Pan to a shot of a blue suburban American house with a deep blue tiled roof and deck that leads from the front door to the sidewalk.
It's early morning, the sun is slowly waking up, and it's a Monday.
The front door proceeds to pop open, and a girl in her teens with reddish-brown eyes and fluffy hair with a teal headband on top appeared. She wore a red jacket with short sleaves over a white collared shirt, a black skirt with teal shorts underneath, salmon red leg warmers that matched her jacket, and black shoes that were white on the soles and tip. Additionally, she had a clip-on black heart button she put in the middle of her collar where a tie would go.
she took a minute to collect herself. It had been 3 years from when she moved from Japan to the US, and yet in that time, things hadn't gotten the least bit normal for her. And one of those things was her best friend, Keita. Thing is, he used to be normal, quite average, even! But something, changed after they moved to the US. Maybe it was because he was the only person from home she knew other then her parents, but she started noticing things about him. The way he talked to himself, the way there were always some weird shadows following him around, and how there was always just... Something off when you looked deeper....
she would have kept pondering about this, but that's when a voice shouted out from the dwelling of the house.
"Have a great day, Fumika!" called out her mother
"Thanks ma, will do" She replied
And with that, she closed the door behind her and sighed as she prepared herself. Today was the day she was going to do it. She was going to find out what was up with Keita, even if she herself wasn't prepared for that answer.
"..Okay, lets get this over with already"
