After the battle in the sky with aknalogia, A portal opened and sucked in Natsu dropping him into the ocean, next to a man who was wearing a straw hat with a red ribbon.
The guy was barely staying above water so Natsu swam over and helped keep the man afloat. Natsu saw a ship up ahead so he started swimming towards it. Once they got there Natsu pulled the guy onto the ship before hitting the deck throwing up.. Natsu groaned, “motion sickness.”
Luffy looked down at the pink haired man who had just randomly dropped into the ocean next to him and had pulled him out of the water which was an impressive feat. Luffy was concerned about the guy and dropped him in the water.
Natsu smiled and said, “thanks for that..” looking around and not recognizing the area he asked, “where are we?”
Luffy said, “we are in the east blue sea.”
Natsu asked, “how far is that from magnolia?”
Luffy tilted his head, “magnolia as in the tree?”
Natsu said, “the one in fiore?"
Luffy asked, “fiore? never heard of it…you must not be from around here.” He looked to the sky and asked, “where did you come from anyway?”
Natsu said, “I was fighting the murder happy dragon…. killed it I think and landed in this ocean.”
Luffy raised an eyebrow, “a dragon? You fighting a dragon?”
Natsu said, “I'm a dragon slayer so it makes sense.”
Luffy said, "if we bring you on the ship again are you going to get sick?”
Natsu said, “yes I get motion sickness from all types of travel options.” He muttered, “it's part of being a dragon slayer."
Luffy said, “we are a few days out so you can't stay in the water long…plus there are sharks.”
Natsu grudgingly got back on the boat.
Luffy anchored the boat a few hours later and Natsu returned to a normal pallor. Luffy asked, “you want to eat something and perhaps tell me about your land.. perhaps I can find the great treasure there.”
Natsu asked, “the great treasure?”
Luffy said, "whoever finds the one piece becomes king of the pirates.” He looked to the ocean, “it's my life's dream.”
Natsu said, “Sounds like an adventure, count me in.” He laughed, “me and Lucy love to help people fulfill their dreams although are you sure it's a real thing?” He looked over at the dark haired boy who looked about his age and said, “me and Lucy went after something once to find out it was only the friends we made along the way. It was not actually an item."
Three moon cycles later
Natsu said, “all of that for a pirate hat with gems on it?”
Luffy said, “it's not just any pirate hat, it's the hat of the first pirate king.”
Natsu said, “the straw hat looks better on you.”
Luffy laughed and said, “you are the strangest fire eating person I have ever met.”
Natsu laughed, “and you are the strangest rubber-like person I have met…I wonder what gildarts would think of you.”
They heard a loud noise and looked over to the entrance.
Lucy said, “Natsu..it was a pain to find you…the celestial king finally helped locate you when I threatened to break all the keys.”
Natsu said, “why would you do that?”
Lucy yelled, “you fell into a portal and it's been three months..we were worried about you.” She looked around and said, “We need to get back before the portal closes.”
Natsu waved at Luffy and said, “don't let it go to your head, you're still a pirate.”
Luffy laughed and said, “don't forget the friends you made here on your journey as well, my friend.”
Natsu said, “I'll be back ….portals happen all the time…just ask Lucy.”
Lucy rolled her eyes dragging Natsu through the portal as it started to wain.
Luffy saw a flying blue cat with white angel wings .... Perhaps the pink haired fella wasn't as crazy as he thought he was. Luffy returned to his ship with a chest of gold and a pirate hat. He had found the treasure so what was next? Perhaps he would terrorize a few old friends.
