwaways
Unwanted, misplaced children stolen from our homes
Destined to work in the enemy mines as slaves
Hope, happiness, even the future from us taken away
But, sometimes, the light does shine
Even into the darkest corners of a desolate nest
Finding allies, perhaps friends in the impossible places
Then coming together for a common purpose
Escape!!!
And we did do just that, we got away!
Stole a gorgeous ship in the process as well
Then to be riding the rapids as we did there for a while
Sometimes fighting with each other, but mostly with smiles
Finding adventure, new places and people on the way
To a destiny none of us had expected ever have a part in to play
But we managed, even saving the galaxy, well sort of happening
Finally accepted as part of a community -yeah we totally slayed!
Realising something else there too
While travelling though all those many planets and moons
That we had become a caring, uplifting and loving family
Nothing us ever again to divide, as this, was for eternity!
How lucky were we!
Having found a place where to be
That of a family
And friends to go along with it indeed!
But then, another mission beckoned
And guess we all reckoned
It was time to take part in the larger picture
The galaxy a big place, true, but out there
A new exiting adventure awaited us all!
And so here was are on a brand new ship
Travelling through the galaxy so neat
And if we’re lucky enough
Totally going beyond this, known stuff
While looking for a new adventure!
Or perhaps the adventure finally found us?
But it’s not a big deal, hardly even a fuss!
Because we are totally ready for everything and anything
As long as we all remain together
The galaxy can all of it onto us spring
And that’s a promise we can most certainly keep
To go, get out there, and new lifeforms seek!
