I still remember that day 4 years ago, the day I was saved by that girl. The crazy cyborg that went rampant in our city, killing who knows how many people and I was almost one of them. I ran with the others, looking back and feeling my fear rise. I was going to die, that day was going to be my last. I was just a kid in high school, I didn't know what to do. Tripping I saw it coming towards me and I could almost see the light flashing before my eyes.
A rock flew at it, hitting it in the head and it looks to see a girl about 15 like me. She looked just as scared but when she looked at me and gestured me to run I didn't know how to react. Screaming at it to chase her it obliged and she went running the opposite direction. I took the chance she gave me to escape. And as I ran away I could hear a scream.
It's been 4 years and now here I stand, alive and normal, a 19 year old kid looking for a job to pay for my apartment. I'm not as lanky as I was back then, my muscles more defined and my face has slimmed out, so I'm not as afraid of danger as I used to be. I walk down the sidewalk a newspaper in hands in search of jobs hiring; still no luck but if I give up what good will that do? My green eyes scan the page in hopes of finding something and I don't take notice to my surroundings.
'Maybe a waiter...? Or I could try getting into business. Damn this is frustrating,' I sigh and fold it, running my hand through my hair. A miracle... Why can't I have some sort of miracle?
An explosion behind me makes me jump and look back in shock. People are running and screaming as a big wolf like beast comes charging through the street, roaring and foam seeming to come from it's mouth. It's eyes are crazed and it looks almost werewolf like. I'm frozen for a moment before it stops, and growls, almost smirking.
"You weak humans! Too afraid to fight the likes of me?!" It cackles letting out a loud roar. I back up, fear coming over me again.
"Help, somebody!"
"Please give us a hero!"
"Save us!"
People all scream and I furrow my brows. A little girl, only maybe 6 or 7, runs right into me and almost falls over before I grab her. She's crying and hyperventilating as she whimpers,"H-Help me!"
I nod and begin pulling her away but when I look back the wolf looks our direction and let's out a roaring laugh.
"Run, run, run, you can't escape me!"
It begins rushing at us and before I realize it it's right in front of us. Thinking fast and remembering that day again I push the girl away and use my arms as a sort of shield as it bites down at me. My eyes are clenched tight and I wait for death to take a bite out of me.
"That's where you went, furball!"
My eyes open right away in shock as I hear someone shout. That voice...
In moments the wolf is grabbed by the tail and thrown away from me. I step back, shocked by the strength of whoever just saved me and I look at who it is; my heart skips and my eyes go wide. She turns to me smiling, her face the same but her eyes different, golden irises and black in place of the whites. Her hair is (longer, shorter, the same), still (h/c). Her body is what shocks me most; robotic arms, her palms seeming to glow with energy, black up her neck and I can see some robotic parts on her neck down as well. She's dressed in a (color) tank top, (color) (jeans,shorts, skirt) and (sneakers, sandals, flats). I recognize her so well but at the same time she's so different. She blinks at me and her expression matches mine as she points at me.
"You.. I saved you!" She doesn't sound angry but more happy about it. I slowly nod. I can't help but admit she's... Well beautiful, even with the change. My heart beats fast and I lightly blush.
A scream of 'Look out!' makes her turn and the wolf pounces at her. She dodges and jumps into the air and lifts her hands, palms facing it. Golden energy circulates in it and a laser like shot flies out, hitting the beast straight on. She lands and looks at me before pointing at the girl and shouting,"Go, now!"
I listen and grab the now unconscious child before running the way I was heading.
I was saved again...

Hours pass as survivors question what's going on and when the girl comes walking towards us everyone fears the worst. She smiles triumphantly and says,"The beast is down!"
Everyone cheers but I stay quiet, still in shock. After the people surround her then walk to go comfort loved ones she gives me her attention and smiles. She walks up to me and I can feel the blush coming back.
"So, I guess we should have introductions since this is our second time running into each other," saying this she holds out her hand for me to take. "I'm (F/n) (L/n), and seeing as I can tell you're surprised by my appearance why don't we go get some dinner and I'll tell you?~"
My heart beats fast and I take her robotic hand, eager to figure out what happened in the four years after she distracted that cyborg.

"So, how do I start out?" She begins as we sit at a pizza parlor. She looks to be thinking while I take a bite of my slice. She taps her chin and half nods, continuing,"Well, first I'll start from the beginning, when I got chased by that cyborg."
She goes on to explain the whole story; after she risked her life for mine she was nearly killed. Some Dr. Stench found her, saving her and turning her into a cyborg as well. Now she works as a hero but isn't a part of the hero association. I'm in awe hearing it all and when she finishes she smiles.
"Being like this isn't bad though, I get to protect people and stop bad guys," she laughs biting her pizza. I furrow my brows, not sure how to respond to it all. "So, what are you up to?"
I think of how to answer that, replying,"I'm looking for a job tight now. It's not been easy but I'm surviving I guess."
She looks surprised then I can almost see the lightbulb appear above her head. "I know what to do!" I blink shocked and listen to her curious on what she's talking about. "You can live with me and help me with hero stuff!!"
I can almost feel steam come out of my ears with how hot my face got. I cough and look at her confused but she is serious about it. She stands, done eating with me following and faces me.
"Well, let's get packing!~"
